This Starbucks is the worst I have ever been too. The lack in consistency for 7$ coffees is terrible. You are supposed to get what you pay for otherwise it is "theft". Not sure what the deal is when my order is customized with the customizations literally on a sticker on the coffee.... To whomever manages this place, find some employees who value their positions and actually like their jobs... oh, and can follow basic customizations on coffees people pay for. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The drive through line is always 15-20 mins long so I mobile order. Here's one of many bad experiences: Yesterday I mobile ordered 10 minutes before, went in to get my order and she said it wasn't ready yet. Five mins later she asked me again what my name was and said it wasn't ready. She hands out all these other people's orders and as the counter is less cluttered she finds mine that had been sitting there THE ENTIRE TIME. Hands me my cold food and drink, no apology. I just looked at her in disbelief and walked out. Starbucks typically feels somewhat classy and the employees consistent. This place feels like Arbys and the employee turnover seems to be massive. The low rating at this store is understandable. Ask for a decaf Ice coffee. They say we don't have that with an attitude. Really. Starbucks no decaf iced coffee. How hard is it to poor decaf coffee over ice. Whatever. Guess when you're the only coffee place in Yucca you can treat people rudely. I come from L.A. where there is a Starbucks around every corner and didn't know what to expect at a Starbucks that is the only one in the area. I have to say I am totally pleased. This Starbucks is clean, has plenty of products available, and always has seats in or outside. I also have been able to use the clean bathrooms without waiting forever every time I go. The staff is friendly, fast, and efficient. I have only had to wait a minute once when both their drive thru and lobby were busy. I was still taken care of in a reasonable time that particular Saturday. I approve. read more

Ever since I moved out here in October I've been going to Starbucks at least once a month. I love how everyone is so nice and respectful. Great customer service. Yesterday the gentleman took my order but got my order wrong. I told one of the employees this wasn't what i ordered. So he told me he can give me a refund and I told him I payed with my Starbucks card. So the manager said it's ok she'll give me cash. The gentleman still gave me the wrong coffee I ordered back and said I can keep and they got the ice coffee I wanted correctly. So prettying much I got a free coffee. Stopped at this Starbucks on the way out of Joshua Tree and it was a terrible experience. None of the employees wore hats or had their hair tied up and we ended up with a hair in one of our drink orders. One employee was more focused on his phone than the large amount of orders that were coming in on a busy Saturday afternoon, and on top of that, this same employee did not wash their hands upon returning to work after using their phone behind the register. Looks real bad when we're supposed to be washing our hands due to COVID-19. read more

I've been going to Starbucks for many years and this is the only Starbucks that does not have Sugar in the Raw, they also don't carry many other Items that a suburban store would have. The manager is rude and they act as if you are doing them a huge favor by showing up to order coffee. Many mornings the wait is 10 of more minutes to get a simple Americano. They are the only Starbucks within 15 miles which apparently makes them "special." read more

This location is ALWAYS busy. They need another yucca or Joshua tree location. They are relatively efficient but things come out rushed. For example, nearly every time I order the egg spinach and feta wrap the center is still nearly frozen. It's not necessarily the workers fault, they're always so nice and accommodating. It's just that they are too busy. This location also tends to run out of various items on a daily basis. They also have a community announcement board for events easily seen and accessed to the left of entry. Close proximity to food options and shopping makes it an easy choice. You'll find a lot of locals outside visiting in the am and a lot of commuters do their bulk coffee shopping here. I can think of a few things I rather do than wait for my coffee at this Starbucks. I'd rather wait in line for a ride in Disneyland surrounded by loud and obnoxious 12 year-olds in Mickey Mouse ears for 4 hours. I'd rather follow my wife to the mall and listen to her ask me which pair I like the best only to go against my preferences. I'd rather stream the entire Twilight series on a Windows Vista while connected to 56k dial-up internet. During the time I waited to get my iced coffee, I could have climbed the highest elevations of Peru, meticulously picked out the freshest and richest coffee beans, tamed the fiercest of burros, mingled with the locals and opened my own coffee shop. When service is slow - I can understand. Places can get busy and orders can get lost. I really do understand. But when service is slow because you have incompetent employees that laugh and joke about screwing up orders, then we got a problem. Listen, no one finds it the slightest bit amusing that you confused black iced coffee with a cheese danish. Close this one down, Starbucks. When your "barista" messes up an order of "Tall, Black Iced Coffee" - it's time. When your customers have to wait until the second coming of Christ to get their drinks - it's time. Shut. It. This is a dirty store with what looks to be mud on the floors, behind the counter. It smells like a bottle of spoiled baby bottle milk inside. Bathroom was overflowing with trash and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. Our peppermint cocoa and chai latte were lukewarm, almost cool. Disgusting!! read more

The drive thru at this Starbucks is consistently slow. You can expect at least a 20 minute wait. Once you get to the counter, the staff is great. Not sure if this is a management problem or shear volume. During covid 19, this Starbucks takes mobile orders but no one is allowed in the store so customers still have to sit in the long line of the drive thru. Mobile ordering is pointless. I always hate going to this Starbucks but I have friends and family in yucca and I have no choice. But as a partner myself this is sad. My drinks are never made right the taste quality is horrible. I had chunks of the soy milk from not properly being shaken before pouring it. And 6 scopes of matcha in a green ice tea latte? Come on if you don't put 6 scoops in your venti green tea frapp then why are you going to put 6 in an iced one. The drive through is always super slow and super rude ( every once in a while you get a nice lady at the window, but rarely). Waited 30 minutes just to make an order then The person in The Mic wouldn't tell us our total or confirm our order. Jus silence... Until I said that's all, then just a "okay, see you at the window" The coffee itself is usually good, but mine tasted like soap today. I got a venti sweet cream cold brew with hazelnut. Usual Starbucks quality was not on poimt today... The staff not working the drive through is very nice, bit I rarely go in because I only get it when I'm on my way out if the basin. I have lived in Yucca Valley my whole life and the many years that Starbucks has been here me and my family have enjoyed them every time we go. Never a complaint until now. I totally get that times are hard and there may be some staff shortages but lately this Starbucks in Yucca Valley has been closed every time me or my wife goes to get coffee. I went at 8pm and they were closed one night. Then my wife went one day in the morning and they were closed. I've gone multiple times at different times in the past couple weeks and they have been closed. I went tonight and it was just after 8pm and there was a paper sign on the drive thru that stated most days that the store closes at 2pm. How in the hell can a coffee shop or any business be closed mid-day?? Unless you normally close at that time cause your a breakfast/lunch establishment. Very disappointed. We don't need to buy coffee there but we enjoy it sometimes. Something needs to change at this store. The hours suck and the quality of the drinks have gone way down and the customer service has been effected greatly as well. Cmon Starbucks!!! DO BETTER!!! read more
