The seniors menu is great. Friendly service & reasonable prices. Quite busy on weekends so getting a table might not be quick.

I can't say enough good things about this place, the service is always great and fairly quick for how incredibly busy it is. The vibe is like 1930s bop and I love it. Think the shake place from grease. Super cute. The food, now I have a huge family and no where else in Vancouver area can we get meals for a family of 6 plus drinks for $40. I don't get it. Cool place. Great and fast service. Very clean. And the food (that they make themselves) is fantastic. Why screw this up by serving frozen bagged vegetables as a side. Or a soup that either comes out of a can or bag. You cannot tell me that that isn't Progresso Chicken Noodle, or more likely a cheap Sysco knockoff?! I'll pay more for real food! The Startdust Diner is a definite blast from the past! Reminds me of an old school diner from back home. It's everything you'd expect - the old school decor and feel, and diner menu! The staff are super nice, the service is fast! $9.99 for a large Chicken Fried Steak breakfast - can't beat that! I enjoyed the gravy and the chicken fried steak was good. Back in the day circa 2022! This is a diners diner, with a classic menu and folks that work hard to serve it up right. Most times their food is on point - salads served cold, food served hot, deserts could be dinners... What else could you ask for? Oh yeah, in today's inflated world they are relatively cheap while using quality ingredients. Enjoy! read more

The metalic diner, what is not love?! Spur of the moment one might, because hell theyʻre open until 2130, and not like other places that are open until 2100. We were greeted promptly, drink orders taken, we looked at the menu and ordered am appetizer, mozz sticks, they give quite a few, more than other places, I ordered an omelette, with a hadhbrowns and a biscuit, bf ordered a chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, since he didnt want toast or a biscuit, they gabe him extra hadhbrown, he wanted his eggs cooked medium, the chef did a fanstatic job, for dessert we had the creme brulee, it was heaven, I have a sweet tooth for this dessert. I want to like this place but honestly my experience here was extremely disappointing. We walked in and it was busy for sure, Sunday Easter Brunch crowd it looked like. But right away we noticed seven or eight staff members all sort of crowding around the front counter. It was immediately disorienting. Who were we supposed to talk to? A bunch of other understandable stuff happened. Order came out wrong, order took a long time, waters never got refilled, hair in my food. If it was just one of those things, or even a couple I really wouldn't be that upset but all of them happening just sort of indicates poor quality control. My food was fine, not great. Prices are excellent so I don't want to complain too much about the food quality. Orders taking a long time is super understandable on a busy brunch service like this but every table around us got their order really quick. It felt bad to be the ones that were waiting while parties that were seated after us got their food. read more

What a gem! Great prices, great food, and a 50's atmosphere makes this place a must stop for anyone looking for a delicious and hearty breakfast! We split some Onion Rings which was wonderful. When the menu says thick cut, they mean thick cut. These were huge! Mom and I both got the Meat Lovers Omelette, hers with hash browns and sourdough and mine with country potatoes and wheat. I love that they ask if you want peppers and onions mixed in with the country potatoes at no extra cost. Such a nice little addition! The potatoes were warm and crisp with the peppers and onions still holding a nice crunch. Drizzle a little ketchup on those and you're golden. My omelette was fantastic. Well stuffed with bite size chunks of meat and enough melted cheese inside so every mouthful got some cheesy goodness. I also got the Blueberry Hill Pancakes because I was hungry and they sounded good. And they were one of the best pancakes I've had at a diner. Honestly. They were so light and fluffy, not dense like so many other places seem to serve. And because they were so airy, the blueberry juices and whipped cream were able to soak into the pancakes and really saturate them which was amazing! As much as I love a good omelette, and this omelette was good, the pancakes were the highlight. I would definitely recommend trying those if you stop here. My one bit of criticism though was towards the end I needed to start using some of the preserves to rub on my pancakes as there wasn't enough blueberry syrup to coat all three pieces. Thankfully they have a handful of options like blackberry, strawberry, and even apple butter. Also the prices are extremely affordable when compared to other breakfast/diner places! 1st stop on my 2018 PDX Take Out Grilled Chicken Sandwich Throw Down. Here is how the scoring went: Venue: clean, fun, retro diner decor. Decent sized parking lot. 8/10 Service: really nice and helpful staff but can be a wait for your food. 7/10 Bread/Bun: it was a decent roll, nothing special 6/10 Other Stuff: comes with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and mayo. 6/10 Chicken Taste: the chicken had very little taste or seasoning. 4/10 Chicken Tenderness: the chicken "tender" was anything but tender. The middle section was ok but the ends were dry, tough and inedible. 2/10 Value: at $8.99 the value was OK given the size of the portion. 6/10 Score: 39/70 (56%) This wasn't a very good grilled chicken sandwich. I will come back to try some other things because its a fun venue and the people are very nice. read more

I am a "senior senior...(over 80) My son and I witnessed an employee "washing" a table after the diners left. He was using a gross gray rag , quickly wiping it over the table and then immediately wiping the vinyl bench seat with it. He used no spray. When we looked over at another empty table, we could see greasy splotches n it. The use of styrofoam containers for take home leftovers is not environmentally friendly. My club sandwich, eaten before noticing the unhealthy conditions, was delicious, but didn't sit well when those conditions were realized. read more

Probably the cutest diner in Vancouver, and definitely has the best hashbrowns. I haven't tried everything in the menu, but everything I have tried has been DELIGHTFUL. Favorites include Roast dinner and eggs Benedict. The malts are wonderful. I would fight a goose in an alley for the biscuits and gravy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEEING A MOVIE BY YOURSELF THEN TREATING YOURSELF TO BREAKFAST FOR DINNER AT STARDUST. It's better self care than a bubble bath, and you get good coffee out of it. read more

American food, particular American "diner" food, is never going to win any gourmand awards, but Stardust Diner churns out hearty portions at reasonable prices. The "Silver Bullet" on 164th Street is a favorite of families with young children, particularly for their heart-clogging milkshakes. You'll have to take my (second-hand) word on these, though, because I don't have a sweet tooth, and wouldn't touch them (other than a sip) with a ten foot pole. Breakfast platters are tasty without being outstanding, the restaurant is typically very clean, and service tends to be prompt most of the time, when they aren't being overwhelmed (weekend mornings). Basically, If you're hankering for the kind of traditional American breakfast that Stardust is offering, you're gonna get what you're looking for, without any surprises. read more

Pricing: I think it was pretty good considering everything as far as prices is sky rocketing. Average prices for large amount of good quality food. I ordered the chicken Denver omelet, sausages with wheat toast and a side of 1 plain waffle with butter and syrup everything was delicious. Wait time was pretty fast and food was hot. We went back to Stardust Diner and I just want to update in what we ordered. We ordered the famous fried chicken dinner (half chicken) with baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was average and lack of flavor. The baked potato didn't to be under cooked. But the fried chicken was very tasty and crunchy. And the corned bread was excellent. My husband ordered the redneck Benedict. It was full of flavor and the portion was very good for the price. The hash brown was average and wish it was more crunchy. The pot pie was very disappointing since there was no pie crust. For me the pie crust is the best part of this dish. Instead they put a slice of pizza dough as the top and it was very difficult to break off the dough without making a mess. We also ordered the Ricky Ricardo burger on rye bread with tots. It was ok but seemed to lack the stuff expected. The tots were very tasty. The best part was the malt shake of course. This was our second visit and I think the servers were not as friendly this time. Also they have daily special and if you order the daily special you get an extra $1 off! read more
