Comfort food with Friendly service. Was crowded around the lunch hour on a weekday but we were seated quickly.

They have rats. Running out from the booths. There are flies EVERYWHERE. No one wears gloves including the kitchen staff. The entire restaurant is dirty and there is trash everywhere. Terrible service, servers do not talk to customers apart from once to take an order, and they don't follow health code. There was a piece of hair in my sister's food and if I had to guess, it came from our server (Bree) who had her very long hair down. The place is run by kids and there is never a manager present. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING Laughter and deliciousness ensued when my nephew feasted on chocolate chip pancakes and a milkshake (oops, but still yummy!). My cousin had a massive French toast (score for the price!), and I ordered the kid's size, perfect for my Ozempic diet. THANK YOU Plus, the server was a hoot! He suggested my cousin try the French toast, and she devoured it (a rarity since having kids). Her husband had pancakes eggs and bacons and my 2nd nephew ate from his plate. He loved it!! Um. The food is good, but they have a cleanliness problem so huge that I can't eat there ever again unless it gets a DEEP, deep clean. The prices are good, the staff young (but hustling) and it's always crowded. My husband had the meat lovers omelette and couldn't find fault with it. I had a mushroom burger with added grilled onions. There was so much pickle juice that my bun was a soggy, inedible mess. Been coming here for years! Our go to for breakfast!! Had family that came in from New Jersey today and took them to breakfast. They were impressed and had breakfast burritos and we had our stand by Senior pancake breakfast and French toast. The customer service is always spot on and food never disappoints. Great job guys. A few people ahead of us, but this is always a busy. The staff are amazing-- always bustling around, waiting on customers refilling coffees and drinks, taking orders, and working hard. What a nice place to relax and have a good meal. This diner is more than their delicious food. The Moment you enter you're surrounded by memories of a gentler time. A retro look and feel that is more than decor but actually being in a diner from a long time ago. The food was fantastic as usual. Everything came out hot and fresh. The menu is quite diverse from amazing breakfast with chicken fried steak and tasty biscuits and gravy. A full lunch and dinner menu provides a full day of great eating. What I like about Stardust Diner is that it's such a great experience and they have managed to keep prices affordable. Yesterday's visit, 2/25/26, to the Stardust Diner was very disappointing. My husband's sandwich was a joke. All items slapped straight in the middle, bread was not toasted enough which made the whole thing soggy. The tater tots were way over cooked and tasted old. The worst thing of all was the rude waiter!! He definitely didn't want to be there and we wished he hadn't been!! read more

Wow! We have been here for breakfast before and it was amazing but tonight we went to finally try dinner and let's just say the entire thing was phenomenal. Not only was the food great and huge portions but the service from Leonard was exceptional! He was super attentive, and just a breath of fresh air. My fiancé got the King Kong chicken fried steak dinner and it was ginormous, I got the fried chicken dinner and it exceeded my expectations in all aspects, we also had onion rings as an appetizer which were delicious. Next time we will definitely try to save some room to try their desserts. If you ever are contemplating trying this place just do it! read more

Long years ago, when I lived on the East Coast, I frequently ate at diners, made out of shiny aluminum railway dining cars. It's not as common as the movie cliché would lead you to believe, but it's still very much a thing. When the Stardust Diner opened, I was living pretty close -- close enough to walk over once every few weeks. We jokingly called it "the Silver Bullet" due to the affectation of diners from ages past. And you know... It's very good. Much more than you would expect, given the breadth of the menu. The thing that usually pulls me in on any given day is the "Redneck Benedict". Can you take a large biscuit, split it in half instead of the English muffin. On that, place, two pieces of chicken fried steak, upon which you place the poached eggs, and then cover it with savory cream gravy. Add a side of potatoes, and you're good to go. Oh. Except you probably want a piece of chocolate cream pie after. Highly recommended. read more

I had a decent experience here, however the service was a little rough. It took a while to be seated and for someone to take our order. The waitress also forgot to put in one of our items. Other than that the food was good. We had the steak and eggs and chicken and waffles. However the eggs were gross. It definitely had that diner feel. I know this restaurant is a favorite of a lot of people, so this may not be a popular review. I have had two subpar meals here within the last six months, and I am fairly certain that I will not be back again. I will start with the seating. The one time we were seated in a booth was ok, but the table was filthy with cup rings and we had to ask for it to be wiped down. The other two times we were there, we were sat in the smaller tables where you are squished in with other parties you may not be familiar with. Those seats are super uncomfortable. And the last time we were there we were asked to move to a different table so a larger party could be sat in our area. The food....the only thing I enjoyed was my pancake from one of the meals. I wanted to enjoy my side salad, however the blue cheese dressing tasted like ranch and was super runny. I got tater tots with a French dip and almost laughed at the number of tots, it seriously looked like a half order. My French dip was the regular roast beef (not prime rib) and was sparse on the meat that all I could taste was the gummy roll. My omelette was very greasy and the mushrooms were so slimy that I picked them out. Just all around a waste of time for us. Great place for pancakes tho since the restaurant up the street closed down. read more

Classic American Diner. Food just okay. Way too salty for my taste, but all the people in here seems to be enjoying their food. I got the Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce. Surprised to find the mashed potatoes were real! Not that powdered or flakes. Turkey was dry but since the gravy was so salty, it didn't help the dryness. My mother in law used to love this place. I took a seat at the counter since there weren't any available tables upon my arrival. The diner is a classic with mini juke boxes at each table. I was acknowledged immediately and was presented a menu while being asked if I would like a beverage. I asked for coffee and it was brought to me right away. I was offered cream which I accepted. The coffee was hot and fresh although the coffee mug was very small which I thought was odd for a breakfast spot. I had it refilled 3 times. I ordered the pancake breakfast with sausage patties and added 2 over easy eggs. My order arrived in about 10 minutes and was delivered hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The pancake syrup consistency was very thin, almost watery. I'm used to pancake syrup being much thicker in consistency. The syrup lacked flavor so perhaps it was watered down a bit or they just purchased a lower price/low quality pancake syrup. Overall service was friendly and attentive. I would recommend the diner but would not recommend the pancakes because of the inferior pancake syrup. read more

This is a perfect example of the modified 40s and 50s retro diner as they've been laid out across the U.S. beginning in the 70s exuding the stylized and modernistic train car effect. With steel and chrome and glass, plenty of colorful vinyl seats, mica countertops, period glassware, and the ubiquitous juke box. While recently visiting the City of Vancouver, the family (of outrageous eaters) and I recently decided to visit Stardust Diner for their extensive breakfast offers and were not disappointed in the least. This is a busy place, especially weekend mornings - but it did not hamper the courteous and attentive service we received! All around the table, after being served everyone's meals there seemed a hush not known in my family crowd, they were too busy chomping away at every morsel placed before them, devouring everything on the plate as if it were their last meal! A perfect correlation showing how good it all had been. I had the opportunity to taste some portions of the orders on the table and can justify their actions. From the chicken-fried steak and eggs and a huge variety of pancakes to a multitude of bacon, egg, hash, and potato styles as well as French Toasts. I personally decided on their Redneck Benedict - really, really good, anyone who loves Benedicts should try it (one of the most distinctive I've ever savored. The retro feel is fun idea! Although the service was a bit lacking. Slow service and took some time to get the check. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon. It was ok, nothing to write home about but it did it's job and made me full. My mom got the meatloaf and it was not good. Very dry and the gravy tasted like something instant out of a bag with a very gloopy texture. It also came with mashed potatoes and green beans. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant and the green beans tasted frozen. You could squeeze water out of them. I also noticed the floor looked really dirty and needs a good scrub. What a great greasy spoon restaurant and I say that with admiration. When I was a child my father would once a month take us out for breakfast to what we called a greasy spoon ( term for what I feel represents a fifty's truck stop diner ). Let me say very many fond memories and some of the best breakfast food I ever had. The ambiance was right on spot even some tables still had the table side juke boxes in them. Stardust has been our favorite breakfast spot since we moved here (Camas) 8 years ago. Everything -food, service,ambiance (Mid-western diner) is always outstanding. I Always have breakfast: eggs over-easy, country fries, link sausage, sourdough toast, short stack and coffee, but my wife has tried assorted dinners, from fried chicken to meatloaf to pork chops. The food we ordered was pretty good, the burger sat for too long I think to really enjoy and that was our fault. The Stardust diner seated us fairly quickly. It was a retro back to Nostalgia with Rio working small jukeboxes at the window tables. We put two dollars in there and got seven songs and before we were done, we were able to listen to five of the seven songs. It wasn't easy to hear the music because the restaurant itself was a little loud. The food was really good and the service was really good. I had to recommend coming to this place. read more

Nostalgia seekers look no further. I don't remember what Ruby's Diner tasted like but the chrome and 50's memorabilia were a dead ringer for the interior decorating. It's also a huge attractor for families on Sundays so plan accordingly if you're rushing. I think we waited for about 30 minutes for two. It was late morning almost noon but they were still honoring the breakfast specials. We ordered the steak skillet scrambled and the two egg over medium with hash browns and wheat toast. Ask for it dry if you don't want bread heavy with butter. Everything was perfectly ok. Nothing outstanding. Just purely ok on every level. The service is outstanding. They check on everyone regularly and the staff seemed very cheerful. I wish I were that cheerful all the time. Well, maybe someday. :) read more

I suggest you stick to breakfast food here. I have been disappointed by the lasagna in the past, and most recently tried their Saturday prime rib special. Even at $22, even though cooked medium, it was easily the worst I've had- dry and tough (the au jus helped some). Decent size. The best part of my plate was the baked potato.
