Great veggie skillet and a budget-friendly breakfast I stopped by Starwood Café while I was in Westlake and was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was bright, cute, and cozy, and the staff was very attentive. I ordered the veggie skillet with my eggs over well and a side of fruit. The skillet came loaded with mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, and spinach over hash browns. I don't eat the yolk, but I still prefer the way over-well eggs are prepared. The fruit bowl was also a nice addition and included pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, and grapes. At first, I thought the skillet needed a little more seasoning for my taste, but after adding some salt, it was actually really good! I also appreciated that they brought plenty of condiments to the table. The biggest surprise was the price. The veggie skillet was only $12, which I thought was a great value for the portion and amount of vegetables. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. The food was great. We have gone off and on here for a while now and haven't taken the time to review it. With that being said, I have never had a bad meal from this place. The service was very good. Great little cafe that was nearby the Aloft hotel I stayed at in Westlake on a trip to wonderful, GREATEST STATE OF THE WORLD, TEXAS. I had business across the street at Fidelity and Aloft had nothing but overpriced trash breakfast offerings. So we came here instead. Brewed Coffee was really good. I drank a good bit of it. They did not have cold brew, only iced regular coffee. Boo. Hiss. Partner had an iced Latte and seemed to enjoyed it enough to get one to go. I am not normally a breakfast eater, but the unknown meetings ahead made me get some food before we worked. I loved the mash up of the menu between classic breakfast items like omelettes, waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, you know, the normal stuff for honkeys. But.... They also have some very nice TexMex/Latino options as well. Tacos, Huevos Rancheros, Chiliquiles, Migas, and many other stars shine on this menu. I guess it makes sense to appeal to both cultures down here in the great, beautiful, bountiful, STATE OF TEXAS! Our server was really nice and the food came out quickly. We came to eat here from church. There was a big group of 15 in our party. The service was excellent and the food was great! I ordered the Denver omelette I substituted the bell pepper for spinach and my husband had the chilaquiles! They have a wonderful salsa that they serve with the chilaquiles. My son ordered an omelette and asked for a side of the salsa and they also asked me if I would like some. Well of course I did! It was one of the best salsas I've ever had. All of our food came out about the same time piping hot and yummy! Everyone in our party asked for separate checks. I couldn't believe it but the servers did not add the tip to our bill!!!! Eggs over medium, cooked correctly and the hash browns were perfectly browned. Hubs enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, which was quite good! He ordered the Hollandaise on the side which we recommend to ALWAYS do when ordering this dish. The Canadian Bacon was ever so slightly sweet. We prefer more of a smoky taste, but never give a lower rating for taste preferences. Lower ratings should be for service or quality of food, not variations in the flavors, because you have the opportunity to ask questions before ordering. His poached eggs needed to be drained a bit more, but cooked perfectly. He ordered the fruit on the side and it was all very fresh, ripe, and delicious. The service was top notch, very quick and friendly, and the coffee was excellent. The ambience was very nice and everything, including the condiments was spotless. We had a choice of several different meats, I went with the turkey sausage sadly It had no flavor. It also included two eggs which I got scrambled and they were good, and a choice of bread. For my bread I got the pancakes and they were very good. It was a very nice portion size at a very good price. We lost the Starwood Cafe that was near us in Flower Mound. This Trophy Club location seems newer and nicer than I'd remembered, which was nice. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered the standard American breakfast and choose the "pancake" instead of toast. Happy surprise when the food arrived with a stack of 3 pancakes. Three pancakes is better than one pancake every time. $13 for the order which isn't bad these days. This is definitely going to be our meeting spot for biker breakfasts in the future. read more

My husband and I came here on a Sunday for my birthday brunch. The service was great, our server was a nice young man who was doing remarkably well for how busy the place was. It was quite crowded and the atmosphere was pretty loud and boisterous. Our coffees were good. The very berry crepes were moist, topped with fresh fruit, and tasted great. I had to take of one star though, because the eggs benedict wasn't very good. The hollandaise sauce tasted generic, and the poached eggs were overcooked and not runny. We've eaten here many times. Typically little to no wait for a table for breakfast. Most recently, I met friends for breakfast right when they opened, and they were ready to go with good, hot coffee served in those terrific, heavy diner mugs! Service was terrific! Prompt and attentive without being intrusive. And when one of my friends got a little cute, she was happy to dish it right back, making our encounter with her fun. Now for the food! When it comes to pancakes, I'm a buttermilk pancake person. But I tried the pumpkin pancakes, and they were good - worth the try! Eggs, bacon, hash browns, all came out perfectly and to order! I've previously had their Iron man egg white omelette, which is also very good. So why the 4 stars? Well, like I said, I've been here many times. My experiences with service have all been favorable. But I think the kitchen sometimes gets a little overwhelmed when this place is busy. It's been those times when my food hasn't been 100% right on the mark.
