I just had lunch here. I ordered a simple single steak burger with everything except pickles and French fries. When my order was delivered, the burger and fries were cold! Took one bite went to pay. When the cashier asked if everything was good I answered "NO". Why she asked and I told her my meal was too cold to eat. She said she was sorry and took my money and said "have a great rest of the day!" No offer of adjustment at all. read more

Long wait to be seated, the hostess took our name and number of our party then another waitress came up and let a group get seated immediately while we stood there waiting our turn. They didn't bring my son's milkshake until we were nearly done eating and they didn't get my wife's burger right. Also we were never brought any napkins or silverware. Was ok. Got a mushroom burger and a bacon burger to go, and both were basic but tasty. Had an issue where I sat in line for awhile waiting for my total, and finally drove to the window and waited till she came and asked for the money. I assume they were just very busy because it was almost like they just handed me food and closed the window and off I went. We stopped here on our was home from vacation before heading to our hotel. BIG MISTAKE! Our waitress was nice but the restaurant was a hot mess dirty tables everywhere . I was hoping it was because we just missed a rush but I was wrong it remained a mess for most our visit. We ordered shakes one came out the after sometime my kids came out. Our food took forever when it came out it looked like it had been sitting and was soggy/gross. While sitting at our table a drug addict came in headed right for the bathroom and spent quite sometime in there so I told my kids they would not be going in there. He came out and let's just say gave my kids a reality check of what happens when you use drugs.... I waited several minutes at the counter waiting to pay most of the workers looked at me but nobody offered to help I had to ask the kitchen made me sick to my stomach. Word to the wise if the customers can see the area their food is prepared in keep it clean. The health department should consider visiting this location. We didn't receive all the food that came with our meal but after what we received and seeing that kitchen I'm ok. We never eat at chain and always look at reviews. Shame on us for winging it! This is the worst they can shake a paw. If you go and it is extremely slow and hard to get service. If you go through the drive-through you will be in line about 10 times longer than the average drive-through. I am currently sitting in line at the drive-through with people ahead of me waiting for their food and people behind me waiting for their food and so many people waiting for food that it is wrapped around and people can't even place their orders. I have been waiting so long that the air conditioner on my car is no longer cooling as well. They just brought my order and it is wrong. She said she would go back in and fix it but at this point I don't care. I hope management questions for Reeves please save that responses and makes a change because their food is good. read more

Not sure what it is about steak and shake and the wait time. It's the same in Franklin and mount Juliet TN, to Mishawaka Indiana. You will sit in the drive thru, so bring a book. It's been at all 3 locations where after 15 minutes, with only 1 car in front of me that I just he to leave. I went to Tzakikis next door and I ordered had my food and am still watching the car that was in front of me sit at the window. read more

This place is understaffed to say the least. We came in and sat down and ordered our drinks and food 45 minutes ago and we are still waiting on our drinks as I type this. Unacceptable. I love steak and shake. I'm so sad bc this location is BY FAR the worst one I've EVER been to. It's so close to where I live and was so excited to have one near me. But I just can't bring myself to go here anymore. The food is good IF they happen to get the order right. But the "service." What service?! These folks are SO RUDE! And I've given this store lots of tries. I've been in the service industry for 14yrs and 10 of those were with restaurants. My order was sooooo messed up. Always get a receipt when you pay for your order which isn't provided for a to go order. I order my burger with everything on it, I didn't check it before leaving. Came in for a to-go order. They gave it to someone else by mistake. We waited 45 minutes to get our food.

I walked inside and went straight to the bathroom to use it. After exiting the bathroom I sat down without realizing I was supposed to be sat by an employee. I was only the third guest in the restaurant and didn't think it mattered. Anyways, I was refused service and told to leave by Kristy (if that's even her name. She wasn't wearing her name tag). She said I was loitering and made it unsafe when all I was doing was waiting to be given a menu and she had such a nasty attitude with me. Poor girl. I would hate to have such a self conscious life perspective that a customer waiting for a menu made me feel unsafe. Grace, another server, also ignored me the whole time before Kristy opened her rude mouth to me. Grace walked by multiple times and saw me but refused to acknowledge my existence. Literally the most pathetic employees I've ever encountered in my life. Honestly, they seem like pathetic people in general. A nasty dirty place when I was there, Staff was not helpful had to ask for service waited too long for nasty greasy food. Floors restrooms and general appearance were dirty including staff uniforms.I will not ever go here again. read more

This Steak n' Shake is terrible. The service took a good 30 minutes to respond to our order. There was a family that came 10 minutes before us. They have gotten 3 salads and 2 steakburgers with fries and drinks. Me and my dad have gotten 2 burgers. They got their food 20 minutes before us. read more

All I can say positive about this place is that the food was ok. We were there for almost an hour before we got our food. It took them at least 20 or more minutes to bring one shake out and we were there 15 mins before we even got our drink order taken. Where do you start with the Mt Juliet Steak & Shake? They set the fast food standard for poor service. Please get in line well before you are hungry, because your not gonna sniff food for a while. You will be treated as if there was a wish that you had never been born! You think that this kind of attitude should be reported, so you speak to both the Manager and Asst Manager and quickly realize that as in most cases, the "go to hell" attitude comes from the top. I would like to say something about the food, but after being seated (and it was a long wait), nobody ever took so much as a drink order. After about 25 minutes my party of four left. I counted 14 empty tables in the restaurant and 12 other people leaving due to not getting service. The problem is this is the second time we never had our orders taken. So we went a year ago (July 2014) and had terrible service. We pointed it out to management how nasty the facility was and alerted them to the poor service of their staff staff. We went again tonight (August 2015) and while our direct server was decent the faculty was disgusting. There were multiple dirty tables in the front of restaurant that no one was attempting to clear. They tried to sit is near the bathroom in an odd-shaped booth when there were others available. They didn't provide silverware when we sat down, they had to wipe down the table, gave us straws with wet wrappers, no ketchup on the table and one order came out wrong. The kitchen was disgusting (photos attached). We waited at the check out station while servers walked by; we finally asked the cook to call someone up. We again alerted management and they seemed to care less and offered no apology! read more

Horrible service. 1 waitress for the entire restaurant (9 tables) when we were there. Tuesday afternoon 230-3pm. It took 20 min to get drinks after we ordered them. 30 min for our shakes and 40+ minutes for our food. 1 busser that didn't service but 2 tables. Very disappointed. First time i was here. asked for no ice - large pop is ALL ice max 7 drinks of pop before it was gone. This is the worst hamburger joint I have ever eaten in. I was placed near the bathroom and ask to be moved . The snow was melting outside so the floors were wet and muddy. The server dropped my straw on the floor and gave it to me. I received my order cold and dry. Don't eat here. read more

If you use the drive-thru at this location make sure you check your order before leaving the property, because they almost never get the order right. I am not exaggerating when I say they get the order wrong 90% of the time. If you don't want cheese on your hamburger you will have to go inside and order. I am convinced they intentionally ignore no-cheese requests in the drive-thru even though it is on the receipt. read more

While this location seems to be much better than the one in Murfreesboro, my last visit they were severely understaffed. The "manager" was serving all the tables with the help of the drive-thru server. While they were friendly, it was obvious they were overwhelmed. I will say our food came out faster and a lot better than most Steak N Shakes I've been to. Only downside besides them being short staff was the fact we ordered a shake and never received it, although the table behind us ordered and received shakes at the same time as when we came in, however the manager was quick to remove it from our bill. I would return when in the Providence area in hopes that the food stays better than other locations. read more

We went there for lunch craving burgers and after we ordered shakes & our burgers at the same time,(25mins ago) we had to grab a random server(cause ours was nowhere to be found after she took our order) and ask about our shakes. She very condescendingly said, "honey, we ordered 30 milkshakes at the same time so they'll be ready when they're ready". There was not even 30 people in the place. We told her to just cancel them & apparently she told our server who yelled to us across 3 booths asking if we're cancelling the whole order. I wasn't planning on it but since she put it in my head we decided we would just go somewhere else & get better service in under 30mins, so I told her to go ahead & cancel everything. I work in a restaurant and have never seen such a lack of a sense of urgency by a staff. My opinion, corporate should hire & train an entire new staff & maybe then they will be able to keep & grow their business. read more

I read the reviews which mostly complained about timeliness of service. My experience was fantastic! No wait, food was delicious! Kids had a great experience and our sever was fantastic! ( blake). We were the only person in line at there drive thru we waited over 15 mins just for her to wait on us she never said anything to us until we said hello an once at the window we had to scrounge for correct change cause she didn't have any to break out $10.00 bill! I'm outraged!! I come to this location twice a week to get the same shake only cause I'm out here seeing my dr an we don't have one in LaVergne!! There's been lots of problems here lately over the last 3 weeks I've noticed an today was the last draw!! I'm done!! It took them over 20 mins to make 2 shake for me an they were just simple shakes once I received them, they weren't even have full!! She said there's nothing I can do about that an when I asked to speak to a manager she told me that there was nobody here today I could speak too an refused to tell me who the manager was! And to boot 15 mins down the road started to drink my shake which was suppose to be chocolate covered strawberry with extra hot fudge, is banana with hot fudge with I'm allergic to bananas!! This quite possibly has to be the worst run Stake n' Shake I have ever been to. It was as if all the staff (all 2 waiters and 3 cooks) were on ambien. They moved like slugs and when there was a line forming out the doors they just stared at you and hoped that by ignoring you, that you would give up and go dine else where. I wish I would have. After waiting for 15 minutes to sit down. The one waitress told me that it would be another 10-15 minute wait so that they could clean off tables. Those tables mind you had been vacant and disgusting for the entire time I was there. The food was cold and our server seemed like she just wanted us out of there. I put down a 2 dollar tip which was not deserved or earned by the "server." Before we even got up she was right there to scarf up the money. Then we waited in line again to pay. The man ringing us up had no idea what he was doing and needed the ambien induced zombie waitresses to assist him multiple times. Which as you can imagine took quite a while.
