4 AM and hunger struck. I wanted a 7x7 Steakburger, and this is the nearest location. I've had this same thing 3 times here in the last 10 months, so I figured it wouldn't be an issue. I drove up to the drive through and asked for the 7x7. The person on the other side of the speaker stuttered between saying that they don't do the late night menu and don't do the 7x7. WHAT‽ I was too tired for a comeback. I was on my way home and tried calling the store phone number, no answer. When I arrived back home I went online, and clicked the "order online" button. One of the employees had his child running around the restaurant and he seemed more interested in tending to him than doing his job. Every time I go to steak and shake it seems I wait 15 min for a table even though they're all open and clean. I went in with a group of 10 around midnight so I was expecting slow service considering we were a large party and there were few servers on but when it took 15 min to seat us and then the server immediately wanted us to order after we sat, I was annoyed. Jada was extremely rude as she was rushing us for our orders when we sat down five seconds prior. Then a table of 25 came in and was sat immediately without a wait. I went today through the drive thru window at 230. The young woman working the window was so patient with me as I struggled through ordering new items for me. Noone was in line behind me so i was experimenting. She recommended a chili mac supreme which wasn't on the outside menu and I took 2. And more! Online advertises a pretty extensive gluten free list including cooking oils but beware nothing on the menu is safe for those with celiac disease. The service was absolutely horrible. The food was crappy as well. My mother ordered a burger and it was barely cooked. We didn't have time to wait for another and so we just decided to go without it. It was taken back and shown to one of the managers and he said it wouldn't be charged to us. I am so livid by the horrible service recieved by the workers and manager at this location. We arrived around 6:24PM, I know because I looked at my phone after standing there a few minutes waiting to be seated. Finally Jayson came to seat us. We sat having conversation for about 15-20 minutes. No one approached our table to take our order. After looking around at the peopke who were sat after us, some having there orders taken, others eating already, I began to get upset. My children's Godfather suggested we leave. On our way out, we decided to get my daughter and him a shake at the register. After loudly asking for someone to come take our order, a lovely looking young lady took our order for the shakes. I explained to her that we were seated, but no one came to serve us, so we wanted the shakes quickly to go. Now, some people just don't care about custimer service and it was made clearly evident that this place and it's employees did not. After getting a crazy look from the lady, I asked to speak to the manager. I could see hom working the grill and I know he heard me, but he ignored my request and us. I went to my car to calm xown and keft my family there to wait for their shakes. It was 6:54PM at that time. My chikdren's Godfather came out to the car after a few minutes, leaving my daughter there to wait on the shakes. At 7:11PM we went back in to see what was taking so long for the shakes. I was irate that she was still waiting without anyone approaching to give status on the shakes. I demanded loudly to speak to the manager without excepting his attempts at ignoring me this time. My children's Godfather expressed how ridiculous it was that we have waited so long and asked for our money back so we could leave. This took an additional 5-7 minutes because the lady that took our shake order never gave us a receipt. All this time, not once did the manager apologize forbthe horrific service. Today, we waited for over an hour for our meals to be delivered (which, incidentally, never arrived). During our wait, three tables who arrived after us got their food served before ours. One table was there for about 20 minutes when their food arrived. We kept asking our server as to when we would be served. She insisted that it would be coming soon. Our drinks were completely empty before the server returned to fill them, and then she only filled two at a time. I also observed that many of the tables remained uncleared for quite some time before a server returned to clear them. Several other patrons were still awaiting their meals for extended periods while we waited. The overall appearance of the restaurant was less than satisfactory, with noticeable fingerprints and swirl marks over all the tables, surfaces and equipment. Exasperated, we walked out of the restauarant and no one even bothered to notice that we were leaving. At no time did a manager address us, as our server told us that he was supposedly working to get our meal out. Not one member of the staff come out to ensure that we were having a pleasant experience. This marks the second time that we have visited this establishment and come away feeling less than satisfied. During a previous visit around Thanksgiving,, we were served late also. In that case, the people at the table next to us told one of the servers that we did not get our food. We were there over an hour. We found out that our server took over the cashier position and had forgotten about us.There appears to be no accountability at this establishment and myself and my family will no longer frequent this particular restaurant. I know that this is not the type of behavior that Steak and Shake encourages, as I have visited your restaurants in other parts of the country and have received excellent service. Went in for a quick meal and was sit promptly. Once the waiter returned he appeared irrated and didn't ask how we were or even what we'd like. He just stood there, so we asked if he was OK? He said" I 'd be OK if I was home . . . and I mean out of state home. I can't stand Florida". I guess that was our "HELLO".
