I'm not one to easily give 5 stars, but what it's worth, these guys earned it!!! Over the years I had been using another popular cleaning company, I won't mention the name, but it's the same name when spelled backwards, they did a pretty good job, but told me I needed to think about new carpet because of a really bad stain that they couldn't completely remove. I decided to try Steam Pro, and Joe I. and his partner Shon, came in with some pretty high tech looking buffer machine and word my carpet over, giving it an almost new looking appearance!!! These guys deserve to have "Pro" in their name, Joe and Shon were true professionals, awesome at what they do, and extremely hard working, and the price was even more competitive. We called after business hours Monday night, left a message asking for a call back, received one about 10 minutes later and somehow they fit us in their schedule the next morning. Unfortunately the company we called initially to clean our carpet was unable to make the appt (through no fault of his own). We had already moved all of our heavy furniture out and didn't want to wait several days to re-schedule or take more time away from our jobs. Much to our surprise Steam-Pro was able to get someone out the same day! Shawn was on time, friendly and did a great job. The carpet looks great and smells clean. Initially when I contacted Steam Pro, I was satisfied with the response and the scheduled time. On the morning of the appt., I called to confirm the time which was between noon and 2P., I also inquired about having my tile shower cleaned and was assured there would be no problem. I spent the morning moving furniture, lamps, etc. and vacuuming. My husband is ill, on dialysis, and unable to help me. . I called at 2:50p, and was told there was a problem with the truck, but someone would arrive by 5P. When I questioned the late appt. I was assured (again) that the work could be completed. I had already hired someone to come the following afternoon to help me move the furniture back, so re-scheduling for another day was not an option, and I was stuck, and agreed to the late appt. It was apparent by 8P that no one was going to show up, and I received no phone call, I then called the office and left a message expressing my disappointment. Steam Pro put me in a real bind. I will not recommend this company to anyone, and I will not hesitate to tell my friends about this experience. I was skeptical of my carpet and thought it would need to be replaced due to stains and dark areas left from old homeowners but thought I would try cleaning first and see how it looks. I researched several companies and checked yelp for reviews. The owner said someone would be at my house between 8-10 and he was here to clean at 810 and gone in an hour. The prices were very affordable and the quality was excellent. All of the stains are gone!!! Jason who cleaned the carpet even told me how to keep them looking great like wearing socks instead of going barefoot all the time like I usually do. I was not home when my carpets were cleaned. I was in the process of moving out and my house was vacant, except for my ski box, bed, gear shelf and bikes in the basement. I came home to find my ski box and two bikes that I had locked together on top of my bed. My sheets were covered in dirt and bike grease. I had to take my bike to the shop because the disc brake was damaged. The plastic gear shelf was not moved to clean under and around that area. I wish I had a more positive review to write- the carpet that was cleaned looked great, but I didn't receive much more than an apology when I mentioned my bikes and bed. read more

After reading the reviews online, I gave steam pro a call and scheduled an appointment for an estimate for both having my carpets and stretched. I made the appointment for a Wednesday between 2-4. I left work early and waited. At 445 I called and spoke with customer service. They were very apologetic and offered to set up another appointment for Saturday 2-4. I waited until 430 to call customer service regarding another no call no show. I told customer service to cancel the appointment if they were still on their way. Even though they offered a discount, I value my time more than my money. Regardless if they do a good job cleaning, they clearly are not concerned about your time and its certainly not where I want my business to go. read more

Needed to get our floors presentable for holiday guests. We were going to call Coit, but saw that the reviews were not that good. So glad we called Steam Pro instead! We requested an appointment within 2 days, and had our choice of any time we wanted. Lucky for us, Joe I. was sent. He showed up right on time, explained everything clearly, and worked tirelessly .I wasn't sure what to expect (since we haven't professionally steam cleaned the grout before) I thought it might take more than one going over, to get it clean. But Wow! to my surprise, Joe was able to get our tile and bedroom carpets, looking just gorgeous again ! We could not be happier! And at a very reasonable price too! The Tech did an amazing job with cleaning our carpets. He arrived 30 minutes early than the time given, which was great for us. He walked through the apartment looking at the rooms, gave me the exact price and got started within 5 minutes. Service is prompt, representative is courteous, quality is not as I expected after reading though the reviews though. I was in and out when the technician was doing his job, so I wasn't able to supervise him well. That can be my fault, but I expect the technician to do a great job even without my supervision. After the carpet was cleaned and dried, I walked with my bare feet and my feet got very dirty after 30 minutes walking, providing that I didn't go outside. The carpet down in the basement still had some areas that are darker than the other ones. I called the company to mention about the service and they claimed that they cleaned my carpet, not vacuum. They gently asked me to vacuum the carpet, which I did, but it doesn't help much. They offered to come again to re-clean the carpet, but I don't want to go through the hassle of having wet carpet and waiting several hours for it to dry, especially when I have kids at home. The technician did the air duct cleaning for me and told me there are 12 vents in my house. I have no idea of how many vents my house has because we just bought this house. My husband counted them after the technician had done his job and left, found out there were only 10 air ducts. Well, the technician was able to finish the air duct cleaning and carpet cleaning in 1 hour, which seems to be quick. However, I doubt the job he did in that short period of time. I didn't sign in the satisfaction signature spot, because I was unsure about the quality of his work. Now I know that it's not that good. I got really upset because I trust this business based on good reviews on yelp. I have found several other good businesses I can trust on Yelp, but not this one. I'm an accountant, and I understand how important it is to gain trust from customers. This business fails to gain trust from me. However, they still got 2 stars from me because they're always available to take phone call and the technician was on time. UPDATE 09/03/2015 The owner of Steam Pro actually contacted me after seeing this review after a couple of months I wrote this. He asked me about my experience and apologized for the bad experience I had. I actually picked up the phone call when I was still sleeping. I was not in a mood to answer phone or talk, but I patiently explained to him why I gave Steam Pro a low rate because I appreciated him getting back to me. The owner really cares about his company's reputation and he said that he would try to do anything to ensure his customers are happy. He asked me to give Steam Pro another chance and offered me the restoration package because I had kids and hated to have my kids around wet carpets. He promised that the carpet would take 2-3 hours to dry completely. I agreed to let them clean my carpet another time. This time, the technician was very on time. His name is Louis. He gently explained the process to me and asked about the concerns I had for him. He helped me to move some light furniture. He completed his work after two hours. This technician seemed to care more about his work as he asked to make sure that I was happy with the carpet. He walked me through what he has done and provided me with how to take care of the carpet. The carpets feel much softer and better after this cleaning. The carpets down in the basement look brighter and smell better. The owner called me the next day to ensure I was happy with the carpets. He did not ask me to change the review though. However, I think they deserve a better rating now. I still recommend Steam Pro to train their technicians and receptionists better so that the issue is well taken care of at the first place. I hope that the next time I use Steam Pro, I don't have to go through what I did. I'm glad that the owner really cares about his company though. read more

steam pro did an adequate job of cleaning the carpets, stayed at my house a sufficient amount of time and charged a reasonable price. I selected steampro because they had the best reviews of the various companies I had coupons for. On our scheduled day the tech called and wanted to come 2 hours early. Then when I called back to say that would be okay they said no they were going to come at the originally scheduled time. Then when they arrived they threatened to leave because there was nowhere to park when all I had to do was move two recycle bins. After their departure I realized there was one several inch long gouge in the woodwork along with a handful of other chipped paint areas. While I am not dissatisfied with how the carpets were cleaned I do not think I would use this company again. read more

SteamPro came out to clean my carpets and recommended that I upgrade to their deep cleaning machine. The crew member completely oversaturated my carpets and would lean the machine on its side to squirt tons of water on my baseboards. The carpets were wet for over 5 days. A musty, moldy smell began to eminate from the carpets. I had a mold expert come out and do a mold test on my carpets and it came back positive for toxic mold. I had to have a mold remediation team come out to tear out all the carpet and tac strips and use hig-grade mold cleaner to sanitize my entire basement. Both experts stated that it was from the carpet cleaning. I also had a plumber out stating that I have never had any plumbing leaks or my own flooding. SteamPro has denied all liability and I now have to take them to court for the over $6,000 I am out due to the neglectful way that they cleaned my carpets. This has been devastating and Steve, the owner, has treated me very disrespectfully. read more

Hired Steam Pro to clean ducts and carpet. Tech showed up and was totally negative about the whole job. Didn't do furnace ducts, only air vents which they put a vacuum hose down. Don't use truck-mounted equipment. "Don't tell my company I said so, but a real duct cleaning company would do a much better job." Told me he didn't think pet stains would come out of the carpet, that his company didn't provide anything to take care of those. I was very disappointed with the customer service from Steam Pro and honestly can't remember a service company ever treating me in such an unapologetic and unhelpful manner as they did.. EVER! I had initially called a different company to clean the carpets in an upper level condo who suggested I call SteamPro because they have "portable cleaning units". So about a month in advance I scheduled a specific date that was imperative due to tenants moving in/out and asked for their portable unit and explained it was a 4th floor condo and a truck mounted probably wouldn't reach. No problem, got the quote for the extra $25 to use the portable vs truck mounted (as the hose would not reach from the van up that high) and then again confirmed the appointment 4 days in advance. The morning of the appointment the tech showed up with just van mounted equipment and determined he could not clean the carpets. I asked what happened to the portable I had requested and he said he had too many tools to fit it on his truck. After speaking with the office they had a different story and told me the only tech trained on portable was unavailable and it would be impossible to complete the job today. They wanted to reschedule the cleaning for later in the week which would have proven impossible for me due to a move in/ move out schedule we had to hold to. Instead of owning up to the mistake and inconvenience they shifted the blame to me and said they had never guaranteed they'd be able to do the job and that "I was told a 4th floor condo would be problematic".. I was never told that "maybe" the carpets could get cleaned. The whole point of scheduling that far out was to keep to a schedule. I ultimately ended up calling Red Carpet Cleaning Services who saved the day and came out within the hour and surprisingly enough they figured out a way to clean the carpets with a truck mounted system. (maybe they had a longer hose?) So, if you want to be assured that your carpets will be cleaned and that the office staff won't be condescending and rude and ultimately stress you out DON'T use SteamPro... give Red Carpet Cleaning a call. read more

After many years of using another highly advertised carpet cleaning company, I decided to use Steam Pro...and...what a mistake! After the carpet dried I had "orange" spots on the carpet. I contacted them immediately and was told that this was common and that it was a PH imbalance. They scheduled another visit and, unfortunately, the spots did not come out. After asking them about it, they changed their story and said it was something already on the carpet that the steam brought out (no even close since this carpet had been cleaned numerous times before). March 12, 2015; I am so excited with the results of the carpet and air duct cleaning performed at my home as well as my experience with the work performed by a "Top Notch" Steam Pro representative, Joe Cordova, that I wanted to share with all that may be researching a company to clean their carpets. Having just returned from a two year stint in CA, I had boxes or some type of upheaval in every room of my house all of which should have been in its proper place before he arrived, but...... the situation warranted cleaning first. Joe was patient, positive, and moved through the house as if he was presented with this type of situation every day. My request, please clean my carpets and remove the stains and urine smell left behind by my renter's dog(s), repair and clean a very large wool area rug along with clean all air ducts and furnace. After walking the house, explaining status of each room (making excuses for the boxes), defining cleaning requirements and locating all air ducts, Joe took to the task of cleaning, sanitizing, and treating all carpets. Joe moved to repairing my very expensive area rug that I thought was a loss after the rug experienced the fate of a pet with separation anxiety. He cleaned and removed the urine smell left by the same renter's dog. He also provided hints as to what to do for future urine accidents (I hope none) as well as other mishaps on the carpet. I really appreciated the information as it will help me extend the life of the carpets. It doesn't stop here! Joe had the pleasure (sic) of cleaning the air ducts and furnace, which had never been cleaned after the purchase as a new home 7 years ago. If you haven't cleaned your air ducts, may I suggest you do! You will immediately feel and see a difference in how your furnace operates. Joe took the time to educate me on proper care of my furnace in a more efficient, effective manner. I learned more from him then I have from the big name heating company that I pay to service my furnace each year! My carpets look great as well as smell fabulous, my area rug saved, and my furnace no longer runs every few minutes. Oh my word, what a fabulous job!!! I want to share with everyone, especially Steam Pro, how professional Joe is in representing the company as well as ensuring that he balances the needs of the customer.
