If you like crowds and noise this is the place for you. Geared towards a younger crowd and didn't think the food was great.

I made my first visit to Steam the other night for a weeknight birthday dinner. I had heard good things from a few friends who had been there. The waitress was really great! She greeted us with a friendly smile and quickly informed us that she should get our drink and appetizer order in quick so we could take advantage of happy hour pricing. I consider that very good service, take care of your customers especially first timers who did not know about the special. Later when I was ordering a second beer she asked if I had ever had it before and when I said no she said let me get you a sample first to see if you like it. Again taking care of her customers. I had the woss burger with egg on top with fries. Very good. Son had grilled cheese with fries he really enjoyed that. I also had buffalo mini sandwiches and mozzarella sticks which were both very good for appetizers. In summary Steam will definitely go into my rotation for dinner spots and scores high marks for good and imaginative food menu, great selection of craft brews and cocktail menu. So my advice skip the chain restaurant and give this place a try, I think you will find something you will like. appetizers are $5 cheap,cheap. read more

Stopped by for a bite to eat and a beer. The food was fine, I had a burger, she had a chicken salad wrap with nachos. The food was good, didn't enjoy the fries that much. What really scratch our heads was the draft beer that was highly carbonated? The beer was so carbonated that it almost was on the level of soda. We didn't drink it after the first sip then we watched the beer bubble for the next 45 minutes while we ate. What was even more odd was that we were told the manager said that it is normal and fine to drink. I cannot say I have ever seen a beer do that for the amount of time it sat I front of us. It was almost comical that it seem to continue to have an never ending supply of bubbles and a head that wouldn't die. Word of advice, order water :) read more

If you guys ever take the Steak Frites off the menu, I will simply pass away. I found a new favorite restaurant tonight. Service, ambiance, everything!! Only reason I had 4 stars in the past was the service. Updating to 5 as every time since has been great! ***Prev Review*** We were very surprised by how good the food is here. For an appetizer we ordered the Asian Glazed Calamari, which was excellent! Little slices of jalapeños added the perfect spice for me, but weren't so overpowering that my wife couldn't appreciate it as well. For an entree my wife had the scallops salad and I had the Shepherds pie. There was a "fishy" smell coming from the table next to us (which had also ordered a scallop salad) so we weren't expecting much. To our surprise the scallops were excellent! Shepherd pie was good too, but nothing I would specifically return to order. For dessert, we ordered the Creme Brûlée which had to be one of the best we've tried. Almost like a Banana pudding with chocolate chips and a layer of melted sugar on top. Mmmm!! Only reason this review is getting 4 stars is the service. While our waitress was attentive and checked in on us often, her demeanor just gave us the feeling she wasn't happy to be there or wasn't happy to serve us. I usually love steam. However, a bouncer was immensely rude to a friend of mine and insulted him. I've never seen this bouncer before so it was a shock. There was no reason to be rude to the extent he was, there is a better way to speak to people, yet alone customers. read more

I just had a late lunch early dinner at Steam Pub. I wanted to share with others my very satisfying experience. If you are looking for a very tasty Cinco De Mayo meal I would highly recommend the following meal which I ordered and consumed at Steam. I started with their regular Margarita which was excellent. I ordered one of their specials , the Shrimp Tacos which I think are comparable to one of my favorite chefs, Bobby Flay. They were delicious! I ended with fried cheese cake for dessert which was absolutely scrumptious. I never thought I would like it but I was very happy I tried it! I would order that dessert every night it was so good. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the thoughtful and professional service I received from one of their servers whose name was Devin. Today when dining out it is a real treat when you are served by an individual who honors his or her profession by caring that your dining experience is equal to your expectations!! Nice, cute little bar, with the exception it smells like piss and vomit, huge turnoff. I went to have a smoke, and me and my bud's drinks were placed right next to each other when we returned, which I found unacceptable in the middle of this pandemic due to the confusion of whose is whose. Staff was friendly. Hostess sat us early for a 6:30p reservation and even moved us to a mother table when we didn't like the table we had. That new table was wobbly, just like the my chair. Hostess removed that chair and gave me another. Table was still wobbly. Beer was cold and delicious. And truthfully, that's one of the main reasons we came here. But we wanted a bite to eat as well. So, we ordered chicken cheese steaks and fries. Fries were good. Chicken cheesesteak. Not so much. Over seasoned clumpy chicken on an undercooked roll (at least it looked that way) is not really the way I want it served. I will admit, it was definitely hot. Which is easily appreciated. The burnt tongue, not so much. One of the things we really liked were the Irish Nachos. They were definitely tasty. That said, the manager did come over to us after we explain to the waitress we weren't happy with the chicken cheesesteak and took it off our bill. That was very nice of her and much appreciated. Shows that the people their care about a customers experience, which is never a bad thing. Although not sure if we'll go back. Jury is still out on that one. Update: The owner reached out to offer an apologize for our experience and invited us back. We'll definitely take him up on the invite. We just finished a late lunch at the Steam Pub. The service, atmosphere and (most importantly) the food was good. Because it was a sunny day, we decided to dine on the patio. There are lights which I'm sure look great at night, and there are umbrellas to provide some shade. This restaurant is close to the road but the taller plants/shrubs offer some privacy and there was minimal road noise. There is an extensive beverage list and the food menu has a little of everything. This space seems nice for small events as well because there was a bridal shower being hosted while we were there. For food we started with the Asian calamari and the Cheese Steak Spring Rolls. The calamari was fresh and crisp with a sweet general tso flavored sauce on top along with fried onions and jalapeños for some spice. The spring rolls were also crispy and cheesy and had a tangy dipping sauce that kicked it up a notch. The burgers came highly recommended so we ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Burger and the Philly Philly Burger. Big props for the burger to be cooked as ordered because a lot of restaurants ask how you like it but give you whatever they feel like. The fries were hand cut and perfectly salted. The food is different and authentic. They have a lot of different specials and happy hour. The service is the normal service at a bar. Sometimes a long wait, sometimes very quick that you wonder if the food was just microwaved. Ambiance there is an actual vibe. They have live music often. read more

I got the tuna ceasar, which I STILL content is misnamed because the only ceasary thing about it is the romaine. Grilled Romain, a great sesame dressing on the creamy-ish side, perfectly grilled rare ahi tuna, flash fried wonton strips and cashews - it's a super delish salad, and huge - two heads of romaine well-grilled and a nice estimated 4 oz of tuna! I also got the Bloody Mary flight. Any four Bloody Mary flavors (they have five or six or choose from) in 4 oz glasses with the salted accompanying rims. The Lime was my favorite! My husband got the goat cheese and omelette (the bucks). Creamy and tangy goat cheese, sliced sausage, well made omelette on the medium side regarding size (standard 3 egg). Served with their tots which always great. SERVICE Here's where we lose some 'steam' (see what i did there?). When our server finally came over (13 min after we were seated), he was kind of abrupt, which I get since brunch was slammed. I ordered the flight and a Diet Coke, and my husband said "what kind of cold brew coffee do you have?" And the server said, "coffee?" And vanished. We finally got my flight (13 min) and a water (which no one ordered but may have just come with the alcohol) and my husband got a black coffee. He needed the caffeine so said it was ok, since who knew how long it'd be for a replacement? Away the server went. 10 minutes later he took our order. I re-ordered my Diet Coke. Our food came out in about 10-15 minutes (with my Diet Coke! Yay!), which is way reasonable for a busy brunch. Mind you no one ever cleared my flight, so we kind of shoved that to the side, and another server brought our food, who did check in with us (we were ok at that point). At no point after taking our order did we see our server again; my Diet Coke and water sat empty, and my husband only wound up with that one cup of coffee since once empty our server didn't re-appear to offer more. He finally showed up,who saw my gift card and grabbed it without showing us the bill (I'm ok with this but some might not be). In general, the food was 5 stars, the service 2, so I think three stars is where we're at. Would definitely go back, we'd just hope for better service. read more

I have been going to Steam Pub for quite a few years and it is one of my favorite places to go. The food is outstanding! Everything from appetizers and sandwiches /burgers to the entrees. In addition to the regular menu they have really nice weekly specials.. The drinks are incredible. My favorites are always the seasonal martinis that they have. They also have a nice selection of beers on tap. Friendly atmosphere- All of the severs , bartenders & mangers to the owners have always made me feel welcome . read more

Me and my hubby were celebrating our 5 yr wedding anniversary and I wanted to try this place. I don't know who made this steak dinner @ Steam pub but I forgot to kiss then before I left. This was so delicious flavors were amazing on the whole entire plate. The inside was a bit to dark for my liking to sit inside and eat but the porch was poppin!. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Came here for happy hour during the week with two girlfriends after work. We sat at a high top and were immediately welcomed by our friendly waitress Bridget. We ordered the tacos, sliders, hummus and vegetable platter and the ahi tuna. We were shocked to see the size of the portions. I live within walking distance of this place but we've only been a few times. However each time has been a positive experience. We prefer to eat on the patio which is nice and relaxing. I had heard from a few friends that this place was pretty awesome and I have to tell you we loved everything about it. Great everything. Nice vibe, loud but not at all overwhelming, nice crowd, friendly staff that really seem to like their jobs (really they really seem to). The drinks were perfect and the food was the best part. Garlic wings with a great flavor and a little kick and after kick. Great NE clam chowder and really good crab soup. Perfect salad with seared tuna and a perfect cheesesteak.
