The service was weird. We asked for a whole pizza ($28), which was just made and sitting on display, and she said we had to wait another 15 minutes for a new pizza or pay the per-slice price, which would make it much more expensive at $6.50 per slice (around $39). So we waited. The pizza tasted all right. It's meant to sooth any late-night post-drinks muchies but given the lack of ambiance and frills, it's just an okay spot to get food. If I did a little more research, I would consider Pi Pizza or Oath Pizza, so read those reviews and make your decision! Make sure you get a receipt like the other reviewers said! Cashier was a bit shady about that. There's no seating inside, no AC, and it's hot as you know what! They do have shakers with cheese and red pepper flakes and garlic. read more

The pizza itself was great, but not worth the price. As a visitor, I check things out where I'm going to see where I may want to go and this was one of the places I checked out beforehand. And while, I realize websties can sometimes be outdated, there's is sersiously outdated. On their website their '2 slice special' is only supposed to be $8.75, but in reality its $12. That's a pretty substantial difference to the point where its not like it missed 1 price increase but multiple. And again, while the pizza itself was great, its not worth the price even if it was for the price on the website. read more

Pizza was decent. We ordered some for take out during vacation recently for a large group. The pizzas are huge so that worked out well. It's nice you can customize though there are limited options for toppings but we did get one with roasted garlic and pepperoni and that was done well. The roasted garlic were small pieces and added a good depth of flavor to an otherwise basic pizza. read more

Local on Nantucket's opinion... conveniently located right on the strip... steamboat has the best pizza on island along with the friendliest staff. The crust is great crispy on the thinner side, toppings are fresh. My favorite is the pepperoni or sausage. Hawaiian is excellent also. The pepperoni will send your taste buds on a ride. The sausage, notes of fennel tangy sauce great ratio of cheese to toppings. This place will not disappoint! The staff is funny always a smile on there face! A dollar or 2 or $5 will go a long way. We were getting bikes from the rental shop next door and were starving. We popped in to grab a couple of quick slices. Unfortunately this place is ridiculously expensive for what it is, and the pizza really is not great. There is not any seating, just a small spot to grab and go. My one diminutive slice of tepid cheese pizza was $4.70. The sauce was fine, cheese had potential but was burnt, but the crust was the most disappointing thing about it. Communion-wafery [at least to the best of my memory, oops...] and with a flat and uniform texture, it had that consistency of decent airline pizza [the one you eat in economy class] but no better than that, and seemed to be baked on a wire grill. I was visiting Nantucket, and as a pizza fanatic, I always aim to grab a slice of pizza wherever I travel. The full pepperoni pie caught my eye, so I swapped out my caloric allowance of an ice cream cone at Juice Bar for a slice instead. I'm no stranger to overpriced food based on location, but Jesus effing Christ, Steamboat. $6 for a small pepperoni slice. With a bottle of water, I was in over $9. In similarly spendy Manhattan, this same combo would run $5 max. Steamboat is cash only too. I didn't encounter this kind of blatant cash grab at any other restaurant or shop during the remainder of my long weekend in Nantucket, so I must assume this is the result of one owner's unabashed greed. The pizza itself wasn't that bad. They have a decent amount of turnover, so you get fresh slices. However, the slice is small in scale, and ingredients are supremely average. My advice is to stick to the shellfish and ice cream cones while on the island, and to get your pizza fix somewhere, anywhere else. read more

I can understand why this place gets some hate, but I thought the pizza here was pretty good. Yes, it's like $5 a slice, but that's not a bad deal compared to the rest of nantucket. And yes it's not gourmet or Neapolitan style pizza, but I thought it was top of its kind. The location is fab - right on the Steamship Authority wharf, adding to a good selection of street food options in the area. Lady working behind the register tries to scam customers. Charged me $12 for two slices of pizza without ringing it up on the register. Asked her for change and she told me there was no change. I then asked her for a receipt and she printed me a receipt showing that my total was $11.24. First and foremost you have to take in the variables here. Your on Nantucket so everything is overpriced and tailored to tourists. With that said, I thought the pizza here was very good. The slices were normal size but the price, about $5 a slice, is way overboard. Sadly it's still one of the more economic places to grab a meal on the island. The pizza was good. I thought the dough was crisp but not burnt, the cheese was fresh and good quality mozzarella and the sauce was flavorful. It's not Frank Pepe or NYC quality pizza but I'd recommend it if your stuck on an island lol read more

Went there not to long ago pizza and as a kid used to go all the time there..it is good pizza@$5.00 a slice of cheese & $24.00 for a whole Pepperoni (large) is little much but perfect location downtown close to the boat and about 5 min from the local bars....but all in all it good pizza just think it a little much for what you get. delivery is available there's a charge for that to drive to different parts of the island w/a smart car... read more

I'm giving this place a 1 star...wished there was an option for zero because the customer service was one of the worst I've experienced in a while and I was most surprised and disappointed that of all places it occurred on nantasket. People don't peanuts to vacation there, but the Jamaican cashier girl was absolutely horrible. Its a no card place if business...strictly cash, but there was not one sign displayed informing customers of this, instead u r directed to ATM machine snuggly and conveniently located inside with 4 ATM signs with one boldly displayed at eye level on the hot display letting customers know it was readi l y available to charge u $4 per transaction. When I asked the horrible cashier where was the sign informing customers of this she Said "its behind the no mask" sign , so I asked, csn I see it, she said she its bolted down and it wld have to be unscrewed to be shown.
