I don't even know where to start with this place. I used there service for almost 2 months, and that was my stupidity for not leaving them sooner. I just liked the fact that they delivered. First of all, at least half there employees who answer the phone barely speak english. They don't understand anything you tell them, so they are always making mistakes. They tell you your stuff will be ready by a certain day or time, then they say no, that's not what we said, you misunderstood. Then, they charge $3.50 a pound for fluff and fold!!!! I found 3 other places that charge $1.25, $1.50 and $1.50 a pound. RIP OFF ARTISTS!!! Another thing that really pissed me off, For some reason they created 2 accounts for me. I NEVER asked for 2 accounts, and I have no clue why they did that. So every time I called to check on my stuff, they said they have no record of having my stuff! I would always have to say check the other account. Not only that, but I must have asked at least 30 times, that they delete the other account so we can stop the confusion, yet, every freakin time, they wouldn't delete it! I can't believe this place has a 4 star rating! It must be there employees and/or family members writing these reviews. OK last thing and i'll stop. My clothes smell worse after they "wash" it then when I take it to them! You would think that after overcharging you like crazy, that they would at least use some decent smelling fabric softner! This place is the worst, and I hope everyone reads this review and never gives them business!!! read more

It doesn't matter how many times you dissect the motivation to dry-clean when you've got an institution like Steamer Cleaners on your side. All clothes -- pants, jackets, bras -- are on a journey. Whether it's realized or not, you are part of this peregrination the moment your skin mingles with the fibers that make a shirt a shirt instead of, like, a tent. Clothes were made to make you look good and no one's going getting knighted in a barbecue-stained pair of slacks. Steamer Cleaners is where your clothes come to fulfill their existential purpose. There is nary an article of fabric these people (and, yes, I realize how rare it is to use the phrase 'these people' in a positive manner) cannot clean and they deserve recognition. You won't find a better place to service your wardrobe than Steamer Cleaners. It's a family run business that was established by owners Shawn and Nicole, who are the sweetest people in the world and who treat their customers like family. In fact, I can attest that I have been spoiled for almost 20 years. Let me put it this way, I moved away and still manage to make it back to their store. Due to working in the field of law enforcement, my biggest priority has been my suits and field uniforms that they make sure to keep clean and sharp. I also am in need of 24 hour service. So thankfully, Steamer Cleaners has been able to meet all of my needs. Honestly, my family and I always leave feeling pretty spoiled. In addition to the excellent service, the staff is absolutely amazing, which can be so important after a long day. If you're lucky, you'll catch the owners during your visit. Shawn is always trying to stay a step ahead of a customer's needs, while Nicole is stopping to ask about your family with her beautiful smile that has become famous. I have been coming to Steamer Cleaners for the past five years. I felt it was time to give a shout out to my local cleaners. They are a family business that still represents everything thats right about great customer service. From the moment you walk in the door they make you feel like a millon bucks. The staff is super friendly and always welcoming. My kids absolutely love the snacks and treats. They have homemade cupcakes, popcorn, candy, and balloons. They even have snacks for my dog. They do excellent work on all my clothes, and always offer to help me out to the car. They even deliver my large orders when I'm away at work or just too busy with the kids. In terms of pricing I'd say they lean toward the high side, but it's worth every penny. I wear suits daily and they're not off the rack. It's comforting to know that my clothes are in good hands and always coming back in perfect condition. Recently they saved my favorite gray blazer from a coffee stain I thought for sure was never coming out. So it's back to the old adage you get what you pay for. I love to hate on California. I'm definitely one of those "everything's better back East" guys. From the bagels to the pies to I long for home. If it weren't for my job and the weather out here, I'd be back home. But every now and then there are a few other rays of sunshine in LA. Steamer Cleaners happens to be one of those Rays. Man was I impressed. I'm used to the old neighborhood cleaners back home that smell like burnt gasoline and sweat. The counters are dirty and if you brush up against anything you've got a new stain on your shirt. I walk into Steamer and it's like walking into the frigin Ritz. I'm greeted by like five people, everything's bright and clean. They got popcorn poppin, a giant big screen playing food network, and a iPad to search the web and every counter! Man was I blown away. To be honest I was a touch blown away with my bill but can honestly say my suits have never looked so good. None of those horrible creases in my pants that won't go away. Or the collar of my shirt that stands up in the back. It was top notch quality. My stuff had absolutely no smell either. So yea, I'll admit one thing is just better in L.A. So I had been using another cleaners in the area for the past few years. Recently I tried Steamer after my old cleaners botched a few big orders and ruined my favorite suit. I was skeptical to try Steamer as I feared that they were the big kid on the block and would lack customer service and attention to detail. Wow, how wrong I was. I assumed it would have that distant "big business" feel. I always prefer the local mom and pop establishments. Then I come to find out that its family owned, and the customer service was more like a fine restaurant than a dry cleaners! I was seriously greeted like five times when I walked inside. Everybody was so helpful and extremely friendly. It's pretty cool inside too, they have coffee and popcorn which I thought was a nice touch. My clothes came out prefect and I was so happy that I signed up for the free pick up and delivery. It's perfect for somebody who works or travels as much as I do. Their prices aren't exactly cheap, but neither are my suits. So happy I finally walked inside after all this time. I'm a very happy customer. read more

As a local resident and bus operator, I had high hopes for this cleaners due to its convenient location and long-standing presence in the community. I initially chose to support Steamer Cleaners because I was told they offered discounted dry cleaning for city employees, including police and transit workers. I even joined their mailing list and felt confident about giving them my business for both my work uniforms and personal garments. Unfortunately, after only a couple of visits, I was informed that the policy had changed and that city bus operators were no longer eligible for the discount--only law enforcement. I was also told that approximately 10 other bus operators would need to be made aware of the new policy, but I'm unsure if any follow-up was ever done. Despite expressing my concerns and reaching out respectfully, I never heard back from the owner or management. It's disappointing, especially since I genuinely wanted to support a local business in the community where I live and work. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

I had an awful experience with Steamer Cleaners after they lost my $750 rare Chrome Hearts hoodie and refused to take accountability. I dropped it off along with other items, only to have it switched out or stolen. When I brought it to their attention, the manager, Jose and owner Sean, was completely unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, they shrugged it off, insisting a mix-up was impossible--even though it clearly happened. To make matters worse, they had no proper camera footage, no system to track high-value items, and no real interest in making things right. Their excuse? They've been "overwhelmingly busy" due to a system change. That's not my problem. A business handling people's belongings should have better organization and accountability. They eventually gave me a $400 check--well below the hoodie's value--but that doesn't make up for their negligence. Please be careful when trusting them with your things. Steamer Cleaners is a wonderful experience. I know that sounds odd when referring to a dry cleaners, but there's really no other way to put it. It's truly an experience from the moment you walk in the door. You're greeted by a friendly staff member every time. They always remember you and and make you feel special by paying attention to details. My clothes are always fresh, perfectly cleaned and pressed, and on time. Working in the fragrance industry I have developed a very heightened sense of smell. My clothes never come out with that burnt and chemical smell I've experienced so many times before at other dry cleaners. The also provide me with a bio degrade bag which really makes me feel good. I just recently found out about the free pick and delivery and am very excited about that. I've heard great things from other customers and will be needing help as I spend more time traveling. biodegradable bags are just bs!!!!!!! and i'm sick and tired of hearing about it.. enough allready... At first glance, they may seem like a good idea, but a closer look reveals significant downsides such as: *Does nothing to address the consumption part of this problem which lies at the heart of this issue. Both biodegradable and regular disposable plastic bags require a similar amount of energy, natural resources and costs to produce. *Mixing of biodegradable bags in recycling systems for conventional plastic bags creates a sorting nightmare and can render entire batches of recyclable plastic useless. *Bag littering could easily increase as people start to believe that biodegradable bags are less harmful to the environment and will disappear quickly it takes at least 18 months for most to breakdown. *The breakdown of starch-based films in water consumes oxygen, resulting in oxygen depletion that contributes to algae blooms and the death of marine life. read more

I would only trust Steamer Cleaners to take care of my investments.....when you have clothing you work hard to purchase, you want them to last, be taken care of, etc. My whole family and extended family are always directed to Steamer by us. I've been going there for years and when there was a fire, it pained us to have to go somewhere else, be disappointed with the other cleaners. The thing is, they just don't care as much as Steamer. I even think my clothes couldn't wait for their reopening. Steamer Cleaners took care of everything from my Wedding Gown to my mom's curtains. I only get my clothes tailored there and am so very grateful for the courteous smiles, the hot coffee, the popcorn for the kids, and the other customers there are just as nice. Okay, I just can't say enough about how much I love Steamer Cleaners. Although my wardrobe would indicate otherwise I don't have a lot of money. I basically spend everything extra I have on clothes. But Steamer makes me feel just as important and special as a celebrity every time. Their customer service is amazing. Everybody is so nice and helpful. They remember the little things like my dogs name or asking me how my birthday party went. Even though it's big from the outside, it feels like a family business on the inside. If your the type of person that cares about your clothes, this is the place for you to go. The management goes above and beyond the call of duty and provides excellent customer support. The turnaround time is very prompt and my clothes always come back beautifully laundered. This dry cleaners runs a pretty large operation with several employees who are all very helpful and courteous. The downside: my shirts don't get as much attention as when I go to a smaller establishment (Steamer Cleaners can only do a machine press on dress shirts. They offer hand press, but only for the collar and cuffs... bummer). The costs are also a lot higher than average. The upside: quick turn-around time on laundry/dry cleaning and a super friendly staff. My overall consensus is that this is a great place to take bulk laundry, but for your nice dress shirts and suits visit a smaller dry cleaners. read more

I will never go anywhere else. I do a drop off and pick up about once a week. Although i moved from Sherman oaks to North hollywood about a year ago, knowing my clothes will come back to me exactly as i expect is worth the drive. I sent my husband to pick up my item, and he was charged for an alteration that was never mine. We were told it was a "past due balance," which made no sense as I have never had any outstanding charges. When I called to clarify, the owner, Sheri, admitted there may have been a mistake and that they likely confused me with another customer. However, instead of apologizing, she abruptly said she had customers waiting and could not continue the conversation, telling me I would need to physically return with the card later. I called back an hour later and provided my credit card information for the refund. While she agreed to process it before closing, when I expressed frustration over the inconvenience and their error, her response was, "Maybe you should find a place that makes you happier." What disappointed me most was not the billing mistake itself, but the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, or basic customer care. After 8 years of patronage, I will never return. I expected far better treatment from a business I supported for so long. This place seriously needs better leadership and customer service.

They could not find it. The new staff member that was hired lost the dresses and marked it to be picked up Monday. These things happen. It was not a good situation, but myself and the owner searched the back and we found the dress . she steamed it for me , i when on my way and made it in time. otherwise I've had really great experiences with ultimate Cleaners, but this one was really bad.

They were completely transparent with me about the difficulty of the job and tried multiple methods to save it for more than four times without any complaints. When it turned out the stain proved impossibly to be removed by any chemical, they were incredibly understanding and actually waived the fee since they couldn't get it off and I only brought it for the stain to be removed. It is rare to find a business with this level of integrity in today's day and age. They have definitely earned a customer for life!
