Friday eve, first time at this Steelbound location - place was not terribly busy. My neighbor and I were having dinner out before meeting up w/ her friend at another location. We sat at the bar and she ordered her usual fave drink, a Mojito. She immediately asked the bartender for a different drink, stating the Mojito was not good. Dinners - 1 flatbread pizza - prosciutto was cut far too thick, almost like a regular ham slice. Pasta - creamy black truffle sauce was very thick/pasty. Staff - No conversation, no smiles, they did ask how our food was and we simply responded with one word "good" but overall the experience felt a bit unwelcoming. Would we return - Nope. read more

It was nice and quiet for a Saturday night. I was a bit disappointed from the food selection here. It kind of lacked variety and the pricing is a bit crazy for the quality. I got chicken wings which was okay. I could tell the quality of chicken wasn't the best. I also got a mojito which was pretty bad, just loaded with simple syrup.. I rarely feel compelled to give negative reviews, and this one is specific for Travelers staying at the Hilton Mosey hotel in Williamsville. The hotel is fantastic and I've stayed numerous times over the years. Steelbound has been an excellent Nima over this time, and the dinners are great (I take away to my room). Breakfast, however is a nightmare. Never sure if there is menu service or a really disappointing buffet on par with a bad, free, lower tier motel chain. The service is sparse, lazy, uninspired and distracted by the blaring cacophony of noise from the GMA hosts in the bar TV. (She's watching right now as I'm trying to order). Tomorrow I'm going to walk the two blocks to get fast food from Tom Horton's. Do better Steelbound, and you'll profit from the Hilton customers staying in your same building. read more

Handcrafted, locally sourced, distillery, and brewery located on the ground floor of the Mosey Hotel in Williamsville, New York. Right off the 290 Thruway on Main Street. Very lively atmosphere. Seating at the bar or tables for dining. There's an outdoor area that is enclosed for all seasons. I like the modern, woodsy decor. Enjoyed an upside down pineapple martini. Ambiance 5/5. I didn't try any of the food since I was there for happy hour type event with my group. This is a nice addition to the Village of Williamsville. Other locations of this brewery/distillery are Ellicottville, Springville, and Dunkirk, south of Buffalo. read more

UPDATE: can you say food poisoning? Uuuurrrrgghhhh. Changing to 1 star cause I can't leave zero. Keep trying to patronize the various restaurants that are brought into this space at the Mosey Hotel, Hilton Tapestry collection. Even when it's a restaurant I've been to before (both Ellicottville and Springville locations) it just isn't right. Is there something about being in a hotel that says "we have to change our brand and make it a generic boring menu with mediocre food?!) Started out ok, seat yourself after passing through the lobby to the restaurant space. Three waitstaff standing at the bar as we enter, they acknowledge us with a hi- but no one follows with menus??? We wait 4-5 minutes before we are greeted and menus brought. At least our server was quick with waters (no ice?) and offer to bring drinks. Now I've been to quite a few breweries before and almost every single one provides a descriptive list of their brews. Not here. Menu is so plain it has descriptions of nothing. (what are "sizzlers"? 3 on menu with no words to describe) I asked for a list of beers with description and at least got one that gave me bare minimum of type of beer (lager, IPA, stout) with ABV listed. That's it. Type of hops? Taste profile? Anything? Oh well. I chose a good one- Clementine IPA. Light but full of flavor. (And discounted for Happy Hour which I had no idea it was - no signs or indications on The menus I saw) The menu- BORING but also weird. Neither other location had Butter chicken and this one had 2 or 3 mentions. 1 burger. 1 chicken sandwich. You can add chicken or shrimp to your salad- but the cost is a surprise - no mention of what the up-charge would be. I ordered prosciutto "pizza". Are you kidding?! Flatbread on naan bread at best. Barely one slice of prosciutto scattered over the 5 pieces. Cheese listed is Brie but more like PASTE (yellow and very very gummy). I really wanted to like this place it's very close to home. Brandon R. our bartender took a minute to warm up but was helpful. We ordered scallops with a very confusing sauce. The Loco beer on tap was good. Flatbread pizza is kinda lack luster but for 10 dollars it's worth it. Not many beers available for being a brewery. The Indian Fusion doesn't really go with the feel of the restaurant. It's attached to the Mosey Hilton. So it almost feels like they don't have to try that hard because of the built in business. This place is definitely gotten a lot busier. Bar was full, but there were definitely enough tables to sit down and have a drink. Their beer selection has a little bit of everything. Their IPAs are not super hoppy and a very refreshing. It is in a tapestry hotel, which is a version of Hilton hotels, which is a very high and boutique. read more

The food tastes like the owners don't let the chefs work with real ingredients, what seemed like the owners, either siblings or partners, were so rude to the staff while we were there. Came here for some brews and shareables. Good variety of beer so ended up getting a flight. Their blueballs blueberry beer is VERY heavy on the blueberry, Brooke loved it. The truffle fries were good and came with a great aoili dipping sauce. The margarita flatbreat was fantastic, with an amazing sweet sauce. But the best was the street corn bites. They were the star, and came with pickles red onions, jalapeño, and guacamole. Excited to come back here to try the entrees. Staff was very friendly. read more

The only decent part was the bun--which says a lot. The patty tasted like it was fried in burned, old oil, and the chips were rock-hard, stale, and carried the same rancid flavor. Nice place but it has no energy. One of the best French onion soups I've had in a long time. The side salad was a very generous size. The Calabrian chili pasta was a big disappointment. Described as white wine lemon sauce, shallots, garlic, parsley and Parmesan, I was expecting a lemon sauce with some chilis in it. It came and it was a chili sauce, no sign of wine or lemon. 2 stars A Nice Atmosphere, but the Pizza Needs Tweaking The staff was nice and the other patrons made it a decent dining experience. The interior and unique décor make it a memorable spot for a casual evening. That said, one of the dishes left me a bit... hungry, but not in the way I'd hoped. I ordered the pizza margherita expecting the simple, time-honored harmony of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. However, the ragu-style sauce used as the base felt like a mismatch for such a classic pie. Rather than complementing the lightness of the cheese and basil, the sauce was dense, oregano heavy, and more suited to food you would expect in a fair -like ragu or the eco marinara restaurant sauce from a jug. *Apologies to the carnival/fair locations in advance. While I appreciate this chef's eco creative approach, this particular twist didn't quite land for me. A margherita pizza shines with balance and brightness -- qualities that were a bit overwhelmed here. I'd definitely return to explore more of the drink menu only. Everything was fucking awful... drinks had no flavor, steak was burnt black, our waiter came to us maybe twice, he was also the manager. when I complained about my steak Tom G (said manager) turned around and walked away saying nothing.. about 35 mins later we get our check with 20% off.. I requested the manager (who happen to be our awful, non attentive waiter) because I took one bite and spit it out in a napkin, he then says "u ate half of it" I told him that I spit it out in a napkin and they took $7.00 off. I have multiple food sensitivities and she navigated the menu for me. I opted for the surf and turf with veggies instead of truffle fries. First of all I can't leave a five star rating because while the event I helped to plan came off beautifully, my anger is at the owner, Dill. I am the Co- Chairman of the Amherst Central High School Reunion Committee and the event we planned was the ice breaker kick off event for our 50th reunion. We Had two members of the committee working on that event, my Co- chair, Dr Sam Shatkin and Michael Lowe. Initially we went to meet with Dill ( do not know his last name) and he was very amicable, we had used the venue 10 years earlier when it was called Hooked and the location and size capacity suited our needs. As we progressed in our planning Mike found Dill impossible to communicate with, he had gone to India on vacation. now in this day and age where communicating is very easy I found it difficult to believe that he was unavailable. However that seemed the case. One of the employees a young man named Travis stepped up to the plate to help us. He was not a manager, as far as I know he was just a bartender. He helped us with the menu, mostly appetizers and even helped us create a signature drink for the event. He handled our every need and was delightful to work with. Durung this time we found out that Dill was supposedly hung up in Canada, unable to enter the US because of some issue with his Visa, and he was still...unavailable. Offering us no help, but what we found out that instead of being greatful that someone from his staff stepped up to the plate, he had an issue with it. We found out the next day that Travis was fired, yes you got it, FIRED! I have no idea what their reasoning was for doing this and to be honest I can't believe the audacity that Dill would punish someone for not just doing his job, but for going above and beyond his pay grade. Dill should be ashamed of himself, he is nothing but an absentee landlord who comes into our country to make money, and I'm sure he's making plenty of it and doesn't even have to pay taxes on it as he is not a US citizen. Instead the person who gets screwed is a young man who didn't deserve it. I hope Dill is still in Canada and is denied entry into the US. I know that the restaurant is a franchise and I sincerely hope the people who actually own Steelbound read this review and do something to help and reward Travis for his efforts. Dill is the one who needs to be fired. As much as we enjoyed our time at Steelbound I will not be returning ( and it's literally 3 minutes from my house, I go to the spa on the property on a regular basis) nor will I be recommending the Restaurant. The shrimp sizzler was $22 for onions and 5 pieces of shrimp. The prices are outrageous. Their take on curry is not it. We are so disappointed with the money we just spent. If you are a traveler, avoid this place at all cost. Maybe down the road they'll get their stuff in order but we have gone out everywhere and this was probably the worst meal we've ever had. The manager also came over to ask how everything was and we told her the pizza was awful and the beer he ordered wasn't good (ordered a lager and it was a sour) and she said "sorry, enjoy". I was anxious to try the new Steelbound Brewery & Distillery on Main St. inside The Mosey Building in Williamsville. It was an experience that far exceeded my expectations. There was a busy bar crowd and the dining room was packed but Amy, the wife of owner Dil Singh, found me a comfortable table. Tom was an outstanding server who walked me through a very extensive menu. I'm a French Onion Soup fan and they did not disappoint. Outstanding. For the entree I selected the Tandoori Shrimp...Marinated Shrimp, onions, pepper and cilantro lime cream. The Indian fusion flavor was perfect. I have never been to a more unprofessional establishment. When I first got there the hostess and waitresses were extremely nice and accommodating. The food came, it was mediocre at best. While I was dining I saw this lady yelling and screaming vulgar and rude slurs in one of the waitresses face. After the incident I went over to the young girl who was getting yelled at and asked her what was going on because I genuinely couldn't believe what I just witnessed. The young girl proceeded to tell me that was her boss/the owner and that apparently the owner didn't think she was doing a good enough job even though I watched this girl sit everyone, bust all the tables and do takeout orders. I then asked a few other waitresses who witnessed what happened what their side of the story was and they all agreed with the girl and confirmed that the owner is just extremely rude and is constantly belittling and verbally abusing her employees. I sincerely am appalled by the unprofessionalism I witnessed while dining here. I will never be returning and I hope people will choose to do the same. This owner deserves nothing more than to fail with how poorly she likes the treat the people who are the reason she can even have a business. read more

Food was possibly the worst we've ever had. Everyone had different entrees and all were beyond awful. Burger was burnt on the outside and the cheese was not melted. He said it tasted like charchol. It was ordered medium. The chicken on the salad was undercooked. It was inedible once cooked. Can't even explain the flavor of the breading. Siracha Chicken sandwich had horrible flavor. Tried this place for the first time. It'll will also be our last. The ONLY good thing about the visit was our waitress Hannah. She was so sweet and absolutely amazing. The "manager" has NO BUSINESS being in management. He is definitely NOT management material. He never came to speak to us even after we asked to see him. He did everything in his power to avoid us. Everyone's dinner was completely screwed up. Items asked to be added or ommited from our plates were still there on some and completely absent from others. Every plate that showed up was wrong and cold. He never came out to speak with us to try and fix it, he just yelled at our waitress and didn't want to fix the problems. It wasn't her fault, she just brought the food out, she didn't cook it! He sat in the doorway of the kitchen on his phone instead of coming to speak with us. When we finally received something close enough to our orders, the whole table was done eating before mine even arrived. Again, the manager who should have brought it to the table and apologize, hid in the kitchen. The food was again cold, not cooked to the desired temps and just not good overall. Definitely Not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. The manager is a jerk who doesn't care and has no customer service skills.
