First time checking this place out and the kids loved the arcade downstairs. We had a group meet-up with over a dozen kids and this was a great option for the kids to be entertained. You can order via their QR Code and they will bring down your drinks and food. The only issue with a big group is when you start ordering multiple things via separate individual orders (2nd drink or more food) the bills got confusing when we went to pay. Most of us ordered pizzas which were good. The kale Caesar was a main stand-out, not just for flavor, but also size (it was huge). The drinks were good, but wish they had an option to order pitchers of beers instead of only individuals. I did appreciate that they had HH offered especially on a Saturday! The vibe is fun and we had a great time. Parents beware that you can spend a lot of money fast on these arcade games. A few games ate our money and it's play at your own risk. First impressions- The closest parking spots are reserved for electric vehicles. All other vehicles have to park in a lower parking lot, and then walk up the hill to the entrance. I'm not opposed to exercise, just inconvenience. I walked inside the restaurant, had to wait a bit for the hostess to arrive and greet me with what I consider a lackluster greeting. The space is beautiful and conveniently located next to EV charging. It was very quiet. They had a lot of kitchen staff and two bartenders. Bar service was good, but food took a long time, especially for how few customers they had. My partner and I got one of each of their sandwiches. I got one because it said it was served on their house made foccacia bread. When it finally arrived, it was not on foccacia bread at all. I asked the bartender if they were out, but she said they only serve the foccacia bread as an appetizer and the sandwiches on the premade bread it was on. Go for the food, not for the games. We brought our family here with the promise of an arcade to our kids. Tons of seating, the food was great and the beer tasted like beer. We ordered a few pizzas and had no complaints. 10/10 would eat here again. We then took our kids down to the arcade but found that the quarter machine was empty. Luckily the bar next-door sold us a roll. Well, that was a waste of money and energy as half the games didn't seem to work. The puck was missing from the air hockey table (you only find that out after paying). Three of the crane games were broken or turned off. And lastly, one of the games was rigged to rip you off - I watched my son "win" a pack of Pokémon cards, but when they didn't drop, I got suspicious. On further inspection, you can see that the pack was double clipped, making it impossible to win as you can't hit two clips at once. Smh. The place is very cool inside! Really huge with ample seating. We like to stop by earlier in the day to avoid the crowd but I imagine this place is really happening at night. This place is awesome! I can't wait to go back with family. We stopped by for a snack and drink. Got a hazy ipa, ginger beer, white pizza, meatball pizza, and aracini. I absolutely loved Steeplejack! I didn't expect that everything we ordered would taste so good. We are there on a Friday afternoon around 5:30 pm and there were lots of tables available and they easily accommodated a group with two babies. Parking was a plenty and not a problem either. Ordering is done through a QR code at the table, so a no-fuss kind of deal, which I liked. Another in our group prefers to talk to a server instead. I saw a sign that says happy hour is everyday from open-6 pm, awesome. We got the Brussels and someone in our group got the $6 Eldorado IPA pint. Both good choices! For sharing, we also got the meatball pizza and Italian loaded fries and focaccia bread. The Italian loaded fries had a sauce that was unexpectedly spicy, but if you're into spice, it's good! It was reported that the sauce was really good before a swig of the IPA, fyi! The fries are skinny shoestrings, just the way I like them! The Brussels were my favorite thing we ordered - I smelled them twice as the server passed by and could not resist ordering them and wow, am I glad I did! So yummy and full of flavor. The Brussels not only have that signature Brussels flavor, but they add a sweet-ish sauce that paired well with it. The pizza was good! The bar at this place is a diamond in the rough. They have an excellent rotation of beers on tap and a fully stocked bar to boot. My wife and I love the pizzas here with its perfect crust. The food is SO good. It's too bad that every single time we are there, the bartender with the grey hair/ponytail is always so unbelievably rude to us. Scoffing when we ask for a table. Irritated when asking to break a large bill so that we can continue to spend money while our kids play in the arcade. We brought out a store bought cake and the grumpy dude came over and told us it was against health code, but he'd waive the $25 fee this time. Currently eating here and writing my review while chewing on the most delicious and fresh flavors i've had during my entire time in Portland!! Our server Kea is absolutely wonderful and is a delight to talk to every time she delivers our orders to our table or checks on us. So far we have only enjoyed the Fried Brussels, and are delighted with the ambiance of the restaurant. Will check in once our pizzas arrive and we devour them! Update: Kea and Autumn are the best!! And the pizza here is to droooool over...... We ordered the Midnight Kiss on Gluten Free crust, and the Papa Ricotta with meatball added. Long review short(ish)...... This place knows how to do pizza!!! I've been here 5 times and whether they have just opened for the day and are relatively empty or it's peak-entertainment hour, the service and drink/food quality have been absurdly good. Probably the most beautiful brewery in Portland. It's a spot where I often take out-of-town guests. I actually come to this place a lot to host happy hours for my meetup. They have a daily happy hour from 4 - 6p, and plenty of little nooks and areas to accommodate small to even large meetup groups. In terms of meetups, the ordering system is actually pretty conducive to this as well. Everyone in the party can just order their own drinks/food with the QR code...and the bill can be billed to each individual. I've had the burger here. A bit pricey, but it's decent. Nothing to write home about though. I don't drink, but there's free refills on soda. Kinda cool too cause they also serve coffee and pastries in the morning. Gotta try that sometime! A cool restaurant to stop in for pizza and a beer! This is a large space and great for families and large groups. We enjoyed some refreshing beers on the patio. I tried the specialty jalapeño margarita and it was a bit bland, but the beers were good. The pizza was hot and fresh, we went with a basic cheese pizza which was good. Nothing too special but we would get it again. The Kale Caesar Salad was delicious, a huge portion, fresh and just overall really good. The Arancini [fried risotto] was just okay. They look very tempting but didn't quite hit the spot. We would pass on those if we go again.
