The smoothies are all delicious and a must have. Endless choices for whatever mood you are in. I love that you can easily customize and create your own for a lot of their menu options. It's small, and filled with tons of Grateful Dead and related memorabilia, so you'll want to linger a bit to see it all, but on a busier morning/early afternoon, you might feel a bit pressed to finish up and go since they've got a pretty steady flow of people waiting for your table. I really do love that this place exists but they need to get their service together. All three times I've been there they have gotten my order wrong once, twice, or on the last visit, three times in a row. First they made it wrong, second they gave it to someone else, and third they forgot an ingredient. They were very nice and apologetic but by the time I got the omelette 40 minutes later I would've rather had a refund, or my time back. Like I said, the vibe is great and their options are unmatchable including vegan and gluten free paradise. I love their pancakes, but the laid back service does not make for laid back dining experience. I'd say get better staff, and you'd be golden. Update: improved! read more

Full of lies all around. The A Frame sidewalk sign boasted Best Coffee in Town. Lie number one. The iced coffee was not drinkable. I will admit, I'm a coffee elitist and well, this made the not drinkable list. Their "Always fresh and warm" doughnuts, first, they were not even doughnuts. They looked like onion rings you would get from Burger King but a dessert version. Charming Grateful Dead themed cafe on NY Avenue in the Village featuring solid breakfast options and creative sandwich offerings. BF is a fan of their coffee and egg sammies, while his son dug the house-made cinnamon donuts. And, they offer fresh buttered rolls which are crazy difficult to get outside of NY; bagels with a schmear or sandwich style. We had the Hippie: chicken, avocado, hummus and veggies in a tortilla wrap and it was outstanding. The Goldbergs pastrami on rye with mustard was gobbled up and thoroughly satisfying for the BF; his son liked the kids menu grilled cheese, too. They feature Boar's Head cold cuts, organic meatballs and organic half, full and fried chicken, candied bacon and other snacks. Their ice cream looks delicious and will surely be tasted during future visits. The decor is really eclectic with Grateful Dead ticket stubs framed and displayed and the music adds to the overall upbeat mood. Jerry Garcia graces the mural on the car park wall; even the restrooms are creatively appointed with GD nicknacks and memorabilia. The wait for the food was long about 10-15 minutes to order it and at least 20-30 minutes to get it and all we got were a bowl of chili, which was cold....after all the time it took????? We finally got a seat, I had been kind of watching for something to open up and they were all kind of dirty, it didn't appear that anyone came along and periodically wiped them down, there were crumbs all over and the garbage pail was overflowing. They've got a lot of organic and gluten-free options, baked goods baked fresh on-site, free trade coffee, and some interesting breakfast and lunch items. It's got a fun, laid-back vibe, kind of hippie meets rock-and-roll. I really liked the kale salad w/ almonds, dried cranberries and feta; the hippie wrap (chicken, avocado, lettuce, hummus in whole wheat tortilla) was pretty good, but a little lacking in flavor. I met my aunt here for lunch yesterday. Stella Blue is nestled in the quieter part of Main Street in the village, and what a find it is. It reminds me of Woodstock, in upstate NY. The atmosphere was 60s hippie style, from the decor to the music - which I love. The menu is extensive and includes many organic and vegan options. From breakfast to dessert it was hard to choose something because everything looked delicious. At Stella Blue you go to the counter and order your food and they call your name when it is ready. All the staff was friendly and they are very laid back which allowed my aunt and I to enjoy the foos, the atmosphere and each other's company. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were out of French fries and sweet potato fries yesterday. I still highly recommend Stella Blue, go check it out. read more

I heard that there was an irate customer arguing COVID restrictions before me.
