used to get this salad all the time in high school- it was excellent. got it today, 5 years later, and it definitely was not the same. i ordered it for pick up, and from the moment i picked it up the lettuce was soggy. i think it's pretty standard with take-out salads that you always leave the dressing on the side to prevent this from happening. however, my biggest problem with the salad was the chicken. i couldn't eat any of it. it was chewy and rubbery and just gross. won't be getting another caesar from here. read more

Cute little place to grab coffee or sit and relax and have a bite to eat. I got an egg sandwich on Ezekiel bread which was delicious. My mom created her own sandwich too however the place is a little too expensive for me. They charge an extra dollar for a slice of tomato?! CHICKEN & WAFFLES!!!!!! They were sooo good! The organic white meat chicken was so juicy and crispy. The waffle was fresh and delicious. The syrup poured all over it was perfection and the Jalepeno cornbread was a nice addition. I added a side of scrambled cheese eggs. This was the absolute PERFECT breakfast. I've been to Stella Blue a couple times and I loved it every time. I wish they had more seating but then again I'm glad it's not overly packed and you can relax, take your time and enjoy your meal in a place that feels like home. These people are so unbelievably friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It's a great place to sit, relax and eat. We brought our 3 year old daughter and the piano man played "wheels on the bus" for her she loved it. On my first visit, I had suggested that they serve chicken and waffles because it's friggin awesome and I think everyone would love it. To my surprise, on my next visit, there it was on their new menu. I love a place that takes advice, suggestions and ideas from their guests and actually implements them. The donuts are great. The pulled pork egg sandwich is delicious. I've only been there for breakfast dishes, but then again, Stella Blue serves breakfast all day so there's really no reason not to order breakfast. If you haven't tried Stella Blue yet, wait no longer, they are a great addition to the village. Stella Blue has done for breakfast and lunch what Kiss My Cake has done for dessert. Don't get me started on how good Kiss My Cale is. Ok I'm done for now. Great, Now I want Chicken and Waffles again. Can't wait to go back this weekend!!! read more

Just found out about this place and it's awesome! We had the pulled pork burrito and it was some of the best pulled pork I've had. Candied bacon was unreal! "The Stella" was very good. Donuts were great! Everything. The people behind the counter are very nice and welcoming. The music is great. I'm glad we found a new go to in Huntington. read more

The breakfast was ok.. But only ok.. Problems with the time they take 20 min for a wrap and also when the wrap arrive it was a disappointment: rice over cook no sauce no salt really plain and bland. Mind you the staff its very nice and attentive, but when I pay around $10 for a burrito you expect a little more. I think it's a good place for coffee and donuts. Maybe I had bad luck read more

This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back. I got the Stella sandwich which was pretty good and the iced tea and lemonade which were also pretty good. I thought the place itself was cute and fun and the staff was helpful. It's hard to judge a lot based on that alone, but I'm rooting for them. I enjoy the food, but the salads are pre-made. Usually salad with grilled chicken comes out with the chicken fresh off the grill.. with that being said I felt like it was def overpriced for a refrigerated salad.. I went here with a friend for lunch yesterday and I loved it! The atmosphere was really my vibe, I adpred the decor and tables. It was pretty crowded but we managed to snag a seat. I got one of the breakfast wraps (any place that serves breakfast all day is already an A+ in my book) which was very good BUT, I am pretty sure it was supposed tp have avocado in it but it didn't. I didn't complain because ya know maybe their trying to help save California or something, but they should have said something when I ordered. Either way, it was cheap ($10 for a wrap and a cup of tea) and just an overal great place to catch up with a friend! Will definitely return! read more

Trendy place new spot in huntington. When you walk in the decor is laid back but perfectly out together. You can not say you couldn't find anything on the menu that wouldn't tickle your fancy. The menu has a wide variety of items ranging from breakfast goodies along with all-time classics. If you venture through out the menu you will find delicious sandwich options where it will be hard for your to chose which one you want first. And last but not least the tempting sweet treats they have to offer as well ranging from home-made cookies to low fat muffin (for those who want to watch their waistline) also they offer a variety of icecream :) my weakness. I had a delicious veggie burger with the works. The asiago cheese I had added to my burger was very tasty and what I liked also was the fresh toasted roll wasn't too thick and didn't take away from the burger. Because one thing wasn't enough I also had to taste the cole slaw which was made just right it wasn't too wet or too sweet. The sweet potato friends with Cajun spices added to it was great! And the hummus platter was amazing such a great serving of veggies and warm pita on the side This will definitely a go to spot and I live in the area so they will know me by name after a few visit ;) And not to mention it is a family run business and everyone pitches in and helps. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I was debating which items to go after. Well worth the wait for this spot to open. Over all fantastic food- great staff and relaxing setting. First time here. I just search Yelp all for healthy deli & Stella popped up. Walking in the place as a laid back hippie vibe. Very squeaky clean, while they were making my order I walked around & inspected lol. Delicious looking treats in the display cases, gluten free chocolate chip cookies & blueberry scones very tempted. Ordered a gluten free sandwich and they gave me a chicken cutlet on it that had gluten. Gave me a serious attitude when I wanted to return it for something I could actually eat. Really rude staff. Gave the place a second chance, staff was just as rude and gave me half the portion I got last time for the same price. (16 dollars for a tiny sandwich) Won't be back. read more

Food here is good but most times it's super crowded and I just keep driving by and go somewhere else. There isn't much seating and they don't really do a good job cleaning up after the obnoxious people who leave their garbage all over the tables and make a disaster out of the coffee, napkin, condiment area. I've also been waited on by numerous rude employees but, if it is an off time of the day I will still stop in because like I said, their food IS good and their coffee is as well. I guess as a society we just learned to accept that places won't care about the quality of their employees who are technically the face of their business . read more

Stella Blue is a great addition to the neighborhood. The mural of Jerry Garcia appeared months ago, a taste of what was to follow. I checked it out for the first time today. Organic and local ingredients, breakfast all day, creative and tasty looking sandwichs and fun treats. They were making hot donuts the whole time I visited. I had the Stella Blue sandwich, chicken with delicious tomatoes and a garlic mayo on a whole grain roll. The sandwich wowed me. These owner was friendly and seems passionate about his vision for Stella Blue. I'd recommend it for breakfast, lunch or a snack (they have fresh ice cream for a small place upstate). read more

I used to love this place. It's such a cool concept with an interesting interior but everything else about it has gone downhill since it opened a few years ago. They have an extensive menu but half of it isn't available when you try to order it. They have "world famous" donuts but the fryer looks like it hasn't been used in ages -- they told me it was "down" but it just looks like they don't want to use it. They got rid of the flavor syrup pumps for coffee, and there's no wifi...would've loved to sit in here and do some work (and order some food) but no wifi, no food I want available, and no customizable coffee? I absolutely love this place and am so happy it finally has opened! I can only really speak to their breakfast items since this is my go to spot for my morning coffee/treats. So far all the baked goods have been spectacular especially their gluten free items! The coffee is to die for! I have had their chicken salad which I also loved. Everything is organic and the staff is so friendly! The ambiance is so cute especially if you are a big grateful dead fan :) Definitely be prepared to wait a little because they do run slow but it is worth the wait. So many pros! One con. Super pro: organic coffeeeeee!!!!!! Pros: they're open hella early, the bathroom makes me happy, organic and gluten free options, almond milk at no extra charge, I've had what was somehow the most incredibly soft and flavorful scrambled egg in a whole wheat wrap ever, a low fat blueberry muffin that is indescribable and currently tops all blueberry muffins ever, and blueberry flapjacks that were fluuuffffy and STUFFED with plump blueberries and served with home-whipped whipped cream. Con: consistency. (Con-sistency, ha!) The blueberry flapjacks were about to become my Sunday morning ritual, but my second time ordering them, they were practically made by a different place! So many fewer blueberries, and, the whipped cream was Cool Whip. Cool Whip! Heartbreak. I will go back a third time for the flapjacks cause I'm a hopeful blueberry junkie, please don't be out of that fresh whipped cream! read more

There's an awful lot of competition in the immediate area and this place just doesn't cut it. The head-shop atmosphere is cool. Once. The music is good. But here are two huge reasons to avoid this place: 1. No wifi. "we don't give out the wifi password" Just wow. I can't remember being in a coffee shop without wifi. $5.97 for 2/3 of a not-quite-venti latte. Really? There are a half dozen great coffee shops within a mile or so. I came here for breakfast and ordered a rice bowl and biscuit. The biscuit was stale and dry - I couldn't even finish it because it was so difficult to chew and swallow. The breakfast bowl was 80% rice, and besides the egg and the avocado, had minimal amounts of the other components. It was also extremely bland and underseasoned. We love the hippy vibe here. Its a really cute place with a Woodstock and Grateful Dead theme. The name is after a Dead song. The coffee is excellent and the food is really fresh and good. Lots of baked goods including gluten free options. Their breakfast buritos are huge and delicious. Its counter service, no waiters, which I don't mind. Their pulled pork is exceptional. I've never been disappointed. You've gotta check out the wallpaper in the bathroom, it's rock posters and so much fun. The artwork is of legendary musicians of the 60s and 70s and the tables look like the ones from grandma's kitchen, with mixed matched chairs. This place has a wonderful vibe upon entering. Unfortunately, it kind of disappoints after that. They boast about having the best coffee in town. It's feh at best. There is no wifi for customers. I ordered the tomato, bacon, mozzarella and basil sandwich. Sadly, it was tasteless. Never thought I'd ever say this about bacon, but it was horrible. And when I order anything with fresh basil, I expect to be able to taste that fresh basil twang. I only knew the basil was there by opening up the sandwich and looking inside. It appeared as a few dark shreds that I'm thinking were chopped at some point waay before my sandwich was made. I am a fan, come here often and have a few favorites. The oatmeal(s) are amazing - all the classic breakfast sandwiches are great and the gluten free options make it so easy to find something I can eat without having to sacrifice the fun of trying something new. They also have amazing coffee!! The management can be a bit abrasive at times but the college kids that cycle through are great - very sweet and easy going. read more
