We came here for dinner, reviews and pictures looked good. As we finished our dinner at the bar, not one but two cockroaches were crawling around on the bar in front of us! Also, the pizza tasted frozen or pre-made, not fresh. Definitely will not be returning and would not recommend!! read more

Had ordered from here. Over the phone. Got a chili oil pizza , spaghetti pasta with chicken and lemon cello crème brûlée. The pizza was good had a kick to it initially the spaghetti was good as well. Crème brûlée was good flavor. That night our stomachs hurt we thought it was because the pizza. Had some left over pizza the next day and I just had a terrible stomach ache!!!! All day I had stomach pains and ended up throwing up all the food I had ingested. Even now I'm just able to recover from such a stomachache. Don't know if there was an ingredient left out and back in the fridge then served to customer or other bad food code. Nevertheless I would NOT RECOMMEND eating here if the food on takeout was terrible I can't imagine how it'd be like in restaurant. read more

The food was excellent. Loved the polenta and shrimp. Fresh pasta and chicken was great. Service was excellent. Wine list was good. Will try to get here for the HH next time. The doughnuts were the best and a great shareable dessert. I've been looking for a new Italian place and ai definitely found it!!! I did have one disappointment- bottle price $75 for Complicated Red Blend - my go to when on a restaurant menu $75 too high, other restaurants are 50-60 bucks. I had a couple of glasses of federalist at 12 each, good pours so I was satisfied but will miss my complicated and it was $20 a glass! Will come back for the $5 wine during HH. read more

To be completely honest / this global pandemic has taken me off my geographically desirable gourmand game, so imagine my true delight at finding the newest jewel of Grapevine gourmet Italian cuisine. It's Delicious / run don't walk / to STELLINI / this little star of awesomeness / that's how wonderful our dinner was. Pasta on point - my jumbo scallops with polenta were perfection. The restaurant's wine purveyor has serious game - as a self proclaimed wine aficionado - all my boxes were checked - great eclectic Sonoma, Napa & Paso wines in addition to some wonderful off the beaten path European, Australian & New Zealand selections are sure to please even the most discerning oenophile. They have sangrias, old fashions & various bespoke lemoncellos on tap as well. Service was wonderfully attentive & the desserts are superstars as well. Next time we will have some forethought and put down our forks and take a picture before we clean our plates! read more

People in front of us had a dog that was shedding like crazy but we like don't so didn't think anything of it. Then we were told they didn't allow strollers so we'd have to wake up our infant and hold her to eat..... ya no thank you. We were excited to try this restaurant for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, it was a big miss. There appeared to be only one waitress for the whole restaurant, so service was very slow. She was definitely overwhelmed. The food was just not good. The lasagna had zero flavor and the sauce on it tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes was just poured over it. A few in our party got pizza and it had zero taste as well. They have a lot to work on here and I hope they can turn it around because the ambiance is at least nice. read more

Great experience on a Wednesday night. We had summer salads and margarita pizza at the bar. Salads were fresh and very well made and the pizza was so tasty. Loved the mozzarella. Honestly, would give A+ for ambience but for sure an F for food. Spaghetti was chewey, drowning in sauce but it was the pizzas that were the most repulsive. Grease layered upon grease with extremely few toppings. Waiters were very sweet. Person who seated us kind of looked us up and down because we were dressed in workout attire (on purpose-- bc we like to see how we are treated as "normal" people). No kids menus or kids options at all. Definitely not a kid-friendly restaurant. Tables not socially/physically distanced or marked off, but not enough people there in the evening to matter.... Just FYI. We for sure will not be going back. Overpriced, below average food, and just up the street Taverna Rossa is far superior. read more

Meatballs were good. Pasta was excellent. Goat cheese Pizza was ok. Maybe I waited to long to eat it cause I was too busy scarfing down the pasta. Tiramisu could have been better. This is supposed to be an update, so I'll keep it short. We went Friday night (6/12) with another couple. NOLA was home and upbringing to them both. Suffice to say they know their palates and quality food. We were all wowed. Harry and I each had the veal chop, perfectly done in a crusted finish consisting of Chef Ted's imaginative magic. The ladies' pastas were simply exquisite. And for desserts we all had Ted's brown butter pecan cake - so rich it would have been hard to eat, except too delicious to leave a single crumb. When the pandemic madness subsides, gourmands are going to lay siege to Stellini. I'll be among them! When the critics find out about this casual chic place in Grapevine, getting a table is going to get dicey. We had arancini and Gorgonzola stuffed dates pan fried in pancetta for starters followed by planked shrimp in herbed lemon butter, a very special risotto, and Italian steak and potatoes. For dessert, it was the limoncello cake. Every detail of the meal was quality and lovingly prepared by Chef Ted. Italian steak and potatoes is a pun for generous tournedos of tenderloin sautéed in black truffle butter, and served alongside potato and fontina gnocchi. The risotto was flavored with butternut squash purée and a touch of cinnamon. We're talking serious good eats, here. The service is impeccable and friendly. The ambience is modern and chic, but not at all cold or austere. Stellini will please the discerning palate as well as the hipster foodie. Quality has a way of reaching all tastes. We feel the food was okay the server acted as if he didn't like doing the job. Condescending type attitude. We asked to move tables because our table had issues. His reply we do that on purpose, because we don't want repeat business.. it was condescending and no he doors meant it. But why say I'm sorry we want tto to enjoy every part of your experience. Not be smarty. He might be part of leadership and felt he was above table waiting. I like floor plan and finish out. Food....One pasta was way under cooked the other two were just right. The garlic chicken was acceptable/good but did have a knife to cut it away from bone. So had to eat with my hands like KFC. Salad was GREAT DRINKS were good normal drinks order wine mix drinks We might go back but set at bar for app's and drink then go... Really it's okay but left being.... indifferent (nothing stood out), So when you say hey "where do you want eat?" No one says let's go to the okay alright place. We all go to a place that makes a difference... or stands out in some way. Party of 4 says 3 stars, now it's only open 3+ months and may get better.. Came here with 4 friends for brunch last Saturday. Had an awesome experience. The server was great (I don't remember her name but she went to LSU) and the food was tasty. Also, the bottomless mimosas! What a steal! Those are hard to find these days. It's such a cute restaurant and I feel like they need to do a better job marketing because it was completely empty when we went on a Saturday at 1pm. That's like prime brunch hours. Hope they figure it out and are able to stay open. Edited to say: PLEASE include all ingredients on your menus. The breakfast pizza comes covered in arugula, to which some of us have a very strong aversion. Put that on the menu so we can order it without arugula otherwise you will have people sending it back; I tried to pick mine off instead but you cant get it all off if it's melted in the cheese. read more

I'm not a native Texan. I lived in Chicago for 36 years. What do I miss most about living in Chicago? Good Italian restaurants. No need to miss them anymore now that Stellini is around. This place has it all. Great food, great wine, great service all at a reasonable price. The food is AMAZING. Seriously. Everything we had was excellent. This place has a great vibe too. You could go for some apps and wine with some friends, a full out nice dinner, or even sit at the bar and have a drink. It's a very nice restaurant, but also has a laid back feel. I hate pretentious, but I like nice places. Stellini has hit the sweet spot in terms of atmosphere. And most importantly, I can afford it on a teacher's salary. Check it out. Very nice and located East of Main St across from the brewery. Atmosphere is upscale/casual with several group-sized tables also meant as sharing spaces. The food was really really good. There was a small temperature problem with our meatball appetizer. Surprisingly the manager fixed that by bringing us another dish which allowed us to taste it as it was meant to be served. Delicious! Decently priced wine selections but it was served a little warm and the wait person explained that they really didn't know how to open wine. Which also meant that they don't know how to serve it. However, Parmesan brodo soup, pork chop, pasta malfadine and roasted chicken were extremely good. The grilled lemon for the chicken is a very nice touch. Definitely a place to enjoy again ! read more

I went here with my mom for her birthday dinner on 11/16. Disappointingly, the food wasn't amazing, especially for the price. I had the Cacio E Pepe, and I was looking forward to it as that's one of my favorite Italian dishes. Super simple and super tasty. I also got some steak with it because that was an option, and seemed like a tasty idea. Unfortunately what I got for $18 was a watery dish with very little pepper and hardly any cheese. The pasta itself was good, as was the steak, but I was disappointed with how the dish came out. My mom had the special, which was a short rib of some kind. It was just ok, not a whole lot of flavor to the short rib. However, the Caesar salad was excellent, as were the mixed veggies with balsamic. I could eat those all day! The cheesecake was obscenely good, 11/10. I'd normally give this kind of review 3 stars, but this place excels at great service and ambiance. And that cheesecake... holy crap. Seriously, it's like heaven. I'll have to come back and give this place another try, see if there's other entrees that have a bit more care and flavor put into them. read more

First time here. The food was good, but I can't say it was anything to rant and rave about sadly. The dishes just left more flavor to be desired. The lobster bisque was more like a thick tomato soup and the lobster tasted freezer burned. The Caesar salad was a good portion and they can add anchovies, however they put way too much powdered Parmesan on it. Next time I would see if they have real shaved Parmesan. We also had their night special risotto with steak and their halibut with risotto. The risotto, fish and the steak were cooked good but the flavors were just not there. We had their focaccia bread and it was the best part of the meal. We would like to try the brunch menu in the future to see if we like it more. read more
