My family and I came for dinner that we had reservations for but got seated in their covered outdoor area. It was kind of nice having the small area to ourselves but because we were out of sight, we were probably out of mind. That or just not very good service. The server greeted us quickly and got our drinks fairly quick. So the service started off strong but then went downhill from there. We were never checked on after we received our food. My son never got his side of ranch. I would have ordered another glass of wine but he took too long to come back. Then we had to wait around forever for the check. Kids and husband got pizzas and they were pretty good. I got the filet and gnocchi and it was just ok. Super disappointed. I also got the lobster bisque which was tasty but a little on the salty side. Our bill was over $140 for 4 entrees, a soup and 1 glass of wine. Soooooo not worth it. We won't be back. read more

I hosted a business dinner at Stellini back in early October and could not be more pleased and impressed with entire experience. I worked with Stellini's restaurant manager, Blake. Blake curated a special menu and experience for me and my 20+ business guests. We had a lovely private room with a dedicated server (who was phenomenal!) and bar tender. The food was out of this world, and I received many compliments and thank you's from my guests. When I first spoke to Blake about putting this together he told me that he was going to "knock it out of the park" and boy howdy, did he (and his amazing staff) ever! This is clearly a new hot spot in Grapevine. We went there for our Thursday date night and had a very nice meal. Parking is limited and is an issue here. There are signs not to park at the brewery next door - but whatever, the brewery gets plenty of our business too, so we parked there anyway. We had a reservation and based on some other reviews, it seemed to be a necessity, but there were plenty of tables available when we got there. We didn't order wine as I had a bit of a headache and wasn't drinking that night, but their prices on wine by the glass make it unlikely I would order any even on a normal day. We started with the meatball appetizer which was delicious and quite large. Good bread served alongside it too. Husband went with the wild boar tagliatelle and actually was scraping the plate when he finished. I had the mafaldine (pasta with parmesan cream sauce, shaved brussel sprouts, and pancetta) which was amazing. I will say that when I heated up my leftovers the next day, I was a little taken aback at the amount of butter - but then what did I expect? Definitely will return. We've been going to Stellini Trattoria since they opened a few years ago, and yesterday was the worst food we've ever experienced there. Son's steak was ok, but husband's scallops tasted off, not fresh. I had the salmon, which was dry, not tasty like it usually is. The carrots and cauliflower were extremely dry and way overcooked, some burnt. Ordered a side dish of grilled vegetables, which were also an overcooked mess. Not once did the manager come over and ask us how our dinners were. I called him over after we ate, and told him how disappointed we were, and he said "noted". We won't be going back. read more

I'm not familiar with the area, but Google maps took me right there. In what seems to be a somewhat out of the say location in Grapevine you will find an amazing Italian restaurant with great food and a caring owner. Trying to be a little health conscious I ordered Salmon and it was delicious. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I couldn't have asked for a better meal. I also took a chance and ordered the Ill Poggione Rosso wine, one of their top five and really enjoyed it. Prices are a little steep, but at least the dishes are good..but IDK? No happy hour as of yet, I went at 3pm and that's a MUST, you can't survive without a substantial happy hour and appetizer menu with all the competition in the area! For me as only one chick eating solo, my check was almost $50 total with tip at LUNCH, and as much as I ADORE my dish 100%, at lunch in Grapevine maybe they could have had a lunch portion or something? For lunch we had the caprese (mmmmmm!), waffle, beef broth, meatballs, frutada. We all loved our meals. They graciously accommodated a cinnamon & gluten allergy on the waffle too! Waitress and bar manager were great! Dinner was well amazing as well! Authentic, fresh Italian and a waitstaff that was so relaxed, friendly, attentive and also accommodating to a gluten allergy! We caught this meal after a hard day of work. We both agreed that this place was underrated. The appetizers were great. The carpaccio was the best version of this dish I've had in a while. Salad course was memorable with the appropriate amount of anchovy flavor. Many places try to dumb down this dish for boring suburban palates. This place was full ahead and a perfect version of this dish. Filet and gnocchi was perfectly cooked. Same with halibut. Overall, this place is overrated. Went on a Wednesday night around 4:30pm. We were the ONLY customers - the restaurant opens at 3:00pm, but we wanted to be there before the dinner rush since we have a child and had read that they were not very child-friendly in the reviews. We have a very well-behaved, mature niece, and we love fresh pasta, so we weren't too worried. It's definitely not child-friendly. We were seated at the most uncomfortable table in the restaurant, right in front of the entrance to the bathrooms. Again - we were the ONLY CUSTOMERS in the restaurant! Generally if your restaurant has been open for an hour and a half and you have no other customers, you'd think to seat people by a window so as to draw in other customers, like oh, people are eating here! Let's try there! But apparently if you have a child in tow, you're not to be seen or heard in this restaurant. Additionally, a kid size spaghetti and meatballs plate is $13. Enough on the bad vibes - I would be willing to overlook all of this for amazing pasta. Unfortunately, we sat through this experience and overpaid for mediocre food. Appetizers - the focaccia - this should not be labeled as "focaccia" on the menu. This bread was dense, way too tight of a crumb to be a nice light and airy focaccia. Dry, hard, lacking in flavor and relied on sauces to dip. My family devours bread with no problems and appreciates complimentary bread. We unfortunately paid for this as an appetizer, and for the first time ever actually didn't finish the bread. Ordered the Mafaldine pasta based on the positive reviews of the pasta online. The menu does not list what type of noodle is in the pasta or if it is hand-made. I asked the server about the noodles - his description was "it's kind of a linguine. It's our take on a linguine Alfredo." I should have left then. Linguine Alfredo is not a dish, which anyone working in a pasta restaurant should be well aware of. The dish came. The noodles are more fettuccine style with crimped edges, and the dish also included tomato chunks, so very odd to have tomatoes with Brussels sprouts and pancetta in a cream sauce - especially when the tomatoes are also left out on the menu, so not sure if someone messed up on this dish in the kitchen. Also ordered a margherita pizza. Doubtful on the fresh mozzarella. Greasy, also flavorless like the focaccia. They did provide grated Parmesan for the table, which we heavily relied on for seasoning our own food. Would not return, very disappointing with the previous positive reviews of the food. read more

We are only in town visiting for 2 nights and feel so fortunate to have found this place our first night. 5 star fine dining level service and food with a not quite fine dining price tag- can't beat the value for money. You just really can't. It's affordable while also being an elevated experience. We started with the calamari and breads and spreads. The calamari is a filet of calamari, not the rings and tentacles I am used to. I may never be able to eat the rings etc again. The calamari filet was tender and flavorful and just delicious served with a bright, savory tomato sauce. The breads and spreads were equally delicious- bread served piping hot which perfectly melted the truffle butter or herb butter. We ate everything so quickly I didn't think to get photos. For dinner I had the Mafaldine pasta. Delicious fresh pasta in a slightly spicy cream sauce with shaved brussel sprouts, crispy pancetta, and roasted tomatoes. I would have a hard time ordering anything else on my next visit because this dish was perfection. Hit every note just right. Truly fantastic. My wife and I both agreed it was not a fresh taste. Unfortunately, I also ordered the Ciopenne before the mussels came out. The Ciopenne is made up of seafood that wasn't fresh. Despite this statement, we saw open tables throughout that remained for the duration of our stay. The service was on par, Really sweet waitress took care of our needs and we tipped her well. Food and atmosphere was average and minimum for what one should expect. Really loud and unpleasant though due to being very chaotic. In this area of grapevine, the bar is set high as there are many good places to eat that are all about the experience and know how to deliver. I think with a higher level of service and appreciation, the rating would have been higher. It's in a bad location and despite this, they finally drew us in and missed the mark. If you don't take care of you customers and make them feel welcome, don't worry, they go away. Reading many of the reviews it appears there is a pattern of rudeness with the tall male host who is actually owner. Wow! Really 4.5 stars. We tried this new local hot spot for the first time on a Saturday night. We rolled in about 6pm and by 6:15 the place was jumping. Completely packed with people waiting by 7pm. Food and service at the bar were great. We started with the Bread and Spreads starter followed by the pappardelle and the salmon. Both were excellent though the salmon was undercooked a bit for my wife's taste. We will be back for a pizza ASAP as they looked amazing. I've been here a few times with friends since I live in the building, it's so convenient. They have a great menu, the bar is a little weird... it's half seeing the kitchen and not really a bartender on scene, maybe it was an off night. Either way, the pizzas are good, the steak- filet mignon was yummy, the Burrata was nice, but I would've liked more balsamic, the shrimp with polenta was a favorite and their meatballs are good. They have a decent wine selection, some were out of stock, but all in all, I'll definitely be a regular living in the building. Looking forward to trying more dishes. read more

I had the arancini as an appetizer. This is made with a rice ball with cheese and herbs and fried. Sounds like a simple dish but it is hard to get just right. It was pretty good, I last had one in Florence Italy before the pandemic. I then had the pasta with tomato sauce and it was disappointing. The sauce did not have enough garlic and herbs. I was here with a few of my friends who are actually from Italy and they love Stellini. Food: We started out with the muscles which were oh so tasty. They come in a bowl of this really good sauce/soup with a side of really good bread that soaks it right up. We ordered enough bread between the four of us to soak up all of the juice. The muscles were perfect as well! I ordered the bone-in ribeye and it comes with this beautiful potato roll of sorts where they roll mashed potatoes into a thin crispy dough and then baked, OMG it's phenomenal! The steak came smothered with mushrooms and I was expecting this thing to be wonderful but even though not overcooked, it was still tough for some reason. I ate as much as I could and took the bone home for my pup [= The ladies all loved their meal and said they have never had a bad experience so I presume that the steak could have just been a one off. Service: Could have been a little better. We were there for late lunch and not very busy and for some reason we were never asked for our check and all had to get back to work so we just stood up and went to the bar. Not a huge deal and I don't hold it against anyone. I definitely will be back to try the other, more authentic dishes because they all looked so amazing. Hope y'all will try it out. Stopped by here for brunch after seeing bottomless mimosas on the menu, it's real! From the moment I walked in staff was warm and welcoming. Charles was very attentive behind the bar and kept an eye on my mimosa to keep it full, love that. The food menu for brunch is a little slim but I had a waffle with a side of scrambled eggs, good as expected. Crème brûlée was good flavor. That night our stomachs hurt we thought it was because the pizza. Had some left over pizza the next day and I just had a terrible stomach ache!!!! All day I had stomach pains and ended up throwing up all the food I had ingested. Even now I'm just able to recover from such a stomachache. Don't know if there was an ingredient left out and back in the fridge then served to customer or other bad food code. Then we were told they didn't allow strollers so we'd have to wake up our infant and hold her to eat..... ya no thank you. The doughnuts were the best and a great shareable dessert. I've been looking for a new Italian place and ai definitely found it!!! I did have one disappointment- bottle price $75 for Complicated Red Blend - my go to when on a restaurant menu $75 too high, other restaurants are 50-60 bucks. I had a couple of glasses of federalist at 12 each, good pours so I was satisfied but will miss my complicated and it was $20 a glass! Will come back for the $5 wine during HH. read more

We were excited to try this restaurant for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, it was a big miss. There appeared to be only one waitress for the whole restaurant, so service was very slow. She was definitely overwhelmed. The food was just not good. The lasagna had zero flavor and the sauce on it tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes was just poured over it. A few in our party got pizza and it had zero taste as well. They have a lot to work on here and I hope they can turn it around because the ambiance is at least nice. read more

To be completely honest / this global pandemic has taken me off my geographically desirable gourmand game, so imagine my true delight at finding the newest jewel of Grapevine gourmet Italian cuisine. It's Delicious / run don't walk / to STELLINI / this little star of awesomeness / that's how wonderful our dinner was. Pasta on point - my jumbo scallops with polenta were perfection. The restaurant's wine purveyor has serious game - as a self proclaimed wine aficionado - all my boxes were checked - great eclectic Sonoma, Napa & Paso wines in addition to some wonderful off the beaten path European, Australian & New Zealand selections are sure to please even the most discerning oenophile. They have sangrias, old fashions & various bespoke lemoncellos on tap as well. Service was wonderfully attentive & the desserts are superstars as well. Next time we will have some forethought and put down our forks and take a picture before we clean our plates! read more
