Called and cancelled the order as cold pizza is so not desirable. Pizza still showed up - 2 hours later and cold (as expected) and we tossed it. Steve's needs to better train their staff to be professional when answering the phones and to also not lie to people placing orders on realistic time frame. I've been here a few times and have had a nice experience. We've gotten the salad bar to start, which is made by the employee (due to Covid). The ingredients have been fresh and tasty, and they make their own ranch, which is a must. The pizza is tasty and has always come out perfectly cooked. They have the fun soda machines with the different soda flavors, which I love. We sat on the patio today, and they played fun 80s rock, which was great. Visited on a fairly busy night. As we were finding a seat, a lady who came in right after me placed her order. I placed my order next for dine in and waited. About 20-25 minutes have passed, and no sign of my order. The staff in kitchen had piled up 3-4 togo orders on top of the oven, so I started to wonder what is going on with my order. What really made me question the order status was that the lady I mentioned had already left with her togo order about 15 minutes ago by this point. So I walked up to the counter and asked for status, and the staff was like ah.. I don't know, what is your order?, and starts looking around. He comes back shortly and he doesn't know what is going on and does not seem to care. I asked for my money back and left. I ordered a family size half veggie and half pepperoni and when I picked it up it was half cheese half pepperoni. I told them about the mistake and they said they'd remake it; however, they ended up making me a medium veggie. They told me to keep the mess up pizza, but since they only remade the veggie, the pepperoni was cold when I got home. All three of us tried the cheese and we all thought it was gross.; it was bland, over cooked, and hardly any sauce. We don't even eat the whole slice. Ordered today because of all the reviews on Folsom Chat. Sadly, I won't be back. I love pizza, but the pizza I had today was flavorless. I ordered the Steve pizza and a pepperoni and bacon pizza. The pepperoni and bacon toppings were minimal. Bacon was only in the center of the pizza. The Steve pizza toppings were in the middle and didn't look as good as the pizza I saw on Folsom Chat. Both pizzas were flavorless and disappointing. The crust looked nice but again no flavor, along with the sauce and toppings. We enjoyed the patio on a recent afternoon. The pizza had a fabulous crust, very different than the national chains. It was delicious. I also enjoyed a trip to the salad bar. The ingredients were all fresh and allowed for a great salad. There was a large selection of non-traditional sodas from the fountain, which was a good fun for a non-drinker. I also had the cheesy bread, but there was so much garlic that they were inedible. The order of chicken wings had some wings so small, we pondered the species or age of the bird they came from, but they were tasty. One person had a concern with the accuracy of their tab at the bar which was not able to be answered due to lack of an itemized bill. I did not include that in my rating as I was not directly involved, I only mention it for awareness purposes. I would definitely keep this on my list of places to return to next time I am in Fulsom. read more

Ok so I feel like this place might get skewered after last nights fiasco. I want this review to be seen as constructive criticism for Steve's management. I placed my order at 6:00 pm for pick up. The person on the phone told me 30-35 minutes. No problem. I go there at about 6:30 to pick up my order. I walk in and it's chaos. There are about 10 people in front of me standing around. I finally determine most are waiting for their orders. Some are at the register with their numbers checking on their order. Others are sitting hopelessly at their tables tapping their fingers and hoping their order comes out next. Others at the bar hoping to catch a server who can give them a beer. The cashiers near the registers are trying to answer the phone, restock the salad bar and looking back at the kitchen trying to figure out what is happening. I know they stressed. But they are not trying to manage the front of the house. I make it past other people and pay for my order. He says they'll call my name when ready. I've got no idea if it will be 15 minutes or 45. I'm there for about 15 and people start asking for refunds. I finally get my pizza after 45 minutes of waiting. That's 1.25 hours after calling in my order! Now, I'm sensitive about the issues with restaurants hiring right now, so I am patient and kind to them. My constructive criticism is this: COMMUNICATE!! If they had told me that it was going to be an hour when I had called, fine. If they told me it was still going to be 45 minutes when I arrived, fine. I could have gone to the store and come back. They should have offered people a free soda, or a $5 coupon for the next time and apologized. We used to go to the EDH Steve's all the time until the service got so bad we stopped going. I hope this doesn't continue at the Folsom location because we do love their pizza. Again management...please have your employees communicate with the customers! I hope you have better luck hiring and training soon. read more

First and last time I go to this Steves. I've been to the Steve's Pizza in El Dorado Hills expecting the same quality and service but this is a far cry from that. If you love good solid pizza this place is great. Probably some of the best pizza I've had in Folsom on my top 5. The service is definitely top tier they have a laid back no not the fake friendly stuff you get at other restaurants. The location ist bad a little out of the way but it's worth the while. Ordered twice from Steve's Pizza in Folsom. Both times got my order wrong. First time I asked for the thick crust pizza, they sent me a thin crust pizza. They did send another pizza free of charge that was the correct one. Second order I asked for anchovies on the side with medium sauce on the pizza. Tried for our first tine today after a family member recommended. The wait was between 60-90 mins, and well worth the wait. We ordered a 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 veggie pizza that we both enjoyed. The crust is perfect, sauce is just tangy enough and the toppings were fresh and piled on thick. I had to deduct one star as our sodas were not delivered with our pizza, but they arrived 45 mins later with a huge apology. We stopped in today for lunch at Steve's new Folsom location; the gal at the counter was very welcoming & personable. We ordered a salad from the salad bar, which they must fix for you now, with everything we like on it; it was fresh & full of the items we asked for. We next had a medium pizza, 1/2 Mediterranean veg w/pesto sauce, and 1/2 Aloha with added peppers & onions. The medium seemed like a large, we ate plenty and had leftovers for the next day! The pizza crust was amazing, like fresh baked bread; crispy & browned outside, soft inside. And they didn't skimp on the toppings, either, a really great pizza.
