After…read morean early morning flight and not eating, I decided to come down to the hotel restaurant for lunch. I ordered the avocado and crab salad to eat and a blood orange margarita to drink. The salad was okay. A heaping serving of crab, with half an avocado on top and served on a bed of lettuce. So not the most complex of flavors, but it was fine. The margarita was a tad on the sweet side for me. The service was excellent. My server was friendly and attentive. He gave me a few recommendations for how to spend my time in Philly and was prompt with taking my order as well as bringing out the food (but given my description of my salad above, I would expect it to be easy prep and quick to come out). The ambiance was very nice. The hostess sat me at a window seat right next to the water. The view was gorgeous and a perfect solo lunch where I got to read my book and await for the wedding festivities. If I didn't stay at the hotel, I probably would not have gone out of my way to eat here, but it's a good option to have for vibes and drinks.

Great phone voice, by the way. We walked to the restaurant during the purported "heat dome" weekend. Fortunately, the air conditioning is pristine. We sat at the oyster bar and recommend you do so too. Our waiter was great. We should have caught his name but didn't. Either way, he was a real one. P spotted some absolute babe across the bar and asked our waiter what she was drinking. Important side note: attractive people dine here, but not in an intimidating way if you're a normie. Turns out it was a mocktail from the Zero Proof menu. We don't judge. Our waiter then turned us on to an OG move: order a mocktail and add booze. P got the Pink Drink and added vodka. J ordered a Bee's Knees and a Firing Squad. All above average. Anyway, we created an oyster flight and got two of each, working our way across the Eastern Seaboard. The house sauce was fantastic and incorporated some sort of onion and horseradish combination. We don't pretend to understand what that sorcery was, but keep doing it. Create your own GD oyster flight. You won't regret it. We also ordered some shrimp cocktail and shared the lobster roll sandwich. We forgot to take pics, but the generic photo attached is actually how it looks. Not a bad bite. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungover people who took IR Adderall before the walk. We lingered for a while and they don't push you out. Ended up ordering a couple IPAs. They started shucking oysters to prepare for the dinner crowd, which is neat to watch when you're on the spectrum like us. Also, the walls are covered in different oyster plates. We spent about 20 minutes discussing which one was our favorite. We landed on a green one. It's a real vibe lifter of a joint. Brought us back to life. 10/10.

Everything was fresh and well prepared, and we enjoyed being able to try a good variety of seafood. It was a solid dinner and a good stop during our trip. We would definitely consider coming back the next time we're in Philadelphia.

We chose the $45 A Taste of Positano menu. I went with the Meatballs & Ricotta, which were tender, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of sauce. My cousin ordered the Spicy Fried Calamari and apparently has a much higher spice tolerance than I do because she ate it like it wasn't spicy at all! We both ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese, and this was the standout dish for me. The short rib and steak ragù was rich, meaty, flavorful, and topped with just enough Parmigiano. It was also HEAVY -- I couldn't finish it, which says a lot because the portion was from the tasting menu. I'm honestly curious what the full-size entrée looks like! We finished with the Tiramisu, which was wonderfully classic. The cocktails were another adventure. Millions of Peaches was STRONG, The Process tasted like sparkling fruit punch and ended up being my favorite, and Hot Girl Summer had a sneaky habanero kick on the backend. Our waiter was great and even told us to ask for him when we return because he'd take care of our first round of drinks. That's the kind of personal touch that makes you want to come back. We had excellent food, fun cocktails, great cousin time, and a memorable night overall. Four stars from me, with a definite return visit in my future.

I had the scallops they gave you three scallops with some peas. It was good nothing outstanding on that. My friend had a crabcake. It was quite unique. She said it was delicious. Also a drink and they gave you complementary bread and we split a fennel and arugula salad. The waiter was very helpful, professional High moderate too expensive They do have indoor and outdoor seating a big bar area.

Oddly I wanted a lobster roll with out the roll but still went with the soup anyway. But, he said he could do that. The soup was pretty good. We do not get a lobster roll when we visited. After driving around for 20 minutes to find parking I called and they had not received my order. Uber Eats or Door Dash must be the preferred. Or call! Anywho, Uber Eats delivered. It was cold. I don't believe the other lobsters rolls I had were cold. These were and still good. Maybe they are warm if you pick up ‍ They give ample portions and the butter is on the side. Three ramekins! One for each roll. I only needed one for all three. Note to self: always ask for butter on side. The shrimp roll was packed. Thankful because the baby shrimp were baby. The lobster roll was about 1 claws worth. It was the crab that shocked me. Overflowing with crab meat. Everything was fresh. The bread was soft and buttered. I didn't taste much 'seasoning' it was well 'flavored' and covered in oregano (?) I would return. It's a cute little spot that is in the basement of a building. I didn't go in, I know the area well. Next to Sofitel. Hard to find parking
