My 18 year old daughter was in a panic when her 2009 Mazda 3 would not start. I did the normal troubleshooting checking the battery and fuses. At that point I was pretty sure it was a dead starter. Contacted Steve's Mobile Auto Care late Friday Oct 2nd. There first availability was Monday Oct 5th at 9:30am. Steve has helped me out several times. Most recently I got a little too close to a highway construction barrel and snapped my mirror off. Steve was able to meet me on his way to another job about 15 min later to zip-tie my mirror in place temporarily and see what parts he needed to order. I was quoted almost $1,000 for a fix on my car. Steve was recommended by a friend so I called him up to get a second opinion. He let me know where to pick up the part ($208) and that he would charge 1 hour for install unless anything crazy popped up. He came to my apartment, swapped it out faster then I can do dishes, cleaned the battery, then made sure everything worked properly. It ended up costing me 1/3 the other guys price, I didn't have to get it towed to a shop, and he was a super nice down to earth guy. On top of all that, he's an independent mechanic doing it all on his own! He was able to fix my car up with a temporary (but longer-term) solution that didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
