I placed an order two weeks ago for pickup around the corner and it was another disappointing experience. My wife ordered a meatball sub, Onion Rings, and I ordered my usual, a Hitman's delight, with hoagie sauce and fried hot peppers and onions. For those of you who don't know.. If you order one from Avenue Pizza, LaNova's or anywhere else in Buffalo, you get a sub roll with hot ham, capicola, salami and Italian sausage patties with fried veggies and cheese and hoagie sauce. My wife's order was done properly, but my sandwich came dry, without sauce, and no ham or salami and barely any veggies or cheese and cut in 1/3 and 2/3's that looked like it was cut with the flat of the knife. I ate part of the sub and the soggy, greasy onion rings and threw the rest in the trash. I've worked PT in restaurants, and just mentioned two of them, and I know how serious the competition and margins are, and food quality is top of the list, because if someone's paying reasonable prices for a reasonably superior product, you expect the order to be correct. Honestly, we could have gotten better subs at Subway for a lot less. This is the third time in 3 years we've gotten bad orders that were bad due to carelessness. My standards are high, but fair. My old boss, Danny at Just Pizza used to say, "The Restaurant Biz in Buffalo is cutthroat and if you're not giving the customer the satisfaction they paid for, you'll be out of business within a year." I heard this place was under new ownership and decided to try it. I was not disappointed. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had, not just in Western New York. So far I've tried the cheese, pepperoni and white pizzas. All three were excellent but I think the white pizza was definitely my favorite. The one thing that is most noticeable is how good the dough is. Most American pizzas don't have dough good enough to notice the taste, it's just something you chew. This dough is amazing and is as good as any dough I've had in Italy. The rest of the ingredients are of equally high quality. The traditional sauce is delicious with just the right balance of herbs. The mozzarella cheese, which is my favorite ingredient, is rich and plentiful. Lastly, considering how the cost of everything has increased so much in the last few years, I think the prices are reasonable. My family will be ordering from this place exclusively anytime we want pizza in Western New York. read more

Dinner tonight was pretty good. As you know I love my chicken fingers. I decided on garlic parm chicken fingers. They were good but pretty dinky in size. The size of them I was disappointed in but oh well, what can you do?? The perk though is they gave me like 7 of them. We also got a meat lovers pizza. Have been coming to this pizzeria since it opened and has yet to disappoint! They offer sweet and traditional red sauce for your pizza and I'm telling you that the sweet sauce is what's up! It's more of a newyork style crust and ALWAYS taste so fresh!!! This time around I tried the wings FROM THE PIT..which costs a little more but well worth it!!! The wings were quite large and very meaty. Also that extra char is everything! After all these years still remains my favorite spot for pizza! Everyone needs to have the stevie v's experience!!! Stevie Ray Vaughan opened this place a long time ago, but the name "Stevie's RVs" confused everyone, who would show up hoping to buy a Winnebago, only to find that it was just a bunch of f***ing pizza slices. I came here on the advice of Justin M (who told me never to come here, and to convince the owner to move to Hawaii and open a Tiki Bar instead), and I ordered a slice. I had just tried Pizza Oven of Lockport for the first time, and speaking of first times, did you know I was actually 9 years old? Not even kidding. So back to the pizza. I sprinkled a bunch of the spices on it and gave it a nice big... bite. I thought it was really good. The only problem is, it was uber-sweet like all of the pizza in Lockport seems to be. I liked it more than Frankie's, maybe not quite as much as Pizza Oven which was wetter. It was a bit congealed and old, if it was fresher I might have liked it more. The pepperoni was different... softer, not crispy... a little fake maybe, more like salami, but good. One thing I will say is that the owner assured me "it's a sweet slice, we only have the sweet kind as slices right now, is that okay." In other words, they also make a savoury slice... which I would probably like a lot more, and will try next time. It certainly wasn't the best slice I've had and was a little dry and syrupy sweet like Strawberry Jam (though not as much as Pizza Oven or Frankie's), but with all the herbs and spices sprinkled on it, I did enjoy it and will give it a healthy 4. This rating is based only on the slice, and I'll try their savoury version next time I'm in town. And you can not, I repeat, you can not buy an RV here. Unless you're Justin M. He can buy anything he wants anywhere he wants. He once went into my Uncle's Paint Shop and bought a Cauliflower. Seriously. What a man. read more

Stevie V's Pizzeria - a slice of pepperoni pizza - Pizza Near Me - Lockport, New York

To celebrate my buddy's birthday, we ordered pizza from Stevie V's Pizzeria and had a great experience! On a Saturday, I called around 12:15pm and placed an order for pickup at 4:30pm later that day. The gentleman who answered was incredibly friendly and double-checked that he took the order correctly. When I arrived around 4:30pm later, I was greeted by a nice woman and my order was hot and ready. All-in-all, a great customer service experience and no issues ordering or picking up the pizza! Onto the pizza, I ordered one sheet (24 squares) with their Traditional red sauce and one half cheese, the other half cheese/pepperoni, along with a small (12", eight slice) pizza with Sweet red sauce and mushrooms. My buddy summed it up perfectly in that it reminded me of Mark's Pizza back in their hey-day. The crust is not Buffalo-style but I wouldn't call it NYC-style either - not too thick or too thin, the right amount of chew on the under-crust with a nice edge that isn't crunchy, like a cracker. The cheese and cheese/pepperoni have that glorious grease on top that pools a little, just like how Mark's Pizza used to. Now, living in Buffalo, I have a soft spot for sweet red sauce, but if I can be honest, I preferred Stevie V's Traditional red sauce this time around! Not that I did not like their take on sweet red sauce, but to me, it was a tad bit too sweet. But it was nice to see on both pizzas that they laid on the toppings generously too. This was plenty of food for six people and the prices were pretty reasonable. All-in-all, I was very surprised and impressed with Stevie V's Pizzeria! I had a great overall experience here and enjoyed their Traditional red sauce. I will not hesitate to order pizza from here again when I'm in Lockport. No pictures this time around, but next time I'll snap a few! :) read more

Pretty solid and consistent pizza place in Lockport. They offer sweet and traditional sauces and both are pretty good. I guess my only complaint would be that their pepperoni is the basic thin type. Good for the kids but I like thicker cut, cup and char pepperoni. Tuesday they have a deal on pizzas $14 for a XL cheese and pepperoni. Good wings too. If you're into trying different kinds of wings I recommend the Thai chili, sweet and spicy! Slightly amusing story- a few years ago I picked up a pie from here and they had run out of pizza boxes. So they borrowed some from a competing pizzeria Molinaros which has their name on the lid. read more

Wish we knew what has happened to Stevie V's since Stevie passed away and it was sold. It has gone way down hill! Ordered a 12" pizza with traditional sauce, pepperoni and onions. Asked for it to be well done and onions on the whole pizza. Also ordered 10 Wings Mild. Where do I start?? The pizza was no where near well done-even a little doughy in spots. Only onions, that we paid an extra $2 for ( a rip off!) on half of the pizza! Very disappointed with the pizza-second time this has happened! As for the wings-barely any sauce on them. All you tasted was chicken and no sauce. It is sad that a place we used to order from all the time that had my favorite pizza has gotten so bad! We ordered from here on 11/21. We picked up our food and our pizza was not ready. Normally, no big deal. While waiting for the pizza, a customer came in and did not have a mask. I really don't understand how you can not have a mask 8 months into the pandemic. Of course that person's food was not ready and she decided to wait inside. Not once did an employee say or do anything. When my pizza was ready they grabbed the rest of my food that had been sitting on the counter for at least the 15 minutes I had to wait. Picked up the usual pepperoni and cheese tonight. I gotta say, this pizza was pretty good! You can tell some care and effort was put into the dough. It's got a nice thin, crusty outer layer that has a good bite to it. The inside is slightly airy which was a nice surprise. The regular sauce is well balanced and had just a hint of sweetness which paired well with the pepperoni and cheese. Will definitely get this again. read more

Most pizza in the Buffalo area is medium level thickness. Stevie V's is one of the few places where you can find the thinner crust pizza, although not as thin as the kind you might find in New York or New Haven. In any event, the pizza has a nice char on the crust and is very good tasting. We get mostly the pizza - actually, that is all we have had - so I can't comment on the other food. I can echo DF's comments on the staff. They are a very friendly crew even in the midst of a busy time making pizzas and other food, which seems to be the case whenever I go there. They get the food to you quickly and are quite nice as well. A good local place to spend your money on. read more

If you feel like coming out of your comfort zone, I would recommend the white pizza, it's delicious! Really rude people. Hung up on me as I asked for the price of our food. My food is always cold after getting it. They only care about their money. Do not order mozzarella sticks they're always so cold. Wings never have any flavor and are always dry same with the chicken wings. I'm leaning more towards 3.5 stars, but since that isn't an option, I'm rounding up to 4. We just moved to Lockport and while doing some work on our new house, decided that it was the perfect night to try out the pizza place down the street. (It's seriously 5 minutes from driveway to driveway- so convenient!) Even though it's so close, we opted to have our order delivered. I ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza with a side of garlic knots and 20 wings. The girl on the phone was nice and very patient while I deliberated with the guys on whether we wanted regular sauce or sweet. (We chose sweet.) She then told me it would be an hour and a half or longer until the food would come. Yikes... I didn't tell that to my hungry family... I figured we'd just roll with it. Didn't want them to kill the messenger! About an hour later, the food arrived at our door, much better than the predicted time, thankfully! The delivery guy was polite. The pizza is not what we're familiar with from our "old" local pizzeria, but I found it to be quite good still. The sweet sauce is delicious! The pizza itself was quite thinner than what we normally like, which disappointed us a bit. The garlic knots are SUPER garlicky. Brush your teeth or chew gum after you eat them or you may wonder why no one is coming closer than 5 feet from you. The wings were quite crispy, which we really like, but they swam in grease instead of sauce. We like good, saucy wings, but these were just plain greasy and didn't have a lot of flavor. Being that it's so close to our house, I feel like we will be ordering from them again, but not before we check out some other local restaurants first. Best steak sub in the country!!!!! I have had steak subs from NYC to Philly down to FL and out to Cally. I have been eating Stevie's subs for 20 + year's. Even before he opened Stevie Vs. When he was working at the old sub place in the mall. They take much pride in everything they do. And his heart is in delivering his customers the absolute best product he can. I don't know why everyone is saying Stevie V's has a thin crust. I have to specifically ask for a thin crust and then it comes out the same thickness as any other crust. If I don't ask for a thin crust pizza, then the crust is ridiculously thick. That being said, if I order the thin crust and the sweet sauce, the pizza is pretty damn good. Their wings are hit and miss on whether they've been cooked long enough or too long. They used to have Teriyaki sauce, which was amazing on the wings but they discontinued it. Their garlic parm wings can be terrific if they're not too dry...and often they are. But they're still good. The loaded smashed potatoes are pretty awesome. Not sure if we've ever ordered anything else from them. My complaint comes when the order isn't done right. They screwed up a sheet pizza and offered to fix it by giving me HALF a sheet of pizza...and that's after I had to complain. I had to raise hell before they'd replace the entire pizza. They have been known to be chintzy sometimes with the toppings or overcook the pizza. Yes, things happen. I've still ordered from them more times than I can remember, though I'm probably going to start going somewhere else because their customer service when there is a problem sucks. I've had other issues arise with them that should've been an easy, simple solution that wouldn't have hurt them and made me happy as the customer, but apparently there they're more concerned with being right than being successful. read more

Not being from the Buffalo area, i thought my wife was nuts when she told me one night that she was craving sweet sauce pizza. Sweet sauce? What? However, she quickly proved to me that it's a real thing and i am now a fellow member of the sweet sauce club. Stevie V's is one of her favorites, being from Lockport. They offer both regular and sweet sauce for their pizza, but sweet is definitely the way to go. It's a total game changer. She also convinced me to try the garlic knots. Praised be, these things are amazing. They are huge, covered in garlicy cheesy chunks, and served in a box with a butter sauce that you just have to dip them in. They are so soft and fresh tasting. Mind, blown. Stevie V's is hidden gem in a little strip mall type setting in Lockport, but it should not be overlooked! read more

I've ordered from Stevie V'd a few times. I don't "love" their pizza but it's the only nearby place that delivers so I deal with it. I would normally have given it four stars because it's okay. Just "okay". I'm not a huge fan of how thin their pizza is and the pepperoni that they use. Tonight I ordered a chicken finger pizza for delivery. I was told it would be an hour. Pizza took an hour and fifteen minutes on a Tuesday and was delivered at room temperature. Delivery guy was pleasant but never acknowledged that he was late. Tried the pizza and it was pretty horrible. Salty, dry, and tasted like there was basically no hot sauce at all! It was a pretty sad pizza. I will never order it again. read more

Stevie's has good pizza and decent subs. I know there has been some management changes going on, but when Stevie or his son are there, things seem to go decently. Wish the steak was a little higher quality on the steak subs, but it's not bad. The stinger is pretty good. The Turkey BLT was good too, but the last time I got it the turkey was different and the veggies weren't so fresh. I still love the place though. The pizza is the best in Lockport. read more
