This review is for online ordering from this company. If you love almonds you must try this almond orchard out. They have a huge selection of both savory and sweet flavors. My favorite is their "Bloody Mary" almonds. They are so addicting I always have to keep some on hand. BBQ, mesquite, and maple are other favorites. I've tried all their flavors and the only one I didn't care for was the Asiago. I usually avoid sweets but they have a "Taco Truck" brittle that's like crack. Strawberries and cream are amazing too! Only reason I cannot give 5 stars is their customer service. It's non existent. I had an issue with my order and could not get any help. I emailed everyone listed on their website, I tried the "contact us" section on their website, and called. Zero luck. So instead I wrote a 1 star review on their website for the product and the owner contacted me same day. He resolved my issue yet deleted my review. That means their reviews are selective but I can honestly say 90% of their products are 5 stars. Give these guys a shot. Great prices, great products, bad customer service! Perfect for Christmas too. EVERYTHING IS SPECTACULAR!!! I have been here several times & each & every time the staff are very welcoming, extremely helpful. I have purchased several personalized gift baskets w/ the assistance of the ladies working there, there expertise in putting together the items, they are knowledgeable of the items & will put the finishing touch on the gift. The store is very clean, they have yummy samples, YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG! You cannot walk out of the store w/ out purchasing the buttery twists pretzels!!!! :) read more

We have been here several times and plan on going back. Occasionally they have a singer for you to enjoy while you drink in the wine bar. We also buy several gift baskets for holiday gifts. I have been here several times before, but this is the first time I've really felt compelled to leave a review. First, I love the wines, nuts, dried fruits and jams that are available for purchase in the shop, but today I stopped in to grade some student tests with a flight of wine (because you know... teaching!) :-D Toni was quick to greet and provide insight on available options, and was incredibly personable throughout my evening here. Great place for gift baskets & wine, even tasting/eating in their cozy lounge. I love to visit this place when I need to pick up a gift. I can relax after a stressful day, taste some wine, and pick up a gift basket. You pay at the register in the retail area, thankful they take credit cards for no fee, and it gives you the option to leave a tip. I try to remember cash to tip the server at the bar lounge area, otherwise you have to select custom tip in the credit card system, as it is set with automatic percentages, a lot of the time I'm buying items from the retail side. Great atmosphere. It's a nice little Wine Lounge with nuts and dried fruits and different types of chocolates along with your favorite wine. I enjoy the atmosphere and just relaxing there. Very nice place to have a nice drink or two and enjoy perhaps some dried fruit or nuts or both. read more

We had a good time at the Rombauer wine tasting event at Stewart Jasper. I just wish that either they had more seating or would sell less tickets to the event. I believe they said they had sold 60 tickets for that evening and I believe they only had about 15 seats. The store just doesn't have much room to stand around in especially when people are walking around looking at all the goodies they sell as well. Overall it was a pretty good experience, staff was very friendly. They have some wonderful products for sale in the store. The wine selection is really good and the price points of the wine are great as well. read more

Went in last evening for tasting. Several people at the bar were drunk And loud and rude. The staff did nothing. Period. They had the patio open and the drunk people stood outside smoking and came back in and repeatedly were doing the same. So.. I did not expect this from such a great spot I'd been to before. Next time camp 4... at least you know what your getting. Sad .. I really like this place. I'll give it negative one. Today was one of those days when I actually got to leave work on time. While visiting one of my favorite stores, I noticed a new store just a few doors down. Stewart & Jasper Orchards Company Store in Modesto is a new specialty food store to Modesto. The store features dried fruits, flavored and plain almonds, as well as lots of specialty sauces and dips. All of these food items are located on the left side of the store. If you need a quick gift that is local in origin, this would be a good place to take a peek. On the right side of the store I noticed a nice selection of wines as well as a wine bar and several chairs and tables. The sales clerk informed me that they do wine tasting or you can purchase a bottle to enjoy in the shop. They have a wine specialist who is in the shop Wednesday-Saturday from 12:00-closing (late afternoonish). I would like to go back for a wine tasting sesh when the wine specialist is on site. read more

I stopped in for a glass of wine - left with a headache. For the 2nd time that I have been there , they have allowed the same customer to sit at the bar, use the most foul language imaginable, in as loud a voice as possible , and use the most offensive slurs. Two ladies who were enjoying a glass of wine, asked him to please keep it down and he responded by verbally attacking them. The lady who was trying to wait on customers says that he is in their regularly, and is always offensive but she isn't able to do anything about it. I will not be going back anytime soon - I want to enjoy my wine without listening to a loud tirade of "F... this" and "F.. you's". I doubt that the other ladies who were verbally attacked will be back either. To bad because its a nice store with a nice selection of wine. read more

Wine tasting night is a pleasure. The tasting is fee is at the higher ($15) but they are generous with knowledgeable representatives. Not a complain rather a suggestion would be cheese plate at the tasting area. I' ve been to 3 tastings and definitely will go again. Stopped in here again today to get a refill of my favorite dipping/spread Onion Blossom Horseradish sauce. This stuff is great. I use it on just about everything. Works best on burgers. Makes steaks taste much better. I even used it on a grilled cheese and it was WOW. There hours right now have changed. They close at 6:00pm. Wine tasting hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00AM to 6:00PM. You can also get wine by the glass. They have a very nice lounge area for you to enjoy a nice glass of wine. They have some of the finest wines in stock. For example they have a Fess Parker 2008 Pinot Noir which is absolutely divine. Hey, why go all the way to Murphys to taste wine when you can do it right here in Modesto. Sure hope there business picks up would hate to see them fold up and leave. This is a great store they have all kinds of snacks, dipping sauces, marinades etc. Go check them out. You won't be sorry. 5 stars and guess what? You got it. 5 Thumbs up read more

This place has a great assortment of fruit & nut gifts, and also a very nice wine collection. They have a counter for wine tastings, and you can order cheese plates to go with your wine. The flights can be a little high, but the portion size is very generous so it works out. read more

I stop in to the Modesto location once a month as they have a featured winery in there for a tasting event. The features are usually very good (Jermey, Rombauer, Chronic Cellars, Tank Garage, Cass to name a few) and they serve some crackers, cheese etc. as well. Typically costs around $15 but you get healthy pours and you can interact with the vineyard owner and/or distributors rep. They also have a great selection of nuts, oils, gift baskets, wine by the bottle and even a wine tasting bar that you can visit daily! read more

I waited to write this review because when this incident first occurred I was very angry and I didn't want that to be the tone of my review. I visited this establishment on Saturday, June 22 with my son and his wife who were visiting from Atlanta. We ordered wine, bought a couple food items, paid for them and sat and drank our wine. Every seat was taken. Upon leaving there was a shift change and the waitress stopped me and said, "hey, did you pay?" I told her we did and she said she thought we had another drink. I told her we did not and showed her my receipt at which point she still argued with me in front of everyone! Then I told her that as a matter of fact I thought we were overcharged because we had two of the small glasses of wine and we were charged for the larger (I believe 6oz) glasses. Then she proceeded to get an empty glass and wanted me to point to where the glasses were filled. I did and she said that's the large glass. But I know there's no way it was. My point is to be humiliated like this at ANY public establishment is beyond unaccceptable. My anger has subsided because I realize the person waiting on me obviously lacked the experience and knowledge to deal with customers in a respectful way. I would advise that the waitresses are trained to be respectful. Every Christmas I would purchase nuts and other food items for gifts and always recommended this store. I would never buy anything here again nor would I recommend it. It is a classless establishment, unfortunately. read more

I have been here several time to do wine flights. Keep trying to enjoy the atmosphere but again a disappointment Came in sat down only one person at the bar. The person working proceeded not to acknowledge us. Continued what seemed like a person conversation. After 10 min she did ask what we wanted. Had flight no explaining what was being served. Went back to personal conversations about therapy and how management didn't listen to her. Overall I have no idea how this will last it's a shame because they have a wonderful idea and location. read more

I've been here a few times for the monthly featured wine flight night, one was Jeremy Wine Co, one was Prie, and the other was Textbook Vineyards. I love that I can drive 15 mins from home, taste great wine and eat delicious snacks for under $15, and visit with friends on the couches or patio. Don't get me wrong, I love Downtown Lodi (DoLo) for wine, but this is the best thing here when you want to wine taste. I always find a new wine and a new snack to fall in love with when I visit. I had found a wine that I had been looking for for several years and had not found anywhere else in the Modesto area. The price point was right as well. I absolutely love this place. It has two amazing sides. The delicious food side that literally EVERYTHING is amazing. My faves are the apricot pepper almonds & horseradish pretzel dip. Then after that you can go to the other side where you can taste any wine they have open, which is quiet a few and they change them all the time. It's seriously such a cool idea!! I went with my friends to the Friday night Rombauer tasting event. We all had the best time thanks to all the great staff working there. The wine was amazing of course. The staff were delightful and very knowledgeable answering all our questions. They offered us great discounts on the wines that night as well. There were lots of delicious appetizers being served all night long which featured the products they sell there in the store. It gave all of us a chance to sample them and by the end of the night we all bought several bottles of wine and many of the products they served. We are so glad we found this place. You have the best wines and so many great products, at the best prices as well as a helpful, courteous staff who we think did an amazing job that night that we had to tell everyone. I attended the Stewart & Jasper's Chardonnay "Throwdown" Blindtasting event in Mchenry Village in July. The event brought in a big crowd each one ready to test their wine skills to see if they could pick out each of the 5 best chardonnays in the store being pouring that night. At the end of the evening there was a raffle and the winner was given a free bottle of wine of their choice!!!. Wow, can't wait for the next event. Danger - -stay away from this place if you can't resist a huge variety of delicious treats in bags.
