Very disappointed. I've never written a one-star review before and I hate to write one for this location because it seems like a very nice establishment and the staff is very friendly. However, how does a breakfast place mess up pancakes! They were very thin came out yellow and tasted as if they were mixed with too much oil or butter and the blueberries which were very few seemed like they were from a can. I ordered a side of home fries and they came out lukewarm cold in one minute and had zero flavor to them. The Establishment was busy and I was starving so I did not want to send it back and wait for something else nor did I want to try anything else, I left still hungry :( I don't believe I will attempt to try this place again, for I already feel like I was robbed of $8 (I know, not much compared to other places, but I bet McDonald's serve better pancakes) read more

This place was very good. Chicken and waffles were excellent. It would have been 5 stars but my son thought the waffles were too bready and not crispy enough. Fun & Cute Place! There was a line so I figured the food would be good. The Owner(s)/Managers were friendly and stopped by each table to check in. It was crowded when I arrived and I was worried about being able to get a chair/table, but their staff turned tables fast. The Manager/Owner saw my coffee was low and offered me a cup fast. I had pancakes - which were delicious. It was a positive experience and I would recommend my friends check them out! read more

This place not only has great food, but it has even better service. I can't say enough about how accommodating the staff is. They're always friendly and I can tell the owners put a lot of thought into their business. The managers walk around and make sure that your meal and experience are 100%. I have liked nearly everything that I've ordered. It can add up quickly, but you get freshly made food every time and the portions are generous. Quite easily one of my favorite brunch spots in town! I always enjoy the French toast off the menu as well as their selection of teas (hot or iced). The barista, Ethan, is always there to greet you with friendly service and beautiful latte art. They have a great menu with a lot of variety, lots of coffee flavors, and a great atmosphere unique to wake forest. Brad and his wife "The Stewart's" have created such a nice spot for breakfast and lunch. While visiting Wake Forest we decided to try them for Sunday breakfast. The simple coffee shop decor is warm and welcoming. The tables are all hand-made from palettes, very cool and the beautiful floor to ceiling brick wall really makes a statement. The warm and friendly staff have great menu knowledge and make a great cup of coffee and lattes! The menu is small and they do it very well. I had the home-made chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I'm giving the lunch 2 stars. It was our first time there, so maybe it was an off day. I ordered the Angus burger. The burger was dry and basically burnt and the toppings weren't fresh. The bun was perfect though and the fries were ok. My husband ordered the Ruben sandwich and he said the meat was very tough, to the point of it being hard to bite through. The service wasn't great either. After we received our food, we didn't see our waiter again until the check came. We both ran out of drinks and had to get up and ask for refills. However, we will be back to try the breakfast. The biscuits look homemade so I think a breakfast sandwich would be a good choice. I'll review this place again once we try it, and hopefully be able to rate it higher than this one. read more

Friendly, comfy, great food and close to my parents' house. Awesome selection of loose leaf tea! Tried the french toast to share and the veggie omelette with home fries. Huge plate of bacon for my parents and my baby. Tried a quarter of gf's waffle. YUM! Not sure which is better - the french toast or waffle - both were great. Dad had a big plate of eggs with meat and home fries. Mom and baby had HUGE pancakes. The last time we tried to eat here, the line was too long. So glad we lucked out and got a table for 5. Love this place! It has become one of my "go to" meeting spots, and bonus, the breakfast is awesome! This isn't just a little coffee shop, which is what I thought it would be. They have awesome coffee and lattes, but they also have a super yum way of "breaking the fast"! Tons of food for the price you pay! I am a big fan of the veggie omelette, but also love their quinoa. It's a cozy little place to start your day, have a nice break from your midday, or have some coffee and a meeting. A great breakfast nook is EXACTLY what Heritage needed. After seeing several businesses go in and out of this location, I was a little concerned for the Stewart family when they opened this place. My concerns were unfounded. NEVER a bad meal at Stewarts Bistro. The wait to order can be a little long due to their point of sale system having to deal with so many options, especially if the person in front of you is ordering some fru fru coffee drink. Maybe a note and pad system might be quicker. But when the food comes out, it's phenomenal. A++ read more

I kept hearing about this place so I wanted to check it out with my mom. We went for lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad and my mom got the chicken salad croissant with onion rings. We both got coffees. She got the Macchiato and I got the cappuccino. The onion rings were good and the coffee was descent. But I honestly have no clue why people rave about this place so much. The service was great, the owner came by and asked us how we were doing but the food is very mediocre. I could of made a better chicken sandwich at home. I've noticed a lot of the bistro/sandwich shops around the WF area aren't real shops. I have yet to go to one that is spectacular. I think a lot of the people who rave aren't foodies and have basic taste buds. There is no way anyone who is a true foodie would think otherwise. I'm hoping I just came on a bad day and that their breakfast is a lot better. I may try them for breakfast another day but it is doubtful. read more

Had this in my bookmarks for a while as a breakfast option. The atmosphere is cozy and tucked away. I think we were keeping the order taker from his break but luckily another employee/manager greeted us with a warm smile. The food was presented beautifully but was just ok. It was lacking the 'yum' factor I was looking for. I couldn't get anything to taste delicious no matter how I dressed it up with condiments which generally isn't a good sign. My wife and I came here after church for brunch. She order the sunrise special and I order the "your way omelet". Although we waited for a while for our food and a open table; we could see the owner and the staff were working hard assisting the clients and getting the orders out. If you have a whole section for paninis on your menu, you would think it would be a pretty good sandwich, right? Not the case. Had to pay extra for lettuce and tomato (??) that was literally one piece of lettuce torn in half and thrown on the bread, the tomatoes were old and not sliced they were quartered (???) so they wouldn't stay on the bread, there was nothing in the middle (like cheese) to keep it together so it was just 4 sloppy halves of warm turkey and bread. I ordered it so I could hold it nicely and get back to work, but it never stayed together (wish I took a pic when I first got it because they couldn't make it stay together either). Gross and took 20 min to literally throw it together. Wish there was something else that could go in this prime location that also has better hours. read more
