Our crew went fishing today and caught a nice sized mahi mahi. Our local friend recommended this restaurant to cook our catch since his restaurant is closed on Mondays. They prepared it three ways for us and was very good. Margarita with house tequila was very good as well. read more

The name suggests you get wings, but don't. This place is right next to the Marina, you know, where they catch fish so... Order the Marlin tacos. You're welcome. Oh.Em.Gee. I don't know what they put in their Marlin tacos but they are the most flavorful tacos I've had in a long time!!! The regular fish tacos (Mahi) are okay, kind of bland and flavorless after tasting the Marlin taco. And sure the owner will yell at people walking by telling them "if you don't like my food you don't pay" but I haven't heard any degradations of anyone as other reviews suggested. I can't blame him, it's their only way to market other than reviews online. The food is fresh from the ocean, flavorful, delicious. And the service is exceptional; our server was very attentive and helpful. The margaritas are refreshing and have a nice tartness too them; not loaded with tons of sugar -- you can actually taste lime! If you don't stop here on your trip to Puerto Vallarta, you're missing out and doing yourself a disservice. read more

I have been going to this place for some time. I never review the check, I just pay the bill and add a 20% tip. The food is good for the price. The other day I took some new friends there for dinner. Not wanting to just split the bill in half (one person didn't drink alcohol) I decided to split it base on what each couple had. To my surprise the bill included extra margaritas and beer. Not only that the prices in the menu were a lot less than what we were being charged! All in all about 600 pesos. The server (who know me from past visits) was upset with us. He took the bill and later came back and yelled "just pay what you want". I told him not to be angry with us because of his mistakes. Now I see others have had the same problem at this restaurant. My family's rule is to only visit a new place once in hopes of getting out and about and we broke our rule here. I can't tell you how much of a big deal that is. It's loud and funny and the waitstaff is affectionate and kind. You get lots of little freebies, depending on the day. An after dinner shot of Almond Love tequila is common. They got a 1 star only because I could not give them a 0. We were served chips and salsa right away. The only problem was that the salsa came from another table. The dish it was served in was dirty and had a used toothpick. The waiter had the nerve to tell us it was a fresh serving as if we were complete idiots. This would be enough for me to have walked out but my friends wanted to stay because they had a mariachi band playing. I was enjoying the music also. Unfortunately, the kitchen was managed as poorly as the the front of the house. I ordered the most simplistic thing on the menu - chicken enchiladas. The beans were ice cold and the chicken was undercooked. There are not many things that are worse than under cooked chicken in my opinion. The third and final straw was that they delivered an order for another member of our party but it was not exactly as he had requested it and they didn't offer fix it. We had spent more than 40 mins waiting for our food and could not have been more underwhelmed by their service or food. If you are looking for the worst place in Puerto Vallarta, look no further. read more

My wife and I were walking the marina when a nice gentleman approached us to tell us about his restaurant's fresh seafood and ingredients to make anything we may want not on the menu. We decided to give it a try. We both enjoyed the chips and salsa while waiting for our snapper with vegetables and skirt steak. The snapper tasted more like fish than fresh. The skirt steak was more like a smashed meat loaf. We shared a bit of our meals. Later that night, we spent the next day incapacitated with vomiting and diarrhea followed by the worst body aches and sweats ever. Three friends and I found ourselves in the Marina on a Monday night during the off-season in PVR. Many of the go-to places on the Marina were closed. One of my friends spotted a place called Brando's across the Marina, with a sign that said 'seafood' and 'Mexican food,' so we made our way over. Once we got to where we were going we were greeted by a very aggressive restaurant owner who ushered us into what we (mistakenly) thought was Brando's. It wasn't until we had ordered beers and guacamole that we realized we were not, in fact, at Brando's, but were instead at Sticky Fingers. At this point, we decided to give Sticky Fingers a chance. One of my friends summed the food here up pretty well: "Edible, but not good." The guacamole was pretty average and the entrees were okay. We found some noodles in our rice and another friend got some pretty shady octopus. I would give this place a zero star if I could. the owner is overly aggressive and if you ignore him while he invites you in or turn them down then he'll start swearing at you. I literally witnessed him telling a family f off and please don't effing ever come back because they did not want to come in. then he proceeded to call them effing jerks and the worst part is they had children with them! It was very uncomfortable to watch. since I was already seated we decided to check out the place but it was all downhill after that. Wings are overpriced and served cold the food is nasty. So many better places to eat in the marina at this is not one of them. I promise there are way better places especially next door at Brando's. We were disappointed when they told us they ran out of beef meat and avocado for guacamole and chips. They gave us broken tostadas instead. I can't complain about the fajitas those were good.
