The food and the service were okay but I was a little miffed at the fact that the restaurant attempted to get me to pay a double gratuity. When we visited, we ordered the gator bites, the snow lobster combo and one diet coke. The total came out to around $140 and they automatically included an 18% gratuity ($25.35). However, in addition to this gratuity, the receipt they asked me to sign suggested another gratuity on top of the above gratuity which would have resulted in a total fee of over $180. This was the first place we decided on for dinner our first night in Key West. It was busy but we were able to get seated quickly. We tried the conch fritters for the first time, and they were great. We tried the calamari and it was seasoned so deliciously. It has a Cajun kick. We then tried the oysters, they were fabulous and fresh. We were very happy with the freshness and flavors of the food at this restaurant. We visited a second time for happy hour and prices were great and the cocktails are delicious. The best place I have ever had crawfish is in Detroit place called FishBones now this place would be second. Here's my history with crawfish been everywhere in the USA and I have tried it in every state every restaurant that serves it from New Orleans to northern Michigan to Boston over to new port beach california. First off I would like to say our server was not directly the issue. When we got there it took 20 minutes to get waters and asked for drinks. We ordered a starter of Mac and cheese that was maybe enough for 1 person. We get to order our food (craw fish boil) and finally 1 hour later we see our food getting sent to someone else's table, our consolation was taking their food and the rest of the add ins we ordered coming later. So the group that got our food got $15 in add ins while we got ours barely cooked on the side and waited and extra 20 mins. They offered more crawfish to make it right which at that point it was too late. All I can say is proceed with caution. read more

First and foremost Santi who is a server and works at the bar is very attentive. Everyone there is very friendly. The food is pretty good. The lobster bites were so amazing. Chunks of lobster fried and still moist. The seafood medley was on the salty side. I asked them to remove the sausage so I felt like there was not enough food for what we paid for. The corn was also a little dry. I was not able to get the whole kernels off the corn. The meals are pretty small but I guess that is what you get when you order seafood. read more

Went here for supper on a Monday night at around 6pm, and most of the tables were empty. We waited at the hostess stand to be seated and one of the waitresses grabbed menus and took us to a table outside. We asked about sitting inside (not used to the heat/humidity), and were taken to a indoors. Turns out there is no air conditioning, just a bunch of fans blowing air around. For supper my daughter ordered the mac and cheese "starter" as her meal, and did not like it. I did try it and thought it was decent, just not anything to really rave about. All of the other items in the starter menu section were made to be shared, but not sure how practical that would be with this item. The portion size was a bit small for the price / to share with others. My wife got the fish and chips and ate a decent amount of the fish, given that she isn't a fan of seafood. In her words, this was the "once a year" that she eats it. I also had a bite of it and found it to be quite good. Definitely better than the mac and cheese, but not quite excellent. One thing that was "different" was the fries were orange color. They were definitely not sweet potato fries, but unsure if it was the kind of potato, old grease, etc that caused it. No one from our group was willing to try them, so the mystery remains. The best part of the meal, by a LOT was the "seafood on a plate" that I ordered. I absolutely adore seafood and ordered way too much. I ordered 1lb of the peeled shrimp, but the waitress/bartender convinced me to get the pink shrimp because they are bigger and local. I'm so glad she did! I also ordered 1/2lb of crawfish and 1lb of clams, along with 2 ears of corn and an order of potatoes. The Cajun seasoning was really good. I got it medium spice, but didn't really detect much heat. The service was the only real thing that needs attention (unless the fries aren't supposed to be orange). I noticed that most of the tables had to flag their server down to get drink refills/checks/etc. we were among those that had to. Maybe this is the reason the place isn't busier? Seafood boil was really good, and I would definitely get it again were I to come back. Service just needs attention. Food is 4 stars, service was 2 at best. read more

Great spot for live music and happy hour. Drinks are priced extremely well and you can get wings and oysters for a dollar each! The oysters were huge! This place is pretty lively--there is plenty of seating and a lot of people get up and dance. The live performer was excellent--he played a lot of classic rock hits (Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Ted Nugent, The Eagles, The Hollies, etc.). The service was quick and our server was friendly. First time here and a solid pick for fresh, well-sized seafood portions. The bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers didn't seem to have any crab inside, just cream cheese, but they were tasty, as was the accompanying (ranch?) dipping sauce. Plus, we got the 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. happy hour prices. I chose well with the peeled shrimp combo in the house Cajun sauce. I added extra shrimp, and though you can't see it because it's buried in the sauce (a bit too much, which washed away the Cajun seasoning, but tasty nonetheless), it's a lot of food. The corn, potatoes and andouille sausage it comes with were really good, too (especially the corn). My sister opted for twin lobster tail with garlic butter on the side. She loved it (especially with the added corn). Though the place seemed understaffed, our server was kind and accommodating. We sat outside, which was covered to avoid the rain but right on Duval St and prime for people watching.
