The One Where the Soup Stole the Show We've now ordered takeout from Lee's House three times, and honestly, I can't quite remember why we waited so long to come back after the first visit. I think it may have been a larger order for a potluck, but whatever the reason--it deserved a return much sooner. A couple of weeks ago, we called in an order just 15 minutes before closing (completely unintentional), fully expecting a rushed or less-than-friendly response. Instead, the woman who answered the phone was incredibly gracious and accommodating, as long as we could make it in time. No attitude, no hesitation--just kindness. You could genuinely hear the smile in her voice, and that alone set the tone. I had been craving chicken sizzling rice soup, which they don't offer, and I'll admit I was a little disappointed at first. But we pivoted to their chicken noodle soup--and I'm so glad we did. It ended up being the star of the show. Perfectly cooked bok choy, thick udon-style noodles, and generous chunks of chicken--it was fresh, comforting, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. It was so good, I went back a third time just for that. The second time around, it was just as satisfying--always a good sign. My husband usually helps me with the soup, but that night I wasn't quite in the mood, so I saved some for the next day... or at least I *tried* to. My son got to it first and polished it off, which tells you everything you need to know. We also ordered fried rice, which was flavorful and not overly greasy--another win. I wish I had taken photos (and remembered everything else we ordered), but we were too busy diving in. Great service, consistently fresh food, and a soup that keeps calling me back. We have been coming here for 30+ yrs. Not quite sure but since I was in elementary. Food was always good. This is a family owned business. As the years went by we would see the next generation take over. I have not been back for years and finally said let's get Chinese food! We ordered the house chow mein and it wasn't worth the calories. We also ordered Mongolian beef as we like a lot of spice. There was absolutely NO chili in the dish. Usually they put the green onions and white crunchy noodle stuff. We even ordered extra meat and spicy. The dish was another disappointment. Lastely we ordered the walnut prawns. This was the only dish that was good. Very disappointed that the flavors are not the same as I remember. I guess were not ordering any Chinese food for another 10yrs. read more

Trying this takeout for the first time. Young lady who took the order was very warm and answered all questions attentively. She made suggestions when asked and paid attention to what we don't eat (pork) and stopped us from ordering a soup that had pork components. Service is definitely 5 stars. This used to be my go-to for good Chinese take-out. But the last two times have been so disappointing, having ordered the very same dishes. I ordered Singapore Noodles, Beef Chow Fun, and Tomato Beef Chow Mein. Both times the noodles in all three dishes were unbelievably dry, tasteless and stuck together to the point of being inedible. The small pork slices in the Singapore Noodles were tough and required a lot of chewing. I happened to have a new bottle of Asian peanut sauce in the cupboard, perfect for fixing the Singapore noodles. I poured half the bottle on and the noodles became nice and loose and not dry. Soy sauce and oyster sauce I also had, saved the tasteless Beef Chow Fun and unstuck the rice noodles. Finally I chopped up some tomatoes and sautéed them slightly, and added them to the Tomato Beef Chow Mein. There was enough juiciness from tomatoes to give it some flavor. I will not be going to Lee's any longer and will drive down to Senter Road to China Station where they have good Chow Fun and Mein. I do want to point that the person at the counter was very welcoming and friendly in spite of it being busy taking orders on the phone and handing out take-out orders. read more

Quantity is a big hitter here. The young cashier was super nice and helpful. The inside is a little bare but this is a "take out" location and offers catering. They so have. Giant table you can sit and eat at as well. Overall a great meal and experience. Chow mien was so so, could use more flavor. Rice was okay The chicken/pork was great. The gaint Eggroll was my favorite and i would probably just order that. Very filling. Maybe next time I'll ask them to make it spicy, that should help the chowmieen read more

Next time I order this dish I will say no pineapples because this dish came with pineapples chunks. This dish was recommended to me by the cashier..since I was debating between the kimchi fried rice and this dish. She said this one is better. Since my first visit I've came back a couple more times..the kimchi fried rice is okay..you can't really taste the kimchi. The chicken thai basil fried rice is way better than the kimchi fried rice. I have also gotten their dinner special..which goes with a small fountain drink..a plate consisting of fried rice, chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. I forgot the price but it's really cheap!!! My second favorite dish here is their honey walnut prawns. Big pieces of prawns, not too breaded and fried just right. I love that they add chunks of pineapple as well. Delicious! I've been coming to Lee's House for over 20 years and it's still one of my favorite spots. If it were closer to where I live, I'd be here all the time. The woman who's usually at the front (maybe the owner?) is always really kind and welcoming, which just adds to the good vibes. My go-to is the lemon chicken with the sauce on the side. Not only does it stay crispy until I'm ready to eat, but it reheats beautifully in the air fryer. Leftovers actually get better. I also really like the pot stickers and chicken chow mein. Everything just hits that classic comfort food spot. I even introduced Lee's to my office and now they're hooked too. The eggrolls are a big favorite there. Honey Walnut Shrimp (5/5): probably one of the better honey walnut shrimps I've had at an Asian restaurant. it came out hot, the batter was light and crispy, with the sauce that was smothered all over the shrimp and walnuts. taste was flavorful and instead of lettuce on the bottom of the tray, it was covered in wonton chips! Mushroom Chicken (4/5): they used actual fresh mushrooms instead of the typical canned ones which made the dish taste a lot better however the chicken was a bit bland even with the sauce on top Sweet and Sour Pork (4/5): i wish they added more sauce on top, but overall the pork was crispy but juicy on the inside Eggroll (2/5): least favorite thing as it was not the best, was expecting the typical eggrolls that are deepfried and lightweight however the eggrolls that they had were extremely big and just not as tasty as their other dishes read more

They have one of the best garlic noodles I've tried. The noodles were bouncy, garlicy, a bit spicy with a hint of sweetness. I also loved their orange chicken.
