Loved the location in downtown Kingsport. Found this place for lunch. My son ordered the drunken noodles and it was a large portion that came with soup. He loved it. I got two sushi rolls and they were not great. They were both cold, so I'm guessing they were made ahead of time. If I went again, I would try something other than sushi. read more

We started with their Firecracker Shrimp: excellent shrimp. Nice pop to the shrimp and the sauce was nicely balanced. I would order this again. I have been here four times, and EVERY time I continue to order their Mongolian Chicken. I am not sure you can convince me that there is a better meal. Having moved from Illinois I was used to spicy being spicy, and that has not been the case in Tennessee. However, their Mongolian Chicken has a perfect balance of flavor and spice. As I am eating it there is a smoldering fire in my mouth that does not erase the delicious flavors of the meal. When I get done, a good burn for 5-10 minutes after the meal. The last three times I have been seated near the bar. They have a nice selection of items, and you can see them making the sushi, so I do not mind that seating area. My only compliant is I wish they would do something about customers having conversations on their phone. There is a lady who sits near the hostess area (she has been there the last three times I went) and she talks on her phone using the speaker. I will be honest, I would like if they stopped her. It is rude to the other patrons in the establishment and, if she really needs to talk to whomever, she should do it outside. Other than this one person I have no other complaints. read more

Came here on a recommendation by a friend. Located in Downtown Kingsport, Stir Fry Cafe has a great vibe offering Asian, Sushi and Thai cuisines; so if you're craving Asian, this can satisfy your fix. We were seated immediately, it was 1/2 off Sushi all day on Wednesday and Saturday. And every day, they offer specials. Our server Chris was amazing and so wonderful! He is an asset to the establishment. Our party absolutely enjoyed interacting with him. The food came out quickly and plated well. Portion for Edamame was so generous! We had to box it home. Found this gem walking down the strip and I have no regrets! This establishment is super clean enough space to host large parties, romantic dinning you name it everyone here is welcomed. Rolls were very small, and accompaniments were sparse. Kinda disappointing. My colleague ordered another roll that wasn't on the 1/2 price and the result was much better. (Really not a deal if it's 1/2 the price and 1/2 the size). I ordered the blackened salmon tacos with fries. We were both much happier. My tacos were huge. 3 well filled tacos with tasty salmon and a zesty crème dressing. Fries were house cut, and though not crispy, were a good addition. Prices are low. Value is high. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Kingsport downtown. Great offering of Asian and Mexican food. It's pretty busy for weekday lunches. My husband loves this place for their strawberry pecan salad and visits every two weeks! I had Mongolian Chicken with rice, which I thought was okay. We were seated in the bar area at a high top but moved to the bar- There was a cool vibe, I'm a sucker for exposed old brick! Alex was our bartender as well as server. From out of town and we stopped in after a long drive. We opted to bring the food home. I could not have been more disappointed. Fried rice was like boiled rice that someone threw flavoring in. Gross and inedible. My Sesame chicken and my friends General Tsao were both the same except I had a few seeds. Heavy coated with a ketchup like sauce. After driving 13 hours from Ft Lauderdale, and looking forward to a good meal, couldn't have been more disappointed. We were ushered to a table to wait for our food and the area we area in was disgusting. Pickles and a fork visible on the floor and no one ever came to clean it up.
