Post pandemic, they set up an easy online ordering system. My order has always been ready before the quoted time, and the staff is so friendly. To quench my thirst, I've had the mango lemonade which came with chewy boba and it was fantastic, just the right amount of tart. I'm pretty basic and just stick to the combo dog, but if you want more carbs you can try potato studded, or ramen coated dog. One day, when I feel like going meatless I may just try the mozzarella dog. I mean, fried cheese, how can you go wrong? They also have corn dog hour weekdays from 1:30-3:30 for 15% off corn dogs. This was a nice surprise. I really didn't know what to expect. I've seen photos posted, but it was a pleasant surprise to try this place and see how good it was. First off, I tried the potato combo dog. It was alternating cheese and hot dog, and the batter was fresh and the french fries surrounding it were really good too. They offer dipping sauces, but really this didn't need anything. It was good on its own. I will say something about the dipping sauces. They do cost money. Not expensive, just we aren't used to paying for condiments in the US. I will say this: If you usually like ketchup or honey mustard or something for your dog, one container should be enough. They were generous containers. I'm not a fan of them charging, but understand when I saw the condiments, that it isn't a tiny packet, but a small container. One more thing worth mentioning, I did get the Sparkling Yuzu Lemonade to wash it down with, with boba too. It was really flavorful and another nice surprise. My fiance and I love Stix! I recently just finished Start Up (the Korean drama) and I wanted to find places that sold Korean corndogs in the city. We started out with the frozen ones from Kukje, and then upgraded to the ones from Stix! My favorite is the ramen combodog (mozzarella cheese + hot dog), and my fiance likes the potato/fries combodog. I've tried the ramen, potato, and original combodog and the ramen is my favorite because of the extra crunch. We've also tried one of their drinks, the guava lime one--it was good, but a little too sweet, and there was no option on the website to adjust the sweetness. It's a good thing we ordered sauce with ours since I feel like the sauces are necessary for these cheese hotdogs because the cheese hotdogs were so flavorless even though I got the potato one. The fries weren't seasoned so it just felt like I was eating cheese and flavorless dough before dipping it in sauce. It was fun eating it, so I don't want to complain too much, but I only had got the cheese pull for the first few bites. However...my friend enjoyed his Combodog a lot and liked the flavor of the cheese, but he agrees with me that it would've been better if my fries were seasoned. Finally got to try this infamous infinite cheese pull everyone has all over IG! And man did the cheese pull not disappoint.. Ordered a ramen combo (hotdog and mozzarella cheese) with slight sugar. Girl bye, there were so many little dusty particles on both corndogs i ordered and when i talked to them about it they said its a coating? Haven't seen it from any other review. No offer to remake or compensate, so i just threw it away. Clearly looked like dust fried into it. If they could show me this "coating" they use, then i'll believe it. This was my first time ever trying Korean corn dogs and I'm definitely sold. I tried the potatocombo, which is the combodog (meat and cheese) with cubes of potatoes in the crispy outside batter. I got it with the sugar coating as well because I figured I might as well get the whole experience, and it was definitely the right call. The whole thing was a really great mix of sweet, salty, crunchy, soft, cheesy, and meaty. As a side note, there actually isn't one long dog inside but a couple of shorter hot dogs each wrapped in cheese, which made skewed the ratio of cheese to meat a little bit. I think I personally would've liked more meat, but I'm also not one to complain about extra cheese and it was still absolutely delicious. That being said, definitely plan ahead. The other reviews are true, Stix really scrimps on the hotdog by only putting in 2 small pieces so there's a lot of empty space in the corn dog. I don't know any place that does this. I really didn't know what to expect when I ordered the corn dog. The bar next door suggested it since they didn't serve good. We just had to visit this place, after seeing so many posts of their corndogs. Online ordering begins exactly at noontime, when they open. And after you order, a message reads, the food is ready at 1:20 pm for pick up. We got there shortly after 1pm, to factor in street parking. And surprisingly the food was ready before the 1:20 pm pick up. The corn dogs were pretty good, although I have to say, it's best eaten fresh, there and then. By the time we got home, the cheese was not as melty and the waffle fries were kinda soggy, due to the condensation in the box. Tip - when buying waffles, keep all the topping aside and keep the lid open and eat the corndogs as soon as you can. Other then that, I'm glad I was able to finally try this place out. We got it on the side and made a mess in our car while moving to eat it while it was hot, because we have no self control. All dogs were delicious. I walked my food back to the car, photographed, and jumped right in. One problem with the phone order was that I didn't have the best connection. I tried asking for sugar on the dog, but it didn't have it and I think it was due to poor phone quality. Not a big deal, but it really didn't feel like a corndog, more like a crunchy, fried dog on a stick, which is cool, too. I will say the experience was great, and I really appreciated the crunch! I appreciated that the stick they use is more sturdy then your standard corndog stick. Chopstick-esque. The dog itself was also very nice and juicy. Everything else was all right. I finally got around to trying this place out! I've had it bookmarked for the longest time and I was able to find it on UberEats. Let me tell you, I really love Korean hot dogs and will go through whatever lengths to find some around the Bay Area. I've been obsessed with them ever since they started becoming super popular (I had my first one I believe last year!) It's surprising because SF doesn't really have any Korean hot dog places. I see them more predominately around San Jose / Cupertino / Mountain View area. I'm so thankful Stix is located on Taraval!! I stumbled across Stix on UberEats by looking up "bubble tea" under the category section and I was shook. I immediately was like "I need boba + Korean hot dogs!!!" I ended up ordering a mango passionfruit green tea, a jasmine milk tea, the combo dog (half mozerella cheese and half hot dog) and the potato combo dog (same thing, but the outer layer is dipped with mini potato cubes). Here was the breakdown of each thing: Combo potato dog: $8.75 Combo dog: $7.25 Spicy Mayo: $1.00 for both Jasmine milk tea with boba: $5.25 (boba included in price) Passion fruit mango green tea: $4.75 It took roughly maybe 30-45 min to come since I live in Daly City, but I was so excited. I actually tried the potato combo dog first because I knew the combo dog would be the same. Upon eating it, it wasn't as fresh or hot anymore but the flavor was good. The batter itself isn't salty, so you might need to sprinkle some on top. It's still crispy though!!! The cheese actually solidified inside but still pretty good. The second bite I took, I was already at the hot dog layer. Korean corn dogs ?!? I'm there! Korean corn dogs have been the latest food trend and the popular one is located in San Jose that I have yet to tried since it is a drive from SF. So look no further, STIX is right in the sunset district in SF. The interior is super cozy with great photo ops. When you walk in, there is green wall with their logo on it (: then as you keep walking there's a pink lighted sign that says "let's get cheesy" like how cheesy is that ?!? (; Now onto the menu and food. their menu is quite simple which I love. There's 6 different kinds of corn dogs you may choose from. Regular corn dog or potato corn dog with just cheese, hotdog or both. Then you can choose to add sugar or not. They also offer combos that include a side or drink and you'll get $1-$2 off. They offer boba drinks to lemonades so there's a pretty wide variety. FOOD: So their batter is all homemade so it won't make you feel super groggy or anything and I just loved the crunch it had ! Combo corndog $7 (4/5) loved the cheese and the batter but it did take a while for me to get the first hotdog bite ): wished they had more hotdog pieces in the combo Potato cheese corn dog $7.25 (5/5) loved the batter on this one because who doesn't like potatoes ?!? It tasted like French fries. YUMMZ AND then with the cheesy ness inside was perfect. and what's nice about this spot is their selection of sauces. That was my first Korean corn dog experience and it was delicious! It came with a spicy mayo dipping sauce which was a great accompaniment. I deducted a star because the price at $6.25 felt too steep for a fried stick of cheese. I deducted another because the stick immediately detached from the cheese and once I bit into it, it only appeared half stuffed with cheese. read more

Formerly Tea FM, Stix is the first shop in SF specializing in Korean Rice Hot Dogs in SF (District Tea in The Mission also them but teas are their specialty). For Stix's soft opening menu, choose the following: (1) Beef Hot Dog, Cheese Dog, or Combo (1/2 hot dog + 1/2 cheese); (2) Batter: Rice or Potato (studded with french fries); (3) Add sugar coating or no sugar coating. For drinks, there's Fruit Milks, Lemonades, Fruit Teas, Milk Teas, and Tea Lattes. Prices are a couple of dollars more than the Korean Rice Hot Dog Shops in the South Bay: JSJ Street Kitchen (Cupertino) and Myungrang (H-Mart, Man Jose) but that's SF life and you're supporting a small business. For those who love this hot Korean street food snack and live in SF, you no longer have to trek to the SB so you save on gas. Unlike JSJ and Myungrang that have two stacks, Stix has four stacks: mozzarella-hot dog-mozzarella-hot dog. The rice batter is a tad different, perfectly fried to a golden crunch with the interior being a little thicker but fluffy soft. The cheese is extra, extra stretchy, - all kinds of YAS! The sugar coating may sound weird but is a must for that deliciously savory sweet combo. Ask for it on the side if you're leery. There's a handful of condiments: ketchup, honey mustard, wasabi mayo, spicy mayo, sweet chili, etc. I used the ketchup and honey mustard (a bit runny). My friend enjoyed the Potato Dog. We shared the Sparkly Yuzu Lemonade ($4.75) which was bubbly, refreshingly tart, and lightly sweet with bits of citron rind. It was great for washing down that fried beefy cheesy goodness. Service was friendly and prompt for the soft opening (no line yet). The staff was kind enough to drop off my drink to me outside since I had TT with me. The sweet owner (?) asked for feedback which is always appreciated for a new business. Seating for about 20 people. Located next door to Dragon Lounge, across from McCoppin Square Park, and just a block from Parkside Library, you can come grab some Korean Rice Hot Dogs after a romp in the park, after studying in the library, or if you're getting the drunchies. I might be the only one rating this place 3.5 stars. First let me just say I was really excited by the concept of this place. A lot of times I'll bookmark a new place but I might not get to it in a timely manner because let's face it, there's just so many restaurants and not enough time to try them all! But I made a special trip over to the sunset district on a rainy Saturday during lunch, really eager to give this a try. Kiddo doesn't even like corn dogs but oh well, mama's gotta check this place out!! So first impression = the place is small, casual, a little dark and hipstery. The tables and stools were small, meant for eating snacks. They have great service ordering at the register. We ordered potato combo dogs, just mozzarella version for kiddo $6, and deluxe fries with crushed flaming cheetos. The outside of the potato dog was super crunchy and the gooey cheese was yummy -- who doesn't like melty cheese -- but unfortunately I had to eat quite a bit before getting some actual hot dog. The actual hot dog part seems to only measure half of the potato dog so we were just mostly eating f crunchy batter with some melty cheese inside. That's seems too expensive for $8... The deluxe fries were $5.75 and honestly there wasn't enough flaming hot Cheetos. The sauce tasted like velveta that I can probably melt over waffle fries at home so sadly, we weren't too impressed.
