We began with a round of appetizers: the Baby Gem Caesar, Lil' Brgs Wagyu sliders, and Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail. Since I'm gluten- and dairy-free, the kitchen went above and beyond to create a custom salad with a fresh lemon olive oil dressing just for me--a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. Our entrées were equally impressive: Maple Rubbed Salmon, Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, a Filet, and New York Strip, all served with grilled asparagus, tater tots, and traditional Mac & Cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection--especially the steaks, which we requested medium rare. My personal favorites were the filet and sea bass. We paired the meal with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, which complemented everything beautifully. For cocktails, my girlfriend and I ordered the Unchained Passion, while our husbands enjoyed Not Your Daddy's Old Fashioned. Both drinks were exceptional--balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted. The dessert board was a showstopper. It featured The Cloud; a whimsical and decadent presentation. While I couldn't indulge due to my dietary restrictions, it was a sweet finale for the rest of the table. What truly elevated the evening was our server, Jen. She was spectacular--attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made sure our glasses were full, our dietary needs were communicated clearly to the kitchen, and that we felt taken care of throughout the night. It's rare to experience. My best friend and I came here on January 16th to honor and celebrate a close friend who passed away a few years ago. When we walked in, the ambiance was nice and the place felt cute and lively. It definitely leans toward a younger crowd though, mostly what felt like 20 to 30-year-olds, very much a Gen Z or younger millennial vibe. Not a bad thing, just something to note depending on what you're looking for. Once we sat down, things started off slow. It took about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, and nearly 20 minutes after that just to get the water we asked for. Meanwhile, the table next to us already had water, orders placed, and food moving. I'm not sure what was going on, because it didn't seem overly crowded. For food, I ordered the lamb chops, which were supposed to come with carrots. The carrots were completely burned, like black and unrecognizable. The lamb chops themselves were pretty underwhelming. The mashed potatoes had that odd texture and taste like they'd been overboiled and watered down. The lobster mac and cheese was just okay. There was a decent amount of lobster, but the mac and cheese itself didn't really stand out. The Caesar salad was actually really good and probably my favorite part of the meal. I did appreciate that they had a non alcoholic white sangria. I don't drink anymore, so having a mocktail option was a nice touch. Service overall was just okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We still left an 18% tip, but honestly, for a nearly $300 bill, I was expecting a much better experience. The place was empty when we got there, a couple other folks got seated after we did. We got the happy hour a cheese burger, Wagyu taco, quesadilla and crab fritters. The cheese burger was meh - was expecting better from a steakhouse but at $12 (we upgraded for fries) wasn't bad. The rest of the food and service were abysmal. They delivered tuna tacos instead of Wagyu and replaced when we pointed out the miss. They forgot to bring the quesadillas out. Then they charged us for the tuna tacos that we returned! The quesadilla was definitely a mistake. It tasted weird - like stale oil. We left half uneaten. If we ever make it back here it may be just for the happy hour cheese burger. Review is for the happy hour menu in the afternoon. Not that busy on a weekday, weather was nice enough that more people were seated in the outside patio area. The happy hour menu has $3, $6 and $9 items. All the signature cocktails are $9. Tried the watermelon spiced cocktail, and that was interesting. Also tried their Moscow mule and it tasted as expected, and strong enough to give me a buzz. As for food, tried the tartare (3 balls served on chips), the short rib quesadilla, steak frites, and calamari. They are tasted pretty decent. Portions are small as expected for happy hour specials, although the calamari and quesadilla are a little more filling. Steak frites steak was good, but you only get 3 pieces + 6 fries per order. I like STK two years later. I come either for brunch or for happy hour which are the two times of day that STK feels like a bit of a steal. Brunch is a highlight because they have this amazing cinnamon bread that comes to the table for free. Also, their breakfast burger is the least expensive item on the menu, is absolutely delicious, and will fill you up. You'll have to look for it because it is in the most overlooked location on the menu. Also brunch is often under-attended so it is very easy to hear a group of people! I enjoy the relaxed ambiance. Happy hour tends to be busier but it is worth it. First, all their cocktails are reduced in price significantly so. As of this review they are $9. You can't find a bar in Bellevue with $9 cocktails on Bellevue Way. That alone makes Happy Hour worth it because their cocktails are legitimately good! But full priced they aren't worth it, truly, because then they're more expensive than Ascend and STK is no Ascend. Their food menu is great too but little bites. This is to be expected for items ranging from $3 to $9. Order a couple different items and call it good. I have lucked out as far as service. Every waiter and waitress I have had the chance of meeting has been wonderful. They are polite, accommodating, and informative. read more

I was looking forward to trying STK, but unfortunately our first experience didn't get off the ground. We arrived and waited at the host stand to be seated, but after several minutes we were completely overlooked. At one point, an employee even came up to the counter, saw us standing there, and walked away without acknowledging us or saying anything. I understand that restaurants can get busy and that things happen, but it was not busy and a quick greeting or letting us know there would be a wait would have gone a long way. When I walked in I was a little taken aback by the decor. It's giving modern all-inclusive resort restaurants with loudness. However, the service we received was fantastic. We ordered steak frite and the steak was cooked to order and they did a good job. Steak was tender and flavorful. It came with a sauce but the steak definitely did not need it. STK Bellevue: A High-End Letdown We had high hopes for STK Bellevue, especially after a fantastic experience at their Vegas location. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment and we didn't even stay for dinner. Despite having an 8 PM Saturday reservation, we waited 20 minutes for our table. The restaurant's vibe was lively and upbeat, with a DJ setting the tone. But when we were finally seated, they led us past all the energy and tucked us into a private room which was isolated, empty, and awkward. It felt like a reservation mix-up, and not the kind you expect from a supposedly upscale spot. To kill time while waiting for a friend, we ordered martinis. At $25 a glass, you'd expect a classic, well-balanced cocktail. Instead, we got something oddly sweet and poorly made. It was a far cry from a proper martini and not worth the price. Sitting alone in a private room with just three people felt more like a punishment than a premium experience. We left before ordering food, and the whole evening was soured. STK Bellevue didn't deliver on any of the expectations set by its brand or our prior experiences. If you book well in advance, you deserve better. The Tomahawk was cooked to perfection and worth every penny. the meatballs came out quickly and my son said they were the best he's ever had. Trey stopped by towards the end and his friendliness was greatly appreciated. The Christmas feel was on point and it was incredible to look outside to watch Snowflake Lane kicking off. 10/10 will be coming back. Although they are tiny and you only get 2 of them and it's served in a 3 taco holder. This left me feeling like I was missing something. Either fill them with 3 tacos or get 2 taco holder. But it was a damn delicious bite! Just the right amount of crunch, seasoning, and the avocado to lighten it up! I got the skirt steak for entree. It was cooked well, a bit chewy, but it was seasoned well and cooked a medium rare, which I asked for. The chimichurri sauce was watery, which I was not expecting. Made a reservation a week or so before and was able to move the time due to the movie being over. It was only two of us and we were seated in the most horrible spot in the restaurant. It's a two top that's situated at the end of the aisle before you go to the bathroom and the kitchen. Before we even spoke to our waitress more than 12 people had walked by.. servers, customers etc. Most with trays over their heads. That spot should not be a table at all. Once we moved they sat another party there and within 5 minutes the also asked to move. Once we moved we placed our order for an amaretto Sour, page three and a shot tequila. Our food was the Chilean sea bass, ribeye with potatoes and crispy Brussels and a lobster tail. I als got the umami butter and chimichurri. Our food was good. This place is a scam- they will deceive you and won't care. Don't come here. Went there for the first time and was super disappointed. Got NY steak and it looked wrong/like a steak from a cheap diner- no char/broil marks. When I asked about it since it looked and tasted awful, the server mentioned they were replacing a ventilation system so it was cooked a little differently than usual and they could not broil the steaks. Huge difference. It tasted chewy, and the flavor was severely lacking. I mentioned that I wish I had known before I ordered so I could have chosen differently. She sent the manager over, Andrea, who said they weren't telling people before they order because they just got upset and she can't afford to pay for everyone's meals when they complain. She offered an appetizer or dessert, which I declined as I honestly just felt scammed at this point. They are knowingly serving sub-quality food and still charging formal steakhouse prices without notifying guests so we can make an informed decision before we order, and then aren't offering to switch to a different entree when their poor quality negatively impacts guest experience. I spent almost 10 years in the restaurant/hospitality industry, and this is just wrong. Luckily I had a $50 birthday certificate I was able to use, but we still ending up paying close to $90 additionally for an awful steak and horribly salty aguachile that we only had a few bites of. The complementary bread was so good.. honestly probably the highlight of the meal. Warm, soft on the inside, and paired with a delicious blue cheese butter spread that had subtle hints of garlic. Even though I'm not usually a fan of blue cheese, the flavor was mild and well-balanced. It was so good that we asked for a second round! The wagyu burger was solid. I ordered it medium-rare, and the patty was juicy and flavorful. The bun was toasted nicely, and overall, it had that satisfying, classic burger taste.. That said, the food was as good as ever. Kudos to the kitchen. Quite honestly, we've had much better experiences at places that cost half as much as we spent (we decided not to stay for dessert). Even at similar prices, Fogo de Chao, Daniels, John Howie, etc. can be much busier, but we've never felt short-changed, squeezed in, or rushed. We mixed up the dates and unfortunately snowflake lane had ended, luckily when we showed up early at STK they accommodated us with an earlier seating despite being busy. The restaurant is beautiful, sleek modern white & purple colors. The holiday lights added a magical sparkle. Our sever was very nice and attentive. The bread they bought to the table in the cast iron pan was incredible! Hot, soft and the blue cheese butter on top was so scrumptious. I could have eaten 2 of these. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly rare as requested and the fries were crunchy & hot. My braishort rib dish was presented beautifully and very tasty. Our evening ended with a twinkling light holiday photo by the STK tree which the front desk host kindly took for us. We received the gift card from purchasing a couple hundred dollar STK gift card as a gift for a family member during one of their promos at the end of last year. What anyone failed to say when we received this gift card was that it was only valid for 3 months! Never in my life have I had a gift card expire that quickly. So we had a nice dinner expecting $100 off just to be told that the gift cards were no longer valid. Scammy. Unfortunately, it was not. I've had better food for a fraction of the price at other places. I got the $71 Maine lobster linguini. It was too spicy for my liking and I couldn't eat it. It did have some large pieces of lobster at least. A spice warning on the menu would be nice. My wife got the $57 maple rubbed salmon. It was the best part of the meal. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It's just not a very filling meal for the price. The staff was very nice, from the hostess to the waitress. The inside was decorated very beautifully for Christmas. No one at the table enjoyed it, and it was barely touched yet no one checked in to see if anything was wrong. For the main courses, only one person in our group actually enjoyed their meal (the ribeye). I ordered the steak frites: the steak was cooked properly, but it was so over-seasoned it was almost inedible like eating a salt lick. To top it off, they insisted on bringing out a birthday dessert for our friend, which turned out to be a single, sad scoop of plain vanilla ice cream for five people to share. We couldn't help but laugh at how underwhelming it was. Overall, this felt like a poor excuse for an upscale dining experience. First off it was our 10 year anniversary. Nice they gave us complimentary champagne, but it kind of got annoying to tell the waiter that I didn't drink, then later comments were made when we didn't finish 2 glasses. The service was terrible. It was extremely slow and a dinner for two with only ordering steak. A couple appetizers and one side dish took nearly 2 1/2 hours. Regarding the food, the appetizers honestly were the best part with the calamari and the oysters. When it came to the steaks and brussels sprouts one of the steaks was done medium well when it was supposed to be medium rare, and the brussels sprouts had so much glaze on them. My overall experience with our server was great and she made it fun being there. Food: food came out very quick we didn't have much time to eat the first course before next course hit the table. This did kind of felt rushed and we had a lot of food on the table at one point. The appetizers were really good and I feel the best out of the 3 course meal. The steak was mid and the fish was cold in the middle. For dessert we shared the bag of donuts and I'd say it was kinda of odd dessert to have at higher end restaurant but it was ok. Ambiance: The restaurant was clean and had this unique decor inside. They had good music playing and it felt like we're out at the club.
