I was a little wary coming to this location after reading some of the prior reviews, and after the experience at this restaurant, I should've listened (but hey, don't know until you try first hand). The restaurant is a large room centered around the bar. I personally thought that interior decorations were a bit tacky, but the rest of my group thought the rest was pretty cool. We were seated immediately and service started out great then declined once the restaurant got busy. We were able to order off the happy menu for the first hour we were there. I enjoyed my $9 spicy watermelon drink and $3 falafel apps but that's about three extent of it... the happy hour wagyu and tuna tacos were laughable. I get they are on the happy hour menu, but the size was comical for nine dollars. I ordered the $70 STK pearls for dinner, and actually had to send them back because the caviar was so old and fishy tasting. The GM came over and said this shouldn't be the case since they fly caviar in fresh everyday... yeah right. I've eaten a lot of caviar and this stuff was trash. They fortunately took this off the bill as well as the asparagus which were burnt to a crisp and so salty. The rest of our party of 9 had a similar experience. The steaks were close to $100 and for that price they should be excellent, and they were below average. My mom did enjoy her salmon, and my grandma enjoyed her tuna Tartar, but that's all I would recommend at this place. If you come here, make sure it's for happy hour and only order a drink or two and some of the happy hour entrées. read more

My first year doing Restaurant Week in Denver! Truly an occasion worth celebrating. My friend came up with a wish list, and the group of us ultimately decided on STK Steakhouse. What an entertaining experience! Per usual in Downtown Denver, street parking was a nightmare. It was a weekday evening but we still had to walk a few blocks. We were seated immediately upon arrival, but I was confused by the vibe... another Yelper described it as nightclub meets steakhouse. I guess that's pretty popular for strip clubs, but STK isn't one. There was a DJ and people dancing by their table, dressed up for all occasions. Definitely an energetic vibe that made me smile, along with the friendly wait staff. I had a dirty martini which was decent. The food itself also wasn't very memorable, which is what I came here for. I got the Tuna Tartare Tacos as my appetizer. They were light and crisp. The coffee-rubbed steak was a little dry, even though I ordered it medium rare. And the cheesecake cones were way too sweet, I couldn't finish them. I think if I was in my early 20s, this would have been an exciting spot. Reasonable price point with a variety of menu options. I wouldn't protest if someone planned another dinner here (at any of their locations) and really wanted to try it. I'd probably opt for their seafood or pasta next time, just to mix things up. We had the best time at STK for Late Night Happy Hour! From walking in to see the hostess, to leaving the restaurant the service was unmatched. Our server John was a highlight of the experience! For the food, we tried a lot! A few favorites that stood out were the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, the Filet with Wagyu Umami Butter, and the Lobster Mac & Cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that we had a reservation at STK shortly after my plane landed as I was hungry! Having been to their location in Las Vegas, I was familiar with the menu and the quality of the food. We started with the maple and bourbon nueske bacon, which was sweet, thick, seasoned, and very good. Previously I'd tried a few of the seafood starters so it was a nice change of pace to begin the meal with bacon! We got the 6oz filet and cowgirl ribeye, along with the parmesan truffle fries and brussels sprouts. Our food took a very long time to arrive at our table so when it did, we were ready to dive in. They butterflied my small filet, which really helped it get to the right temperature while maintaining its moisture. The ribeye was equally as juicy and seasoned. We had the chimichurri and STK bold sauces on the side. The bold sauce was like a sweet barbecue sauce. The sides were presented in small cast iron dishes, which seemed too small and they made it challenging to serve the brussels sprouts in particular without spilling them on the table. Once we did get them on our plates, we really liked that cider glaze that was coating them and of course, the bacon. The fries were more like thick cut potato wedges. They were fine but probably not worth $16. Service here was lacking some and it was certainly nothing like the great, attentive staff that was at STK in Vegas. When we arrived we were told that we had to wait as they were about to pass out a round of shots to the restaurant...what??? That seemed odd to us given that we were on time for our reservation. After being seated, we didn't see our waitress for long stretches of time and we had to ask other staff for things that we needed. We sat outside in their makeshift dining area due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and it was nicely decorated with chandeliers and faux animal skin cushions on the seats. STK is not the best steakhouse I've ever been to but the food is good, expensive as expected, and consistent across locations. The service here and food delivery time at this location could use some work. read more

They originally sat us at a high top table in the bar area, we ask to be moved to an actual table, they accommodated us very quickly. I went to STK around noon on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy so I was sat right away. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and you can sit at the bar as well. I was excited to try my first restaurant quality waygu steak. I should have known better when the waiter was busy upselling the sauces, rather than focusing on the quality of the meat. A great steak doesn't need a sauce, and I've had better steaks at a mid-price chain. The alleged waygu was cooked medium-rare, as requested, but I would swear on my life that it was not a waygu cut. It was chewy and filled with gristle. The season on the steak was so overwhelming that it barely allowed the taste of the steak to come through. The sides were ok, but the potatoes and asparagus we ordered were no where near worth the $40 price tag. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was attentive. The only thing I would recommend to the staff is avoiding sniping at each other within earshot of your patrons. It was very clear that there is toxicity in the ranks. I wouldn't return to STK. They had a DJ who played music which wasn't too loud, so you could still engage in meaningful conversations. The chicken and waffles were really good - a little over priced but still tasty. The waygu burger is really their best option on the menu for the price and taste. They also offer unlimited mimosas for a 90 minute period. When we sat down, we were given the regular menu only. We had to ask for the restaurant week menu. I think this was our fault since we didn't mention that we were there for restaurant week. The menu itself should have been a red flag because of so much $extra$ options it has. But I was thinking that the extra options would be worth it.. I was wrong... My first course was the tuna tartare tacos. Three tacos that were perfectly bite size. Meaning I easily ate 1 taco in 1 bite. The flavor was okay. Not sure what I was expecting but I was expecting more of a wow factor.. Second course was the main dish and I upgraded to the ribeye. The 12oz ribeye was probably the healthiest ribeye I ever ate. It hardly had any fat. I also ordered it medium rare and it overcooked to medium. The mash potatoes however, was the best dish of the evening. It was so smooth and rich! It's the potato version of creme brulee. For dessert I chose the apple cobbler. This dessert was so sweet and rich that I couldnt eat more than a few bites. Did not get more than one drink since mixed drinks here are at least $22. At the end we asked for the check to be split accordingly since we were with another couple. Overall the restaurant was of high quality, great service, and an amazing ambiance. The server knew the menu and was able to give great recommendations for our first time. The asparagus was amazing and so was the steak. The pasta was the best I've had. The chef for sure is top tier. For all you see in the pictures us two waters and a drink (22$) we spent about $300. We were a little suprised since we calculated in the $200 but we were unaware tge water itself was $6 per glass and we each had two. And the sauces for the steak was also very pricey. I decided to go to STK for my graduation dinner and was really excited to try this restaurant as I've heard a lot of good things about the STK brand. The ambiance and inside of the restaurant was beautiful and great for group photos but the rest of the experience truly left more to be desired. The food was just alright, especially my steak which was overcooked and dry. Our server was not the greatest but there were other members of the staff (including the manager) who were really polite, helpful, and elevated the experience. My entire group was disappointed in their main meal but we did like our drinks, appetizers, and desserts. I probably won't revisit this location being that its in Denver and I live in the Midwest but I would give the Chicago location a try as I may have a better experience! read more

Last night we came for dinner, and it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Though this is a beautiful restaurant, it's clear it is mismanaged, which is a shame. Our poor waiter seemed like he had wayyy too many tables, and he still did give great service which is why I added a star. The issue was the food, both the quality and how long it took was completely unacceptable. It took WELL over an hour to get our food, which sucked because since this was an occasion to celebrate our friends bday, we couldn't make the next spot we planned on going to. We ordered a bone-in New York strip and not only was it over cooked, it was cold and looked completely gross. It is $81 by the way. We also ordered other steaks, I think they were filets, and they were also not edible. The only things that were decent were the burrata and calamari, the appetizers. This was so aggravating after waiting so long. We could have ordered Grubhub and had it delivered to the restaurant, lol. When the manager (finally) spoke to one of us in our party, he was visibly frustrated. We also were frustrated because he never came to the table to speak to us even though we had alerted the staff about the time it was taking. They did comp everything, which is why I gave an additional star, but honestly I would never dine here again. This restaurant should really just be a bar. The bartenders are great and the appetizers are good, so save yourself the headache and avoid this place. Go to Shanahans where the food is top notch and then come here for a cocktail if you must. read more

Legitimately one of the best lunch special burgers I've had in the Denver metro area, and especially Downtown. I ordered a medium burger with chips and took it to-go because I was on my lunch break. While waiting, I ordered a beer from the bar and enjoyed my conversation with the bartender over their specials and brunch menu. The burger was well worth over the $10 price tag in terms of juiciness, the taste of the special sauce, and the texture of the bun which seemed like a soft brioche. The staff made my whole experience from my greeting, to my final goodbye, and I enjoyed my entire experience here. Would recommend and will be back for brunch. read more

So last night I tried to use my final 50.00. GM comes over and in a tone that reminds me of my ex-wife "Oh these are expired we even extended them.to september because of covid....it says it right on the back." Yah I go home and read the fine print an all sorts of contracts I sign... it's my enjoyment. "They took out the system that allows me to process these." Ok now I'm being flat out lied to. 100% I just used 2 of these cards 48 hours prior. I bring my family there every thanksgiving. I've spent close to 2000.00 at this place last year. In a city where we have a lot of options. Maybe they dont care. I dunno. But if I was the GM I probably would have just taken the 50.00 off. I dont need a "system to process this." Sucks. I have been to several STK steakhouses and my experience at the Market St. Location in Denver was by far the best. Our waiter Ryan M. Was absolutely incredible. He was super attentive, very personable, and if I am ever in the area again - that is who I am requesting. This was my first time bringing my 10 month old with me to an STK steakhouse and I really appreciated Ryan going out of his way to make sure she also had a wonderful experience. He brought her watermelon slices and we had a little sparkler celebration at the end which put a big ol' smile on her face. (That gesture really made my husband and I feel good. Sometimes servers don't go above and beyond and it meant a lot that Ryan did that for us all night long as busy as they were!) We didn't eat much food as we had a snack beforehand but the WAGYU steak 10/10 Cesar gem Salad 10/10 The drinks were superb! We had our salads in front of us for 15 mins wondering where this extra dressing and pepper is we asked for. When he went back and told them he still forgot out pepper. I stopped the manager frustrated about how we are being handled. The manager said he would come over and he didn't. The man was wearing all grey suit was supposed to come check what was happening and just forgot. I also asked another manager with a light suit jacket to grab a steak knife. Why??? The server wasn't doing his job and the wait staff brought my partner a steak with no steak knife. He was cutting it with a Butter knife and said I guess they don't have any. So I asked the manager for one. You think he would wonder why i'm asking him for a knife and not the server. We paid $25 for non alcoholic drinks 1 coke and 2 waters. Which I was over charged. We asked for still water and got Fiji which I didn't ask for. then is see my friends bills were worse. Then waiting for the bill this lazy waiter is laying on top of a booth! You are at work! Just terrible service and a lack of detail. For two people who only order a salad and one steak and the bill is over $160 for what? My partners steak was dry even on medium rare and my Salad I left had lots of bad lettuce I just threw out. At the end we told him we didn't want more drinks and he did anyways and charged us. When we didn't want them to begin with. Why did that happen? Because he wasn't actually listening to us and in the customer service industry active listening is very important. I came here for Happy Hour and I was pleasantly surprised. This place only has street parking. You must find a parking spot on the street and there is plenty of construction in the area. The waiter was extremely helpful. I ordered two cocktails. Old Fashioned and French Connection. Both were tasty and worth the price. I ordered the steak lollipop, bread and olive oil, and Surf and Turf. The steak lollipop was the most tender and delicious cut of meat I have had in a long time. The bread and olive oil was complementary but it was surprisingly delicious and one of my favorite items. The surf and turf was decent. The lobster tails were tasty and the steak was good.
