On a random day trip to Denver my family & I decided to try out STK Steakhouse. When you first enter it seems too pretty to be a steakhouse. From the artwork, to the catchy led lights & the floral arrangements you would've thought you had accidentally walked into a 5 star luxury hotel. The hostess & server were very friendly & accommodating. We started out with the oysters. They can with these cute, very tiny Tabasco bottles. We then had the Lil brgs & tatter tots (the tater tots were HUGE but very delicious). My father & sister had the Japanese A5 filet which looked amazing. My sister & I had the Rib eyed filet which was very, very delicious. The Parmesan Truffle fries were good but would like to try their Mac & Cheese my next visit. For dessert we had the warm chocolate chip cookie & cheesecake with fresh strawberries on top. Both were very rich, the chocolate chip cookie was warm & melted in your mouth even with the ice cream on top. I highly recommend this steakhouse not only for the food but for the dessert! read more

Last night I was hosted at STK for late night ! I brought my tag team partner - my husband Ryan as always ! What a treat from start to finish! This place is fun and vibrant with lights music and trendy vibes throughout the entire place. Lots of photo op spots and the music was so fun, but also not too loud where I could still have a conversation with ryan! I did find myself dancing and eating at the same time which is my specialty. Our server was Darija and she was phenomenal! She was so attentive and kind and helpful with all our questions since it was our first time going here. She graciously allowed us to take video and pics with her as well. She also made sure that we didn't have any issues with Ryan's allergies. I'm always happy and impressed with places that are so good about this. And really - The entire staff was truly wonderful and I was very impressed by everyone here. The team here is truly what made us want to come back again soon and I really wanted to stress that point! Thank you STK team! - as for the food it was also a delight ...We each got 2 cocktails we got different kinds so we could each try each others Strawberry Cobbler, Dragon Flare, Guava Berry Kiss, Unchained Passion - my fave was the Dragon Flare and Ryan's was the Unchained Passion ! Food was : blue iceberg salad, little burgers, tuna tartare, filet mignon with unami butter, sea bass, tagliatelle, lobster mac, truffle fries - it was a great mix for ryan and I because I'm more of a steak person and he loves seafood but we truly enjoyed both. My favorite was the steak and the sea bass both cooked to perfection. Then for dessert there was donuts with these delicious little dipping sauces, chocolate cake, and cheese cake ..... heaven my favorite dessert of course from this NY girl was the cheese cake and Ryan's favorite as well! We were also given little shots at the end of the meal that I believe tasted like a sex on the beach type drink... sweet but yummy. And of course the giant sparklers is a fun touch for it all. It truly was one of the best meals I have ever had and was so fun for Ryan and I. We ran into a friend here as well and it was nice to have some cute spots to take some pictures together. Everyone working here thanked us again on our way out and it was just such an overall excellent experience. We look forward to coming back with some friends ! STK has some great lunch time meal deals provided you do not succumb to the upsell. Otherwise, this is an expense account restaurant. The inside decor is rich with huge flower bouquets, interesting lighting with white seats. Not Denver at all, but rather attractive. For the lunch deal STK offers a surprisingly large hunk of tender meat and some very cute staff that serve with enthusiasm. My crispy brussels had an intentional sweetness and were not to my taste. My friend and I came here for dinner on a Monday evening. We had a reservation and showed up a little early. Since they were not busy, we were seated immediately. Food: The meal began with their house made garlic bread. This bread was drenched in butter and absolutely delicious. I wish they gave us more bread. My dinner I got the Caesar salad which was pretty large and tasted good pretty, but standard. We also got fries and Mac & cheese to share. Both were good! I would definitely order both again. My friend ordered the filet mignon, and he thought it was pretty good. For dessert, we ordered the cookie skillet and the churros. The cookie was good. The churros were disappointing. It may have been a bad night, but they were overdone and cinnamon sugar was caked on. Service; Service was friendly and attentive. We were fortunate to be here when it wasn't busy, so we were served very promptly. Our server was nice and had good recommendations and answered any of our questions well. Dined at other STK units including Miami, and this doesn't meet the standards. Grossly understaffed at the bar with only 2 bar tenders scrambling to fill table orders and at the bar. Dined at the bar and the runner with the meal arrived and had no table setting. Runner said you have to ask the bartenders for a fork and knife - the same bartenders scrambling to fulfill drink orders. Sat waiting with $140 of food before me with no fork or knife (not the bartenders fault) until they were free to grab them. The GM said "we'll work on it" Great comment to customers on their dime. Not something you want to hear when spending $200 a person with tip. The GM here needs to go before this unit hits the skids big time. read more

Came for the happy hour...stayed for the drinks! Happy hour menu has great prices for their cocktails and select wines ($9 on happy hour vs $22 menu pricing). We had several happy hour food items, which are all great, but they are very very small dishes. We sat at the bar on an early Saturday afternoon, and the bartenders were all fantastic. I hesitate before writing this review, but feel It's necessary. First, let me say this is my second time in two weeks to dine at this establishment. The first time, I dined alone. The second time, I brought a coworker and my wife. Let's start with the good and my first visit. The steak, when cooked correctly is amazing! I had the ribeye cap on both visits (it was that good). I had it prepared medium and it was served more like medium rare but still great. It is served with a choice of causes on the side, but honestly they are not needed. The pull apart bread is served topped with a blue cheese butter which I'm sure is great if you like blue cheese. If not, you might be able to ask them to leave it off. I'm not sure. For a side, I tried the cheesy potatoes but was not impressed. At that point, I was full from eating my steak that I loved! Fast forward a week and I'm back again. This time, all three people in my party order the ribeye cap steak. Two medium and my wife ordered hers well-done. All three steaks were brought to the table cooked to medium rare. We sent my wife's steak back because she absolutely does not like her steak bloody. The back of the house manager brought her recooked steak back to the table, asked her to cut into it. This time it was cooked to a hot pink center. We sent it back a second time. Shortly later, a busboy or kitchen hand, brings back her steak and sets it on the table. It has been cut into chunks, pieces randomly scattered all over the plate, and charred. We call our server over and even he is embarrassed. He calls the front of the house manager over who is also shocked. We turn down an offer for new steak but he does comp the steak and a desert. It was disappointing that a chef at a steakhouse only knows how to cook a steak at one temp, med rare. We ordered mashed potatoes (buttery but way too salty) and asparagus which my guests enjoyed. We also ordered the hot cookie with ice cream ( excellent) and the bag of doughnuts (excellent). So, in summary, I would say come for the atmosphere, steak ( if you like it medium rare), dessert, and the service was very good too. read more

I had a reservation for five people on Thanksgiving. My mother ordered the Lobster Linguine and shared some of it with my parents-in-law. All three of them developed symptoms of food poisoning that night. The next morning, I had to take my mother had to go to Urgent Care to get fluids. My in-laws were sick, but not to the same degree I contacted STK and Cole, one of the Managers, called me back. I recounted everything that happened. I gave my information and was assured that a case would be opened. I followed up a couple of weeks later and was told that it was in the hands of their corporate. To date, I have not got a resolution. I have not heard from anyone at corporate. What was meant to be a great night getting my extended family together was ruined and my mother spent the remainder of her trip recovering. They have been given every opportunity to make this right, but seemingly don't care about the safety of their customers. read more

The incidence was good. It was Christmas night I went here. My steak was handed to the guy next to me at the bar. After three minutes he said "did you get a steak too". He got a different NY and I had a filet. The bartender took it. And the three bartenders discussed it and handed it to me. It was burnt well done and I asked for medium. This is my first time dining at the restaurant. I came in for the veteran deal. We ordered the calamari to start, which was so crunchy and thick you couldn't tell if there even was any calamari in it. I ordered the fish and chips because I thought it would be delicious and the breading was so crunchy it tore up the roof of my mouth. When I asked about the veteran deal, our waiter was put off, dismissive and a bit rude. My friend liked his burger. The buttery wagyu beef boasted a firm yet juicy texture with serious umami flavor. The special sauce on the burgers gave them a tangy kick that we couldn't get enough of. Came into STK for a late night dinner, celebrating my birthday. We walked in with our reservation and were seated immediately. The ambiance was moody, music playing was not too loud or distracting. We started with the Spiced Watermelon and Hibiscus Sparkler cocktails and for appetizers, the Tuna Tartare, Blue Iceberg salad, and the Lil' Brgs (wagyu sliders)-- each were delicious in their own but the sliders were packed with undeniable flavors. The spiced watermelon cocktail was refreshing and was complemented by the hint of background spice (not overpowering) and Tajin rim. Main course was the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, the Mushroom and Truffle Tagliatelle and a Steak Filet perfectly cooked medium rare topped with Freshly melted truffle butter. We enjoyed the side of Truffle Parmesan fries and Mac and cheese. We also tried the Cucumber Stiletto and the Unchained Passion cocktails. Both were really tasty! I have to say, again, it was all delicious but the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass was flavorful, flaky buttery soft and just downright DELICIOUS. The Filet was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. We ended with the cheesecake and Bag O' Donuts. The donuts had three options of dipping sauce but the Dulce de leche was my favorite. The cheesecake was unreal! It was soft and light, the fruit was just enough to add extra flavor and complement the cheesecake but not overpower it. One of the highlights was when the server brought out birthday shots on a sparkling platter! The whole area sang me happy birthday--it was very sweet! The service was impeccable. I'd love to find something wrong with my dining experience here but honestly I can't. We were a party of four having a business dinner. I've been to STK in other cities and been impressed. Denver's location may be the best experience I've had. Service is worth the price of admission as is the food. The ambience here might be a bit EDM including the lighting but who cares? If my clients were a bit older, maybe they might have noticed? Servers are well versed on the menu and answer questions with ease. They're attentive and also not invasive (which is great for a client dinner). Appetizers were great and the entrees were even better. The sauce that came with my steak has had me dreaming of it since I ate here. It was rich but SO worth it. We also got an array of sides including creamed spinach, brussel sprouts, au gratin potatoes... frankly we could have ordered a few more since they all tasted great. For dessert we got the chocolate chip cookie skillet which brings me to tears thinking about it. I'm diabetic but this is a dessert worth injecting insulin for. We also got the mini donuts. The photo I shared is the server melting the topping onto my short rib steak. It was fun to watch and more fun to taste. This was a pricey experience even on an expense account. Still, when you take a client someplace like this you WANT the experience to be memorable. This was certainly that. Props all around for the service, food, ambience and decor. STK has me torn. Initially, we visited for a birthday dinner that turned out so poor I reached out to their management. I won't go into details, but this review is based on our complimentary meal. To start, STK is a little funky. It seems lost between a high-end steakhouse, dance club, and sports bar. You will find everything from attire from formal to sports jerseys. The DJ and loud music also make it challenging to conversate or enjoy the company of your party. Cocktails are creative, fun, and delicious. The wine list is impressive, but the beer is not so much. Overall the food was as expected. They lack the flair that makes a steakhouse high-end. They don't offer impressive tableside presentations even for their large format cuts. Nothing that came to our table was "OMG" good, but it was delicious. Service was on point, and Nate took excellent care of us. We decided to pop in here Wednesday evening before heading to a show at the Buell. We sat at the bar and had a fantastic experience. Thomas was our bartender and made our evening. The happy hour cocktail specials $9 for their specialty drinks is outstanding. Thomas made me my first espresso martini- yes I'm behind the trend! It was delicious! My hubby had the old fashion and he's pretty picky and enjoyed it very much . We both had a second drink- me , spicy watermelon, and my hunny had a drink with espresso in it too and really liked it. We had a HH meatballs-2 per order, little dry but tasty. We shared the halibut fish n chips. These were very very yummy. The reason for 4 stars was the price of the entree; $57. We aren't cheapsters , we felt it was a bit overpriced. We will definitely be back for drinks and HH and hoping Thomas is bar tending- he really made our night start off in the best way! The platter was delicious, briny oysters, mussels, and other wheel fish were just delicious. The steak and lobster tail while a all for the price were perfectly seasoned and at a perfect temperature. The steak could have been cut with the fork as it was that tender. The lamb chops weren't game y at all, they were tender and delicious. But our experience last night was bad enough on several levels that others might benefit from knowing (both the restaurant and prospective diners). And by the way, everyone has a bad night and early in our experience we attributed the tone of our server to just that. But things didn't improve as the meal went on. What went wrong? At a restaurant that charges well over $100 for some entrees you have a certain expectation regarding service and food. Our food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Our server didn't engage with us beyond repeatedly saying 'anything else' as she took our orders. Our dozen oysters came out AFTER our entrees. Interestingly the food runner said, as he dropped our entrees, 'I'll be right back with your oysters.' We didn't discuss timing on the oysters so who decided they should come out later (more on that later)? Or was it just a BOH management issue? So far, none of this justifies this review. But next, when one member of our party ordered a second glass of wine (with about 20% of the first glass left), the server appeared with the refill poured in a fresh glass (vs the typical small carafe). Rather than simply leaving the second glass next to the partially filled original glass, she decided to pour the new glass into the first. When we were on the cusp of the end of happy hour, our server was nowhere in sight for several minutes - so we had to go to the bar to order cocktails ourselves. While finishing our meal, our server was constantly clearing the table. Generally not an issue unless you take the utensils before everyone is finished with everything. We had to ask for another setting to finish and still ate the last of the belated oysters with a spoon - our last remaining utensil. As a group, we decided we needed to share this experience with the manager. When we asked to see him/her our server asked if there was a problem. We said 'yes' and she stopped and asked for feedback so she could improve. Nice call on her part. When the manager appeared with a big smile she acted as if she had no idea why we called her. Later in the conversation she mentioned that our server had filled her in before she came over. When we mentioned the delayed oysters she said 'well, sometimes customers ask for oysters to come out with the meal.' Not the case here. When we finished our comments she said she would talk to the server. At this point we already had our check and had placed the credit card on it. The manager asked if we were ready to check out? She took the card and receipt and left. Our server returned shortly and ran the check for the original total. Frankly, we were shocked that the manager didn't offer to comp us dessert (which wouldn't have accepted, anyway) or perhaps cover one round of drinks and credit our bill. A move like that makes you feel heard and also leaves the impression that it's a one-off situation. Had she made either move, I wouldn't be posting this. But apparently poor service (both BOH and FOH) and average food is the norm at STK Denver, requiring no adjustment from management. I know restaurants are feeling pressure from every side right now (exacerbated by Denver's new minimum wage laws), but there are WAY TOO MANY other good steakhouse (or just good restaurant) options in Denver. We won't be returning here in the future and likely won't consider any STK location anywhere else in our future travels. Diner beware... read more

Fantastic atmosphere and ambiance. Start with the good part. Ryan our waiter kicked butt. Everything started out great. Wifey ordered a Paloma and I got tequila on the rocks. We ordered Calamari and Oysters on the half. Both great appetizers. Then came dinner again everything came out great with one exception. Brussel sprouts are a must try. Mashed potatoes were my wife's so didn't get to try. Cesar salad was hers as well again no sample for me but she said both were delicious. So here is my gripe I order my steak medium expecting pink unfortunately my original steak came out medium well. In my opinion over done so asked Ryan to take it back he agreed definitely over cooked. Right in front of me, two managers who discussed and disagreed with my decision again normally don't complain but it was obvious well done and for $100 steak I expect to get what I ordered. I was extremely frustrated the way the management team acted and literally had Ryan pull out his phone to turn on light and show the steak was over cooked but I guess they didn't believe the customer nor the waiter disappointing to say the least these managers need to learn customer service. Not only did they impact me and my wife's dinner but to be honest I had planned on bringing a large customer meeting on Monday and now second guessing and moving to another steakhouse with better customer service. It is unfortunate as Ryan did his job great but poor management will always reflect on service. When considering an upscale steakhouse, STK will always be a nice suggestion. The food was absolutely amazing and definitely shows why STK is a steakhouse staple. The tater tots were recommended by our server as a side - and I'm here to share to all reading - try the tater tots. The steaks and lamb were also cooked and seasoned to perfection. Definitely a nice treat. Now, on the contrary, the drinks weren't too tasty - definitely on the stronger side but overall bitter selection. The ambiance was lovely and vast - full of floral decor and art within this location. I enjoyed the big "STK" flower bouquet in the entrance. However, wasn't much of a photo opp area due to the high traffic and location. Personally when attending a place of this caliber, I enjoy ordering cute drinks and mini table side dishes - to my surprise - not much was offered along those lines. Overall, extremely tasty food, but underwhelming experience for the occasion. Lastly, big shout out to our server, Tommy - couldn't have asked for a better server for my grandmother on Mother's Day. read more
