Absolute 5 star service all around from service to food. I ordered the steak and it was about as tender, delicious and flavorful as it gets. The creamed spinach was delightful and the Yukon gold mashed potatoes were rich and delectable. But what really put this review to 5 stars was the over the top class in service was the parking valet. When I parked in the garage the ticket didn't print and I was worried that they would charge me a lost ticket fee. But the valet stepped up and gave me his own personal ticket plus a free validation. The steaks were medium at best when ordered medium rare, which would be fine except it's $70 for the small filet. The music choices are terrible and insanely loud. It's too hard to even talk to someone across the table meaning we were sat for 40+ minutes waiting for any food or drink not even being able to talk. STK was an interesting experience. A dark and loud steakhouse that had more of a nightclub feel than a restaurant. Party of four had the filet, short ribs, surf and turf, and fish and chips. The food was excellent once they finally got the steak temperature right. The fish was flaky and crust was delicious. Service was slow and our meals were't served together which was annoying. We had dinner at STK Denver last night for Thanksgiving, and while our server was fantastic--attentive, pleasant, and truly the highlight of the evening--the food unfortunately fell far below expectations. This was our second time doing Thanksgiving at STK. Last year we dined at the San Diego location and the meal was excellent. I also visit the Denver STK fairly often and have dined at the Las Vegas and San Diego locations, so I'm very familiar with the brand and normally enjoy their food and service. Our reservation was for a party of nine (eight attended) at 4:15 PM. We were seated quickly, and as one of the first tables of the evening, the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. That's where the positives ended. The biggest disappointment was the food. The turkey was extremely dry and overly salty. The sides were bland, cold, lacked flavor, and the portions were surprisingly small. Even the mashed potatoes--which are usually a safe bet--were underwhelming. As we left, everyone in our group expressed the same concerns: the meal simply wasn't good. For 6 of the 8 in our party, this was their first STK experience, and they all said they wouldn't come back based on last night's dinner. For my husband and me, who normally enjoy STK, we're honestly not sure we would return--and we definitely would not come back for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. While driving to our hotel, I spotted STK and instantly knew we had to go as I'd never been before! Fate was on our side because when we checked in, the concierge informed us that hotel guests get 10% off at STK. AMAZING! On our way to dinner elsewhere, we decided to take a quick look at the STK menu... and before we knew it, we ended up having a full meal that started with just one appetizer, lol! Our waitress was phenomenal. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to recommend and explain a good portion of the menu while checking on us frequently. When we had to wait a bit for our check, she brought out champagne as an apology! Honestly, she had been so great throughout our meal that I didn't even notice the wait. We went on a Saturday during happy hour, and there were plenty of couples enjoying the menu in a relaxed but vibey environment. Mother's Day Brunch Disaster - Avoid This Place! If you're even thinking about celebrating something special at STK Steakhouse in Denver--especially a holiday--seriously, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Our Mother's Day brunch was a complete disaster from start to finish, and I'm still shocked at how little the staff seemed to care. We booked a reservation for noon, arrived a bit early at 11:55, and still stood around for 25-30 minutes after our reservation time. The lobby was a zoo, packed with other annoyed people, and all the staff kept saying was that they were "short-staffed." I mean, it's Mother's Day--how is that a surprise? If you can't handle the number of people, maybe don't accept so many reservations. Once we finally got seated, under a freezing, breezy AC duct, things got even more confusing. They gave us two menus: one was a brunch "all-you-can-eat" kind of deal, and the other was a two-sided paper menu with the dinner options on one side and cocktails on the other. This paper menu even had a QR code that literally said, and I quote, "Brunch EVERY Saturday and Sunday - scan for menu." (I've attached a picture of the menu to this review.) So, naturally, we scanned it. We all chose what we wanted, simple stuff like the American breakfast - you know, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes. Nothing complicated at all. But then our server finally shows up, and he tells us we can't order from the brunch menu we just scanned. Instead, we had to pick from this ridiculously overpriced prix fixe brunch menu that none of us actually wanted. And here's the kicker: not once during the reservation process, or when we arrived, did anyone bother to tell us that we'd be stuck with a prix fixe menu and super limited choices. If you're going to do that, at least give people a heads up! We tried to explain that we just wanted a simple breakfast - stuff that was actually on both the regular menu and the prix fixe menu. The server said he'd get the manager. The manager showed up and was even ruder, insisting we could only order from the prix fixe brunch or the dinner menu, even with the QR code and the paper menu right there in front of him. He argued with us, completely ignored our concerns (the menu literally says EVERY Saturday and Sunday until 3 PM!), and when I pointed that out to him, he said people are always looking for loopholes (WHAT?!). Then, as he walked away, he sarcastically said, "Happy Mother's Day" to my wife. I told him this was going in their review, and he just shrugged. Unbelievable. At that point, we'd had it. We just got up and left, hungry and upset, and had to pay for downtown parking just to be treated like we were bothering them. Luckily, we found another restaurant nearby that actually cared about their customers and didn't try to pull a bait-and-switch with secret menus and rude people. Honestly, STK Steakhouse ruined our Mother's Day brunch, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're planning something special. I commented to the group how revealing the female staff attire appeared, which the males happily replied This place is supposed to have a night club vibe. He also over charged us $37 on 2 glasses of red wine. This error was corrected without incident. More staffing on a Friday night would certainly improve service. The flavor, texture and the light smokey flavor made the burger some of the best we've tried. My friend and I got a lunch burger and a $45 lunch special. The salad was half price but same portion as the regular portion. The ribeye was okay but my friend's burger made up for it. We sampled each other's food and it was way more than we can reasonably eat. Pretty quiet when we went so service was top notch and we had an amazing Friday lunch! We went for date night to celebrate our anniversary and for the steak night in America deal. We had a great time. There was a DJ in the back spinning good tunes and it was vibes! Right ratio of watermelon to tequila. We had the lil brgs and the Caesar salad to start. The lil brgs were great and so flavorful. The Caesar was HUGE! My husband had the NY strip and I had the filet. Mine was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! We ordered the Waygu umami butter to go on top. Someone came and melted it table side (which seemed a bit much but it was fun). The Mac and cheese and asparagus as sides were perfect. The Mac came in a nice skillet with all the melty cheese on top. We also had a bottle of Prosecco to share. We had the bag o donuts for dessert. The raspberry was the best sauce. The chocolate had a weird after taste. The Dulce de leche didn't stick to the donut very well. Overall it was SO much food we have an entire 2nd meal for dinner tonight. Over server was great. There was at least a 10 minute work. From that point after place the food the appetizers came out within 10 minutes but over 50 mins later and the food still hasn't come out. While the management stopped by the table and checked in asked us about our travel there was no acknowledgement of the RIDICULOUS wait times. -- the food eventually arrived at 11:29 p.m. nearly ninety minutes later right before they closed might i add. The one thing i can say I did enjoy about the experience was the vibe. Nice good music and upscale aesthetic. i have never been thrilled about the hype and won't be back to return for the experience. After being seated the music was so damn loud it felt more like a club, I had to yell to talk to my wife who is 2 feet in front of me. Because we couldn't hear eachother. The only complaint I have was I got the 6oz filet and the 3 grilled shrimp. The disappointment part was how small the shrimp were. I dined here for the first time last night. I feel that Denver has many good restaurants. This is one of them. For parking, there are a few parking garages within reasonable walking distance to the restaurant. There is also street parking. I love how STK sits directly on a Main Street in downtown Denver. As you enter the restaurant, STK has a simple yet elegant appearance. It also has a pleasant vibe. This is one of the many reasons I love upscale steakhouses. I also suggest making reservations. I called them on Saturday to confirm their hours being that it was a holiday weekend. After confirming restaurant hours for Sunday, the gentleman who answered the phone asked if I wanted to make a dinner reservation. Of course I agreed to it. I was transferred to another staff member who made the reservation. I was very pleased with the level of customer service I received. I was seated at a table next to their front window. It wasn't long before a waitress arrived to take my drink order. She answered questions about different cuts of steak on the menu. For my meal, I ordered the Dry Aged Delmonico with Wagyu Umami butter on top with Au Poivre steak sauce on the side. The server took out a hand held torch and melted the butter on the steak. Phenomenal steak!!! It's probably the best I've had in Denver. The butter and steak sauce were wonderful accompaniments to a delicious cut of steak. I ordered two sides as well. The Parmesan Crusted Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Crispy Brussel Sprouts. The Brussel Sprouts have bacon and a cider glaze as well. I'm not a big mashed potatoes person. However, STK's mashed potatoes are phenomenal as well! I would return here for the mashed potatoes alone. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts are delicious, however, I liked the mashed potatoes slightly better. Also, I recommend asking for their fresh baked bread. I wasn't offered it. However, so glad I asked for it. The bread comes out on a bread board where it's in an iron skillet. It's doused in butter with herbs and it comes with a dipping sauce. Too bad I was so full to finish the bread. I passed on dessert and coffee. They do offer some delicious dessert options such as Bag O Donuts, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake, Apple Pie and Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie. I will order dessert the next time I visit. Speaking of, I can't wait to visit here again! This place surprised me! Excellent service. Staff is friendly and hospitable. My only feedback would be to have a manager stop by tables to see how patrons are enjoying their meal and experience. I always love when restaurants do this. Especially classy ones. My partner and I were looking to celebrate our anniversary so we decided to celebrate at STK. The food and drinks are so incredibly overpriced. We got no drinks, regular Mac and cheese, 2 sliders and the donut bites. It was $100 dollars. I think that is absolutely ridiculous. The food was okay but not worth the price. We were one of maybe 10 other tables and we felt like our server was rushing us out. I understand going out to a steak house and not getting a mains or drinks but we had time to kill before we met up with friends and didn't feel like having a big meal. So disappointing. read more

We came here on a weekend at lunch around 12:30, and the place was pretty much empty at the time we ordered, we were the only table and a few people at the bar. We ordered fried Calamari, shrimp scampi, and steak sandwich. The ambiance of the restaurant is fun and such a cool space. Our waitress was great and I ordered a drink and it was fantastic. However, the bad news was the food. It was very mediocre. The calamari was basic, the shrimp scampi was very Olive Garden and greasy, and the steak sandwich was like Applebees, which was supposed to be shaved and wasn't. Also, when we got our food, it wasn't cooked properly. The shrimps were iridescent and undercooked and the steak sandwich was basically raw. We had waited 20 minutes for the first round and then waited another 20 for the redo of the meal. If you are looking for a cool place to get drinks, then go here. Took my boyfriend for their weekday steak night special which is $69/person. This included a bottle of bubbles or wine, 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 sides and a dessert. I thought this would be such a great treat for his birthday. Upon arrival I asked for the steak night menu, our server mildly scoffed and grabbed us the menus. We were trying to decide between bubbles or wine when our server told us we could have two cocktails EACH instead. We opted for that since my boyfriend doesn't care for bubbles or wine. Our server paid almost no attention to us the entire time, even though there were only 5 other tables in the entire resturant. He spent all his time chatting up the table behind us, while we were constantly out of water and waiting for service. The manager finally came by and refilled our waters and checked on how our dinner were. When the check was brought to the table the total was $220... I don't know what kind of math Robert was doing.. but it was not "mathing". The total should have been $138 before tax since we didn't order anything extra. I asked the server about it, he talked with his manager and told me that it's only 1 cocktail per person on steak night, not 2. I paid the bill and left. When I got home I took a closer look at the attached receipt - the manager only comped two drinks off the tab, but still charged us for 2 cocktails that should have been included since we didn't get bubbles or wine. I called and left a message to talk about this and no one got back to me. Excuse me if I am wrong, but we should not have had to pay for any cocktails especially because the server told us it was two EACH included in the $69/person. We essentially received no free drinks and paid for two. Not only was the service at an upscale resturant worse than a Burger King, but they didn't do anything to accommodate for overcharging me on a special that they offer I assume just to get people through the door. This is my second experience at STK and it will be my last considering my $138 wasn't good enough for the server to provide decent service to all guests. I will not be back and I will not be recommending STK to anyone. If you read this, beware of additional charges, "mistakes", and poor service if you're still spending a lot, just not as much as the table beside you. read more

As the mother being celebrated that day, what should have been a special Mother's Day turned into a frustrating disappointment. After standing for 25 minutes past our reservation time, I was looking forward to a simple, enjoyable brunch with my family who had planned this special outing for me. When we scanned the QR code clearly marked "Brunch EVERY Saturday and Sunday until 3p" on their menu, I was excited to order the American breakfast - nothing fancy, just eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. Instead of accommodation, we were met with resistance and told we could only order from an expensive prix fixe menu that wasn't mentioned during our reservation process. The manager's dismissive attitude was particularly hurtful. After refusing our reasonable request and arguing with my family who was simply trying to make my day special, his insincere "Happy Mother's Day" as he walked away felt like salt in the wound. What should have been a celebration became a source of stress. We ultimately left, found another restaurant, and salvaged the day - but the memory of how we were treated at STK remains a disappointing part of what should have been a purely joyful Mother's Day. read more

While the service and overall ambiance of the restaurant was excellent; I'll say the food was not up to par what so ever for the amount spent and for the brand that STK represents. The wife and I came here for a date nite while we are visiting Denver from Las Vegas. We have always talked about trying this chain in Vegas and since we were in town we thought we might as well give it a go. We ordered the A5 wagyu potstickers for our APP (which came out 5 minutes after ordering) and to be transparent they were Luke warm and had the taste of 20 minute old potstickers that were waiting to be sent out to whoever would order them next. The flavor was there but couldn't get past the past tense taste, for $35 you would expect these to be fresh. Our entree, we went with the dry aged tomahawk steak, Au Gratin potato, an seasonal veg; the sides were amazing, but the steak I would say was underwhelming and did not showcase the $168 price point. First this cut of meat was ordered medium and came out med rare minus at best; it seems the initial cook was definitely rare cause you noticed the extra seared that was applied to the cut meat, and even then it was still under. The overall taste we lacked the buttery flavor you would expect from a dry aged steak which led us to question the authenticity of their aging process. The meat overall was tough and while it was seasoned the sauces were definitely needed. Our server & manager was very attentive and ensured we had some of our misses fixed , but I would say that there definitely was a higher expectation when it came to our overall experience . WOW!!! What an amazing experience this was!!! Went with a party of 5 and we had the absolute best time/service!! I wish I remembered the name of our waiter because he was AMAZING! Went to STK Denver and found the experience average overall. We went before the Kraftwerk concert. Here is what I think about STK Denver: Cesar Salad: Decent flavor. Server offered to split it for us due to portion size -- a nice gesture, but the plates were too small, making it awkward to eat. Bread: Looked appealing, but taste was unimpressive. Main Course: I ordered the Australian Flat Iron from the Wagyu selection -- steak was very good, but the $13 truffle butter was not worth it. Lobster Pasta: My friend said it was really good. Service: Decent, attentive but not exceptional. Ambiance: Stylish but felt pretentious. Total bill: $340 for two -- not justified by the food or overall experience. I miss Morton's -- similar prices, but far better flavors and overall experience. Would I return? Only if I had to. read more

Celebrated parents' 41st anniversary here. It was quite extravagant (on the part of the server) - he lit up sparkles and candles for us and drew pretty on a plate. Therefore, service was top notch, but it was also a $600 bill for the four of us! That said, the food was under-impressing. Especially the salad (sharable) which set me back at $25! Honestly a Mad Greens large salad at half the price tasted much crisper and way better. The bread was awful, it felt like an underbaked muffin with a soft center where the dough sticks to the teeth, ugh. Drinks were OK but they were also over $20 a piece! The steaks were by far not the best I've ever had. Even the A5 was stringy. The sides were God-send and probably the best thing we ate at this feat! Parmesan Truffle Fries were the best of its kind I've ever had. The cut, the level of doneness (yes, even to potatoes), and the dip were out of this world. The Sweet Corn Pudding? So yummy I considered it a dessert! (Didn't have room for other sweet treats anyway so it worked out!) The ambience of the restaurant was very modern and artistic. They let us have a table in the area that's not where the weekend brunch goers sat which was considerate but the table was too low and tight.
