TLDR: I'm giving 2 stars I would have given 0 if not for the bartender and FOH staff. That is ALL. I will not be back and I will not try this place again which breaks my heart because it is not the staff's fault. I ordered the crab cake initially I took one bite and had to work to not gag from the salt (I love seafood if you see my other reviews) then got meatballs because I thought not seafood meat can't be as deathly salty but these meatballs made me cry. Utterly Disappointing Experience. Not Worth the Hype or the Price. Not deserving of the 1 star rating but that's the minimum required. We were visiting Denver and wanted to treat ourselves to a solid steakhouse dinner. The glowing reviews online made this place seem like the spot to be. Big mistake. Upon arrival, the hostess took 20-30 minutes to seat us--even though the restaurant was nearly empty. There were at least half a dozen open tables in the same area we eventually got sat in. That alone should've been our cue to leave. Once seated, the music was blaring at an obnoxiously high volume. Our server literally had to shout to introduce herself. It felt more like a chaotic nightclub than a fine dining establishment. We received water fairly quickly and placed our appetizer and entrée orders. Then came the waiting game. It took another 30 minutes just to get the complimentary bread. When the food finally arrived, things only got worse. The $100 dry-aged steak was nowhere near the requested doneness. The truffle pasta came with a sad sprinkle of black truffle--almost insulting for the price. The Wagyu was completely overcooked--burnt to a crisp--and everything, without exception, was drowning in salt. Every single bite was pucker-inducing and borderline inedible. This place doesn't know what it wants to be: a "high-end" steakhouse, a sports bar, or a flashy Instagram backdrop. Whatever it's aiming for, it fails miserably. The dishes are outrageously overpriced for what you get. Honestly, the $30 Caesar salad was the best thing we had--and even that was something I could easily make better at home. The chimichurri was flat and flavorless, and while the mushroom pot pie had potential, it too was ruined by a heavy hand with salt. If you're coming here for a quality steak, save yourself the disappointment. You'd get a better meal--and better service--at Texas Roadhouse. This place was a complete waste of time, money, and appetite. To top it all off, the service was terrible. The waitress cleared plates while we were still eating our $40 truffle fries. Unbelievable. Goodness me! Never had vibe dining before but I can say that we really did enjoy the experience. The music is louder but the songs are bangers for millennials. Molly the hostess was able to get us to our reserved table without much issue. Seating is comfortable and the open layout with the complimentary lighting made the space feel very large but the room between tables made it feel private. Food was great! My sea bass was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Highly recommend. Oysters on the half shell were delightful and highly recommended something from their drink list. Fancy! Our server Dre really made the night amazing. Her service and professionalism was truly remarkable. The steak was nice size 6oz filet and some delish pancakes. I'm a bit of a pancake connoisseur and I really liked the texture and overall pancake. He was decent, definitely not memorable. The restaurant is very trendy and cool! I loved it and when we went there were tons of other couples celebrating anniversaries. They dropped off special drinks to their tables to celebrate which was a nice touch. Overall, the food was underwhelming. Highly recommend to stay away from this place!!!!! I first experienced STK in Las Vegas. Where the food was excellent service was great. I decided to try the Denver location yesterday, being a Denver resident assumed it would be as good as Vegas. But unfortunately, it was absolutely horrible. We got there in between 630 and 7:30 PM. "Prime time" first thing I noticed was that the place was not very full maybe 25% capacity. My girlfriend and I were starving so we ordered a salad and a clam chowder soup right away before we put in the main course. It took almost 40 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we got our first appetizer. We both order the same salad, which we actually wanted to share, but they decided to bring us to assuming to bring that price tag up. We ordered the wedge mine was a nice wedge with the proper amount of dressing on it decently plated. My girlfriend's was broken up, and it looked like the dressing was put on with a gravy scooper. Needless to say it was not good and for that price absolutely not. Then I moved to the clam chowder, which was barely warm and was literally the smallest cup of soup I've ever seen in my life for $17. During that time we had put on our order for the main course which my girlfriend had Japanese Wagyu steak grade 5 a minimum of 3 ounces. I ordered a fillet done peppercorn style, which was extra money and then also added a $50 crab Oscar style. The main course of the mail also took about another 45 minutes to come out. Once it did, it was mediocre at best as you'll see from the pictures. I found multiple pieces of shell in my crab meat and part of the tendon from the leg. I have had Oscar style many of times it uses 100% pure crab meat. You definitely should not get shell for a $47 up charge. The stake temperature was cooked incorrectly and again it was barely warm. I actually ended up not even eating a couple ounces of my steak. The Wagyu was mediocre best. We also ordered one side of green beans, snow, peas, and snap peas, which there was barely any snap peas and basically served us a bowl of garlic with vegetables in it. I have never seen more garlic and oil in a small bowl of vegetables in my life. Like I said if you're in Vegas, definitely stop by STK, but as far as this one in Denver, I would absolutely save your money and eat anywhere else besides this place. read more

The $9.99 burger is an incredible value, but apparently at that price they aren't expected to actually cook it. If you order it medium, it comes cold and raw in the center. If you order it well-done, it still comes cold and raw in the center. (See the review 10 posts down from this one if you want a visual - it's exactly the same). I've ordered the burger multiple times for my son and myself, because I'm an optimist, but 6+ burgers later nothing has changed. I'd be irritated, but at some point someone who orders a well-done burger and gets it raw is going to wind up hospitalized with E. coli and then they will sue the pants off of STK. Sadly that will mean no more STK and no more value burgers but also no more people blindly biting into raw ground beef, which is maybe a good thing? I don't know, I enjoy Elway's and Del Frisco's very much for steak, but I'll pass on this place. If the chefs can't even execute a hamburger, I don't have much faith that they can cook a ribeye. read more

The vibe was fantastic - the staff was clearly enjoying themselves and you can't go wrong with sparklers in the center of a platter filled with shots. Everything we tried here was delicious. Mimosa and bloody Mary station with tons of fixings, a variety of mini cocktails to try for booze was on point. For food, the burger sliders, tuna tartar and lobster Benedict were . The Caesar salad was nothing to write home about and the chicken and waffles could have used more sauce, but this is me being nitpicky. This has to be one of the worst steakhouses in Denver. Our bill totaled over $400, yet it took an hour and a half for us to receive our steaks. When they finally arrived, the steaks were tough and overcooked. After informing the staff, they offered to recook the steak, but the second attempt was even worse than the first. We then asked if we could order something else instead, but they refused, stating that we would still be charged for the original steak--even though we had to send it back because it was medium well instead of the medium rare we had requested. For a restaurant with such high prices, you would expect not only quality food but also decent service. Unfortunately, this place delivered neither. The overall experience was incredibly disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a good steakhouse in Denver. read more

Music was energetic and floral Arrangements beautiful. To be very honest I was disappointed in their Christmas Prime Rib Dinner. The meat was sliced wonky and once large fat portion removed there was not much meat. I will say the sauces on the side were relishes and the green beans had great crunch. Was in town for a conference and came here after seeing their flyer at the convention center. They had a pre fix promo that seemed reasonable so we decided to go. The vibe is more of a trendy steakhouse with some elements of nightlife- they have a live DJ playing generic top 40s/house remixes and it can be a little loud. While we weren't committed to the pre fix menu, the regular menu just seemed to have exorbitant prices. I'm glad that we still opted for the pre fix menu since the food here was so bad that it wasn't even worth taking pictures. We got a $29 calamari as an additional appetizer, and the batter fell right off the calamari when you picked it up to eat. The ceasar salad is a big portion that is heavy on the sauce. We got the ribeye and lobster butter as our main and it was not worth even the pre fix price. It was so salty and tough to cut/chew. The creamed spinach is also on the salty side so you're just eating salt on more salt. The mashed potatoes actually was not bad but my taste buds were just so done that I couldn't enjoy the meal. We had a nice server that was attentive to us and tried to be understanding of our feedback of the food when we were settling our bill. However the manager that came over to check up on us had such a terrible demeanor that he should not be in hospitality. Overall, it was a dining experience that's best forgotten. Went for a special occasion for the first time after hearing good things. Appetizers are around $30, sides around $20 and our Surf and Turf was $89 each. Total bill with 20% tip was $371. The ambience felt nice, great service but the food was VERY average. For a close to $100 lobster tail and 6oz steak it should've blown my socks off, but it was just "fine". The sides were worse, lacking flavor in both the mashed potatoes and mac snd cheese. Our overall experience was just fine but we would not come here again. I've been to 5 star restaurants for cheaper that've blown my socks off. Nothing here felt like it was even close to the price tag that it came with. Not to mention the restaurant was completely empty aside from 4 other tables on a Friday night at 7pm. In reality this establishment needs no introduction, Fine dining at its finest. After making reservations the seating is lovely, whether you are on a date or amongst a group of 6. The aesthetics of the decor makes it feel like you are on some type of titanic. This particular night the DJ was fantastic with a clean mixture of 90s hip hop with modern music, literally mixed very well! But anyways, the drinks are prepared skillfully, I had ordered a cocktail with cucumber and bunch of other spirits which was real refreshing. Last but not least, the food is 5 star, my dish of braised short rib was done to perfection. So tender and atop of a mashed potatoes and sauce... the sides are large to share with your table. We went here after landing in Denver from New York. I was hungry and wanted a steak. That was until I saw that the pleasure of a relatively small piece of meat would cost me on average $70, a la carte. So I ordered a mushroom truffle pasta in cream sauce. Still expensive at almost $50, but truffles are also expensive to cook with. The waitress (who was very nice and trying to be helpful) asked if I would like a protein on the pasta. I asked what they had. She suggested the short ribs. So, as for the quality of the dish, it was a soggy mess of over-creamed pasta. The mushroom and truffle were completely drowned (if they were actually in there) by a nauseatingly heavy cream. The short rib topping was fine, but when mixed it was also just a sloppy mess. Here's the kicker: we get the check and I am charged for the pasta, and then, for the "added protein" of short ribs, another $40!! They wanted to charge me about $90 dollars for a plate of mediocre pasta. I said no. I spoke to the waitress and told her it was unacceptable. She spoke to the manager and they took $20 off the bill. I am still fuming that I purchased a $70 plate of pasta. Never, ever, ever will I set foot in an STK ever again. If you are silly enough to waste your money here, then good for you. Too many amazing restaurants with great vibes to be willingly ripped off by a third rate steakhouse. read more
