Sorry, what? I haven't reviewed Stock yet? That is absurd. I LOVE Stock! It's one of my favorite restaurants in all of Richmond. Eating in the show room especially is an experience, though I also love sitting at their bar. Their mocktails and cocktails are amazing. I love the lingonberry mocktail. Their specialty soup is wildly good and perfect for the winter. And whether it's lunch or dinner, I have to order the schnitzel in one shape or form! It's so delightful on every account. I have been several times at this point, and I've brought a variety of folks along with me (my mom, my boyfriend, friends from out of town, friends from in town...) and I've never once had a bad experience. Stock is the definition of 5 stars! Prices are reasonable for the quality, and everyone is so nice who works there too. Make a reservation!

$40+ prime rib ordered medium came out almost rare. Sent back, returned overcooked. Brussels sprouts were only vegetable option that night, and since I'd already had them twice that week, the only alt offered was more potatoes. Stick with appetizers and salads- the salad and fried Gouda were fab!

Stock bistro and bar is one of my favorite spots for a special night out in richmond! Eating in the showroom is an absolute treat! And the staff is kind and knowledgable. The main dining room is comfortable and well lit!

We've had the best dining experiences at Stock Bistro & Bar! The food is absolutely amazing and the business is such a unique idea. The restaurant is located in a furniture store. You can choose to eat in the dedicated dining area, the outside patio, or right in the furniture showroom. We like the showroom so we're able to walk around and check out all the furniture while we wait for our food. The fried gouda is like massive egg rolls completely full of cheese. Our entrees were the schnitzel sub, fried oyster sandwich, and gooouda smash burger - they have all been cooked perfectly and tender and the bread is so soft. Even the fries are seasoned well. The cookies & pot de creme was very chocolatey and decadent. The mermaid's fate cocktail was a sweet lemon drink. They don't have lemonade on the menu but the bartender made me a delicious one. Overall, our visits are always such a lovely treat and we couldn't recommend it more! Reservations can be made on OpenTable and they have their own parking lot.

We went for brunch and it's a really cool place. Yes it really is a furniture store and they have tables. You can Aeden throughout the display floor, but you need a reservation to get one of those. We were often when the small rooms in the front that doesn't have the furniture. We have spent some time in Scandinavia and we definitely found food that we saw there. I would say the food was quite yummy and the French press coffee was incredible. We look forward to trying their happy hour.

I took my mother here for a birthday dinner. We had a great time our waitress, Jasmine, was phenomenal. My mom, sister, and I got nonalcoholic mixed drinks that we enjoyed. My niece did get a cocktail that she said was very good. We ordered and shared the charcuterie board. It was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I must say the ambience the customer service really made this a great experience! The other plus is that the restaurant has great parking. We all definitely plan on coming back.

Shared a great experience here for RRW. The entire evening was seamless. Staff was warm, happy hour was generous, all three courses were flavorful and fresh. We were sat in the dining room but explored the furniture warehouse after. Surprised to see so many seated amongst the items for sale. A very unique experience!

Our view to one side of our table--we had the most beautiful seat in the middle of their showroom!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted and treated with such warm hospitality. The hostess shared some of the history of Stock and Txtur and told us about the old train building that beautifully compliments the artisan made furniture and accessories. We had the option to sit in the showroom or dining room--obviously, we opted to sit in their beautiful showroom. As large and stunning as it is, it felt like an elevated, private dining experience, perfect as we were there celebrating our anniversary (with my 11 year old and mother in law). The food was incredible--we started with the Kapsalon, and my only regret is having to share. Sweet, lightly spicy and the hand cut fries were beautifully balanced with the fresh, crisp lettuce, multi-color cherry tomatoes and English cucumbers. Next time, I'll get this as my meal and won't share! My MIL got the schnitzel sandwich which was cooked perfectly. The bread it was on was sturdy enough to support the heft of the schnitzel, but still light and crunchy! My daughter had the rye blueberry & bacon pancakes--we were surprised that the bacon was chopped up in the batter, but she thought it was amazing! She had three large pancakes and we took 1.5 home. It's rare that she ever wants leftovers, but she wasn't leaving those pancakes behind! My husband, the vegetarian, had a number of options and opted for the blomkalsuppe (cauliflower & havarti soup). It was SO tasty, topped with crunchy croutons. He was also able to easily partake in the appetizer, because they easily accommodated our ask for the shawarma to be put on the side. The winner of dessert was the cookies & cream panna cotta...it was thick, rich and decadent! The rosemary cake (I can't remember the name) was a nice, fresh citrus and rosemary flavor, but a little too dry for me (this is absolutely typical for this type of cake, I just always forget). Lucky for me, my daughter couldn't finish her panda cotta! As we were eating, we were already planning our next visit. My sister and her fiancé who live in NYC and regularly eat at Michelin star restaurants will be visiting for Christmas, and we're absolutely bringing them here. I can't wait!!

I'm sad it took me so long to try this spot! This is not only a great spot for a dinner date, but also a fabulous furniture store. Who knew the two would go so well together! We were greeted immediately for our reservation and sat in their comfortably bright dining room. Also, I'd love to mention the East Fork Pottery they used for tableware was *perfection*. We started off dinner with an order of the Fried Gouda with Sweet Sambal Chili Sauce and a cocktail, Bilar Buzz - thick Aperol Spritz with an aroma of rhubarb. They were as good as it sounds. For our main course, we had the Schnitzel and Planstek. The steak was cooked perfectly and was paired with a cucumber salad that was the best palate cleanser. You have to try this spot.

Nice atmosphere and food was really delicious. On site parking was a plus. Wednesdays was half price bottles of wine.

A must stop in the downtown Richmond area!…read more It's truly a speakeasy with the door posing as a bookshelf. To get in, you must know the password or tell the host a joke that makes him laugh. We were escorted in and quickly noticed that this was more than a speakeasy-it was a full restaurant. We stopped in for drinks, but it was nice to have tapas. I got the popcorn with the Tequilla lime butter, which was the perfect balance of salt. I had a mezcal drink which was perfect! I'm such a fan of mezcal and am excited when I see it on the menu. Our waitress was a delight-super attentive and also a bartender so she was able to answer all of our drink questions. It was very spacious with outdoor seating. Definitely a 10/10 experience. I would definitely go again!

He asked for the password and we, unprepared, had to tell him a joke or an interesting fact. Luckily, my partner had one on hand. The atmosphere was lovely, very reminiscent of a 1920s speakeasy, or at least what you'd imagine it to be like. Our server came by within a few minutes of us being seated. She lacked enthusiasm, unlike the host, unfortunately. Her service turned out to be lackluster as well. We ordered the chicken pot pie and the filet mignon with asparagus. For drinks, the Grape Gatsby and Maine root beer. The food, like our server, lacked appeal. The saving grace was the host and the atmosphere. The view was lovely and the intimacy of the setting was a welcome experience. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding, and it was tasty, though nothing special. The burned odor that we smelled prior to its arrival turned out to be the bread. I can recommend Grandstaff and Stein as an experience, but you should not expect much in the way of culinary delights or exemplary service. We probably won't be back, but if you've never been, it's worth trying at least once.

The staff were polite, but we had to ask several times to get items we were missing or things we wanted extras of. They checked in on us a fair number of times, but they still forgot to return to give us what we had asked for. By the time we were ready to leave, we still haven't gotten our dressings or our condiments. I also had asked for my burger to be well done, but I got a burger with quite a bit of pink in it. I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.

The restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated on the patio quickly. That evening, they had a pasta al a vodka special but I still got the lamb burger with fries. We also got the pork bowl, which was HUGE and the table favorite. The bowl had rice, beans, pineapple, shredded pork, tomatoes and pickled onions. I love the amount of food and all the toppings. It was kind of elevated chipotle! We finished the evening with coconut cream pie and a couple more Coors lights. The coconut cream pie was fluffy and slightly sweet. The only thing is the crust was a bit hard, but it was still very yummy!

Their menu is interesting, but I have to say I was disappointed to not find vegetarian options for their pizzas. There might have been one, but for a truly artistic place in such a liberal, artsy area, they should have had more options. Service was mixed - Our main server was forgetful and spacey... We would ask for things and he'd acknowledge and walk away only to come back a few minutes later and ask what we asked him for. Come on... Do better, management! As for the food - The pizzas really needed a slightly higher temperature and about 30 seconds more. The meatballs were cold inside and the sauce was luke warm. The Calabrian cauliflower was also on the cool side - very odd considering we saw char marks on them. Hmm... The flavor of the pizzas was nice though, but it would have been so much better if it was a little more charred and crusty. Overall - This was on my 'hit list' for visiting the downtown Richmond area, that's why I brought colleagues here for dinner, unfortunately it didn't deliver - far from it.
