It's next to impossible to park here. Very small and noisy. All of the guests seem to be women. Service is great and informed. Food is local and seasonal, and unconventional as are the drinks. Food prep is literally in front of you. I had the strawberry...a bourbon based drink that was light and summery. I had a market salad, that was simple but amazing (fresh lettuces!) and a sausage that was equally surprisingly amazing!

Ploughman's platter with 12.00 of tuna, some odd pickled vegetables, sourdough, a thimble of interesting jam and some kind of butter.

A friend kept suggesting Grace for a meetup and I love trying new places so I was eager to try. Unfortunately I was completely underwhelmed by the experience. I'm not really sure what the food direction is here, but I was intrigued to give it a try as every other venture in this particular corner has suffered from an odd Bermuda Triangle of food fails and flops that make you wonder if there is a witches curse that needs to be broken. If that's the case I would be very surprised if Grace finally breaks that curse. It's a strange, small and inexplicably expensive menu. It's a cozy venue with a fab wood burning stove and the staff and owner were all very pleasant. But the food aesthetic is just off the mark in my opinion. I can see the emphasis is on fresh ingredients but a ploughman's platter shouldn't require cashing out your 401k. If you want to add any protein, you'll probably have to liquidate the IRA too. A few pieces of toasty, yummy sourdough couldn't really save the rest of the platter which was weirdly incohesive. We added a micro dish of unremarkable tuna for 12.00. The portion was equivalent to about a third of a can of tuna for reference even though this was supposedly fancier?? There was a nice butter spread that needed salt, a tiny thimble of odd jam, and a dish of very vinegary veggies that were difficult to identify, a green bean, a leaf of Swiss shard, a beet? Who knows? It was such an odd pairing and somehow even without adding any meat or cheese which would have required cashing out my kids 529, I'm not entirely sure what we ate. My friend agreed she wouldn't be coming back any time soon after leaving and contemplating how she might have to sell a kidney on EBay to pay for the 4 pieces of sourdough and weird pickled vegetable melange. Not sure what Grace is going for, but whatever it is, it's missing the mark. It makes me sad because the staff and owner are clearly trying to present a proud, fresh, food forward take. I really wanted to like this place, but won't be back.

Serving portions are more than enough and the starters could be eaten as a meal. We went for a date night without a reservation and ate at the bar. The bartender, Zach was really in his element. He made the experience even better. Wonderful experience. We will be back every season to see the changing menu options.

Initial observations were that the vibe was cozy and cute but I was thrilled I brought a cardigan. It was rather chilly inside. For drinks, my boyfriend had a glass of orange wine and I ordered their turmeric mocktail, which tasted like a health food drink (in a good way). We also started with the rolls and butter. That butter was stellar. For our entrees, I ordered the fresh catch, which was flounder, and my bf had the rabbit ravioli with a side of beans. He cleared his dishes and also finished off what I couldn't eat of mine. Everything was really quite tasty. It seemed like a popular birthday celebration spot too, as two tables were marking the occasion. We were too stuffed for dessert. Prices were reasonable for the quality and aside from being chilly, I really enjoyed myself.

Plus I had heard great things about their Neapolitan pizza, so I was hyped to try it. Sooo bad news. The pizzas apparently weren't selling well enough, so they no longer offer them, nor will they be bringing them back in the future. They do have empanadas instead, though, which were quite tasty. I liked the margherita and the spinach ricotta. We also ordered a charcuterie plate after our server suggested it instead of the olives. Sadly it only had four olives on the plate, so we rationed. I wasn't a super huge fan of the plate, as it was heavy on crackers. I would've liked to see more variety for the price, including perhaps some fresh bread and more pickles. My boyfriend and my mom split crab fritters, and they really loved those. Between us, we purchased two wine flights and my mom had a moscato. They were out of many options, so perhaps they were in between inventory. The wines they did have were all great. I'd say overall our visit was nice. It wasn't groundbreaking by any means, and I'd be more likely to go to some of the other wine shops in the area first before returning -- but I do see a lot of potential here.
