Any burger you eat and then dream about rates a 5 star from me. Let me break it down for y'all: Jezzabelle Burger. It's delicious. It wasn't listed on the menu, but the sign right by the front entry said "try our jezzabelle burger," so I'm not sure if it's seasonal or a special. Actually, let me take that back. This jezzabelle is very special! Cream cheese on top of the beef patty, raspberry jelly, lettuce, mayo, and heaven. Seriously. The price was very reasonable to the size of the burger. I believe I paid somewhere around $4 for the burger, and about $3.50 for a whopping side of onion rings that 3 people all shared, plus they were uber-crispy and perfectly fried!. My fellow Stomper's tried the turkey burger and the Outlaw Burger. The turkey was nothing to write home about. It was semi-dry and not very flavorful, even with guac on top. The Outlaw was more than a mouthful. Covered in diced pickled jalapenos, you've gotta make sure your waitress sees to your water early and often! Overall Stomp's was exactly what I expected and more! If you're ever in Kemah, be sure to take the short drive down Hwy 146 to this local Bacliffe burger joint and you won't be dissapointed! read more

We stopped by this place after going to Kemah. The parking is a little wonky (in a grass lot) and the restaurant was a little out of the way. However, we called ahead for 15 people and they set up an entire bench for us! I ordered a veggie burger with sweet potato fries. Great burger joint. Simple list of burgers that covers basically any taste. Honky Tonk is probably my favorite. It has bbq sausage on it and some great sauce. Perfect burger. The rest is also great. First off: Stomp's is great. Not just OK, but Great. The prices are good, the sides are AMPLE, and the burgers are large and in charge . A great deal for the money. Small shack with good food. I recommend the Round Up if you like chili cheese fries. They add bacon bits and sour cream (I don't like guacamole so I get it without) and it's delicious. The kids and I split it whenever we go. The burgers are nicely seasoned, big portions, lots of fixings, depending on what kind you get. Skip the normal ones and take a look at their specialties, you'll find something for everyone. The plain fries and the onions rings are pretty good, too. You can add cherry, vanilla or chocolate syrup to your drink, which makes for a nice treat. Ask about their desserts, they don't have them listed on the website, but they're worth checking out. All in all, with the atmosphere and the service, it feels like a small town type of place. The kind of place everyone in town likes to go to and for good reason. Fantastic!! I heard a lot of people talk about this place so decided to give it a try. The cheesy chicken dip appetizer was really good... shredded white meat chicken in creamy cheese mmmm!! Jezzabelle Burger, I'm pretty sure you can't beat a burger with cream cheese on it... and the burgers are cooked perfect, I love the slight crispy crust on the meat. Also tried their chicken wrap, great grilled white meat chicken and it's a big wrap.... and don't forget their onion rings, lightly battered so you actually get a true onion ring and not just batter. The atmosphere is really cool and laid back country style and they have 2 flatscreens as well to catch a little football on a Sunday. Lastely their prices... cheap!! I usually love this place but I am giving a review that averages our meals. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and loved it. He goes it a 5. I ordered the fish fillet sandwich and I was not impressed. I give a 1. The filets were scrawny and looked like skeleton fingers. The amount of fish was 1/4 compared to the breading. Stomp's offers a very good, tasty, juicy, big homemade, hot burger. This was our first visit so we were hopeful. I compare burgers to my favorite burger spot and Stomp's was just as good as my fav. We both got their special, $9.99 for a cheeseburger combo. I added grilled onions and jalapeno. The both came out piled high with all the trimmings with fries and a large drink. My wife and I decided to finally give this shack on the side of the road a try and I'm glad we did!! My first impression of Stomp's interior was surprise. It is a cozy place that has way more tables than you would think possible and yet isn't crowded at all. There was no smoking inside which is a plus for us because we don't smoke and have a new baby girl. They even have a few nice flat screen televisions for games and movies. I decided on a Buffalo burger on a wheat bun with cheese. The burgers are cooked on a flat top which gives them a nice crust and traps all the juices inside. It was very well cooked and had a great flavor. My wife had one of the specialty burgers called the Outlaw. It was also cooked very well and she enjoyed it however her bun did get a little soggy before she could finish it. If you like a dryer burger I would go with Turkey or Buffalo because the Beef is definitely a ten napkin burger!! We also had the onion rings and fries combo as a side dish. The rings were super thick with a nice crust and the fries were decent. For a shack that we saw them haul in and park next to the road we were pretty impressed. if you like tookies, you'll love stomp's. tookie's and stomps have many of the same recipe burgers...but Stomp's also has a larger variety of interesting burgers than Tookies does. Portions are much more generous and the prices are more reasonable. I also think that tookie's has gotten kind of bland lately, i noted this especially after visiting stomp's for the first time. We had the bacon and eggs burger (ask for it on TX toast for +1 deliciousness) and the philly cheesesteak burger. both were amazing. and huge. They also serve the signature XXL TX Onion rings. they're freaking huge. like the size of a canteloupe. i dont know if these are freak, genetically modified radioactive onions or what....but honestly i don't care because they're prepared perfectly. They serve beer, but no full bar. They also have classic tx desserts like pecan pie, brownies and cobbler. they're known for their brownies! First visit was not that impressed, ordered the frito-bean ditto burger and meat was raw in the middle, also ordered the fries with all the toppings and the fries where also raw in the middle. I had went in and place the order to go and took it back to work or ortherwise they would have been remaking it. the following day I called them back to place the same order to give them another shot at it and told them the burger was raw and the fries where way undercooked. they where rude when I went to pick it up an did not offer any apology to their mistakes on previous day or to make sure I was pleased with this one. I was not looking for a discount or did I get one. I was simply letting them know they made a mistake so that they could fix the problem and keep a customer. Cons: - The food was average. - The food is pricey for what they offer. From the recommendations I got I was expecting a "Greasy Spoon", " Hole-In-The-Wall" "Ma and Pa" Burger Joint. Which was actually the selling point for me. By the looks of the outside that's exactly what I was expecting. However, once inside it was a different story. They had gone to great lengths to replicate that "Side-if-the-Road" Rustic Charm. Everything was designed to look old. :Sigh: The service was stellar. We were greeted with a smile and a pleasant demeanor from start to finish. We were met immediately upon entering and was given menus and drinks shortly after finding our booth. After taking our order, our waitress stopped by several times to ask how our food was, if we needed anything and to refill our drinks. After hearing so many rave reviews about the food, I was less than satisfied with my meal. I was however, pleased with the type of menu options that were available. I ordered the Hog Wild which is a beef patty with rendered bacon mixed in, along with a full side of fries. The burger itself was OK, but there was no bacon flavor at all. This was my first trip and probably my last trip to Stomps. The service was terrible. The waitress asked us if we would like drink refills 1 time, and then she forgot my drink refill. We asked for seperate checks and she "lost" it, and we would have to seperate the checks at the register. At the register, for nearly 10 minutes, we were then over charged.
