This was a great spot for me to set up my laptop and get some work done while eating. I kept it simple - burger with fried onions, French fries and a coke. Service was very good and my spot was comfortable with plenty room even though they were pretty busy. The burger was in the small size, but excellent flavor and moist. The fries were also very good - fresh and well done. I inhaled the burger and fries quickly and was still a little hungry so I added a bowl of the chicken and wild rice soup. It was thick, delicious and filling. Served with small Italian bread slices. Overall a good airport stop and quick bite. read more

Airport restaurant. And they have real human servers and not a touch pads. There is something to be said of what is called good service. If you order from a touch pad do you have to tip. That's the same with the curbside checkin your luggage. Do you tip the skycap to check your bag even though you paid a $25 luggage fee. Luckily Stone Arch has real people. Now you can ask important things like, " do you have any clamoto juice?" Or, " What is the Indeed brewmasters name?" Well, I learned a lot from the people at stone arch, like they only serve craft beer from Minnesota. And what makes a good fatata. The server is so cool he explains any delays and the ladies next to me said they have plenty of time but asked if the drinks were coming right away? You know the are! One of the ladies asked about the menu and the server provide many options and a suggestion. She said she loves suggestions. Well, I had the fatata. It was great. I had a flight of craft beer. Very good food for a restaurant in an airport! Our waitress was juggling several tables including bussing but did a great job. Friendly and efficient! We both had the tomato soup which was hot and tasty!! They came with these great crackers for dipping. I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the house salad. Fresh, cold and very good. Their house made ranch was great. Pricey but typical for good airport good. Quite a surprise to have such a good place on our 5 hour layover! read more

As a Diabetic that has to travel for a living I really try to eat well on the road and not hit fast food joints in the airport, so I checked out Stone Arch and had the Meatloaf. Let me start by saying my server was super sweet and I did come in at the very end of the day, so the fact that my Meatloaf was dry could have been that or just how it is served. It tasted good but there wasn't much of it. It came with mashed potatoes and gravy, which were good and green beans that were fresh; however, you could tell they were fresh, because someone was lazy and didn't clean the stems, which you can see in the pic! The other bar items being brought out looked good and I may try the big pretzel or cheese curds next time I'm through here. Meh. read more

I have to throw out a big fat five stars for this joint! Service was very good even though they were busy! Beer selection and food quality are off-the-charts! This Airport Restaurant is putting out fresh food with fresh ingredients and preparing it all in-house. From hand-pattied Burgers, to house-made ketchup! We started off with jalapeno and cheddar seasoned pork rinds, followed it up with the the mushroom Swiss burger and fries, and my wife had the Juicy Lucy Burger! Pork rinds we're very good, but the Burgers and Fries is where they win at. I can't attest to all of the different beers because I only had one and it was good, but not the best I've ever had. It was a local brew from the region. However, I asked for my burger to be cooked between medium rare and medium and we all know how that usually goes. This was actually prepared perfectly! The center was a nice red, full of flavor and plenty of juice. It was served on a house-made brioche bun and it is served lightly grilled. The french fries are hand-cut and perfectly seasoned. They're still crispy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. Put that in a house-made ketchup that is smokey and you have a winner! I hate to say it Saint Louis, but I have not had a burger that comes close to comparison with this anywhere in our area. And they are putting this out in the airport! So my challenge us STL is simple... I'm looking for a burger that can compete with this so that I don't have to fly to Minneapolis St Paul Airport for a good burger and fries. We started with the Jalepeno cheddar pork rinds were good and well seansoned, I would get them again and order cheese sauce on the side, that would make them awesome! For my main I ordered the Juicy Lucy with fries. I ordered the burger medium and it arrived medium well. It had a hint of pink but not what it should have been. The Juicy Lucy is supposed to come stuffed with cheese, however, mine had a gap in the center where the cheese should have been but was completely empty, I guess it cooked away? I found this disappointing but the burger itself was very juicy and we'll seasoned. I added some Sriracha mayo to add a little kick. The fries were hand-cut with an amazing seasoning; crispy, soft and yummy. They were completely rockstar. Next time I'm in this airport I will definitely come back again. read more

Stone Arch was a decent choice for a layover lunch. We had a group of 5 and found seating at the counter. Not ideal for conversation but it was busy and we we seated so that's a plus. Menu isn't super large, apps, burgers, some sandwiches and salads but enough to accommodate most palates. We ordered a few apps and some drinks to start. The spam fritters were interesting and surprisingly tasty. They were out of the specific beer I preferred but I ordered a replacement. Food was much slower to come out than I would expect from an airport restaurant but our layover was long enough that we had no worries. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger which was cooked medium rare and perfect for my liking. Mushrooms were tasty as were the fries but the fries weren't super hot. Noise level was loud but expected. My biggest negative was the speed of service. Food was pretty slow but the beer I ordered took forever and that was disappointing. read more

I stopped by here this a couple of Friday evenings ago with my father while on a layover at MSP. It was dinner time and if you have ever been through MSP before, you know that the restaurant crowds can swell. So we considered ourselves lucky whenever we saw an open table at Stone Arch. You see Stone Arch is a seat yourself place and so we saw a lot of people jockeying for seats. The seat that we ended up choosing wasn't terribly ideal as it was half in the restaurant and half in the terminal, not that I am complaining though as a seat is a seat. For dinner on this evening I decided to start out by having a flight of beer. The Stone Arch has an absolutely massive local beer list which I really enjoyed and is basically why I got the flight. All of the beers that I chose here were MN IPAs with one of my original selections having been kicked. I enjoyed them all which shouldn't be surprising if you know me as I love IPA's. While I was drinking my beer I decided on the Rachel for my dinner entree and my dad went with the meatloaf. The menu described it as Roasted turkey with Swiss cheese, cranberry Cole slaw and thousand island on grilled rye. Whenever it made it to the table, it didn't look terribly appetizing. Although the fries looked freshly cut, they had a limp appearance and seemed to be more the centerpiece of the dish than the sandwich. My observation proved to be true as the fries were soggy, limp and not very crispy. As for the Rachel, it was alright. The bread and turkey were satisfactory and while I wouldn't call it bad, I don't know that I would order it again. The bottom line for me is that I might stop back here again in the future. While the food wasn't much to write home about, I did really enjoy their craft beer list. read more

Stopped in for some Minnesota a lunch at MSP airport before heading out and was not disappointed. It has great service and comfortable seating for group or single travelers. There are a lot of Minnesota favorites like walleye and the juicy Lucy as well as other Minnesota favorites. They also offer a full bar with lots of Minnesota home brews. I had the Cobb salad but sadly ate it before making the review. I decided on the cob salad because it was easily customizable for my diet, but I'm sure all dishes were. This is an awesome destination for a major airport. The place is huge and it's amazing how they serve so many travellers who are mostly on a time limit for a connection flight. A huge beer selection, both on tap and in cans. There's definitely something for everyone. I really enjoyed the blood orange IPA as well as the fried cheese curds. Coming from WI, I was hesitant to order cheese curds in MN, but the menu said they were from Ellsworth, which I believe is in WI, so I felt safe. Really tasty and the ketchup was nicely seasoned too. Never would I have anticipated that my favorite beer in the world can be found only past security in the MSP airport. If you like pistachio, the pistachio cream ale is SO good. The subtle pistachio notes are strong without being overwhelming. They also have an incredibly wide selection of beers for everyone, from sours to pales to nitros. The food menu serves standard American pub fare. My $15 cheeseburger was greasy and nothing to write home about, but this is the airport, folks. My husband and I grabbed a bite to eat here in between flights. We also each had one of their specialty drinks. For our meal we split a mushroom burger, fries, and fried pickles. It was all very tasty and was plenty for the both of us. For our drinks I had the Viking Mojito and he had the Purple Pride. I had the bartender swap out the soda in my drink for pineapple juice instead.....I can't have carbonated beverages.....it was really good. My husband enjoyed his drink too. I detest paying big bucks for food and drinks in airports but I feel that everything was so good here it was almost worth it! Service was fast and with a smile. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because our server was friendly, they had usb and power outlets at the table to charge electronics. Other than that, this place was below average. Being that this restaurant is located in an airport I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted something good and fast before my flight. But in my opinion, you're better off trying some place else. The prices were on the high end, but I was expecting it. However, I was hoping the food would be somewhat good and match the prices. Wrong, the juicy Lucy burger was rather small (a little bigger than a fast food cheeseburger-nothing like hell's kitchen), the fries were old and stale, the turkey on the open face sandwich was dry and the green beans were a bit undercooked. The local beer on tap was good, the beer wasn't as cold as I'd like it, but it was okay. All in all, the food took awhile, for it not being busy. The place looked somewhat clean, the service was good, the prices were on the high side, and the quality of food was below average. Nothing special here. read more

Salmon Cesar salad is my safety food. Lemme explain. I travel a LOT for work. My quick, airport safety meal when I don't have much time and need something fast is a cesar salad with salmon. To keep myself occupied on layovers, I review this dish. And here we go... I sat at the small, round bar (vs the gigantor bar in the middle of their space) and the bartender was quick to take my drink and food order. I got my iced tea super fast and enjoyed people watching while I waited for my salad. The young woman next to me (loudly) ordered a Bloody Mary and was (loudly) delighted when it arrived with a chicken wing and a large cube of cheese speared on top of the drink. To be fair, we were all loudly excited about that chicken wing. Talk about a surprise & delight moment. Will definitely try that if I come through again during brunch. My salmon cesar salad arrived after a short wait (because go-to fast order FTW!). I give it a 6.5 out of 10. The filet was hot, but the skin was not lightly crisped on the outside like the best ones are. It was very moist though and simply seasoned in a pleasant way. It was served on a bed of standard issue mixed greens, heavy on the green leaf lettuce with some iceberg and red leaf lettuce mixed in. It had a pleasing crunch and the lettuce was cut into bite size pieces (always appreciated). The croutons were bagged and unremarkable. I wager the dressing was not house made either. Also, that iced tea was basic. A good handful of herbs while brewing would be a great improvement. All in all, great customer service at the bar, a very clean restaurant and an unoffensive meal. Went there for breakfast and had an egg sandwich, which was very good with quality bacon and spicy sauce in the sandwich, served with perfectly done hash browns. My husband and I tried to do our best looking around MSP for our best food option and decided on Stone Arch as our selection this morning for breakfast before our flight to PDX. We really liked the look of the place and the menus out front had a good few options already in our heads of what we'd like to eat. We sat down at a small table for two, it was sanitized and had a card on the table sitting so (also, it's pick your own seat style) many of the other tables were not sanitized yet and had been covered with dishes still. Their menu was a tiny card that you scan with your phone camera to view. Our waitress came up promptly and asked for our drink orders, I ordered a Mimosa and my husband had the Bloody Mary. Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later and our waitress set them down in a hurry and rushed away. Side note: I have worked in this industry, I do understand there can be rushes at times, but then saw her casually talking and laughing with a coworker at the bar. We did not feel important whatsoever. Our waitress was seen around other tables and attending to them, but would skip over us multiple times (even after my husband tried to get her attention). It took a minimum of 15 minutes for her to finally make her way to our table and apologized for the wait on our food, but we hadn't in fact even ordered yet. I honestly wanted to get up and leave at that point and have something quick, but my husband really was craving his meal, so we stayed. He ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with an egg added on, and I had the Breakfast Burrito dish. We end up waiting another good while for our food to be cooked, but we finally are served it. My dish looked delicious with hashbrowns on the side, and it was pretty good. My husband's Biscuits and Gravy unfortunately were not as enjoyable to him, and they forgot altogether about his egg added on. The chef apologized to us and asked how he would like the egg cooked and got right on it. He was able to prepare it in time for my husband to finish before we needed to pay and head to our gate. Overall review, the idea of their sanitation protocol is a good one, I wouldn't say perfectly executed however. We both mutually agreed unfortunately this restaurant had the worst customer service by our waitress, the chef made it a bit redeeming which is what establishes my star rating today, along with the food quality. This review is for the location inside the Minneapolis airport. With that being said, I didn't really expect a spectacular meal, but I thought it'd be a little better than it was. My friend and I ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. They weren't bad at all, you could taste/feel the grease, but between it being cheese and fried, one would have to expect that right? The dipping sauce was BBQ, nothing impressive. For my main course, I ordered the fish sandwich in an attempt to be a little healthier, but holy saltiness! I was only able to eat to half of the sandwich because of how incredibly salty it was! Not too mention the bottom bread piece was soggy, I'm not sure what from though. You can see this in the picture. The coleslaw that came as a side wasn't too bad though. If it had a little more tang it'd be great. My friend ordered a burger, can't remember which kind. It was served in a cute, little, round pan which sat on top of a black piece of slate with some fries....fancy. The fries didn't look too desirable, saturated with oil, and apparently the burger wasn't great either. If I'm ever back in the Minneapolis airport, I'm going to try somewhere else.
