Would have given this place 5 Stars but the hostess section needs serious help. 5 people up front and not one of them greeted us as they spoke amongst themselves and looked down at a schedule or map of the dining room area i had to presume. So I said out loud after waiting for a few minutes "I guess we'll seat ourselves" and went straight to the bar area. We sat at the counter and received excellent service from the bartenders with our food and drinks. Your Hostess section needs major training. The Ahi Tuna was amazing, served perfectly and the spicy sweet mustard is the best we've ever had. THE BEST. We also ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and the sauce was on point. The heat was perfect and not too overpowering. These 2 starters were so good that we ordered 2 more. The Blackened Mahi Mahi was great but wish it came with more. I thought for the price it was a bit small as you can see from the picture. The spicy Chicago Beef was good but order an extra cup of giardiniera pepper mix. The hoagie roll was great in quality and taste. Next time we come back hopefully we'll be greeted immediately or at least with a "we'll be right with you folks". Made an anniversary reservation here this year. Made the reservation through open table and mentioned it was our anniversary and nothing was mentioned. Our usual restaurant that we go to for our anniversary has the table done up with happy anniversary and we get a complimentary dessert. Being that this restaurant is part of the Cunningham Restaurant Group I would think that they would do better. Skip that we enjoyed our Shrimp Scampi appetizer, I ordered the Filet Scampi and Husband ordered the short ribs. I was given the wrong meal, it was a regular fillet. It was cooked perfectly however it was dry and it came with mashed potatoes that were dry so I had to get a sauce. The short rib delicious no complaints on that! We ordered the Espresso chocolate cake dessert which was nothing like it was advertised. The menu said it had caramel sauce, caramel, corn, sea salt, and chocolate, whipped cream. The only thing it came with from the menu was the caramel corn. There was no caramel sauce or chocolate, whip cream. I ordered it specifically for the whipped cream. Bummer it tasted ok just not extra ordinary. Also, I want to mention that I ordered a house salad, and there was a whole clove of raw garlic in the salad, which I made sure the waitress knew about. I came here for a quick work dinner right after my flight landed. I got a blueberry lemon drop cocktail which was brought out in cute mini shakers and poured into glasses at the table. The wine was also brought out in a mini wine carafe and poured into a wine glass at the table. A fly actually got into my coworker's drink so we let our server know. She made her a new drink. The complimentary bread and seasoned dipping oil was so good! We got the spicy garlic shrimp as our appetizer and it comes with a lot of shrimp. I didn't think it was spicy though. I ordered the scallops with risotto for my entree and it was delicious. I wish the scallops had a better sear on them though. Decided to stop in and try the devour menu. I'm not sure why but there was 4 different servers covering the patio. As a result, the servers were also covering tables inside. This caused service to be slow. During our visit soda machines were down. I was able to order iced tea. With the devour menu able to get soup/salad, entree, and dessert. The house salad had pine nuts which eh not a big fan, but that was a my bad for not asking without. I had the filet as my entree which had an upcharge. It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Our server never brought me a steak knife and I had to cut the thing with a bread knife. My dessert was the raspberry cheese cake and it was only ok. Devour menu was a good deal. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at Stone Creek Plainfield. Ambiance, music playlist, and service were amazing. A casual place with and elegant feel. The fresh bread and oil was very good and smelled delicious. We started with calamari and garlic shrimp. Both were very good. Entrees were filet with shrimp scampi and short rib. Filet and shrimp were cooked perfect and paired well with the asparagus. Short rib was tender and ragu was amazing. A little heavy on the sweet potato but still tasty. Drinks were so so ordered blueberry lemon drop, Branson old fashion, rusty old fashion, and phantom margarita. Margarita was amazing. Branson old fashion was not very good so I ordered the rusty. First rusty was good so ordered a second and way too much sugar and cherry. Lemon drop was not good at all. My coworkers and I decided to go to Stone Creek because Kona Grill was packed. My group wanted to eat outside due to COVID so we enjoyed the nice weather. A lot of customers ate outside, I didn't see too many people eating inside. We had a really good waiter and he was very accommodating. Vibe was chill and the food was ok. I have been going here for years. But it has been a long time since I've been in here. But the food is just as good as it was the last time I was there. I had the blackened chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwich's I have ever had. We got the triple dip as an appetizer it was a must try it is so delicious. I love Stonecreek dining, especially the location in Plainfield. It's my favorite spot to go to with my homegirl because we get to dress up look pretty and enjoy good food. The service is amazing here I've never had an issue I have been to the location over five times. I know they did end up moving the location to the next building or across the street. I forgot exactly how, it was but the original location was absolutely beautiful. They had a stone wall and two levels the second location in the same area that they moved it to does not have that wall but it's still a very nice place. I like Stone Creek because they are inexpensive compared to Cooper's Hawk, BUT it gives fine dining I would add some photos, but I don't have them anymore. This is a late review. Had lunch at Stone Creek the other day. The food here is consistently good. There is always a nice selection for either lunch or dinner. We had the $12 lunch special which is a soup or salad and a sandwich choice. I had the Mushroom Tartine which is an open faced with mushroom, artichoke and a pesto sauce. I would definitely order this again. My Mither had the house salad and the Short Rib Tartine and enjoyed that too. The service was quick and our waiter was friendly. Some of us took advantage of the "early dining" deals- these are entrees that are smaller portions than the main menu and thus less expensive. Nevertheless, the portions were ample and the food was delicious. I had the pork chop, which was flavorful and tender. It comes with a house salad or Caesar salad. Now for the food and drinks. Loved. Every. Thing. Started off with a Pomegranate Martini and Crispy Calamari (not pictured because we tore that up as soon as it got to the table) which were amazing! The ambiance of Stone Creek Plainfield is delightful. I love how the lights are set up in certain areas and how the design is one of a kind. For an appetizer we got the Spicy Garlic Shrimp, which was paired with oil and 2 sides of bread. The oil was subpar and I felt that it was missing something. Personally adding citrus to it would make it 10x better. I would rate this dish a 5/10. For entrees I got the Filet Medallions with Lobster Risotto and my partner got the Filet Mignon. Both the Filet Medallions and the Filet Mignon were cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks we've ever had. You could tell the meat was high quality and was packed with flavor. I can say on the other hand I didn't like the Lobster Risotto in my dish. The risotto had too much going on, with the tomato puree and unnecessary veggies I feel it would've tasted better without. I rate the dish a 7/10 and my partner rates his a 10/10. Finally we had dessert! I forget the name of the dish but in simple terms it was brownies and icecream! This location has an upstairs and that's where we sat. We were a party of 10 and they were very accommodating. I ordered the pick two combo and it was delicious. The sirloin was cooked well and I ordered mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. My husband ordered the ribs and he loved it. Their portions are nice and you leave feeling full and satisfied. Our server that night wasn't the best due to how busy he was. He had another large party that we felt was served a lot more but it ended up being ok because other servers helped us out.
