No pics because we didn't stay. Pretty disappointed since we live fairly local and wanted to try it out to support local businesses. When we got there, my husband went inside to get a table while I waited outside. He stood there for a while with no acknowledgement. When he was finally noticed, he told her a table for 2. There were many tables for 4 and 2 small tables for 2, but up against a fence. I explained to her that I prefer not to be squished at a table. She told us to wait a minute while she went inside. So we did. A man came out and told us he could seat "i can seat you at this table or this table". The same 2 tables I just told her I prefer it to be squished at. That honestly annoyed me more than anything, since I just said I didn't want to sit there. I felt like his tone was rude and condescending, since she clearly told him what I was requesting. There were at-least 10 tables at 5:30. They told us those tables all had reservations. So, we left and went to Village Social. Plenty of other restaurants to go to in Kisco, Katonah, etc. Many people ask me for local recs as I am very involved in my community and run a local social media page for families in the area. Stone fire will not be one of my recommendations. I gave it one star because I didn't have a choice. read more

Ok this is the best place I have found in this whole area. They are so hip but not in a pushy way. Food. Is. Amazing!!! Everyone here is friendly and accommodating and you feel like it's a home away from home. The owners dine here and casually interact. Very nice. He comes around serving samples and letting you taste drinks. The regulars flock. My fave was the burrata. Pretty sure I have never ever ordered two of anything but I did. This was a pleasant surprise. I'm usually very particular about Italian restaurants and I can safely say this is a fun one with the food skills to back it up. I got the sausage and broccoli rabe pasta and it was truly fantastic. And I don't care for broccoli rabe that much. It made me like it. We sat outside and the patio was cute. Very chill but that could be because it was still pretty chilly out (low 60s). It seemed like the majority of the patrons were inside and thus the servers were mainly in there so they were often slow to getting to our table. Just drove by this place with my buddy and decided to come in and eat. Well, everything from the service to the food was really good. The waiter suggested I try the short rib risotto and it was out of the park good. My buddy had salmon and it was also excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. Amazing food, friendly, knowledgeable staff. We've held a number of family functions at Stone Fire and they always donate right thing by us. Great party room upstairs, intimate dining and a small bar downstairs. Eat in or out, the food is amazing. You cannot beat the Family Meal, which includes a bottle of wine! Had dinner here last night with friends. We had the Nonne Popette, which are made with chicken, and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. For main courses, we tried the Lamb Ragu pasta, Branzino Oreganata, Duck Campanelle, and a stuffed chicken-breast special. I just ordered using Grub Hub. Very disappointing. I ordered Briccoli Rabe I got Brussel Sprouts with some kind of balsamic glaze ... absolutely disgusting. The Pizza was on point, excellent. The chicken scarpariello was a disappointment, the sausage was deep fried, the chicken was tough, and the potatoe was chiped and deep fried, the peppers were even under done. The fried Calamari was done well. Delivery packaging was solid, but I asked for plates, and got nothing. My family really likes this place. Tons of choices for everyone. We have 2 gluten free people in our family and they do a really good job of giving you options for most items. The GF pizzas are very good and we have never had an issue with cross contamination. We even had them make the Nutella pizza on a cauliflower crust and it was good. Been a few times. It has yet to disappoint. Few of my favorites are the disco fries with Shirt Ribs, yum. The Szechuan Cauliflower is on point could eat ever day. Need the recipe for that sauce. First of all, really really great service. I went on a triple date here with my friends. My girlfriend lives in Mount Kisco and she picked it out, based on driving by it a few times. It was really great! We tried the special double crusted pizza with a goat and cows cheese topped with truffle oil. It was so delicious. Literally tasted like a delicious flat pizza bagel. For dinner, I had the seafood carbonara and the pasta was so fresh and there was a ton of seafood! I also shared the octopus appetizer and that was delicious. The octopus was tender. I wish there was a bit more octopus but it was a nice serving overall. My girlfriend also had a pasta dish, which was delicious and my boyfriend had a special pizza which looked really nice. I will definitely be back for the special shakes. I had the espresso creme brûlée for dessert and I'd say it's a MUST try. So tasty. So much flavor and a really really nice size. read more

I've been coming here for a year and have always gotten the regular entrees or pizza...but I finally tried their fresh pasta and was blown away!! And I've only had delivery due to the quarantine - I can only imagine how they are in person! Five stars go to the food all day long. Again I wasn't expected to be blown away but the average prices and the quality and quantity are what do it. Two people $100 and enough to take home. Two drinks from the bar awesome and the Burrata was fresh and tasted great. Bucatini special and Chicken dish served hot and fresh. Excellent dessert choices we went with the espresso custard. Waiter needed some brushing up on his menu skills and didn't pay attention to certain cues. Diner not looking and menu = take order. I've reviewed this on Google Maps twice because it's that good!!! I started off with the Market Salad which had all my favorite salad staples... apples, pistachios, gorgonzola cheese but they add even more flavor by adding not so commonly found in salad items like honey and pumpkin seeds making it a top salad on my "salad choice list". I followed with the Caprino pizza which has goat cheese, mozzarella, truffle honey and pistachios... And as though that's not enough, I add cherry peppers (which they graciously accommodate the request) to spice it up. If you're a fan of spicy foods try this combination it should be on the menu as a staple item, it's that good!... My friends had the chicken parmigiana which they said was delicious while another friend ordered disco fries (they weren't too fond of the rib gravy but I can't help but feel that they are used to the Diners version of disco fries -mozz/brown gravy so it is simply a matter of what they were used to). The truffle fries were so good we ordered a second! Service was good and they offer outdoor dining which is always a plus! read more

So, beautiful day, other day and I am walking back from the Dr.'s office the way my ride took me. I start to panic a bit and get all paranoid that my ride is going to miss me . Suddenly happen upon the Stone Fire. I sorta barge in when the place is between shifts and ask what the address is in a tone of voice that apparently was clear I was in the mindset that I was in.(My ride was was late, very much so, so no he didn't miss me.) Didn't want anyone staying up all night concerned I might be wandering the streets of Mount Kisco. Heaven forbid. Well like half the staff and and a few customers jump up to help me! Wow! I am so used to the rudeness and insane snobbery of this county. I recall when this location used to be planned parenthood, so please, don't tell me about Westchester County and the superiority complex many seem to have. How adorable. Not sure who it was, I think she was a customer, but this beautiful woman was inviting me back for dinner, and telling me how great the food was. I explained to her that my husband and I are vegan, and we had just had a series of, disappointing if not disgusting experiences in restaurants.(one can determine much from the clientele.) The woman assured me that her boyfriend was vegan and that he had never been betrayed by the chef; quite the opposite. Coolio double ding dang dally in the valley! The bartender jumped up to serve me after making sure I knew the exact address. I ordered an IPA. It was gloriously ice cold, along with a spotless glass of water with ice and yeah, boy-o did that hit the ole dry as a desert throat or California spot. Do they actually hand clean glasses here? I am going to croak dead from the professionalism. Just resurrected myself. Where is the taste and film from the filthy water behind the bar with that awful blue toxic cleaning solution? NOWHERE!!! The warm reception matched the cold beer. If only I had gotten the name of the bartender. Wherever you are, lovely professional woman thank you. I sat outside under the yellow umbrellas and red shade covering. I felt like I could easily be in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, etc. So thank you Stone Fire. I had a lovely experience. Isn't it amazing how the small things add up to create one big happy memory? We really do appreciate common courtesy, and it boggles the mind when folks who are in the service industry let you know right off the bat they hate your guts just for walking in the place. Hey, I used to do your job, so learn to hide your disgust better. Certainly no reference to the folks here at Stone Fire. We are going back for the vegan steak. I am pretty sure the chef isn't going to serve the steak with a mayonnaise side - see snarky comment in reference to Yuka's "Fusion " whatever. read more

Went for first visit on Tuesday, "Pasta Night." We chose to be seated upstairs. Downstairs is the bar scene and it was happy hour. On Tuesday evenings, you can sample three of the chef's original pasta designs, then eat as much as you want of any of them! Includes a glass of wine, too! I must say, my wife and I were completely "blown away" with the creativity and flavor of the three dishes. Wow! Someone in the kitchen really knows what they are doing! Pasta is fresh and homemade. Dishes are served, "hot!" Not lukewarm like so many other places (something I will never accept). We will definitely come back and begin to sample just about anything on the menu. But, I highly recommend Tuesday's "Pasta Night" as a great way to get acquainted. read more

Tonight's dinner was a large portion of chicken parm (we were 4 adults and still had leftovers for tomorrow), in a tasty tomato sauce, large portion of pasta in vodka sauce, terrific salad, home made bread, and a bottle of wine...Everything is always well packed in metal takeout trays. Great food and service! The bread was soft with a nice crust. Loved the hummus-like dip too. We ordered the Market Salad with White Balsamic Vinaigrette; fresh ingredients and tasty. My husband enjoyed his Reconstructed Lasagna. I ordered the Duck Campanelle and it was absolutely delicious; not too salty or oily, duck was shredded and tender, just superb! The portions were generous. The Espresso Creme Brûlée has just the right sweetness. Would love to try their Oreo Shake next time ;). Our server was Marley. She was friendly and attentive. I really can't say anything bad about the food here. I've always had really nice meals. My one critique is the use of the word "slutty" on the menu for one of their dessert skillets and the fact that the waitresses walk around with T-shirts that say #foodporn. It feels like it's in conflict the fact that they have a kids menu. Last time I was there, my daughter asked me what "slutty" and "porn" were when I was just trying to have pizza out with my kids. Went here with a party of five around 5 pm on a Saturday which was right before the big dinner crowd. We started with the calamari which was soft and fresh. Not one chewy piece (which I hate). We also ordered the truffle Mac and cheese which was perfection in a bowl. I hate when restaurants overdo it with truffle oil. Stone Fire had the perfect balance of cheese and truffle. I had the fettuccine carbonara with guanciale and the fried egg and it was heaven on a plate. It was clearly fresh made pasta so it wasn't too heavy. Also had the Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and we all loved it. My boyfriend had the pasta with the shrimp and loved it. His son had the pasta with the short ribs which he raved about. His daughter had the salmon which she loved. All in all it was a really good dining experience. My only criticism would be that the servers speak more clearly and use better English. Had a terrible time understanding the specials. Had to ask more than once to repeat and Spanish is my second language and I had no idea what the guy said. They put really great bread on the table but served it with hummus which didn't freak me out or anything but this restaurant is Italian and the hummus (which was fresh and delicious) but clearly out of place. Flavored olive oil or butter would have elevated it for me. The only other thing that REALLY freaked me out was the unisex bathroom which is not a reflection on the restaurant but I am old school and prefer a Ladies Room. I know it's not PC and all but I really didn't enjoy listening to some old guy hacking up a lung, spitting and farting right in the next stall. I'm not ready for this just yet. Anyway......this is a fabulous spot and I will definitely be going back. I just won't be going to the bathroom. I'd rather bring a bucket and go pee in the parking lot. read more

Stone Fire is a really nice option in Mt Kisco. The upstairs (casual attire / family friendly seating) has a very different vibe from the downstairs, which is more bustling with a bar scene. Beer options are strong and can be tasted in a flight. As for appetizers, the chicken meatballs are excellent. The shishito peppers are below average, under-seasoned, and mushy. Although known for excellent piazzas, consider getting one of the homemade pastas. The short rib gemelli is exceptional. read more

We went there for dinner with the kids on a Tuesday evening. The place was comfortably packed and yet felt very comfortable. We sat upstairs - loved the decor, and the windows overlooking the green. We had an excellent meal all around. We ordered their crab appetizer, which was a special - so good! The pizza was on a perfect crust and the meat was delicious, no excessive cheese!! My issue with this latest "hot spot" for the Viagra generation is that it sorely lacks creativity, as Westchester seems to be suddenly becoming oversaturated with this type of restaurant, all of which have very similar, almost carbon copy menus. Very disappointed with this restaurant. Couple of things I noticed right off the bat. -The hostess was very young, she seemed to be either in middle school or a freshman in high school. There were a bunch of kids standing by the door as well that she was chatting with. Nothing wrong with having a young hostess, but at a restaurant of this caliber I would expect someone more experienced and dressed a little bit better to fit the part. -The music was just off. Not what I would expect to hear at a nice Italian restaurant. -There was a TV in the main dining area. It's not a sports bar, there shouldn't really be TVs in the main dining area in my opinion because it's distracting and takes away from the ambiance. The TV thing isn't a huge deal, but it's just not something you'll see at other top restaurants like Red Hat or Half Moon on the Bay. The rest of the restaurant is very nice though. As for the food, I wasn't impressed. This is an Italian restaurant and they don't even serve olive oil with the bread. For the appetizer my girlfriend and I ordered the mussels. I've never seen mussels that big before and it was honestly unappetizing. Flavor wise I felt like the chef was trying to get too fancy. The bread they serve with the mussels wasn't toasted either. For our main course we ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto pizza which was also sub-par. Soggy crust, flavorless sauce, way too much Arugula. The pizza from Il Forno's in Somers blows Stone Fire's pizza out of the water. This place has a lot of work to do if they want to be considered a Westchester hot spot. One good thing was the service. We had a great waiter who was really friendly and very fast. Can't say I'd recommend this place, you're better off going to Fortina or Il Forno. read more
