My boy chowing down on a sausage & ham pizza after his Winter Music Performance 2.27.19

Review 44/365 Day Challenge This is our only go to restaurant for when we want Stonefire Grill. Since it's local. Came on a Tuesday evening for last minute dinner w the fam bam after my oldest tennis match. 2.24.26 Figured Stonefire is fast, yummy & always great for one of our family dinner outings of choice. Bummed yesterday's dinner had a few hiccups. During ordering our food. We got the stimulus package. Our usual but we haven't ordered it in a while since last summer I recall. We asked the guy associate, recall the pizza included 2 topping in the stimulus package and he mentioned yes or any of the pizzas listed. So we then got the meat lovers pizza. When picking out salad, we weren't informed or remember it only includes Garden or Caesar salad. We ordered the Stonefire Bbq Chop salad. After paying for our order and went to go sit down. I was a bit confused how our total was so high. When we only ordered the stimulus package along w a shareable pasta and 2 fountain drinks. I looked over the receipt and saw we were charged extra for the meat lovers pizza and the salad we got. Went back to the register to find an associate. The guy that took our order wasn't up front any more. The associate saw my receipt and said he will go talk to the guy that took our order. The gentleman that took our order than came up and said "when i asked if everything was good and with your total, you didn't say anything" This i do understand and i informed him, we were out for a tennis match since 3 pm in the cold and a bit weary/tired. So apologies for not being fully there but you didn't mention of the extra charges for the meat lover pizza and the salad we picked. Along you did mention the pizza covered 2 toppings along w any other listed pizza was included. Mee and my husband both heard this. We were both ordering and agreeing together what we wanted. He apologize and refunded us the extra charge and re ~ corrected the order to what the stimulus package included. Went and sat back at the table to eat the salad, pasta and breadsticks that was already given. It was about 25 mins into eating. Looking at the receipt i ordered at 6:55 pm and now the time was 7:30 p.m. we haven't received our pizza or tri tip yet. We know it doesn't usually take that long, half and hour. So we asked the associate regards to our missing items part of the meal. He thought this entire time our last 2 items had already been out. If we never asked for our items, we could've still been waiting. He had to re input our order in. Associate did end up making us a 16 inch bacon n ham pizza, a bigger one instead of the 12 inch it comes with to apologize for the overlooked within our remaining order. Which was nice of him. But My gosh, my 3 kids were starving along with my 80 year old mother in law that came to watch my son's 1st tennis match. It was a really long dinner indeed. My oldest son was falling asleep on the dinner table waiting for our food. Sigh*

I needed to get some stuff at the brea mall so I figured I'd try this place out since it was an 8 minute walk (3 minute drive) when you walk in, you immediately get a cafeteria style vibe. It wasn't bad at all but that's just what popped in my head. A few steps later and you're greeted by someone. Here's the thing to consider if you want to try this place: look at the menu before walking in. I was fortunate enough to do so and it helped because you are standing there with the menu in your face (no pictures) and the person waiting for you to take your order. Talk about pressure! I knew what I wanted but I couldn't remember, so here I was, panicking, trying to remember what it was. I finally placed my order and they gave me a buzzer to put on my table and a cup for water. I got the 10 ounces of the Tri tip (bbq) and a side of Mac and cheese. I couldn't help but notice the lowest amount of tip to leave was 18%. I want to say I didn't mind but yes I did. When did the baseline for a tip jump to 18%?! I ended up leaving the 18% and took a seat. My food arrived shortly after but I was told the breadsticks would be a couple minutes. The Tri tip was ok but the Mac and cheese kind of disappointed. It didn't really have a good taste to it. The breadsticks showed up about 5 minutes later and it seemed like they were in a hurry to get them out so they didn't heat them up enough. The outside wasn't crunchy at all and the middle was worse. I ate about half of 1. (There were 2 in the order) As I was walking out, I noticed a big line had formed. It was probably because the people at the front were panicking and didn't know what to order. I was glad to have ordered with nobody behind me. In conclusion, maybe they have other stuff that tastes better than the Mac and cheese but this trip disappointed me a little bit. The overall service was great but there's definitely room for improvement. As I left the restaurant, I did notice outside seating was available as well. I would probably stick to that if you don't want to feel like you're back in school.

Gotta give Stonefire grill a 3/5. Their Caesar salad was partially frozen lettuce with croutons and cheese slapped on there. Where they shined was with the carrot cake - I ate the whole thing. It was delicious. I guess the good evens out the bad here. If you're looking for an affordable meal with options for everyone, this is your spot. You order at the counter and go sit down at a table with your number and they bring the food out. It's kind of a hybrid between fast food and your typical sit down restaurant.

Nice location. I've been to the one in Arcadia and this one seems bigger inside. Parking wasn't too bad during the lunch hour. Service is straight forward - order at the counter, they give you a pager, and they bring the food over to go. We came in for lunch and tried their lunch specials. Good selection of choices and portions sizes are good for the price. Enjoyed my sandwich and soup. Everything seems to be fresh and made to order. Surprisingly it wasn't too busy during a weekday lunch. Worthy as a lunch option if you're in the area.

BEST Family deal in the OC Stonefire Grill has been a premier takeout, catering and fast-casual family dining destination since 2000. With generous portions of made-from-scratch classic American-inspired dishes, this is the perfect spot to feed the whole family!! Not only are they famous for their flame-grilled meats, hearty salads, pizzas and breadsticks, they have a tantalizing and crave-worthy new lineup this season. Here's what we tried! Family Four Pack: your choice of BBQ or lemon garlic chicken breast, a large cheese or pepperoni pizza, a shareable pasta, any premium salad and eight freshly-baked breadsticks. Such a great value for $55!! (for a limited time) NEW Cornbread Casserole: so incredibly moist and topped with fried serranos and maple butter. One of my new favorites! I will definitely get the Family size next time! NEW Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza: Nashville hot chicken, mozzarella, fried sage, honey hot sauce and a side of ranch dressing. My boys favorite!! NEW Cinna-Dunks: the breadsticks you know and love in bite-sized, sugar cinnamon form with cream cheese frosting for dipping! So soft and incredibly addicting!! Don't miss out on their Incredible Carrot Cake!! Perfect for catering your next event! Indoor and outdoor dining. Wonderful customer service from James and Mariah!

Great food place for BBQ. I got the Tri Tip Personal. It comes with 2 garlic bread sticks, and 1 side. I purchased an extra side for $3.99. So the 2 sides I got was Corn Bread and the Jasmine Rice. The Corn bread was so good!!! It was sweet and with the sweet butter combination! It was mmmmMmmGood. The Tri tip was also good. I chosen it to be cooked medium rare. And you get to choose the 2 sauce. I got 1/2 BBQ sauce and 1/2 Gorgonzola butter sauce. I like the BBQ sauce better. They also have marinara pastas, I got to try some because my friend ordered it and it was ok. Not that great. It kinda lacked flavor. You order first and they bring the food to your table. If you need utensil, plates, and napkins. It located at the side of the restaurant where the drinks are. There is also BBQ sauce you can get yourself. It's free for all seats. Free parking lot and located next to Target.

I had the Pulled Pork Bánh mì pizza and it was surprisingly delicious. It had a very unique taste from your standard Bánh mì sandwich but I liked it. I also had half of a pulled pork sandwich and that was awesome as expected. I ate a few slices of shared tri-tip. That was great too. The service stafff brought out the food as it came up so eating with company was staggered but that's okay. The ambiance inside was similar to a large cafeteria but much warmer and comfortable. We had a wonderful meal together

takeout mac n cheese melted through container -- gross!
    Reena P.

I've dined here a lot, and most experiences are good. However, on a recent takeout order, my child's takeout order of mac 'n cheese was served in a thin plastic container and melted through! This means microplastics leached into the food and piping hot mac n' cheese ended up on my daughter's lap. I wrote to corporate to get them to change their packaging on their takeout orders so this doesn't happen to others. The Director of Operations got back to me saying that they would change it for their kids mac 'n cheese, but I'm not sure they'll change it for other hot dishes (e.g. marinara pasta) served to go.

Enjoyed another great dinner from Stonefire! Ordered the chicken and tri tip for two for takeout. The tri tip was tender delicious, per usual, and the lemon garlic chicken was pretty decent, though I thought it had more flavor in the past. May have been lacking salt. The breadsticks, loaded mashed potatoes and salad were also great.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent was running errands in Brea yesterday when he noticed Stonefire Grill perched on the corner of the Brea Marketplace Plaza. Remembering the effusive word of mouth review that my oldest son, Pastor Brandon, decreed during his recent visit from WDC, I pulled over. First impressions? Sheeeeeeeeeiiit. The Harrigan Family could've easily christened their Family restaurant "Bullseye," because it NAILS the bullseye of what men like to see and eat, while dining. Visually, you're greeted by cinnamon-hued woods bathed in comforting stained glass chandeliered lights. Menu-wise, Stonefire Grill reminds me of Sir Elton John's greatest hits- Pick one, any one! You can't go wrong!! Pizzas, ribs, hearty hot and cold sandwiches, chicken, decadent desserts like cheesecake and carrot cake. I ordered the BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich, which features amply portioned slabs of grilled tri tip melted sheets of mozz and dressed with your choice of either BBQ sauce or gorgonzola butter. The latter seems to be a popular choice with past diners, so I will ask for that variation, next time. The BBQ sauce is a vinegar-forward sauce that reminds me of the delish Tony Roma's sauce I usta pour all over my ribs/sandos and fries baaaaaaack in the day. The sando comes with multiple sides to choose from- I went with a frankly decadent house salad with the chili lime vinaigrette dressing. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality, and cut, of the vegetables! So rare these days to see carrots finely shredded instead of half-heartedly cut into wee discs. Demerits: Both of my negatives pertain to technology. The first is how I wasn't able to pre-order via the Yelp app. When you press "order online," it would generate a frozen screen. Secondly, I wasn't thrilled how I wasn't allowed to apply my just awarded points from yesterday's $18 purchase towards Stonefire's Rewards program. When I asked the young lady who took my order how I could get credit for my purchase, she told me I'd have to call the corporate office and ask for their help. Which, of course, seems a bit excessive, and candidly too labor intensive, just to get my points credited! Kudos: The young lady who packaged my order was a sheer delight!! Super friendly, generous with her smile and her warm entreaties to add extra sauce, eating utensils, plate etc to my takeout order. Even though our interaction lasted only thirty seconds she truly exemplified Stonefire's pledge of delivering scratch-made meals in a "happy to serve" environment! I look forward to sampling Stonefire's pizzas, ribs and French Dip sando on future visits. My order was $17.56 incl tax.

I saw a few other items that would be guiltless or not as unhealthy that I will most likely try on a different location after the gym when I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking afterwards.

My favorite was the Passionfruit Sour. We had the carnitas nachos, which lacked a bit of spice, and the pork was dry. The pretzel was soft, and out of the three dipping sauces, the honey was surprisingly our favorite. The cheese sauce was a little odd. For the wings, we would have loved to get two flavors, but they only toss the wings in one flavor. If you choose a second flavor, half of the wings are served plain with the sauce on the side.

Some places sit in the back of your mind for years…read more I first came to Macallan Public House more than a decade ago on a date and always intended to return. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

Our server, Devin was pretty good despite the place was packed and he had alot of tables to wait on. My food came out pretty quick and he did check up on our table from time to time which is awesome. Never had an issue here service wise. Wednesday nights are always a fun night here with food, singing, and dancing!

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively

I'm not super familiar with German cuisine, but everything felt authentic and traditional. I ordered their popular Ruben sandwich, served hot with corned beef, sauerkraut, and a Russian dressing on rye bread. It was delicious and packed with meat and flavor. The fries that came along with it were so crispy and tasty. I also tried the breaded veal cutlet, which is a German specialty. Both dishes were very good and hearty. They also have a great beer selection on draft. I went with the Spaten Pilsner, which paired perfectly with the meal. I love that each of their beers is served in its own branded glass. It was just super filling, I wasn't able to finish everything. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to and try their various specialties (like their sausages) !
