Picked up online order 09/19@7:30 --Left wallet there-- Called in-- STONEFIRE:"wallet was found, right when you left I went out front to see if you where there but it was too late." Me: "Oh my goodness it is okay, Thank you thank you for finding it! I am on my way out of town on an airplane and am using my passport--will it be possible to hold on to it for me until Sunday afternoon when I return?" STONEFIRE: "yes, of course." Me: "Thank you" ---------------------------------------- Went in to pick up wallet and the 2 managers on shift couldn't find it or knew anything about it. Manager Shannon was super condescending about the situation and starting. I need to put this writing: I picked up my online order on Thursday evening at 7:30ish. All was tasty and great accept I had left my wallet there:( fast forward to the next afternoon where I'd already been searching for my wallet the entire day, and about to leave on a plane to a memorial service and really needed my wallet. My wife grabbed my passport and told me to just forget about it for now-/ I telephoned STONEFIRE and happened to speak to the same person who had served me our takeout order the evening before. I asked her if they'd found a wallet I may have left, and she told me, "Yes" after verifying my name Ben Schulz of course. She said, "I just saw that you had left it and when I went out front to try and find you it was too late." I assured her that I was so super thankful that My wallet had been found and that I was on my way out of town and to please if possible to hold onto it until Sunday afternoon when I am back in town. I used to love coming to Stonefire Grill but the Chatsworth location just cant cook our tri tip correctly to save their own lives!!!! I ask for Medium Rare every single time and I either get meat so undercooked and red inside that it is red or RAW or meat so overcooked that there is no hint whatsoever of any pink or juice in the middle!!! What in the world is wrong with the cooks at this location that they just cant figure out what medium rare is?!?!?!?! And the worst part is, apparently the management doesn't care in the least as I have complained twice before and the same problem is still occurring!!! Why not get a chart and post it in the kitchen with pictures of what Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, and Well Done look like as well as the temperatures for each so that the cooks know how to cook people's tri tip the way they want it???? Is it really that hard to get someone's order right the first time??? Is cooking a person's meal the way they want it really rocket science for the cooks at Chatsworth??? The garlic lemon chick is delicious. The quinoa is really good, the BBQ chopped salad is good, so why cant they just figure out how to cook the Tri Tip correctly so I can enjoy my meal without having to send it back to have the meat cooked correctly?!?!? The Chatsworth location is also FILTHY as all get out as well. We sat out on the patio area and there were napkins, silverware, straw wrappers and food all over the floor!!!! I sat there and watched the bussers clear the tables and leave the trash on the floor for over a half an hour!!! I watched the hostess seat people over and over at tables that had all sort of trash underneath them!! I watched one hostess pick up a fork off the floor and instead of taking it into the back to be washed or giving it to a bus boy, she simply set the dirty fork down on a table and that is where it stayed while they sat someone down at the table!!! I guess the bottom line here is that management just doesn't care about putting forth a clean and quality product for their customers to enjoy. If they don't care, then I guess I shouldn't care either so I guess there is no point in patronizing this establishment again in the future. read more

Thank you so much for doing the "Stonefire Cares" kits during the Coronavirus quarantine. I just picked up our "Market Bail-out Bag" today, and it went above and beyond our expectations. I'm expecting, and my husband and I live with his elderly grandmother, so it means a lot to us to have a safe option for picking up grocery essentials! We trust Stonefire's cleanliness standards. Milk, bread, fresh produce, and toilet paper have been the hardest things to get reliably-- so this is perfect for this week, when we've been advised not to go even into a grocery store for the early hour. I didn't even have to get out of my car with curbside pickup, and it was all very efficient. I hated seeing the parking lot empty; Stonefire is so well-loved around here. I was so stressed out that at double the number that we had ordered for, we would run out of food, but guess what? I forgot that the portion sizes at Stonefire Grill are "healthy" and we had PLENTY of food with enough left over to donate to a local soup kitchen! I received so many compliments on how lovely the party was and how delicious the food was. From the moment I booked the date, and then called back at least half a dozen times to make little changes or ask questions, the entire catering office couldn't have been more patient and accommodating. STONEFIRE, my love. You satisfy my world. I truly can't get enough of this place. I've been known to pop in 3 or 4 times in a week. It's a serious relationship. My fave? The bbq chopped salad with tri tip, but the chicken is just as good. I love their tortilla soup when I'm sick, i think it has magical healing powers. The breadsticks are some of the best I've ever had. The carrot cake is also absolutely amazing. Their tri tip is perfecto. Their mashed potatoes are scrumptious. Their bbq sauce is fantastic! STONEFIRE anything is my go-to always. I do tend to stay away from the lemon garlic chicken because it can tend to be dry but everything else is spot on! Some of my favorites are the chicken Caesar salad, keen green salad and their roasted cauliflower pita with chimichurri, yum! Usually a pretty good spot to come for lunch or dinner. I come here with my entire family, grandparents included, and we usually leave satisfied! My sister is gluten free and my mom is vegetarian, so this place is the perfect to come to for their delicious salad variety! And not to mention their incredible breadsticks! Great place for a cheap date. Breadstick are amazing here! A dozen for $4.99. Must eat when its fresh of course. You order then sit down and they bring it to you. Definitely did not live up to its hype. I don't know if it's because we chose to sit down an hour before closing and dine in but my god...the food was awful. The cook must've called it a night by then because all of the food was just slopped together. Mash potatoes were burnt, the pasta had sauce/cheese on one side of the plate while the other half was plain AF. Even the breadsticks tasted a little funky. First I love the food there. All of it is fresh and flavorful. I have to write about my recent experience. I am a larger person in both height and weight. I went to this particular Stonefire and placed my order. When I went to find a place to sit and be comfortable all the tables and chairs were taken. There is only one area with about 6 chairs in it. They had just remodeled this Stonefire and made it less convienent for larger people. Also the seating outside has the most uncomfortable chairs. Which if you have any hips you have to wedge yourself into the chair. Well very upset I almost started to cry (well maybe a little cry) and informed the managers that there were not enough regular chairs and that I couldnt sit anywhere to enjoy my meal. The promptly went to find me a chair. The problem is there should be chairs for any sized people to sit and enjoy there meal there. read more

They have a vegan menu online which is great! I didn't see it in the restaurant but maybe I missed it. I tried the roasted cauliflower and quinoa which was delicious! The experience: We walked over after finding out Applebees closed. (Never been there but my in-laws had gift cards to redeem). Anyway, figured I'd save the bummer moment by going "hey, lets try this place..." (pointing to Stonefire grill). Now, the smell was enticing and looked like some folks were out on the patio and the vibe looked from a distance. So, we walked in and looked for some host/hostess to sit us down. (Okay, so we were totally uninitiated to their business model). Still, we were just willing to give it a try. I asked the first employee with a pulse "do we get seated, or do we wait in this line". Yep. Okay. While in line, we are just a party of 5 trying to make sense of this. So, we get the front of the line. The young fellow seemed friendly enough. I asked, "do we order drinks from the table?". "No, it is all ordered here, we give you a number and bring it to you". Okay, fair enough, after all, there were others gathering in line behind us and here we were under a bit of pressure and slightly bewildered. In any event, we took a quick vote for the chicken and ribs which the cashier assured us would be plenty. I also ordered a bottle of their best Merlot and a few glasses. (We were handed cups and not sure if they were for water or our wine..). At this point we carried on to a booth and realized we would have been like sardines crammed in a can in some cheezy booth. No worries, I peered to the outdoors patio and there was a sufficient table and the air was fresher. After feeling like we could not get arrested for 5 or ten minutes, a nice guy with a bottle and a few glasses rendered cork service and filled us in that we would have to get our own water etc. Okay, now we figured we were in for hybrid Hometown Buffet experience and not the "sit down service" the exterior aesthetics suggested. Salad arrived. Good stuff, not great. Garlic Bread sticks were quite good pacifiers. Ribs and chicken arrived. It seemed almost up to par except for the fact we felt like it may not be adequate for 5. (*I would have upgraded the order if the dude at the cash register assured me it would be enough...) Oh, well. We made the best of it. The Merlot de-grumpified me enough. Desert? Just yell at the young college age dude walking by, order up, and pull out the card once again.....I won't bother with coffee. Too much hassle. Don't get me wrong, the staff had good demeanor but they were constrained by a very dubious business model which IMO is not sales friendly. If you are a self service driven person who understands this business model, this place may be just for you!! Personally, I would have paid more for a better service experience (Actual upbeat people friendly waiters/waitress who make sure you are happy). If you are not familliar with the format of this place, you will likely be let down. The food is Okay, not over the top. Okay, now we know. Took a chance and there you have it. To the management/owners: Perhaps a little quick-read signage explaining your format to the uninitiated entering the front door (or a friendly greeter who could bring confused "random walk-ins" up to speed) would be a nice touch..... read more

We had such a fabulous experience! Stonefire was kind enough to cater our 10 year high school reunion in last week. Our server Juan was fantastic! We had trouble getting the security gate open at the park where we were hosting our event - and he was very gracious about hauling (with the help of our friends) all of his supplies into the park, since he didn't have car access. I would give SFG a five had it not been for the Balsamic salad (spelling might be wrong). This salad was the opening dish to my Salmon meal dinner, so the fact that it looked like left-overs and tasted the same was not an impressive start for me. My GF had the peanut coleslaw, which was WOW! So I asked them to replace my salad with the coleslaw. I had to. The balsamic salad, at least the one they gave me was horrible.
