I love stone fire, but whenever I order online for my family, it seems the portions are much smaller. I ordered the quinoa shrimp (16 pieces) and yes all pieces were there but hardly any quinoa enough for everyone. Either they reduce their prices or increase their portions. read more

Ordered food last weekend for my entire family and it was honestly horrible. My order was completely wrong and the food that I actually got was cold. I was so disappointed because my kids and I love stonefire but this time was a really a let down. Even the bread sticks tasted like they were days old. My salads came wrong and with no dressing when we ordered extra dressing so basically my dogs got some tri tip and the rest went in the trash. I called to let them know my experience but I was pretty much rushed of the phone with a 25 dollar gift card. I appreciate the gesture but my order was over 65 so 25 dollars wont even feed my family again. Not to mention I work in a hospital and have not been home much in recent times and dont know when I will get to eat with all of them at the same time again. Very very disappointing. read more

Whenever I'm craving for some nice American home-style cooked food, Stonefire Grill is on the top of my list. Not only do they serve generously and the food is delicious, it is also very affordable and accommodating. I've probably been here a dozen of times and I find the service and food to be very consistent. They offers ribs, tri-tips, chicken, pizza, sandwiches, salad, etc... But what I like the most is their 'Bbq Chicken' - it is super moist and melts in your mouth (could you believe I'm using these descriptive words for a chicken), also their 'Cheesy Garlic Mashed Potatoes' - I could probably finish a gallon of this!, their 'Tri-tip' and 'Parmesan/olive oil Breadsticks' are winners, and their decadent desserts are delectable and sharable as well. Your $50 bucks here can feed off 5 to 6 people, which is not bad at all. read more

Here for lunch today with a friend. As usual, great service, pretty good food, and a reasonable price. Today was super busy and they were struggling to keep up with the demand. So the tables were a little messier than normal, the bathrooms needed cleaning, and the chicken I ordered was a little off the mark (as far as seasoning, presentation, and was slightly cold). So today this otherwise 5-star location was showing a solid 4-stars. Happy to update review if they improve these areas on my next visit. This chain is by far on top of my list in every category: accuracy of the orders they take, speed, food selection, taste, the freshness of the food, cost, food portions and the list goes on and on. Since we have discovered this chain, we rarely buy food from other restaurants. From time to time you may encounter a rude employee at the take out counter but that does not stop us from going back. The male employees in general are more friendly compare to some of the female ones they hire. I find this to be the case in most businesses though where men provide, in general, better customer service than women. Overall love the food. read more

We eat here a lot. I love their salads. The chopped bbq chicken salad, South of the Border Salad, and pinwheel salads are excellent. The Italian chopped salad is pretty decent too. The salads are better than the average chain restaurant. The garlic salmon and garlic chicken are excellent. The tri tip is ok, not the best tri tip I've had. The bread sticks are great. They make a decent chicken tortilla soup. It can get very crowded here, even on weeknights! I love their patio seating. read more

Picked up takeout for the family about 7:15 last night and was greeted by Elsa curbside who couldn't have been nicer. She informed me that they were out of ribs (kinda disappointing), but apologized and replaced it with Tri-tip. She also tossed in some free carrot cake for us! The process was smooth and unlike my visits to many (most?) other places, everything was clean and I felt very safe. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I did want to recognize Elsa and the Stonefire team for a job well done and to thank them for feeding my family some delicious food on Mother's Day. The way they've adapted to this new pandemic way of living with their safe and new protocol is nothing short of amazing. As an engineer myself, I am beyond impressed. Been here a few times and have definitely enjoyed the food. It's a great place to go if you have a large group, very affordable and there's options for everybody. They have different deals with salads, all kinds of choices of bbq and chicken and pizza for kids. Can easily feed a group of 6-8 for hundred bucks. There's also some good beer options. read more

Every couple years the valley has these BBQ / chicken places that pop up that are exciting, but when you go they're just A-OK. Today for lunch, I tried Stonefire, which I can say I'm more than A-OK about - I'm a fan! Of course, didn't hurt that preceding the actual meal several people I talked to when Stonefire was mentioned said stuff like "oooo YUMMY" and "OMG my favorite place!" so my tastebuds were already primed. Plus tri tip and me are friends :) The Chatsworth location is right next to a bunch of other restaurants at the opposite end of a huuuge parking lot that houses the Winnetka 24 movie theatre. There usually is ample parking but don't be fooled by the size of the lot - it actually fills up most nights. They also cater! Some suggestions given my satisfactory meal here today: - Pesto pasta was very delicious - would definitely get it again, definitely over choosing marinara, which was alright, but had more of a creamy marinara twist instead of the traditional tomato no cream approach. Still both were pretty good together in the Tomesto pasta dish which we got. I think the pesto awesomeness made up for the just mediocreness of the marinara 1/2 though. - bread sticks were hot, soft and yummy. dip into the BBQ sauce for a flavor twist. even yummier flavor burst in your mouth: tomesto pasta sauce leftover on your plate + breadsticks :D - tri tip is a must. the gorgonzola butter on top is pretty fab as well. - i'm usually not too big on asian salads because i think they can get pretty tangy and sour and that's about it (nothing fabulous) but i'm a big fan of the asian salad here. there's mandarin oranges, a pretty good dressing mixed in, snow peas, almonds and chicken mixed in. nothing out of the ordinary for an asian salad combination, but this place pulls it off well. read more

My daughter's Prom was canceled due to this crisis so I wanted to plan a "Quarantine Prom" for her at home and have everyone dress up and order her favorite food from the restaurant she celebrates her birthday at every year. I ordered our food and did the curbside pick-up for the Chatsworth location which is a 32 mile round trip. When I get home I see that I'm missing a meal... Naturally I was upset because I wanted everything to be perfect for her since her prom would have been that day. I contacted Stonefire grill and spoke to a young lady who was extremely understanding and they informed me they didn't have any drivers to do a drop off so they refunded me for my entire order and also sent me a $40 gift card. I just wanted to thank them for helping me out during this horrible situation. As a High school Senior parent its been a struggle to keep my daughter positive that her most memorable moments of her Senior year have been canceled so having a Quarantine Prom and making her the Quarantine Queen along with having her favorite meal there might not have been the Prom she wanted but I know it was a Prom she appreciated. Kind of sad that I am giving this place a lower rating BUT I seriously gave them a chance. So I got my favorite South of the Border Salad for lunch and when I got it, it had practically nothing. I even requested for extra on it and it had less BUT still paid more for nothing. No avocado, no cheese, no pepitas, no chips! I just got a bunch of lettuce, green bell pepper?! since when? and big chunks of tomato's. I've had this place a couple of times, it's a must to get their lemon garlic chicken! It's very tasty! I get BBQ on the side. Their bread sticks are amazing as well. This last time I went I decided to give the tri-tip another chance but I did not like it I thought it was too dry. I tried their pesto pasta and thought that was yummy, my bf couldn't stop eating it. I swear the reason that Stonefire does not want you to know how many calories are in anything is because they sneak buttery morsels anywhere they can. I'm writing this review based on going here 3 times and getting the same thing each time. I think this place is ok. It's nothing great. I feel like it's kind of a lame version of Red's bbq (and i prefer Red's). It's not like there is anything really wrong with it here, it's just mediocre. I'v gotten the Bbq chopped chicken salad all 3 times I've been here and it is pretty good. The breadsticks are like a hit or miss. You either get a lot of good ones, or some good and some overcooked, or a lot overcooked and none good. But the restaurant is clean, the servers suck, and the Diet Pepsi is almost always flat. But it's not expensive. I might still be on the fence about this place haha read more

One of my favorite restaurants in the valley. The food like the other location I frequently visit, is always on par. Located near a very busy movie theater makes this location always packed. My only complaint is the furniture. I felt like the spring in the seat were broken, and I was super low in my seat. I noticed this twice. My food, petite chicken w/tri-tip rare, my tri-tip was medium, as I was considering keeping it that way, here came the grilled veggies LOADED w/feta..., ummm I said no feta, my husband doesn't care for it. So I sent my tri-tip back along with the veggies Well turns out an HOUR & 40 minutes almost before closing they are out of tri-tip, so I can have my plate (that they took) back or have chicken.... This is my go to spot for bbq chicken chop salad. The bbq and salad is super fresh. The place looks clean the parking is ample and the service is great. I like the way you order and pay up front and then sit and wait for your food so there is no hassle at the end about splitting checks and what not. Their ranch dressing is bomb just like their breadsticks. They also have a convenient take out section. Highly recommend this place. read more

I went to Stonefire Chatsworth today for company lunch. To my surprise I found metal shavings in my fountain soda. Myself and two other customers spoke with the manager who took a report regarding the ingestion of the particles. However, she could not explain why they are serving sodas with metal fragments in it. Also, the restaurant was modestly filled with about 60-70 people who had also gotten their beverages from the same soda fountain. This is horrible that the manager would not instruct her staff to go to each table and pull the drinks to prevent others from injesting this potentially dangerous metal. I used to love coming to Stonefire Grill but the Chatsworth location just cant cook our tri tip correctly to save their own lives!!!! I ask for Medium Rare every single time and I either get meat so undercooked and red inside that it is red or RAW or meat so overcooked that there is no hint whatsoever of any pink or juice in the middle!!! What in the world is wrong with the cooks at this location that they just cant figure out what medium rare is?!?!?!?! And the worst part is, apparently the management doesn't care in the least as I have complained twice before and the same problem is still occurring!!! Why not get a chart and post it in the kitchen with pictures of what Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, and Well Done look like as well as the temperatures for each so that the cooks know how to cook people's tri tip the way they want it???? Is it really that hard to get someone's order right the first time??? Is cooking a person's meal the way they want it really rocket science for the cooks at Chatsworth??? The garlic lemon chick is delicious. The quinoa is really good, the BBQ chopped salad is good, so why cant they just figure out how to cook the Tri Tip correctly so I can enjoy my meal without having to send it back to have the meat cooked correctly?!?!? The Chatsworth location is also FILTHY as all get out as well. We sat out on the patio area and there were napkins, silverware, straw wrappers and food all over the floor!!!! I watched one hostess pick up a fork off the floor and instead of taking it into the back to be washed or giving it to a bus boy, she simply set the dirty fork down on a table and that is where it stayed while they sat someone down at the table!!! I guess the bottom line here is that management just doesn't care about putting forth a clean and quality product for their customers to enjoy.
