In Mid-February I had an issue with Stonefire Grill. I was so upset that I ran out of the restaurant and onto my computer to submit complaint to the corporate website. The next day Kristen emailed me back, apologized and took care of me. I knew that was an isolated case, so tonight I went back to Stonefire. A 180 degree change. I would've given this more because the food is good. I just don't like the pre-pay/pre-tip method. All the employees are teenagers and don't seem to care much about pleasing us. The weren't rude, but they certainly weren't working for tips, even though I pre-tipped them. Every employee we asked for something were on their dinner break. I used Stonefire Grill for my Wedding and everyone like it. They also help me with the cake cutting and that was very helpful, you pay a little bit extra for that but is worth it because you don't have to bother a family member to help you with the cake, and is more elegant having you catering people doing both, the serving of the food and the cake. The food was delicious, plenty of food for everyone and for the next day, the service excellent and their catering customer service excellent, too. The entrees do not taste as good as they used it! I remember thinking that the ribs were the best ribs I have ever had, but we came here recently and it was literally fat, more fat and a little bit of tasty meat. I went to stone fire grill with the idea that my wife had placed an order with them until I got there. It was very interesting because they had the same exact name and initial of last name as my wife who had placed an order. I paid for the whole thing until I looked at the order and noticed Pizza which is something we rarely order and the total wasn't the same number as what my wife had told me. I called my wife to find out about the order and I put her on the phone with the cashier which within seconds we realized I went to the wrong place. What I was most impressed with was how helpful they were about the whole thing and apologetic on their end while the mistake was on my end. This place has GREAT barbecue! It was fairly cheap and the portions are huge! I ordered the half slab of ribs with a mashed potato side. It was not crowded and the food came very fast. The food I received was huge. The half slab of ribs was over a foot long and the bowl of mashed potatoes was the size of my face. The breadsticks were alright but fairly bland. Tried out their new lunch menu. I ordered the petite salad with salmon and a bread stick. While Stonefire's salads are solidly delicious, I was disappointed to have such a dry salmon. I love eating here. Their lemon garlic chicken is really yummy and juicy. The lemon and garlic are very prominent and I love it. They have tons of garlic pieces that tops the chicken, but lately I've seen less and less. I get their half chicken with the Greek salad, the dressing is tasty but get it on the side, they tend to drown it if you don't. I've also tried their tri tip with BBQ sauce, it's good and the sauce is pretty tangy and not too sweet. I always order a side of their hot pesto sauce to dunk my breadsticks in, the breadsticks are so soft with a bit of crisp, but delicious. I've tried other things on their menu, such as the pizza. Good but not great, I think the chicken and meat is what this place is known for. The butternut squash soup was tasteless. And lastly, I've tried their cookies. I wouldn't order that again either, very stale and not worth it. The reasons I keep coming back are for the chicken and bread sticks. Give it a shot. read more

So we go to this stonefire as well as the fallbrook one at least 3-4 times a month. This place is really great! You can get a delicious pizza as well as great BBQ in the same establishment so everyone in your family is happy. They have a great ceaser salad as well with some quite strong but awesome dressing. I only gave it four stars because it's usually packed and seating can be a little difficult and because the other day I had a small sliver of bone in my BBQ chicken pizza..it was tiny but my tooth sure felt it:/ great place just watch out for the lil bones and don't forget the carrot cake for dessert! read more

I usually come here only when my mother-in-law wants to eat here. Instead of my usual tri-tip and mashed potatoes I ordered a petite cob salad and baked beans. The cob salad dressing was very bitter and had too much pepper. The baked beans were NOT baked beans (to their credit they were not listed as such on the menu but, the cashier, when asked, said they were baked beans) they were just cooked beans. I will give the manager credit, she asked me if I wanted something else and I said no. She refunded my money and even refunded the drink (which I finished).
