I'm at a loss in understanding how people compliment the food at this place, but maybe other dishes warrant the praise. My experience was anything other than acceptable fare, though. My wife and I both ordered the tri-tip sandwich and both of us could not chew through the meat. I mean, a shark would have a tough time trying to chew that thing. I thought it may have been one of those pranks where someone steps out with a camera and says "you're going to be on youtube gnawing on that barbecue shoe tongue." In any event, the place isn't inordinately expensive so you can find out for yourself. However, I'd recommend spending your money on something more palatable in the vicinity like The Longhorn, or Chili's, or The Yardhouse, or BJ's, or just about anything other than this Stonefire Grill. read more

I ordered curbside Saturday night for two meals one being the shareable Chicken Alfredo and the other was the Grilled Chicken Breast with garlic mashed potatoes along with their delicious homemade carrot cake. The Chicken Alfredo unfortunately was a bit dry and lacked much of the chicken so I went back the next day to let them know and possibly pick up some Alfredo Sauce. I advised the employee at the register (Karlain - not sure of spelling) of my concern and before I could finish telling her, the manager Rene stepped in and said we will take care of you - we will replace it for you and while we are at it we will add the shareable carrot cake to the order. I was overwhelmed with the service I received. Usually when you go into an establishment with a concern you have to ask to speak with someone (and they are never there, etc.) and the outcome may not make the situation right and to the point you never want to go back there again. That is not the case here. Because of how it was resolved I only want to frequent Stonefire Grill, as well as tell everyone about their exemplary service. Rene is an amazing and professional manager. She truly shows the care and concern to the customer is very important and she demonstrated that as a priority in making sure everything was taken care of to perfection. Karlain was amazing and took care of it from start to finish making sure the Chicken Alfredo was perfect with chunks of chicken and added sauce. She is truly great at customer service and her attitude is upbeat and professional. I have to compliment Rene and Karlain for their professionalism, follow through and customer service they showed. It is very refreshing to see that nowadays in the hospitality industry. This location is great! We ordered a mega feast and the cauliflower everything was terrific! The last time I ordered Stonefire was at the Valencia location. For Christmas Eve dinner. It was terrible. Almost everything was not right with that dinner so I wrote a review and warned everyone not to trust them with a special event dinner. The manager was very kind and reached out to me and sent me an apology and gift card to use to try them again. Well it's been awhile but I finally remembered about it and we used it at the Rancho Cucamonga location. The manager took the card and said she would take care of it since it seemed to not be working even. I'm not sure why but anyway the Neal was fabulous. The ribs so tender the tri tip perfectly cooked. The cauliflower so different and delicious. The potatoes salad breadsticks I mean all perfect. My daughters loved the garlic lemon chicken so much. This is definitely one of my favorite spots. The food is great, and the prices are good! My husband and I stopped in for a late night dinner and enjoyed some delicious tri tip and salads. My only complaint was that I ordered the petite (6 oz) tri tip, and he ordered the regular (10-12oz). We were served the same sized meat plates, so he asked for them to correct this. About 5 minutes later the manager came out with a more appropriate sized plate, and he was happy they accommodated so easily. Good luck. The tri tip was juicy, the St. Louis ribs were dry and rushed. The pasta is so bland it's just a bowl of noodles. The sauce can only be compared to hospital grade. It's watered down and gelatinous, sort of pink in color. The drinks are in the back and self service. The interior is nice, free ample parking. The prices aren't unreasonable, but do not reflect the lack of service. Unfortunately, I feel as if I've outgrown this *type of restaurant. It felt immature. The lady(manager) at the register had an attitude rushing us to take the order. They made a wrong pizza and they threw some mushroom on the pizza uncooked without any apologizing for delayed serving. We LOVE Stonefire Grill ! My husband had the small Pesto Pasta w/ Cesar salad. So I do want to point out that the size small bowl of pasta was enough for two people. However, I do love that they have about 12-15 different salads, which is the most I've ever seen at a restaurant for salad choices. The food quality to me is very similar to Noodles & Company. It's a quick-serve restaurant. When they were constructing this place, I had never heard of this restaurant before, so I thought it was a little more upscale than what it is. But it's still OK. The food comes quite fast. I really liked the pesto pasta, even better than their mac and cheese. I also had the cobb salad. They were good, but the salad needs a lot more of the other ingredients besides all this lettuce. There's hardly any chicken, onions, tomatoes, and whatever else it's supposed to have. Perhaps I didn't order the right thing, but nothing was memorable about that first trip. After a sneak preview of the restaurant compliments of a Yelp Elite Event earlier this year, my wife and I quickly became fans of Stonefire Grill. Although this is an order-at-the-counter style slow-food restaurant, service has been exemplary during every one of our visits here. Kudos to the staff for always being quick with our meal and other requests. The food has always lived up to my initial experience with this location as well. We order the tri-tip special for two every time we come here: tri-tip cooked to your preferred doneness, bread sticks, a salad (we prefer the Caesar), and a side (we love the garlic mashed potatoes). It's a straightforward, filling meal for both of us and there's always leftovers. If we have a sweet tooth then we'll order a slice of their sinfully delicious carrot cake (it's huge). Me and one other person visited last evening, 8 January 2024. We had never been there before but heard from others what to expect the ambience was beautiful, warm and inviting and the smell of the wood burning was fantastic. I do feel there needs to be more fire pits around the restaurant to get more of the warm fireplace feeling. The food although it tasted fabulous, it was cold everything came out lukewarm except the mashed potatoes. In fact, the food was cool. I ordered cream corn and it was cool. The breadsticks got hard in an instant and cold the chicken was dry and cold And the tri-tip was barely warm. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that had steam coming off of them so if you're looking for a hot plate restaurant, this is not your place again the flavor is amazing but the service was less than desirable, and the food was way too cold. Yesterday I went alone to celebrate my first Father's Day without my father. I took his picture and placed it in front of me as I celebrated him I couldn't stop sobbing and a sweet employee (who I didn't get his name) made the sweetest gesture. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and was very impressed! My sister and I ordered at the front an Asian salad and the 9" STONEFIRE favorite pizza. The Asian salad was delicious with its wontons and mandarins mixed with lettuce in a sesame dressing. However, a server brought out a veggie pizza which was the wrong pizza. We looked at our receipt and saw that the girl in the front had accidentally punched in the wrong pizza. After approaching a waitresss and explaining the situation, they quickly made the correct pizza for us and allowed us to keep the veggie pizza since it had touched our table. All of the employees who helped correct the situation sincerely apologized to us which was something very much appreciated. I like that this is a locally owned chain and I like the concept - but now that I have eaten here 3-4 times and picked up takeout twice...I am finding them frustrating due to an overall lack of consistency. The only thing that seems to be consistent is the carrot cake (which you should try...it is killer). Everything else is good one time and then less good another time. Tri-tip (tender and flavorful the first time, chewy and a bit tough the next two times). Ribs (tender and delicious the first time, chewy the next few times).
