The staff is amazing and very helpful, they have curbside pickup and the manager is attentive and always assures great customer service! My wife and I have enjoyed there menu for years and recently we have been eating a more keto friendly diet, and Stonefire's robust menu has been a great option. We often order our meats with the sauce on the side to better portion the quantity. There BBQ chopped salad is second to none! And their pizza is one of the best I have ever had! We pulled up to the curbside space & someone came out right away to confirm our order. He brought it out quickly & was very nice. We ordered the trip tip meal, lemon chicken, garlic mashed potatoes & garden salad. Oh and added the carrot cake! Everything was very good, still warm and fresh. So bumbed!! First time at stone fire in Rancho, we have been to irvine a bunch of times, so expectations were high and boy were we disappointed. Started out with 3 dried out no flavor bread sticks, to the half slab of medium cold ribs followed by an under achieving Tri Tip Salad. All in all $50 I'd love to have back in my wallet. I sure hope the Irvine location isnt like this now. I hear about this place for the longest time and finally had the opportunity to have one near by. So far I have tried the ribs, the tri tip and salads as well. No disappointments with the food everything that I have taste is great. The service is really good. The only thing that I dislike is that I was expecting a order at your table versus ordering at the counter. Ordering before sitting annoys me but I guess works for them. Me and my daughter Stopped into Stonefire Grill for lunch 2/13/20 and enjoyed the food very much, and although, there is no waiter service they do come by to ask if you need anything additional and to just do a basic check. After a handful of visits, I think it's fair to say my family are fans of this establishment! To the review.... Ambience: Very similar to other casual dining places. It's still fairly new so it still has that "new restaurant" feel. Although it's a casual restaurant, I can still see you taking a date here, but not a first date. This is the we've been dating for awhile, I feel comfortable with him/her, want some decent food, don't want to get all dressed up, but still want to go to somewhere nice, type date! Service: Stonefire is unique in that you don't have a traditional wait staff. Rather you order up front, take a buzzer and the food is delivered to your table. Drinks, plates, untensils, napkins, etc are all self-serve. Other than that, the food "deliverers" are very nice and happy to accomodate special requests. Food: Quite good! When on point, I'd put their tri-tip against some of the best out there! The chicken is always juicy, as is the salmon. The double cheeseburger is pretty good also. My family loves their pesto pasta! However, if there's any place they fall short, it's with their sides. The mashed potatoes leave much to be desired. It's dry and there's hardly any garlic taste. The beans are "okay". And according to my non-carnivore companions, the veggies are "okay" as well. Price: When you're the only person working to support a family of five, you're always looking for opportunities to save money and be frugle, but at the same time, you don't want to feed your family crap. IMO, Stonefire straddles that balance for us nicely. They aren't the cheapest, but definitely more affordable than other restaurants in the area (i.e. Cheesecake Factory), plus you don't have to tip since it's self-serve so extra saving there. They have a "tri tip for 2" special for $20 that's easy on the wallet, is a great portion, and tastes great! Can't beat that! Overall, I highly recommend Stonefire Grill! They do a great job of hitting that niche family restaurant destination without being stuck in past. Prices are good, service is friendly, and most importantly, my family likes the food! I am a huge fan of Stonefire and always go to the one in Pasadena. I was so happy to see one open in Rancho near my work and have been looking forward to getting some lunch here. I ordered online the other day because I know how long it can take. I ordered a Tortilla soup and BBQ tri tip chopped salad. By the time I got there and waited in line at the pick-up area it was already a few minutes past my pick-up time. The woman helping me was nice, but said my salad would be a few more minutes. This is expected and I don't mind. I'm waiting and see someone come in and I guess she had a large order placed for pick-up. I noticed my soup on the counter ready and sitting there, but not sure what was taking so long with my salad, it was a simple petite. I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes more than my pick-up time, I was on my lunch break for work and thankfully my bosses don't time me, but I can't imagine the situation for anyone who would be timed and spent this long waiting on their pick-up, especially after placing an order online. Time I can deal with and get over, but my low rating is for the food. Something was really off about my soup and salad. I ate half my soup and salad and ended up throwing the rest away because I started to feel sick. The ranch was watered down and felt like there was not enough bbq sauce, the Tri tip was cold and tasteless and I had a bitter taste in my salad the whole time. The soup I had to re-heat when I got back to work because it wasn't warm anymore and something tasted really off about it. I felt really nauseated and couldn't eat for the rest of the day when I got home. I don't want to rule this location out and am hoping it was just an off day or something, and I do plan to give it another chance and come again for lunch next week and dine in, but I really hope I don't experience this weird tasting food situation again. read more

While the Desert Menu may be small it defiantly packs a punch from Carrot Cake to Brownies and warm Chocolate Chip cookies. It can get kinda crazy and congested in the entrance area though. Food came out very fast and I liked everything I got! I got the petite lemon garlic chicken breast with BBQ tri tip cooked medium rare and side garden salad. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The tri tip was cooked perfectly (medium rare as all beef should be cooked) and could taste the mesquite BBQ. All meals come with either soup, salad or side and two breadsticks. The bf got the roast beef dip and wasn't much of a fan. He said the beef was a little tough for his liking but he enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup. FYI the soup is creamy like tomato soup. The prices are extremely reasonable for all the food you get. Service was amazing as well. Every staff member was extremely polite and helpful from the hostess, cashier, servers and managers. Food always tastes better when the people serving you are friendly and professional. Towards the end a server named Jessica came to ask how all the food was. I was honest with her and told her my bf didn't like the roast beef dip much. She was super sweet and let us know that next time we can tell them right away and they can give us something else but since we were done eating, she insisted that she gets a manager to see what he can do. Next thing we know, Travis (I think he was a manager) comes to our table, apologizes that the sandwich wasn't to his liking and hands us a card for a complimentary salad or sandwich for our next visit. But here's the rub: it's basically a high end Sizzlers Restuarant without the "all you can eat" salad bar You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Food is a little fancier than Sizzler, and with fancier food, comes a fancier price. I had the baby back ribs, comes with two bread sticks and a side or salad (purchased the side garlic mashed potatoes?. - a just OK. They brought out my side dishes separately (mashed potatoes, and a salad). Guess what, my potatoes got cold while waiting for the ribs. I would rather have Lucille's BBQ. The wife had the tri-tip. Pretty good. For me if you're going to spend a lot of money, I want to be served. I don't want to get my water, utensils and napkins. Sorry, it's not romantic nor does it have a nice ambiance. This was our first time at Stonefire Grill on 10/27. As soon as we walked in we stood in line--we were greeted by staff and provided a menu. The staff was friendly and informative about the menu selection. After you place your order, you are given a cup, you serve your drink and get your silverware. You then select where you would like to sit. The complimentary bread sticks were delivered along with the salads that we ordered within minutes. While we ate, Two or three staff members made their rounds to check in on us--which was nice and appreciated. The food was excellent!! The garlic lemon chicken was so delicious and tender! I also had the BBQ tri-tip. My husband ordered the BBQ ribs and BBQ tri-tip with garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are must have item! I ordered a piece of carrot cake to go--it was so delicious and moist! Takeaway: If you're pressed for time, I definitely recommend this restaurant because you will be eating good food in a short amount of time. Everything was fresh and delicious. I first came to Stonefire Grill for a yelp event and was pretty much blown away by their food. So word is they have over 18 different salads!! EIGHTEEN!!!! the same number Tyga was really able to date Kylie.... but I will just sip my tea as I look at the menu.... So I fell on the spinach salad. After watching what the health on Netflix I am a Vegan now.. I am not trying to eat cancer dogs, diabetes breasts, or ground cancer so I am safe with salads right?? The spinach salad is a full salad of spinach (go figure). After trying the salads at the event I knew it was good. They add all the vegan fixins.. the vegetables carrots, tomato, avocado. Tings like that. I need to start checkin my togo orders before I leave establishments because you just never know. When I got home to grub on dat salad, I saw the avocado was missing. I was looking forward to that avocado though! I contacted the manager and he was so apologetic of the situation and it was okay, they have new employees and are a new establishment in this area so they are working out all the screws in the beginning. I actually forget, but it had beets and olives it was really texturally appealing and savory and sweet and all sorts of good stuff. Alot of food for two people at an okay price. Love the vegan options but there are no non-dairy milk options for coffee. The parking is ample, but your order before you go sit down.
