This was our first time actually trying out this place, unfortunately it will be the last. The staff and everyone who attended to us was friendly, however the chicken was terrible. It was completely uncooked, it looks as if they had it on the grill for 5 minutes. You can clearly see the pink and the blood from the chicken... I'm pregnant and can not eat this. I am very disappointed because the woman on the phone insisted the chicken was "supposed to be a little pink because it was slow roasted". Serious - MUST TRY! We stopped in shortly after they opened on a Monday, eager to try something new. The first impression was fantastic!! They saw us approaching and opened the door for our arrival, greeting us, asking if it was our first time and then giving us a detailed explanation of their process - very very customer service oriented, friendly and going one step above and beyond in every way. This extended from the person who opened the door to the server, to the bus lady. The atmosphere was very relaxing, LOTS of seating with various options, very clean, lots of natural wood, and inviting. You order and pay at the front, get your own beverage and utensils and carry out containers - although it doesn't have the feel of a buffet or cafeteria. It actually has a more upscale feel and is ingenious because you're not waiting on any wait staff for anything other than bringing your food to your table. The food was brought very quickly - we had time to get our beverages and utensils and just sit down to relax before our salads & bread were brought. The menu had everything from salads, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, and BBQ proteins. The thing that impressed us about the menu was the healthier choices that were offered and updated flavor profiles; Roasted Cauliflower, quinoa Gorgonzola butter - no fries on the menu. Hubby had the Pepper and Garlic crusted Tri Tip with Gorgonzola Butter, Lemon Roasted Chicken and Nutty Coleslaw. The meat was cooked exactly as ordered!! They were both JUICY, TENDER, FRESH.... THE BEST!! The coleslaw was light and delicious with a vinaigrette rather than creamy sauce. Ok , forget the resturant design and layout your use to . With the main order area so small after 4 or 5 are waiting to order people are pushed out the door. You order at the entrance and pay for your meal ' then take your gps table marker and find a seat . Once inside' the resturant boast a modern layout and design with a glass enclosed kitchen and a drink station in the far back corner which is self -serve . Once your meal is served , your on your own. Not once did anyone come bye and ask if everything was ok and/or if we needed anything .the food was fresh and plated great . In our party we ordered ,Tri -tip with the cowboy beans and garlic cheese mashed potatoes, tomesto pasta , bbq sandwhich and pepperoni pizza. Overall the food is the main attraction ' and with this the 9th of a family owned establishment , Stonefire * sends mixed thoughts ' ordering and paying up front and then seating yourself along with the self service drink station which is small' once four to five people it becomes standing room only like a 'Fast food establishment. The waiters and waitresses wondering the floor searching for the 'gps marker. I just dont get what *stone fire 'is trying to market itself as ' Fast food or modern eatery . Stonefire Grill is a great sit down restaurant quality food. When you walk in you order at the cashier counter and the wait staff will bring you your food. You can sit wherever you want. The food is great quality with fresh ingredients and so many options. There is pizzas, pastas, salads, meat/steak options, chicken, and fish. I love their pizza its delicious and come with so many toppings. The portions are very generous and the staff is very helpful with orders and bringing you anything you need. Me and my boyfriend got the tri tip dinner for two and it was MORE than enough food. We chose to go with the Cesar salad and the cauliflower salad as our sides. (We are doing a low carb diet.) the salad had a very strong eye watering taste of onion for some odd reason even though it didn't contain any. The cauliflower salad was really gross in our onion. I ordered petite tri tip with garlic sauce, which was too rare so they accommodated and have me medium. Again, didn't have the 'grilled seared' like the one my friend posted. I've been here 3 times and each time the food has been great. I've had the Caesar salad, pesto pasta, and the all American cheese burger sans the cheese. The burger came with a really good sriracha ranch to dip your chips in but I found dipping my burger in it was better. Came here for dinner with the family on a Tuesday night. The quality of the food was excellent and the customer service was excellent. The only reason they got a 4 star is because the dining area has a few dirty tables with some items underneath the tables, and the bathroom was a little under maintained. Not what was expected. Upon entry, you place your order and pay to receive a number and your drink cups. Not enough space at entry to really review menu in crowd. Once you find a table, and it's self service beverages like a buffet. They bring you your food, no silverware on the table so backup to get your silverware. Food was very good. We all had tri-tip which was well-cooked and flavorful. The garlic mashed potatoes and breadsticks were also very good. When we asked for a to go container, someone pointed they are over there and we once again had to get up and serve ourselves. This place was pretty good. I went to this chain at another location and I'm glad the quality is still the same at different locations. My teammates and I needed a place to get pasta the night before outlet cross country race. Every place was bad for us, didn't have pasta, or had a 2 hour wait near our hotel. So thankful I called here and there was only a 10 minute wait when we got there. I got the penne bolognese and I still liked it. It's a good amount o pasta for what I paid for. Normally I would eat half or a little more than and take the rest back. But I guess that day I was hungry and finished the whole thing and I knew I didn't have a time to eat the rest of it. It's filling and flavorful. Very basic dish that was a great fuel for the race I had in the morning after. The servers were really nice with us too. It was about 6 of us. It's normally a order and seat yourself kind of deal. But the place started to get crowded so they found a big enough space for us in the patio all to ourselves. Food came out a little slow. They also missed my order and my whole team was waiting for mine to come out. So they have us complicated bread sticks since they had to quickly make mine. They checked up on us (which normally they don't do) and it was a good time. There is ample parking there since it's in a lot. Would I come here again? BUT, we were craving BBQ the other day and while we have been trying to support our local restaurants about once a week recently, we were ready to give up. in about 5 weeks we did not have one positive experience. WOW, my Husband and I went in with no great expectations and we were shocked at how fantastic the food was! The tri-tip was soooo tender, the chicken and baby back ribs were meaty and juicy, the Cesar salad (huge) was FRESH, CRISP AND WONDERFUL! We (myself my mom and my daughter) went into tonight and the host and cash people were saying two different things. The salads came really fast and I was sort of impressed. Not to long after our food came. It looked great. The wait staff was nice and helpful. The food was cool. Not cold but not warm or hot.. but they brought it up so fast that it just seemed like it's buffet style in the kitchen. The food itself was mediocre... at best.... the mash potatoes were actually really good. But the meat was cool and bland. The appearance of the place is great. They decorated it nice. But.... over all it simply was not that great... I will try it again in the future (because one time could have been caused by a busy night). But I really think I will try it as more of a lunch spot. It feels more like a cafeteria then a regular restaurant. With a few tweaks it could be a decent quick panara style eatery. Appearance = great Host and orders = confused. Servers = ok. This was my first time at a StoneFire Grill. I was invited to a preview event, and the crowd was lined up along the side of the restaurant. Even though it was completely crazy busy, the kitchen got the food out with expediency and it was all freshly made and very good. You can see the kitchen staff from the dining area and they were focused and working very well together. The waitstaff was helpful, courteous and constantly asking if there was anything that was needed. I especially liked the managers taking time to converse with the patrons. We had the tri tip, ribs, salmon and mac and cheese and was able to upgrade my side to quinoa and also had the cauliflower salad. For dessert, we had the brownie, carrot cake and cheesecake. Overall, I really enjoyed the salmon and the cauliflower the most. My daughter loved the cheesiness of the mac and cheese. The tri-tip was spot on and the ribs were okay (maybe a tad dry). For dessert, from the carrot cake, cheesecake and brownie, I would suggest the carrot cake which was amazing. I'm unsure if they can heat it, but I would think warming it would put it over the edge of epic! The ambiance is really enjoyable. There is a feeling of a nice hotel steak house without the high cost. The price is reasonable and I look forward to coming back again! read more

My husband and I were at Stonefire Grill in Rancho Cucamonga today for an early dinner. I was quite surprised at how dirty it was. Not only was the cleanliness in question, but my husband killed a giant roach that was crawling on the floor next to our booth and there were gnats and flies buzzing around the drink machine and landing on the utensils. The food is great! No complaints on that, but I couldn't give it five stars for just a few reasons. The line to get in is a bit of a logistical nightmare. People just crowd in to get to the three registers to order their food, and then they have to deal with hunting down a table. After that, everything calms down and the waiters/waitresses are aggressively attentive, which makes sense because they need to make room for more people that are waiting in the line that is already out the door. We had the margherita pizza, the chicken tortilla soup, the petite garden salad, bread sticks and a pound of salmon. All delish!!! Especially that soup! Normally soup at restaurants are overly salty, this one was full of flavor. And the bread sticks!!! Yes please. For dessert, we ordered the brownie, but I wouldn't get it again. Tell me it's ready and I will pick it up. I got the pizza and it could have been cooked more.
