Great healthy food with healthy selections!!! I highly recommend it!!!! You won't be sorry!!!

We have only done takeout so far. We got one of the barbecue party meals that came with breadsticks (excellent), choice of meat choice and salad and I think one side. Said it fed 4-6 and the three of us had leftovers for much of the week. The tri tip was excellent and the salad, although nothing special in terms of ingredients was nice and fresh. The four instead of five was I personally don't like the set up of ordering then being sested for this type of restaurant. Fine for salad places but pricey enough and too much food like mashed potatoes that would not be good if not super hot. Very noisy too. They are close to us, staff very friendly and definitely would do take out again and try more entrees. read more

First time here tonight, wish we had given it a try sooner! Food was amazing, everyone in our party was satisfied (that's including the 3 year old!) Oriana was awesome! She checked in on us to make sure we were set with our food and made sure everything was satisfactory. Cookies for dessert were very good too, I think my toddler ate majority of it lol. Tonight was our second time we intended to eat at this restaurant. The first time was three weeks ago and it was very busy and we left before placing our order. However, we had heard great things about this place and we had to give it another try. We waited for less than 15 min to place our order and our table was ready for us. We were very surprised when the food arrived very quickly. It was so worth waiting in line! Everything was delicious. My husband ordered the tri tip and chicken, my kids ordered pizza and a tri tip sandwich and I ordered a chicken salad. We were not disappointed at all. The carrot cake melts in your mouth! Everything was better than we expected and the service was amazing. We want to thank especially Oriana for her great suggestions and friendliness. We will definitely come back again. read more

I absolutely love this place!! I always went to the locations in the valley. The menu is exceptional and has so many different items to choose from! There lunch specials are a great deal! The bread sticks and quinoa are superb! My favorite is the BBQ chop Tri-Tip Salad.. it has corn, black beans , onions, cheese.. so yummy!!! I personally like how I can go grab more plates or napkins if needed. The togo containers are at every station corner which is very convenient. The staff and managers very friendly and polite! I am very happy you guys finally came and opened a restaurant in the South Bay!! I have already came in 3 times since the grand opening last month.!!! Highly recommended! read more

This use to be my favorite place to get tri tip..I was going almost every 2 weeks..the last time I did take out on a tri tip it was unedible..my 6yr old daughter & I almost choked on it couldn't even chew it it was rubbery n too chewy..in the past I kept coming back because the tri tip use to melt in my mouth.. seems like they choose cheaper cuts of meat..so I figured I'd give them one more chance to maybe redeem themselves so I went to dine in & it was the same problem with the tri tip..the service was horrible n almost non existent..my pizza was cold n the Cobb salad was disgusting n had no flavor n was soggy...all around a bad experience..we complained about the tri tip n nothing was done..last I heard restaurants were suppose to make their PAYING customers happy with their experience not the case here..bet if the employees families ate here they'd probably get the royal treatment n service.. read more

This restaurant is the best restaurant I've been to in many many years. The food is outrageous and they have so many choices everyone will go home happy! (My favorite is the chicken and tri tip combo with the cartwheel salad). The staff is so professional, courteous and very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with one of the servers, Hayley. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and checked back on us frequently to make sure we were all okay. Wanted to try because of the hype........arrived approximately at 5 pm before dinner rush on a Monday. 3 occupied tables in this huge space that was originally Macaroni Grill. Placed a order for two, based on cashier's recommendation. We waited until 5 30 and were about to get up and ask for a refund because of the delay until I saw a server coming with the tray of food. French Dip was inedible. Could not chew meat it was so tough. The roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce was one mass piece with the center that was not tender, and usually not eaten. Individual tri tip pizza was tasteless, bbq sauce tasted like it was average bottled sauce and tri tip pieces looked like crumbs. Told server when she came back with more au jus for French dip after 15 minutes that we could not eat it. She grabbed receipt, and told me she would get a refund. Another 20 minutes passed as we split the personal tri tip pizza and one of the managers came by to apologize for the tough meat. I also told him the bread sticks did not come with the order. After spending another 15 minutes there, he came back with the original receipt and credited entire check. Horrible service and food, but at least manager made it right... American's eat anything and have very low standards. Couldn't believe the line of people waiting to order when leaving. One last thing that ruins the experience, is that water and drink fountain is at the far corner of this enormous place. You have to get up, every time you want a refill and walk 200 feet. read more

This is a nice restaurant and the pizza is great, however, DO NOT order the chicken. The first time we went there, we went to the new one in Torrance. I ordered the lemon garlic boneless chicken. It was grossly under cooked so I didn't eat it. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing because they were busy. We went back and I ordered the chicken again. Big mistake!! Under cooked again! Everyone knows that under cooked chicken is not only gross, it's dangerous! My son and his family went to the one in Torrance and his chicken was also under cooked which lead to an ER visit for him later that night. This definitely needs to be addressed or there will be a lot of sick people. read more

enjoyed the tri tip and beers. however, i had an issue with the timing of service and was promptly treated with disdain by one of the managers, when i brought the issue up. Clint (?), was one the rudest people i have ever managed to encounter just in the general scale of humanity. He started quizzing and questioning ME. did not like it but i will return just to receive more abuse and tri tips. otherwise a great experience!!! read more

We really wanted to live this place the smell from outside to inside is wonderful we walked in decided to sit down to look over the menu since it was our first time we had a hard time finding a table that wasn't greasy and leftover food crumbles on them finally found a clean one ordered a pizza with tri tip and it was ok but lacking much tri tip and the little squares we did get were a lot of fat honestly felt like a frozen pizza to is however the chips and onion dip was good and the carrot cake was to die for the only problem we can see here is lack of staff training and amazing the girl who we had to ask for our cake again saw our table covered with dirty dishes and never picked up one to carry back to the kitchen many food servers saw the pile up and not one would clear a dish most of the people that work there seem nice just not aware of what to actually do for the customers I get that it is a get your own type place but step it up guys or this place will be closing in no time because you will not retain the customers we have seen it happen a million times read more

Been there three times and the tri tip is consistently tender and moist. I always get the bbq flavor. Three of us get the tri tip for two. Comes with a salad and a side. Selected the cartwheel salad, lots of goodies in the salad with a good vinaigrette dressing. Also loved the coleslaw as a side. Stonefire beans were good. Tried the salt and pepper potato chips, they are okay. Nothing special. Overall, a good place for lunch or dinner. Plenty of seating. You order up front, they give you a number and you select your seat. They bring your food to you. The only suggestion, is they should have small serving spoons, not the huge buffet type service spoon. Service is excellent. They have lunch specials but I didn't see tri tip on the lunch special menu. read more

greetings. hubby and I had just seen the excellent movie Overcomer at rolling hills AMC then headed over to stonefire for dinner. we were given our cartwheel salad and roasted veggies. we were almost finished and still hadn't received our chicken and tri tip. I went to the kitchen and it was pretty backlogged. said they would check. about 5 minutes later James the manager came over and apologized and refunded our entire meal. what excellent amazing service. everyone was friendly kind and apologetic. we loved our server Kevin. great attitude. love the atmosphere of this restaurant. they bent over backwards to make our dining experience right. thank you for the people you hire and the amazing food. perfectly cooked.... read more

Not a fan of this place at all.. seemed like a more expensive version of pat and oscars. It's a sit down fast food place so you don't have a sever, you order when you walk in and you get a number. It took forever for someone to clean our table, it took forever to get more bread and they forgot one of our entrees. We also waited quite some time. I was dining in with my grandmother last night and we never got our breadsticks and our veggies were a little cold. A server named Natalie or Natalia (can't quite remember) came to us and seemed genuinely concerned. She brought us the breadsticks and fresh batch of veggies and came back to check on us the rest of the night to see if we needed anything. Food could have been warmer but their servers are great. Had an extremely pleasant time at stonefire grill. The manager are always walking around, Clint Sarah and Keith were extremely helpful. Clint made sure that my aunt had more wine and chips when I asked for some. Everyone is extremely friendly and answers any question I ask. The food came out extremely fast. Food tastes amazing. So good I kept dripping little bits of my tortilla soup on me because I could not get in my mouth fast enough. The lemon garlic chicken is so tender I could not stop eating even after I was full. Well against my experience last time I tried again only this time to get sick from the salad I ordered. Never again. This place is horrible

Although we've had Stonefire Grill for several family get togethers, it was our first time actually visiting one. The staff seemed friendly, the guy working the register said he was new to the lunch menu and had to ask about prices and substitutions. But, he was nice. Got our food from a very friendly runner and lunch was delicious. We were just looking at the take out menu and noticed it said drinks were only $1.49 with the lunch special. So, I know it's only a dollar, but I'd much rather put it in the tip jar (already gave them 20%), than have the restaurant gettin it. After we ate I went to inquire and the young man who initially took our order, said "oh yes, let me ask my manager how to refund you". So he comes back and the manager tells me it's a 90 cent refund. She proceeds to hand me a dollar. I turn around and place it in the tip jar. As we are walking away, my daughter says the manager turned to the other workers and says, "oh my God, it was just a dollar!"... yes, a dollar is a dollar! If they did that to everyone, it would be hundreds of dollars. And, what kind of manager is this? Needless to say, although the food was delicious, and the rest of the customer service was good, I will be visiting one of the other Stonefire Grills! read more

The building is more of a traditional restaurant, but when you walk in, you'll find it's not. You go to the counter and order your food. You then select your seat and they bring the meal to you. Your drinks are self serve along with your utensils and condiments. I was a little disappointed. The taste of the meal was okay but the portions are lunch size portions. Maybe if I got the bbq meal instead of the pizza and sandwich. read more

I have to say that Andrew, the manager gave exceptional service. We ordered a family meal. We got the salad, tri tip and appetizer just fine. He came over and explained there was a mix up with our pizza and they were making it again. Offered us dessert and we declined and said it was fine. The pizza came out and he asked if I had paid for the meal and I said yes. He gave me a receipt and said he had reversed my charges completely. He said it was unacceptable we had to have our meal at different times and the lapse between was too far. We didnt expect that and it was great service for him to acknowledge it. Went here with my daughter a few days ago and had a decent meal. Really don't like the feel of ordering when you first walk in but I see more and more places are doing that lately. That is why the 4 stars. As far as our meal it was pretty good I ordered the baby back ribs and they were very good. Also had the carmalized onion dip not a fan of it came out cold and I guess I was hoping it to be a hot dish. Also had a dinner salad which was fresh and delicious. I came here with my wife after reading mostly positive reviews of this place. As a huge fan of tri-tip, I already knew what I was going to order when I arrived. When we walked in, one of the waitresses came up to us and asked for a name, assuring us a table would be ready for us by the time we ordered. Another employee went over the menu with us in line, and instructed us on how their system works. By the time we arrived at the cashier and placed our order, our table was ready, so we got our drinks and sat down. Once the order arrived, I tried the BBQ tri-tip (I ordered the combo BBQ/Garlic 12oz.) I couldn't even chew the first piece as it was all fat. The second piece hit my mouth and I could tell it had been sitting out for a while because it was maybe room-temperature. The rest of my meal (what I willed myself to eat, at least) was about the same experience. Maybe I got a bad cut, it happens, but to serve food that is barely warm to the touch is unacceptable. I ate maybe three pieces of my meat and relegated to just munching on my 2 bread sticks (which were very good) and my mashed potatoes (pretty good). I would have shared my complaints about the food to someone, but once our meal came out, absolutely no other employee even came remotely close to our table to see how we were. As much as I wanted to like this place, they won't be receiving my money again. read more

What a difference a year makes. Stonefire...did you give up on good food and service? Ordered the salmon...they were out. Ordered the alternate fish item (think it was Seabass)...they were out. Settled on the chicken...it was super dry. My husband got his salad and I waited and waited for my chicken. Oh yes...Diet Coke was also out...in both machines. Had to wait for that so I could wash down the dry chicken. Let the waiter know and he said he'd tell someone. No Manager came to our table. I've been there probably a dozen times in the last year and this time was horrible. Just how can you be out of one of your main items? read more

So the first time we came here, they had not been open long and had a few kinks to work out but we came back today for lunch and loved it. The cashier, Emily was super friendly and helpful. she offered the family loyalty card that we did not know about. When my husband said he wanted a beer, she suggested the new beers on tap.. which made him very happy.
