Wanted to find a place to sit down and eat and be served in Haleiwa, didn't want to go eat at a take out place, food truck or sit in the hot sun. Decided to check this place out. Nice place, island vibe, open seating area outside as well as nice inside tables with a bar and some bar tables. There were college football games playing on the TV's at the Bar so my husband wanted to sit there, we were seated at a high top right next to a big open window that looked out on to the lanai where they had the outdoor seating. It was a cool day, thank goodness and there was a nice breeze coming through. There were a mix of tourists and locals. The host was very friendly and seated us quickly, and he took the time to ask how our day was going and we commiserated over the traffic going through Haleiwa, he shared how long it takes him to get to work even when he lives close by. Our server was also the bartender, she was friendly as well and took our drink and lunch orders. By the time we were leaving it was pretty busy and she was the only bartender on duty trying to take care of her customers seated at the bar and bar tables as well as making drinks for all the other servers. She apologized for not checking on us towards the end, but we told her no worries we saw she was getting slammed. Drinks were delicious, the Lilikoi Kamikaze was so pretty and tasted like just as pretty, the Smokey Treat was their version of an Old Fashion, my Hubby enjoyed it! The food was delicious too, The Cheesesteak meat was thinly sliced and easy to bite in to without pulling the meat out of the roll and I was happy that they served it French Dip style with the Au Jus. My Hubby ordered the Ola Katsu Fish Sandwich and he really enjoyed it, all the ingredients were nice and fresh. Would definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Music was top notch. Service from Ryan was amazing. His wife at the bar was cranking out drinks too. The two hosts were kind and things were orchestrated well on a busy brunch weekend. Did you know that this place also slangs Kauai Juice Co hot sauces and chili pepper water?!?? Wished the seafood omelette was more drenched in chowder, the fish could've been more moist and I wouldn't have denied a few extra pieces of shrimp as well, but it is what it is. Wife got the big braddah with chorizo and it paired well with her mimosa she said. Was able to purchase the singer a drink for her lovely entertainment skills and we enjoyed ourselves here. It's Sunday at noon, perfect cool and relaxing ambiance. We stopped in after a nice motorcycle ride. Food server was very polite and accommodating. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some recommendations. We had the Roasted Beet Salad, Smoked Local Fish Dip, Stonefish Sandwich with onion rings, Bri's KC Chicken Sandwich, and 808 Crafted Burger. Did Ilio Explorers with the Hawaiian Humane society and wanted somewhere to get a drink and a bite to eat that was dog friendly. Stonefish looked appealing so we decided to stop by. The hostess is located on the other side, by the parking lot, not where you enter on the sidewalk by the street on the patio. We got seated promptly at a nice outdoor high top that had one of the fly fans on the table! Our waitress was very nice and brought a bowl of water for our pup. The fish dip was really good, it just needs more crackers or bagel chips because we finished those and had more dip left... The drinks were really good too! The spicy margarita was SPICY! I love spice and I was taken aback. I adore it but if you cant handle much more than a Jalepeno, I'd try something else. Everything was great until a screaming child got sat right behind us and honestly ruined it. We couldn't even hear ourselves and it stressed out our dog. We took a scenic motorcycle ride down to North Shore with our neighbors. Walked-in after 12:30. Tourists spot! But luckily got seated right away. Nice hostess. Nice interior. Open air atmosphere with AC running but still....the summer heat was brutal & doors being wide open wasted the AC.... Server Ryan, was very helpful and busy as they switched over from breakfast Menu to the lunch rush. We ordered drinks. I had POG, everyone else had Mai Tai's. Expect to wait a little as they are quite busy. Other staff members were helpful at taking our requests. My Smoked Local Fish Dip was excellent! Fish was Walu (Sunfish). Ordered an extra side of toasted bread since there was lots of dip! A must-try! I also ordered the Roasted Beet Salad with wine poached pear, mandarin oranges and candied walnuts, and goat cheese. Great presentation! The Stone Fish Sandwich "Blackened" with chipotle was spicy, yet very tasty. Would ask for less dressing next time. Fish was Ono. Our Neighbors ordered the 808 Crafted Burger & Bri's KC Chicken Sandwich. They said it was really good. We had such a great ride this weekend. A good restaurant option in the heart of Haleiwa. I had the seafood chowder and Caesar salad. The chowder was full of clams and fish, but a little too salty. Salad was good but needed a touch more dresing. My wife had the house salad that was nice and colorful, and full of all kinds of veggies. I love places like this. It looks upscale but feels casual. The food here was so good! The server kept trying to upsell us, but he wasn't pushy. I think he was disappointed, though, because we didn't get drinks. He pretty much ignored us after our food was delivered and overcharged us for those upsells, like $10 for adding tofu to a dish! They fixed it after we said something, though. We ordered the Seafood Chowder and taro noodles. They brought out fresh bread to start. I ordered some chocolate cake with Tahitian Vanilla ice cream to go , brought it home and, sadly, forgot about it. Hopefully, someone was able to enjoy it! read more

Worst calamari I've ever had. Took them over 10 min to make the appetizer and I had to ask wtf was taking so long. Didn't want it replaced, but the "manager" kept insisting that they remake it and it would be free and wouldn't take very long. Unfortunately she didn't do her 1 job which was tell/input the order and NOTHING came your table. Some of the worst service I've received in a long time. Thank god I got rice (+1.50) because the poke was gross. I shouldn't have to drowned my Poke in rice to make it edible. The BLT: very poor ingredients as well. The bacon was bottom shelf. While shopping around the area, we decided to have lunch on the patio. Ambiance is lovely, very quaint and modern. The outdoor patio tables have little fans to keep the bugs away which was convenient and nice. Food wise, the seafood chowder is delicious, full of flavor and seafood chunks and is a must try as all the other reviews we saw say. We also got the garlic shrimp appetizer which was yummy and extra garlicky, the beet salad which was fresh and refreshing and the catch of the day which was marlin and cooked just right. The food and drinks were great. We had the Mac crusted catch, the poke, and the garlic shrimp. All were amazing. The Lilikoi kamaze was also great, and my husband loved the booze forward 1944 Mai tai. Our server, Ekolu was outstanding. I'd checked out Yelp food photos, though the dinner menu did not have all the dishes fellow Yelpers had me salivating over. First time visiting historic Haliewa town on the north shore of Oahu. This restaurant has a nice appearance from outside so checked out the menu. Interior a very cool, relaxing place for lunch. We chose to sit inside since it was on and off sprinkling. The seating is very spacious so you're not crowded on top of other tables. The Local Burrito is something I will have dreams about for a long time. With the perfect egg ratio, the fried rice, Portuguese sausage and spam was the most delicious combo. The spam katsu was also amazing! After a long beach day at Pipeline, we decided to come back here for pau hana and are so happy we did. The blackened ahi and ahi katsu sliders hit the spot. The ambiance is definitely north shore vibes. We came at lunch time and got seated without a problem. The indoor seating is still very open where chickens and flies come inside. There was a little chicken roaming around the inside eating food off the ground. My bf ordered the loco moco and I ordered the katsu sandwich with onion rings. We also got the crab cake salad to share. He loco moco was standard and the katsu sandwich didn't look as appealing as I'd imagine. When I upgraded $2 for 5 pieces of onion rings that came out cold! The katsu burger also was not hot, it was warm turning cold. I told the server and she was kind enough to get another order of onion rings which came out nice and crispy. That's what I expected the first time. I asked if they make the fries or onion rings but they don't. They do make the katsu burger and the crab cakes thought I assume the loco moco burger too. Anyway, the best dish was definitely the crab cakes. I ordered the mango salsa and salad dressing on the side. The dressing was an avocado mayo. It did match the crab cakes.
