The noise level was extreme ... Though contacted several times to confirm the reservation, the wait was twenty minutes beyond the reservation time. Very under staffed for the crowd of patrons. Servers seemed overwhelmed though polite. The menu had insufficient descriptions of items which required servers extra time to explain them. The entree I selected Rio Pasta was excellent though required considerable description by the server to sway we to order it. The dessert I ordered was cheesecake with strawberry compote topping. The cheesecake was served without the strawberry compote with explanation they had no compote. Dissatisfied I returned the dessert but suddenly it reappeared with strawberry compote topping. A favorite dinner spot for date nights. Steaks are great (try the coffee cured filet). The stacked cheeseburger is a good option if you're looking for something less expensive. The ahi tuna salad is another good option (with a side of their deciduous fries). Service is always wonderful. We typically sit at the bar and have a nice time. read more

For being a higher end restaurant in a great location, with steep prices, you'd expect better presentation. This place is very dirty. They only surface clean. The bathroom was filthy on a Saturday afternoon. The staff is friendly so, the 2-stars are for them. The food was just okay. I got a French dip with asparagus and the tips of some of the the asparagus spears, were mush, in other words not fresh. We visited Stoney River for a relative's birthday and the atmosphere, food, cocktails, and the service made it feel extra special! Well I always like to be honest and open minded. It was extremely difficult to speak with someone who might need reservations over 6 guest. I desired reservations for 11 people. It took me 3 weeks 2 employees and 2 managers clarity to actually determine with the staff the procedure/policy to reserve a table extending 6 guest. I also need to complete a credit card authorization form for my church prior to arrival to clear the check. Well they couldn't accommodate this requestvs after speaking to managers. The card has to be present. The party size had a minimum of $1,100 bill required. Closer to the date the guest had to decline and I reserved just two tables next to eat other. We only need 1 whe it was all said and finally done. On the our arrival the staff was very familiar with the menu, drinks and selection. They suggested their favorites with smiles. The energy they possess was joyful, nice and ready to ensure we enjoyed our experienced. The Spinach Dip was creamy texture, really smooth, plated pretty, there wasn't a strong savory or flavors but little under seasoned but with the lightly seasoned chips it paired well. The ingredients was fresh and light. Chips where in house and they did a fantastic job. Not oily or heavy but light and crispy. The steak rolls were delicious!! We came in for a late lunch on Tuesday. Hostesses weren't very friendly. Our waitress was friendly and helpful however where they sat us (behind the wines) there were a lot of gnats flying around. That wasn't pleasant. We ordered the spinach dip, the French Dip and a Cheeseburger. We really liked the spinach dip and I loved the French Dip but my husband thought the cheeseburger wasn't that good. The Parmesan fries that come with the meals are just okay. I had dinner there last night for the first time. I had read some prior reviews claiming rude staff. My experience was totally different. From the greeting at the entrance throughout the entire evening, the numerous staff members we came in contact with couldn't have been nicer. I had an A/C vent blowing on me and brought to the attention of our host / waitress. She immediately brought it to the attention of a manager who came and told me they had raised the temp. And it immediately got more comfortable. I had prime rib and it was wonderful. Wife had steak salad and loved it. The menu has lots of great choices. The restaurant is very nice, inside and out. The food here is delicious. The setting is welcoming for a date, family or meet up with friends.

Food was good, as was the ambiance. Service was just ok, attentive and polite but there was no personality whatsoever there. We felt as if we were interacting with a table robot that you'd find in a tech centered restaurant in Japan. Fits that old cliche, "The lights are on, but nobody is home." What a night at Stoney River! From the reservations to the end of our meal, we felt special. The night was befitting for the occasion. So making online reservations was easy peasy. You simply log on leave your name, time, occasion, and date. This made it so convenient for our arrival. Once we arrived, they congratulated us and they sat us at our table. We started off with our drinks...OMG the best Apple Martini I've had! Well worth every penny. On top of that they gave us two complimentary glasses of Champagne, it was on point as well. Now to the food! EVERYTHING we had was DELICIOUS! The steak rolls had a perfect balance of cheese and steak. The sides (pictured) were literally the best sweet potatoes and cream spinach I had in a long time and of course the main dishes were worth every penny. I feel like the quality of Stoney River is on the decline. When I first patronized the restaurant it was great. A few weeks ago I had the eggs Benedict, and it was completely inedible. The flavor was odd and my boyfriend agreed it was not good at all. I try not to be one of those people who complains at restaurants so I just didn't eat it. Tonight, we ordered to-go. I got the coffee cured filet medium rare. It was burned to a crisp on the outside and there were parts in the center that were so raw they were blue. I didn't particularly like the flavor but that is just personal preference and through no fault of the chef. However, if I am paying $50 for a filet mignon, it better be cooked perfectly. read more

This is one of the best experiences I've had in any restaurant in a long time! This was our first trip here and we will be back! We had Crab Cakes for an appetizer and I added a cup of Lobster Bisque to start as well. Before the appetizers arrived we were given their complimentary biscuits. I'm just going to skip right pass this and move on. No need in talking about these "biscuits". Crab Cakes were fantastic! They were full of meat with just the right amount of veggies and binder (for lack of a better word). It was "well put together" if you will... I don't care for mustard sauces normally but along with the mango salsa it was great! We gobbled it all up! I'd order it asap if you like Crab Cakes at al! My Bisque was fabulous! It was rich and creamy while also being especially poignant with the sensation of Sherry at the end. It was different, and quite a refreshing change from the normal Lobster Bisque soups I've had elsewhere. I was so damn full already I just ordered the French Dip and Fries for dinner. I figured this would be a safe bet, plus I really wanted to try it. Charity orders the Prime Rib and we wait on our dinner to arrive. My French Dip arrives and I must say this is one of the best French Dips I've ever had. It was thinly shaved, Rare Prime Rib, on an "almost perfect" crunchy Baguette. The horseradish was an outstanding compliment. The AuJus was rich and beefy but could have been served piping hot. This would have made it unbelievable. I could only eat about 60% of it, because it was so much! I was disappointed in the fries though. They seemed undercooked and limp while also being slightly cool. It was overall great, don't get me wrong, it just could have been out of this world if these little things were nailed down! Charity loved her Prime Rib! I had a bite and it just melted in your mouth. She had the caramelized onion mashed potatoes as a side. They were very tasty (I tried them too ;)).
