My husband, best friend and husband , my Son & his wife and myself went to dinner on 12/22/24 to celebrate my birthday. The service was horrible. I believe server's name was Diaja or Dajia. No introducing herself to table just tossed the drink & specials for the night menus down on table. My Son's dinner came 15 minutes after the rest of ours, he had chicken. We were then told the side, garlic mashed potatoes were not available so what would we like to substitute. My son asked for baked potato and I asked for asparagus. The potato came within 3 minutes but asparagus took 10 minutes and was cold. The topping on the "cake" of this visit was they did provide a generous slice of chocolate cake with a candle and when server brought the cake to table she said in the lowest voice I've ever heard Happy and then didn't say another word. Thank heavens my best friend has a loud voice and started singing Happy Birthday, another missing item was my Son who went to rest room. Why would she bring out the cake when everyone, there was 6 of us, was not at the table? Oh one more thing she was clearing table and had 3 plates on her arm and she said to my husband "put those on top of these" no excuse me would you mind or would you please place, nothing. An 18% gratuity was added to bill. She definitely did not deserve an 18% gratuity. I am a diner who, I believe, is generous in tipping. If service is good, I generally tip 20-25%. This server did not deserve a dime. I hope the management at Stoney River sees this review and can do some more training with the girl who was our server that night. Food was ok. One had a filet another has prime rib, my Son had chicken, his wife had trout, my husband had chicken and I had medallions Oscar (which was extremely salty). First time there and everything was great from our waiter Ben to the food and drinks. Some people may say it is a little on the pricey side but it is not the menu fits everybody's budget. Dress code is pretty much come as you are. The inside of the restaurant is elegant. The GM Cristi came out upon request to inform us of their vegan options. I was able to enjoy the meal and wine. Everyone in our party loved the steak egg roll, Nashville hot biscuit sliders, and it's best to split a bottle of the champagne for mimosas, but know the LaMarcus Procecco is not vegan friendly. The noise level was extreme ... Though contacted several times to confirm the reservation, the wait was twenty minutes beyond the reservation time. Very under staffed for the crowd of patrons. Servers seemed overwhelmed though polite. The menu had insufficient descriptions of items which required servers extra time to explain them. The entree I selected Rio Pasta was excellent though required considerable description by the server to sway we to order it. The dessert I ordered was cheesecake with strawberry compote topping. For being a higher end restaurant in a great location, with steep prices, you'd expect better presentation. This place is very dirty. They only surface clean. The bathroom was filthy on a Saturday afternoon. The staff is friendly so, the 2-stars are for them. The food was just okay. I got a French dip with asparagus and the tips of some of the the asparagus spears, were mush, in other words not fresh. We came in for a late lunch on Tuesday. Hostesses weren't very friendly. Our waitress was friendly and helpful however where they sat us (behind the wines) there were a lot of gnats flying around. That wasn't pleasant. We ordered the spinach dip, the French Dip and a Cheeseburger. I had dinner there last night for the first time. I had read some prior reviews claiming rude staff. My experience was totally different. From the greeting at the entrance throughout the entire evening, the numerous staff members we came in contact with couldn't have been nicer. I had an A/C vent blowing on me and brought to the attention of our host / waitress. She immediately brought it to the attention of a manager who came and told me they had raised the temp. And it immediately got more comfortable. I had prime rib and it was wonderful. Wife had steak salad and loved it. The menu has lots of great choices. The restaurant is very nice, inside and out. What a night at Stoney River! From the reservations to the end of our meal, we felt special. The night was befitting for the occasion. So making online reservations was easy peasy. You simply log on leave your name, time, occasion, and date. This made it so convenient for our arrival. Once we arrived, they congratulated us and they sat us at our table. We started off with our drinks...OMG the best Apple Martini I've had! Well worth every penny. On top of that they gave us two complimentary glasses of Champagne, it was on point as well. Now to the food! EVERYTHING we had was DELICIOUS! The steak rolls had a perfect balance of cheese and steak. The sides (pictured) were literally the best sweet potatoes and cream spinach I had in a long time and of course the main dishes were worth every penny. We felt as if we were interacting with a table robot that you'd find in a tech centered restaurant in Japan. Fits that old cliche, "The lights are on, but nobody is home." I feel like the quality of Stoney River is on the decline. When I first patronized the restaurant it was great. A few weeks ago I had the eggs Benedict, and it was completely inedible. The flavor was odd and my boyfriend agreed it was not good at all. I try not to be one of those people who complains at restaurants so I just didn't eat it. Tonight, we ordered to-go. I got the coffee cured filet medium rare. It was burned to a crisp on the outside and there were parts in the center that were so raw they were blue. I didn't particularly like the flavor but that is just personal preference and through no fault of the chef. However, if I am paying $50 for a filet mignon, it better be cooked perfectly. read more

This is one of the best experiences I've had in any restaurant in a long time! This was our first trip here and we will be back! We had Crab Cakes for an appetizer and I added a cup of Lobster Bisque to start as well. Before the appetizers arrived we were given their complimentary biscuits. I'm just going to skip right pass this and move on. No need in talking about these "biscuits". Crab Cakes were fantastic! They were full of meat with just the right amount of veggies and binder (for lack of a better word). It was "well put together" if you will... I don't care for mustard sauces normally but along with the mango salsa it was great! We gobbled it all up! I'd order it asap if you like Crab Cakes at al! My Bisque was fabulous! It was rich and creamy while also being especially poignant with the sensation of Sherry at the end. It was different, and quite a refreshing change from the normal Lobster Bisque soups I've had elsewhere. I was so damn full already I just ordered the French Dip and Fries for dinner. I figured this would be a safe bet, plus I really wanted to try it. Charity orders the Prime Rib and we wait on our dinner to arrive. My French Dip arrives and I must say this is one of the best French Dips I've ever had. It was thinly shaved, Rare Prime Rib, on an "almost perfect" crunchy Baguette. The horseradish was an outstanding compliment. The AuJus was rich and beefy but could have been served piping hot. This would have made it unbelievable. I could only eat about 60% of it, because it was so much! I was disappointed in the fries though. They seemed undercooked and limp while also being slightly cool. It was overall great, don't get me wrong, it just could have been out of this world if these little things were nailed down! Charity loved her Prime Rib! I had a bite and it just melted in your mouth. She had the caramelized onion mashed potatoes as a side. They were very tasty (I tried them too ;)). She couldn't eat all of hers either so we had to go... BONUS! I couldn't stand to think about dessert, maybe next time... Overall, I am a fan! read more
