This place is FIRE!!!! I've been here a few times over the years, but my last experience was amazing! I'm still thinking about my filet! I'm not one to really jump on a chain restaurant bandwagon, but my last meal at Stoney River was dining at the finest! My filet was top tier and it was grilled to perfection! I came with a friend of mine from out of town and this was her first experience at this establishment. We both ordered the 10oz Filet. Mine was served with a mushroom sauce, Béarnaise & mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the coffee encrusted filet, Oscar Style with a loaded 1lb baked potato! We were both in steak heaven with every bite! For drinks we each ordered a raspberry lemon drop martini and split a bottle of wine. I can't wait to come back and do it all over again! Lol

I created a steak salad because I was not a fan of the choice on the menu. The steak lacked flavor but overall I would order again. The herb vinaigrette dressing is really good. Service was okay- I could tell the bar service was overwhelmed prior to ordering. Ambiance is clean and casual.

Celebrated an anniversary here and was into the cozy vibe + mood lighting, and the bar area is cool too. Staff were nice and helpful. The steaks and sides were prepared well, while the garlic poppyseed bread rolls and ranch dressing on the house salad were a bit of a surprise (both tasted more sweet than anticipated but not in a negative way). Their chocolate cake had an impressive size (enough to split and have leftovers) and was decadent. Will have to return to try more!

We had a work retirement luncheon here and I've never been here but was impressed with this place. Very nice inside and roomy. The food was amazing as we ordered several appetizers for our tables and all were great! I ordered the cedar planked salmon for lunch and wow it was amazing!! Our server was very nice and attentive all afternoon. Everyone said their lunches were good and tasty. We all thought it was a little overpriced that's all. They have great though!

Very nice dinner with friends. Seasonal drinks but, happily settled with a delicious spicy margarita, jalapeno vodka ;) . Had to order deviled eggs, after 3 others said they'll enjoy, so I didn't eat all 6 halves. Delicious yumminess I happily paid for too ;) As for dinner, so many good choices! Enjoyed the meat loaf with mushroom sauce ( something I don't cook myself) and switched from mashed to baked potato. The sauce on the side ended up on having with every bite! Truly, a very nice meal, I'll enjoy the leftovers!!

I'm amazed the rating is not higher! Nice inside, typical for a steak house. We asked the server for recommendations and ordered three of them! Everything was excellent! We started with steak egg rolls. Very Yummy. For me though, the pecan crusted trout stole the show! First, it was huge! Enough for three meals. It was so light and flaky. I would never have thought of pairing honey mustard with fish, but it was sooo delicious! The green beans & mashed potatoes were plentiful, but standard. Honestly, I didn't care because everything else was so good. I almost forgot about the bread... little sweet donut like bread rolls with a light cinnamon butter. I can't wait to return!

I would have given them 5 stars. I went on a Sunday they were totally busy and I would say understaffed. It was a longggggggggggggg wait time for everything, although I was seated right away. it seemed like I waited an eternity for my server. Someone did come and get my drink order and I still waited even longer for my server. She was kind just swamped and I have great patience so I understand but I waited a long time to place my order and then to finally get my food. I think I got a ribeye or New York paired with scallop potatoes. I ordered it well done just because trying new steak houses can be shifty. I was impressed with the quality of the meat. It was prepared perfectly. It wasn't overcooked it was still juicy and tinder--and had a delicious flavor. The bread that comes before the meal is absolutely mouthwateringly delicious. I want to try the eggrolls the next time I go and hopefully the wait time won't be so ridiculous. Very cute bar area. The restrooms were clean. The restaurant is huge and the staff was polite and friendly. My server was incredibly kind too. She was just overwhelmed. It was just me however I was there for like two hours. It was too long--she kept apologizing for it. Hopefully next time my wait time won't be so long.

My friend had a gift certificate for a dinner for two to this restaurant. My friend asked me to join her for dinner, and I went as I had never heard of this restaurant before, so I was interested in trying. I had glanced the menu beforehand and had in mind some appetizers that I was interested in ordering. Once we arrived to the restaurant, everything from the wait staff, to the ambiance was very nice. We were seated and our server (server name is Nester G) came right over to the table and immediately took our orders. What we didn't know, and to our pleasant surprise is that the gift certificate for two not only included two dinner entrees of choice, it included an appetizer, soup or salad, and dessert. I was totally shocked, in a great way! Especially since my friend explained as to the reason she received the gift certificate was due to an unpleasant experience at the restaurant in the past We ordered the Steak Rolls (appetizer), House Salad, Cedar Plank Salmon (Entree), 14 oz Ribeye (Entree), and Carrot Cake (Dessert). Everything was delicious! There was so much food for leftovers as well, as the portion size of the entrees were a nice size. And let's not talk about the massive size of the slice of carrot cake, it was huge enough to share some of the restaurant and take home for leftovers. I even went back a few days later to order a slice of carrot cake to go, that's how delicious the cake is! Well, Stoney River has won a new customer! I've been raving and sending pictures of the food to my other foodie friends to spread the word about the restaurant since dining there. I definitely plan to return to try more menu items! And my friend was happy to have a pleasant experience opposed to her previous experience, and she also will be returning to the restaurant in the future!

I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. The avocado was rock hard, the chicken tasted off, and there were visibly rotted pieces of lettuce mixed into the salad. I let our server know, and she agreed it "didn't look normal." She took it back and asked what I'd like instead. I ordered the Chicken Giardiniera. It didn't arrive until the rest of my party had already finished eating. I've had this dish here before, and this version wasn't anywhere near the quality I remembered. The server even brought me a to-go box without asking because, at that point, everyone else was done and ready to leave. When the bill came, the salad was removed, but I was charged full price for the replacement entrée--even though it was served so late that I barely had a chance to eat it. What was most disappointing wasn't the food itself, but how the situation was handled. There was no apology, no manager stopped by, and no effort to make things right. For the prices Cooper's Hawk charges, I'd expect much better food quality and customer service. Very disappointing experience, and after seeing the quality decline over multiple visits, I won't be returning.

She had an attention to detail, commanded her team, and went above and beyond to build a relationship with us as customers. We started with cocktails- bubbles and berries, martinis and they were glorious. Next, an order of calamari and deviled eggs. Calamari- crispy and chewy two great components. The deviled eggs were topped with caviar and had a great texture and mustard. These are way better than the church potluck! (This reviewer loves a church potluck so this is high praise.) For soup and salad we had blue cheese wedges and lobster bisque. Both great! Best lobster bisque in Michigan. It rivals bisque from the best on the east coast. Entrees we had T- bone steak, cod, branzino and salmon. All fantastic. The cod was also our guests favorite fish meal ever! Last we were tempted into dessert and that also was a fantastic choice. The peanut butter "pie" was absolutely amazing- hats off to pastry! All in a great experience! Best item of the night- Lobster Bisque and that Peanut butter pie! I would go back for just those! Things I think are strange- charging for bread- The dress code- why are we wearing baseball hats in fine dining? When did I get so formal? (I'll save the rest for counseling.) And you will pay for this dining experience. So just be ready! I did see another table with popcorn and will be getting some next time!

The day before our reservation, I stopped in to drop off flowers, a card, and a bottle of Fabric of the Land by Quilt--the same wine my wife and I shared at our wedding. I simply asked if they could help make the evening special. What the team did from there went far beyond anything we could have expected. They even thoughtfully decanted our wine a couple of hours before our arrival so it would be ready for us. From the moment we walked through the doors, the hospitality was extraordinary. The host team was incredibly kind and welcoming and escorted us to a beautiful booth they had selected for our anniversary. Every detail made us feel as though the entire team genuinely cared about making this occasion special. Nothing, however, made our evening more memorable than Teal. Her warmth, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality were absolutely exceptional. She helped turn an already special anniversary into something my wife and I will sincerely never forget. Managers John Scholl and John Hall were also tremendous standouts. Both went out of their way to make us feel not simply welcomed, but genuinely valued. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it speaks volumes about the culture of the restaurant and the people leading it. And then there was the food--which was absolutely phenomenal. We started with the calamari and baked sea scallops, followed by the French onion soup, and everything was outstanding. We were kindly told that we could order half portions of the sides, so naturally we decided to try several: the wild mushrooms, jalapeño au gratin, street corn, and truffle mac and cheese. They even went above and beyond by bringing us the truffle popcorn from the lounge menu while we were dining in the main dining room. Every single item was incredible. For our entrées, my wife had the salmon and I had the ribeye. Both were cooked to absolute perfection, and the off-menu zip sauce with the ribeye was superb. As if the evening had not already exceeded every expectation, the team also treated us to a sample of Inniskillin Cabernet dessert wine, something we had never tried before. And because we were far too full by the end of dinner, they sent us home with an anniversary peanut butter pie to enjoy later--which was absolutely to die for. I want to give a sincere thank-you not only to Teal, John Scholl, and John Hall, but to the entire Ocean Prime team--from the hosts and service staff to the chefs and everyone working behind the scenes. An experience like this does not happen because of one person alone. It takes an entire team committed to hospitality and excellence, and that was evident throughout the entire evening. You helped create a memory for my wife and me that we will cherish for years to come. If you are looking for more than simply a great meal--if you are looking for an elevated dining experience where the food, service, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality all come together--I cannot recommend Ocean Prime Troy highly enough. We walked in excited to celebrate our anniversary and walked out as absolute raving fans. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Thank you to everyone at Ocean Prime for making our sixth anniversary something we will never forget. We cannot wait to come back as you have made raving fans out of us for life. May God truly bless you all for everything you do. Your Raving Fans, The Deane's

The food quality remains subpar relative to the premium pricing, with steaks frequently served overcooked. Beyond the poor execution in the kitchen, management's failure to enforce a basic dress code or standards of decorum significantly degrades the brand, reducing what should be an elevated fine-dining atmosphere to the feel of a casual Detroit sports bar. On my initial visit, a guest inside the dining room was permitted to wear a full sweatsuit, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. Upon leaving, I discovered discarded Hennessy liquor bottles left directly beside my vehicle's front bumper. Years later, on Mother's Day, the overall ambiance remained severely compromised. An adjacent table spent considerable time individually declining multiple credit cards for baked chicken dinners, while another patron seated directly at the bar wore sagging basketball shorts below his rear end leaving his exposed undergarments directly on the stool seating. By tolerating these conditions for so long, Ruth's Chris Troy has fundamentally undermined its own culture and standard of hospitality.

Our server, Derek W., truly went above and beyond--attentive, warm, and incredibly professional. We will absolutely be requesting him every time we visit. We loved our seating, which made the evening feel even more special. The food was phenomenal--starting with the calamari, tuna, and caviar. The caviar was especially outstanding... absolutely delicious. And of course, you can never go wrong with their fresh bread. For entrées, my husband had the filet mignon and loved it. The Chilean sea bass, as always, was perfection. The sides were equally impressive. Consistently a 5-star experience--Eddie V's never disappoints.

I couldn't bear to spend the amount they charged for an entree, so I got the warm goat cheese salad, and my sister & I shared the crab fried rice. Both were delicious, but the price point was awfully high. Our server, Jessie (?) was very nice and efficient, but very, very rehearsed. I felt like she was over the top with the "Is everything tasting delicious this evening?" and other such comments. It almost seemed like she walked off a stage to be the server. But, her service was good, and she was very polite, waiting until people stopped talking before she started telling us whatever she needed to say. The young man who refilled the water and bread (I didn't catch his name) was also very efficient without being obtrusive. Overall, I did enjoy it, and I certainly liked the atmosphere. Although, it was loud and very difficult to hear our tablemates.

We have been here two times now- both times celebrating our anniversary. We live in Monroe, so…read morecoming all the way here is definitely a journey, but worth it in our opinion! I'd like to take a minute and reflect on both times- the good and the not-so-good. First visit: Aug of 2025. The good: We felt very pleased with the service, we felt like our waiter and the meat guys (lol do they have a special name?) were very friendly and knowledgeable. The market was DELICIOUS. We both loved the salads, and most of the other items. I loved the little cheese breads they gave you at the start of the experience. The drinks were absolutely delicious- my husband got the bourbon drink and I got the Yellowbird. Our waiter asked us if we were celebrating anything right away, so we felt like they understood the importance of us having an enjoyable and pleasurable experience. They gave us a complimentary cheesecake for dessert with a gorgeous and thoughtful plate that said "Happt Anniversary." They truly helped us feel special and celebrated on our first wedding anniversary. The not-so-great: When we first had arrived, we did let the host know we had a reservation. We ended up having to wait a little bit until we were finally sat. Also, my husband felt like he was getting more over-done meat rather than medium rare. But, overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and clearly, since we decided to come back again for our 2nd wedding anniversary! Aug 2026: The good: The drinks were great again, the market was delicious again. The meat bringers (lol) were bringing around different items this time besides meat and OMG! The grilled pineapple was AMAZING!! And the cheese and honey was TO DIE FOR! Seriously the best parts of the meal was the market, the pineapple, the filet mignon, and the cheese and honey. The not-so-good: We arrived on time for our reservation, maybe 5 minutes early, and we had to stand around and wait in the crowded lobby for about 15 minutes. It was kind of a long time to wait around when you had a reservation, but not a huge deal. The filet mignon came around only twice, and the second time we had to try to ask someone if we could have more of it. That and the picanha are really the only good meats... Its just frustrating that the sausage, top sirloin, and chicken wings were coming around 10 times but the filet mignon rarely ever came around. The picanha probably came around only two times too. I definitely would not spend more money to get the most expensive all you can eat experience- considering you rarely get your preferred choice of meat. Also, the manager I believe came around and asked how everything was, and we told her it was great which it was, she then asked us if we wanted to see a certain meat. I told her actually yes- we want filet mignon we only got offered it once. She asked what temperature we wanted it and we told her medium rare please. And then she went over to the next table near us and just stood there chatting with them for literally like 30 minutes (they spoke the same language so they clearly either knew each other, or had some connections which is FINE, but then why ask us what we wanted...) I also want to speak on our server. He was young, I think his name was Tristan. He was nice, but not very friendly or welcoming and I had my water go unfilled for quite some time. I also asked him if he could grab that honey and cheese guy again (which I'm sure that's an annoying request) but he was just like "oh he'll be coming back around again." Like lol ok... He didn't ask us if we were celebrating anything (we were) until the very end of the meal after he asked us if we wanted the dessert menu. He said this "Would you like the dessert menu?" I hesitated because I did want the cheesecake but was super full, and that's when he said are you celebrating anything and I said yes it is our anniversary, and he said we get a free dessert. He came back with the dessert menu and I saw the cheesecake brûlée but I just wanted a plain cheesecake like I had the year prior. He told me they have one (I didn't see it on the menu- red flag) but I ordered one to go. Obviously when you dont get a dessert for there, you don't get the pretty happy anniversary plate, but I wasn't expecting to get slopped down a plastic bag with a tiny sliver of... you guessed it... brûlée cheesecake. I was disappointed but didn't say anything since it was free. Overall, I would recommend coming here, despite some minor challenges. However, it is not cheap, so I think when something is very costly, and people aren't 100% satisfied with either the quality/quantity/frequency of offerings, then it gets disappointing. Also- I wanted to mention weirdly my Yellowbird last year came with a gorgeous Aloe leaf as a garnish and this year my garnish was a curled lime skin and two black straws... lol so Idk what happened there. Maybe I didn't get the same drink! Who knows. We do plan on coming back for the next anniversary next August.
