We had a bit of a wait so definitely recommend getting there early and putting your name down We ended up ordering the mushroom tartine with pesto sauce and a poached egg. It was very flavorful. The highlight however was the eggplant halloumi sandwich . The homemade cheese and roasted eggplant complemented one another so well and their fresh brioche bread took it to the next level. Colorful Colorado dish is INSANELY delicious. I'm so happy I got that dish. My husband got the strawberry pistachio rhubarb yuzu waffle which was also bomb. What a great spot! The staff are really nice and the food comes quickly. We had a wait of 30 minutes but Hearth is a few blocks down so we grabbed some pastries beforehand. Best meal on the trip so far! read more

First time here in several years. They can be hard to find because the only signage is the front door. No other signage. But the atmosphere and food quality is top notch and worth visiting. Their menu offers creative breakfast & lunch items with American & Japanese ingredients. They have a full bar with coffee, espresso, chai/teas, beer, wine, cocktails and sake. I started with their Batch Brew Stella blend coffee (free refill). It was served in a stack with creamer on top (see photo). My breakfast choice was Black Rice porridge, made with Anson Mills black rice, banana porridge, coconut milk, mango, passionfriut, all topped with spiced coconut flakes. Very good. I then had their daily coffee cake. Very nice with walnuts. Hayden B was an excellent & attentive server. I will be back soon, maybe for lunch. Big fan of Stowaway Kitchen. I have been coming here for years and have watched it grow in popularity and you can see why. The food is not your basic American breakfast fare; it is Australian/Asian inspired and has something for everyone. You can go light and fresh or hearty and filling. There really isn't a wrong choice on the menu. Staff is friendly and willing to answer questions about the menu. My biggest complaint is that, because it has become so busy, it is now quite hard to get a table without a wait. Wildly unimpressed with all the the FOH staff. The hostess was passive, condescending and non-communicative. The server, Jess, was apparently too cool for her job apparently. It took 15 minutes to be greeted as if we were cramping their style. Every interaction afterward was snarky and short. The whole FOH staff is horrible about customer service let alone communication. Classic unwelcoming pretentious hipster vibes. Food was nothing to write home about. One small turnip quarterd, 3 half inch pieces of a large carrot, some bits of greens, and beet sprouts. That on top of a heaping mound of grains. Basically you're buying maybe $1 worth of grain for $17 because that's the hip thing to do apparently. Save yourself the trouble and eat at home. Do I recommend this place? Yes, yes, and yes. This place offers a different type of breakfast, which is what captivated me. The photos online were perfect and gave a good visual. This was the first I have seen photos and felt confident it would be a good spot. First off we had a slice of coffee cake and that started the day right. Talk about MOIST and tasty. We were a party of three so we proceeded to sample the so-rough dough waffle and OMG. This is my new fave type of waffle. For actual meal I got the japense asa ghu. It comes with white rice, avocado, salmon, seaweed , purple cabbage and an egg. The flavors came together so well. It was well balanced and healthy but with flavor. The chai latte was delicious as well. We did not have one bad thing at this spot. Definitely check it out. The spot is also clean and nice. Great big windows with great lighting and plenty of plants. Give old farm house converted to restaurant vibe. I also recommend making a reservation as it can get busy. We did get lucky and showed up (walk in) about 930/10 and had a 30 minute wait. My friends picked this spot for a late brunch for Sunday morning. We arrived around 11:30 AM and were told our wait time could be up to 45 min. Since 3 of 4 of us are here from out of town, we opted to wait. They took down my phone number and said they would text me when our table is ready. So we decided to walk over the the Denver Market for some coffee. While there, we were texted within 15 min that a table was ready for us at Stowaway. So I sent my friends back to get the table while I waited for the drink I just ordered. The restaurant was nice enough not to say anything when 3 of us walked in with to go coffees from another place. We sat and ordered right away. In which the food took forever to come out... We ordered: - scone - quiche (these 2 came out quickly, but the only prep for them was plating them since they came out from the display case) - Colorful Colorado - Breakfast Sandwich When our hot dishes finally came out, we had 2 orders of the Colorful Colorado, and after taking photos of our dishes (they sure are pretty!), I noticed mine was missing eggs. Which I didn't modify my dish, so I flagged down the waitress and she apologized not realizing the missing eggs either. Once I got the eggs added, I asked for ketchup, which they didn't have, but offered a tomato chutney and a hot sauce, which I gladly said yes to both. My food was good, but nothing over the top amazing. Not the best brunch spot I have ever had. So would prob try something else next time I am around the area. read more

This was in the downtown Denver area and it was really nice. The location was great when we left, we were able to just continue down the street and shop at their open market. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive, and really helped with suggestions considering this was a new type of restaurant for us all. I really enjoyed the waffle. Get the black rice coconut pudding or the chicken Katsu sandwich or the eggplant sandwich or literally any of their pastries. I don't like cinnamon rolls except on Christmas, when I make them from scratch, but it just so happens that the first day we went, our waitress was also the baker and she recommended the cinnamon rolls and they were SO GOOD. I love the vibes inside. It's tiny and popular (because apparently everyone knew about this place except me) so get a reservation or put your name down and check out RiNo for a bit while you wait. THIS. First stop on our way through Denver. Best food we had in the state! The Colorful Colorado is basically a potato hash, but this was the most balanced meal that I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Perfectly cooked runny egg on top, acidic radishes and vinegar, creamy avocado, fresh greens and asparagus, salty ham, and a spicy sauce to pull it all together! Surprisingly light and didn't weigh me down at 9am. I also ordered a Cortada which was thick and strong to get me going for the day. Beautifully poured. We sat in a booth and enjoyed the weather by the garage door patio. Free and easy street parking. Not crowded at 9am on a Thursday. Near other food and clubs.
